At the hospital, David assured Josh that Greg may well have self-medicated with the drugs found in his system to treat his arrhythmia, but Josh remained skeptical.

Kendall ranted to Jack that she wanted to un-grant the parental rights she'd given to Ryan. Jack warned Kendall that she would have a tough time beating Ryan in a custody battle over their unborn son, especially if she only wanted custody in order to relinquish custody to adoptive parents. Kendall was confident that she would be able to prove that Ryan is an unfit father. Jack suggested that perhaps Ryan deserved a chance at parenthood and urged Kendall to help him understand why she felt that giving the baby up was the best solution. She accused him of bullying her and tried to storm out. Jack stopped her and vowed to stand by her if she thought about the situation carefully and decided that she did want to fight Ryan.

At Fusion, Zach refused to share with Ryan the damning info he has on Greg. Ryan begged him to 'fess up for Kendall's sake. Zach pointed out that Ryan is harboring info that he's not ponying up, a well. Both men refused to budge.

Dixie sneaked into Greg's office and began rifling around for leads on Kate. She froze when Tad opened the door, but managed to hide from him successfully. Hazel showed up and threw Tad out of the office before leaving herself. Soon, Dixie was joined by another surprise visitor: Zach. Dix then got a call on her cell phone from David and she agreed, reluctantly, to meet up with him. Zach said that in her absence, he'd scour Greg's office for her.

After Zach exited the Fusion offices, Ryan left a frantic message for Erica on her cell phone. Tad entered and probed Ryan for details about Greg's on-air collapse. Ryan tried to sidestep his questions about the role Erica played in the episode, then told Tad that Erica told him what Madden had done to her. "As in, everything," Ryan clarified, making it plain that he knew about Erica's true relationship to Josh. He hinted that Erica was indeed responsible for what had happened to Greg. The men agreed that it was critical to protect Kendall from Greg. Ryan gave Tad his word that La Kane would not make another attempt on Greg's life. After thanking Ryan for the "non-confirmation confirmation" of Erica's culpability in Greg's condition, he headed out to pursue a theory on where Erica might have gotten her hands on the medicine she used to cause Greg's cardiac episode. Uh-oh...

When Erica visited Greg in his hospital room, they danced around the real issue (the whole "Josh is Erica's son thing") while discussing Josh's suspicions that Erica had drugged Greg. They revisited the roots of their acquaintance that day she went to his clinic to terminate her pregnancy. "Do you regret what you did to me, Greg?" she queried. Greg then spoke about Josh's childhood and Erica snapped that she didn't regret not having a son, especially one who would accuse her of attempted murder. Greg reported to Erica that he had claimed to Josh that he was responsible for his own drugging then disclosed that he'd once had a dream in which Josh was her son. "I don't have a son," snapped Erica. "Dreams come true every day," Greg shrugged. Greg offered to help Josh see Erica through his (Greg's) eyes, as someone he could love and trust. "It's not too late to make things right," the doc added. Erica and Greg exchanged coy threats, but their cat-and-mouse game was interrupted by Josh's entrance. Greg asked him to stay, as there was something important he wanted to tell her about Ms. Kane. Just then, Kendall joined the group.

Zach found a curious brochure among Greg's belongings for something called the ReGeneration Spa.

Dixie headed to David's cabin, where he had arranged a romantic, candlelit dinner. He kissed her, but she told him to stop. "It's too soon," she gulped. She was nearly speechless when David presented her with a sword she'd once admired in a store window. As David pleaded with Dixie to give their romance another shot, Tad walked in and came face-to-face with a mortified Dixie.

At the Montgomery manse, Jack grilled Erica about why she had Greg as a guest on her show. Erica admitted that she'd nursed fantasies of doing harm to Greg but assured him that Ryan had talked her out of it. Jack took issue with the fact that she'd taken Ryan, not him, into her confidence. Erica said that Josh was the main reason she invited Greg to be on NEW BEGINNINGS and defended the good nature of her erstwhile associate producer. Jack disagreed with Erica's assessment and was surprised by Erica's willingness to forgive Josh for drugging her. Jack said nothing she could say would change his mind about Josh. The spouses then had a major spat regarding what Erica regarded as Jack's intolerance; La Kane claimed that it is to blame for Lily's withdrawal and for the general turmoil in their family.

Josh insisted to Greg that Erica deliberately tried to kill him. Greg stopped Josh from calling the cops and began a halting explanation of why Erica had it in for him. Greg was touched when Josh said that he'll never turn his back on his dad. "Tell me what you're hiding," he urged Greg. Greg fibbed that his secret was that he'd been self-medicating to treat his arrhythmia and that he was responsible for his own cardiac episode. Josh accused Greg of lying to protect Erica; he denied it.

Kendall warned Ryan that he would not get away with his attempts to sue her for custody of their unborn child. Zach entered the Fusion office during their heated confrontation and Kendall tried to throw him out, but he was determined to find Simone.... Ryan told Kendall that he had to try to secure custody of his son in order to protect Kendall and her son from Greg. Ryan made reference to what Greg had tried to do to Erica and Kendall demanded an explanation. To preserve Erica's secret, Lavery covered his slip, and Kendall remained the doc's impassioned champion. Kendall offended Ryan by pointing out that there's a difference between loving a child and wanting to possess it. Hart added that unless he shows her proof that Greg is a threat, he'll have to accept that Greg will continue to treat her.

Zach located Simone on the Fusion rooftop and handed her documents: a new birth certificate for Ethan in which Zach finally acknowledged him as his son. "Do you want me to take this to his grave?" spat Simone. Zach turned to leave, but a weeping Simone stopped him, saying she'd just learned she has nothing left. Translation: She'd thought she was pregnant and just found out that she's not. She collapsed in sobs in Zach's arms and said that she wanted to die, too. Zach noted that Ethan would want her to be happy and he got her to smile by talking about her courtship with Ethan.

JR proposed to Babe that they conceive another baby — right now. Babe had reservations, which JR tried to shoot down. Babe accused JR of trying to test her loyalty. To prove his faith, JR showed her Janet's latest text message. Babe scolded JR for letting Janet get to him. "I want to trust you," he sighed. She advised him to do it and fast. JR told his wife that she was right and deleted Janet's texts. Babe accepted his apology — and his challenge to test him. She tested him by sending him a text message that read, 'R U 4 real?' "Completely," he vowed, swooping his wife into a kiss. Babe told JR that she still thought it was too soon for another baby — but she did entice him to get passionate on the conference table.

While a tearful Kendall showed up at Jack's and begged him for help Ryan offered to work with Zach to keep Kendall away from Greg. Zach told Ryan to tell him what he has on Madden.

After Josh left Greg's hospital room, he had flashbacks to various encounters with Erica and realized that Erica has figured out that Josh is her son. "She knows," he sighed. Just then, Erica entered with a bouquet of flowers.

At Fusion, Simone was moved when Babe presented her with a photo of Ethan and Simone at the ball and grateful to Babe for being willing to listen to her talk about her fallen fiancé. Kendall barged in and began barking orders. Erin then entered and Kendall reacted badly to the news that Simone had hired her. She told Erin to shoo. Babe and Simone insisted that Erin was qualified. "Welcome her to the company and get over it," Simone commanded. Erin asked to speak to Kendall alone and denied to Kendall that she wanted to work at Fusion in order to spy on her for Ryan. Finally, with more prodding from Simone — and after another hysterical outburst — Kendall agreed to let Erin join the staff.

In the Chandler boardroom, JR addressed the board of Chandler Enterprises, pitching on-site day care and tuition reimbursement. Adam accused JR of being so besotted with Babe that he was going to bankrupt the company. Krystal stood up and lent her support to JR, so Adam voiced his approval of JR's motion, as well. The motion went through. While Krystal and Adam celebrated, JR received another text message from Janet: "Did Babe take your baby yet?" Adam and Krystal entreated JR to trust his wife, with Adam saying that his love for Babe was the best investment JR had ever made. Adam then advised his son to have another child. Krystal was reluctant to negotiate with Adam on the topic of whether they, too, should expand their family. After they left, Babe arrived and was happy to hear from JR that the day care plan had been approved. Her happiness faded when JR asked if she wanted to have another baby.

In her living room, Erica watched a TV news report about Greg's collapse on NEW BEGINNINGS. Jack's attempts to grill Erica about why she had Greg as a guest on the show was stymied when Reggie burst in and reported that something was wrong with Lily. They brought the girl into the living room, but she refused to speak.

At Aidan's, Jonathan lamented his inability to protect Lily. Aidan blocked Jon from going after her and advised Jon to give Lily some space. Jon and Aidan had a heart-to-heart about Jon's love for Lily. Aidan advocated Jon dating women other than Lily, but the very idea made Jon miserable. Aidan stressed how challenging it would be to be in a relationship with someone with Lily's condition, but Jon was undeterred.

Anita explained to Ryan that Greg's cardiac episode, while unusual, did not necessarily indicate foul play. Ryan then tried to visit Greg, but Josh refused to let him. Ryan headed over to Erica's, where he reported on Madden's condition and warned Erica not to make any subsequent attempts on Greg's life. Jack spotted Ryan and ripped into him for what Jon had done to Lily. Ryan observed Lily in her near-catatonic state and promised Jack that he would force Jon to keep his distance from Lily. After Ryan left, Erica cautioned Jack that he was risking his relationship with Lily by being so bull-headed about Jon. Erica suggested that they permit Jon and Lily to have public meetings, if not supervised visits in their home. Jack's eyes bulged. He then turned the tables on his wife, demanding to know what she was keeping from him on the subject of Greg Madden.

Josh went to see Greg and told him that the toxicology reports proved that he had been drugged. "I know who did it," Josh declared. "Erica Kane."

Ryan showed up at Fusion and congratulated Erin on her new job. When Babe and Simone grabbed Erin to give her an office tour, Ryan told Kendall it was time for them to chat about Greg. He handed Kendall some papers. "You son of a bitch," she seethed when she read them.

Aidan and Erin's date was interrupted by a panicked Jonathan, who explained that Lily had gone missing after Jack busted in on their tree house date. Erin tried to dissuade Jon from going after Lily. Just then, Lily ran down the stairs and announced that she was on the lam. Aidan and Erin tried to talk Lily into returning home. She refused, so Aidan picked up the phone to call Jack. This did not sit well with Lily, who accused Aidan of hating her and hating her boyfriend. Erin gently told Jon that it was time for him to walk away from Lily. Jon and Lily reluctantly said their good-byes.

At the Chandler manse, Adam took Krystal's queasiness as a sign that she's pregnant. "I feel reborn!" he exulted. "You're pregnant, aren't you?" Krystal made it clear that she was not and didn't intend to be. Adam did his best to convince Krystal that reproducing was a great idea; she disagreed.

At the beach, JR confessed to Babe that he'd been to see Janet and that she'd accused Babe of only marrying him to get custody of Little Adam. Babe told JR that she had indeed said those words to Janet, but only as a way of trying to secure her safety and the safety of their son. Babe begged JR to believe in her, in them. JR thought about it for a moment, then assured Babe, "No one can touch us."

At the hospital, Amanda reported to Josh and Jamie that Greg had offered her a job. After Josh stalked off, Amanda and Jamie discussed her new gig; he was suspicious about Greg's motives.... Julia blocked Amanda from visiting Greg, then exchanged more harsh words with Josh.... Jamie blasted Josh for the chip on his shoulder.... Jamie and Julia bonded and he seemed a little smitten.

From his hospital bed, Greg ordered Zach to show himself out. Kendall watched from the hall as Zach interrogated Greg about the whereabouts of Dixie's baby. Greg tried to get under Zach's skin but Zach refused to be distracted from his mission. Slater demanded to know what Greg had planned for Kendall and insinuated that if Madden hurts her, he's as good as dead. Zach then emerged into the hallway, where Kendall was waiting. She tore into Zach for harassing her doctor. Zach insisted that Greg was dangerous; she demanded proof, but he couldn't proffer it without betraying Dixie, so he was forced to remain mum. Zach then deduced that Kendall had already signed away her parental rights; she would neither confirm nor deny, reminding Zach that he no longer has a say in her life.

Josh received the toxicology report on his father. "Erica really did it!" he seethed after consulting the results.

Jack was on the verge of blowing a gasket when he caught Lily and Jonathan together. Lily told Jack that she was at the tree house with Jonathan of her own volition. She added that if he was going to be mad at someone, he should be mad at her. Jack reeled from Lily's revelation that she'd been seeing Jon behind his back. Jack asked if Ryan had been helping Jon "corrupt" Lily; Jon said no. Jack declared that it was over between Jon and Lily. She said that once she was 18, she could do whatever she wanted and he couldn't stop her. Jack told her that her birthday didn't make a difference and that he was only trying to spare her pain. Lily replied that if Jack truly loved her, he wouldn't try to ruin the one thing that brought her happiness. She cried that she didn't want him as a father anymore, then ran off.

Chaos erupted on the set of NEW BEGINNINGS after Greg collapsed. Josh frantically performed CPR on his father while Ryan called 911. Kendall arrived and demanded to know what Erica had done to the doc. Erica denied any responsibility. Josh then blasted La Kane for having his father on her show before he was mended from his last cardiac episode. Ryan then cornered Erica in her office and demanded to know where she was keeping the medicine she'd use to stop Greg's heart. "You tried to kill him," he accused her, waving aside her best efforts at denial. Ryan pushed past Erica and found the pills in her handbag. Erica spat that if Greg died, it wouldn't be murder, it would be justice. Reluctantly and with great emotion, she revealed to Ryan how Greg had violated her. Ryan's jaw dropped at the news that Josh is Erica's son, but he made it plain that he intended to stop Erica from killing the doc. Erica swore Ryan to secrecy about Josh's true identity.

Dixie, who had watched Greg double over on TV, yelled at the screen. From her reaction, Zach deduced that Dixie's daughter had survived the accident and that Greg knew where she was. She confirmed his theory. He asked why Greg wouldn't reveal Kate's whereabouts to her. Dix elaborated (primarily off-screen) about what had transpired between her and Greg. Zach promised Dixie that Tad and JR would never know from him about her being alive but insisted that Greg be stopped. "Leave Madden to me," he said before taking off.

At the hospital, David praised Josh for resuscitating Greg, then took over his case. In the waiting room, Kendall tried to comfort Josh, who grew weepy at the thought that Greg might not know that Josh loves him. David then gave Josh permission to visit with Greg. After they chatted, Josh ordered a batch of blood tests for his dad and insisted to the tech that the results be shared only with him. Kendall then noticed from the hallway that Greg had a new visitor: Zach. "Tell me where Dixie Martin's child is," Slater intoned to Doc Madden.

JR received a text from Janet asking if Babe had pulled the wool out from under him yet but covered when Babe asked him what was up.... At the beach, pensive Di told Tad that she couldn't accept his engagement ring but he talked her into accepting it. JR, Babe and Little Adam then arrived. Tad suggested that he and Di get married on the beach. Babe took Di aside to talk about weddings. JR told Tad that he believed Dixie would give her blessing to a Tad/Di union. Tad and Di then volunteered to bring Little A. home so that JR and Babe could have some quality time together. Dix observed the family gathering from behind a tree.
