Aidan sadly informed Ryan and Erin he wasn't able to locate Kendall. "If we don't find her before she gives birth, I will never see my son," lamented Ryan. Elsewhere, Jonathan's birthday present to Lily was two bus tickets to Boston so, if she wanted, they could leave Pine Valley when she turned 18. Lily had to hide when Aidan, Ryan and Erin arrived. They overhead him talking to a girl and Ryan was afraid Lily was there. Amanda came up just in time and pretended she was there for the picnic. She planted a big kiss right on Jon's lips — which Lily spied as she hid. The gang bought it (some PI Aidan is) and left the two for their “date.” Lily came out of hiding and wasn't amused and also confused. She couldn't kiss Jonathan like Amanda did so she told Jon to take her to Boston instead. Amanda left and Jonathan pledged his heartfelt love to Lily. She agreed to go to Boston with him on her birthday.

Alone with Erica, Greg insisted he didn't know where Kendall was, but Erica didn't believe him. In fact, she threatened to tell the world about Josh if he didn't come forth with the info. Greg had a threat of is own: he'd tell everyone she tried to murder him. Plus, if Erica told the media how Greg “saved” Josh, they’d all be pleased and want to meet him. Erica claimed that if Josh ever found out, he’d hate Greg, too. Much verbal abuse later, Greg told Erica: "My only regret is that Josh isn't ours biologically.” Erica's regret? That Greg wasn't already burning in hell. “It’s not too late for us,” Greg smiled. Meanwhile, out in the hall, Josh impressed Joe with his ability to comfort a patient’s family. At the end of the episode, Ryan arrived at the hospital, desperate to find Greg.

While on the plane back to Pine Valley, JR and Babe got all dolled up and shared a romantic dance while promising to always love one another. Back at the Chandler mansion, Krystal asked if Tad's daughter might have survived, too. "If Kate were alive, Dixie would have said something," Tad shrugged. When Krystal continued to try to comfort Tad, he brought the focus back to JR and claimed he didn't care at all about Dixie anymore...or Di. When Winifred told them Adam left the mansion, Tad ran out. Over at Zach's casino, Adam was with Dixie. With his gun pointed at her, Dixie wondered if Adam planned to murder her. "I can't murder a woman who is already dead," pointed out Adam. He wasn't about to let JR go through any more pain to ease Dixie's guilt. Adam demanded Dixie write a note to Tad letting him know she was leaving, never coming back and wanted him to keep his mouth shut to JR. When Dixie said she wouldn't, that for JR's sake he needed to find out from her rather than someone else, Adam informed her she'd be walking out of Pine Valley — or she'd be carried out. One commercial break later, Tad burst into the room and saw only Adam. When he asked where Dixie was, Adam replied she left Pine Valley for good. Tad didn't believe Dixie would just leave, but Adam presented him with a note. Due to the fact it wasn't Dixie's handwriting, Tad immediately thought Adam wrote the letter. He grabbed Adam by the collar and demanded to know where Dixie was. Then Adam pulled his gun out and told Tad he was going to forget Dixie was ever back from the dead. After seeing the gun, Tad wondered what Adam could have done to Dixie. Meanwhile, the camera panned to JR and Babe, now off of the plane and searching through crates for their packages. Little did they know, Dixie was in one of the crates — unconscious.

When Tad arrived at the Chandler mansion, Adam immediately embraced him and offered his sympathies. "Don't ever hug me again," Tad ordered and pulled away. Adam told Tad that JR hadn't seen Dixie yet, and explained he wanted to keep it that way. He proposed that they "get rid of Dixie," so JR would never have to know his mom was alive. Tad wasn't so sure, but Adam insisted they would lose JR once he found out how imperfect his mother truly was. Their discussion was interrupted by Di. She wanted to help, but all Adam did was blast her and then Dixie. "For once, I'm better for my son that she is," claimed Adam. For once, Tad agreed with him. When Adam asked Di where Dixie was staying, Tad figured out it was at Zach’s casino. Adam demanded that Di go talk to Dixie. When Adam realized everyone else thought JR should know the truth, he took matters into his own hands and left. Di then offered to let JR think this was all her fault. “The last thing JR needs is more lies from you, me or his mother,” Tad said. Di nodded and turned to leave, but not before apologizing once more. Once alone with Tad, Krystal comforted her ex and wondered why Dixie stayed away — and what happened to their baby.

Jack was surprised when Livia explained the order she had that Ryan now had all rights to Kendall's unborn baby. "I'm going to stop this guy," Jack announced, but Erica told him he'd do nothing of the sort. She wanted Ryan to have the chance to be with his baby and Kendall to be protected from Dr. Madden. The argument quickly got heated, and that only upset Lily. Amanda arrived just in time to take Lily to lunch. Jack and Erica weren't aware that Amanda took Lily to lunch with Jonathan. The young couple had a lovely picnic lunch and Jon gave Lily an early birthday present.

As Greg prepared to leave the hospital, Ryan and Zach bombarded him and demanded to know where a missing Kendall was. When Ryan explained to the doc he had control over Kendall's unborn baby now, Madden presented a note from Kendall letting him know she didn't want him as her doctor anymore. Josh arrived to release his dad, leaving Zach and Ryan to chat alone. Zach gave Ryan the adoption papers he found that Kendall had signed, meanwhile, Erica was eavesdropping outside of the room. When they deducted that Madden indeed knew where Kendall was, Erica fled without being seen. Ryan and Zach agreed to work together to find Ms. Hart. Meanwhile, Erica did more eavesdropping: this time outside of Madden’s office. She overhead Josh demand the truth about Erica from his father. Josh conveniently got paged and had to leave. Erica took the opportunity to enter Greg’s office with a threat: “You either tell me where my daughter is, or I will tell your son the truth.”

After whisking Babe away for an impromptu dinner in the south of France, JR romanced his wife and attempted to teach her some French. "Can people really be this happy?" Babe wondered. JR promised that they could and nothing would ever come between them. JR sketched his lady love as Babe proposed names for their daughter. No worries, you haven't missed anything. Babe was just thinking about the future. After the duo made love, Babe had a bad dream that JR was gone. Luckily, she awoke to her husband comforting her. Later, Babe and JR planned to head home. Little did they know that back in Pine Valley, Adam had just arrived in Dixie’s suite — and pulled a gun on her.

A stunned Krystal slammed the door in Dixie's face and told Adam, "I see dead people!" Dixie knocked again and Adam answered. "I want to see my son," Dixie declared. "Where have you been?" Adam demanded. An incredulous Krystal theorized that Dixie must have one hell of an excuse for staying away for four years, or "you'd be a stone-cold bitch." Adam asked how much it would take to "get you to stay dead?" Dixie suggested $5 million, then $10 million &mdsah; but no amount is enough. "I want to see my son!" she repeated. Adam went to get JR. Krystal chided Dixie for all the love spilt over her. "It is one hell of a screw-up." Adam returned to say JR and Babe had gone to France for breakfast, so now Dixie can rethink her strategy. Dixie vowed to see her son and grandson. Oh, and Tad knows she's alive. Dixie left on condition that they tell her when JR returns so she can tell him the truth personally. Krystal wondered, "Can there be a happy ending to this?"

Tad confronted Di. "Dixie's alive, and you knew," he spat. Now he understood why she balked at his ring. "You're just another scheming, worthless Henry," he snarled, calling her a con artist and imposter. He said her sin of omission was "every bit as hideous as a lie." Di said Del told her Dixie was dead, but Di was partying in Europe when she ran into Dixie very much alive. Dixie didn't explain anything, but extracted a vow from Di not to tell anyone she was alive. An enraged Tad shook her by the arms and took her face in his hands. 'You looked me in the eye and said, 'I love you,'" he moaned. Di claimed she took the vow of secrecy before she met Tad, and when she begged for permission to tell, Dixie refused. Tad was even more furious that Di had seen Dixie at Christmas. Di claimed she told Dixie how broken JR was — but conveniently failed to mention she was masquerading as Dixie. "I was wrong," she cried. "I didn't know that I would fall love with you." Tad asked, "Where do we go from here?" Di was in tears. "I lied, and I am so sorry. I still love you. Please, please, please forgive me." Tad's head spun as he realized Dixie herself had told Di the little details she needed to fake being Dixie. Di told Tad that Dixie had a chance to reveal herself to him but didn't, because Dixie knew Di wanted Tad. "Our love can get us through this," she suggested. "No," Tad countered. "Anything we feel...is based on a lie." And he walked out.

Ryan begged Livia to get a judge to grant him "emergency custody" of Kendall's unborn child. Erica appeared and told Livia to do anything — bribery, blackmail — to stop Greg from getting his hands on Kendall's baby. Livia vowed to make it happen. A worried Erica told Ryan Greg knows she tried to kill him, and she regretted not giving him a bigger dose of poison. Ryan extracted a vow from her not to go after Greg again.

Kendall tried to calm a hyperventilating Lily, only to see Zach. Lily fled. Kendall accused him of playing head games in league with Erica to get her baby. He wanted her help figuring out what Erica knows about Greg, but she insisted she wasn't interested. Lily returned and told the duo that Greg "stole a baby" from Erica. (She overheard Erica and Tad discussing it.) Kendall assumed Lily misunderstood the termination procedure, but Zach was sure "there's something extremely wrong here." Kendall was sure that Zach's "proof" that Greg had stolen some woman's baby was fraudulent. Erica suddenly appeared, and Kendall fled. Erica demanded to know what Zach did to Kendall, and he demanded to know her secret. The pair traded insults over who was more ruthless and self-centered. Later, Kendall appeared at Greg's bedside, and he vowed to help her. Meanwhile, Erica vowed to protect Kendall and take care of "all my children."

Livia returned to Ryan's office and told him she found a judge willing to issue the custody order. Meanwhile, Kendall belly-ached to Greg, who clasped her hand. "I have a solution," he smiled.

Amanda was wondering around in the woods and Jonathan assumed she was Lily. He jumped out of his tree house and scared her to death. While she was with Jon, Amanda took the chance for apologizing on behalf of her and her mother. She could help, he claimed, by going on a date with him. Imagine Amanda's surprise when she learned she wasn't going to a movie or dinner with Jon, but rather up in his tree house. On their "date," Jonathan quickly realized Amanda couldn't be Lily. Later, Amanda saw how much Jonathan loved Lily and offered to help them get back together.

Speaking of Lily, she finally opened up to someone: Zach. "Make me disappear," she begged, citing that he helped Ryan. "I don't like my life anymore," she said, wanting to start somewhere new. Zach tried to explain how many people Ryan hurt when he left. Lily made a list of all the people she would hurt if she left, but explained to Zach that if she stayed, she'd hurt herself and Jonathan. When she realized Zach wasn’t going to help her, she ran from the room. She’d have to make herself disappear.

Dixie begged Tad not to shut her out. His response? "Damn you. You go to hell." He yanked the jacket off of her that he so kindly gave to her yesterday and started to walk out. She made him stop, claiming he didn't understand. He didn't want to hear any of her explanations. Nothing she could say could make it right after four years. When he assumed she was with David, she insisted he had it all wrong and explained David caught her at JR's wedding. Oops, wrong thing to say, Dix! Tad was outraged Dixie could watch her son from afar and not reach out to him. Then Dixie made a realization: "You're going to tell JR, aren't you?" He was appalled that she could walk away from her own son. "You make me regret the day that I ever took JR from Adam Chandler and put him back in your arms." Dixie tearfully insisted that she loved JR. Tad turned to leave, but not without one final statement: "As far as I'm concerned, you are dead. At least you are to me." Alone and broken, Dixie collapsed in tears.

David continued to insist that Dixie was alive as Babe walked in. She demanded her father stop spreading lies, but he stuck by his story. "She was even at your wedding," David announced. Again, Babe demanded her father stop and JR and Jamie joined in, insisting David shut up with his lies. "Tad knows," trumped David. "In fact, he's with Dixie right now." After he said this, Babe pulled her father outside of the room and berated him in private. Still, David insisted it was the truth, so Babe assumed he had gone mad. After Jamie and JR came up with a plan to handle Hayward, they invited him back in the room. While David lamented that Dixie burned him, too, JR and Jamie picked him up and dangled him out a window. (Well, that's one way to handle the dastardly doctor.) Babe and Di managed to convince them to pull him up. Once David was on his own two feet, he yelled, "You wait, you wait until Dixie shows up!" JR, Jamie and Babe all left, leaving David alone with Di. She quickly realized he was telling the truth: Tad was with Dixie. Later, after David had left, Tad walked in on Di. "You knew," was all he had to say.

Back at the Chandler mansion, Babe chastised JR after he went off on Winifred. She could see him pulling away from her and pled with him not to shut her out. He agreed and thanked her for loving him. Meanwhile, Jamie took his frustration out in his own way: he beat up some guy in a bar. After Dixie pulled herself together, she left the woods and headed to Chandler Mansion. At the end of the episode, she knocked on the door.

Tad and Dixie stared at each other in stunned, teary-eyed silence before David jumped between them and tried to throw Tad out. But Tad was deep into a series of flashbacks: meeting Dixie, kissing her, loving her. Meanwhile, Dixie also relived the past, including marrying him and being reunited with baby JR. "Dixie?" Tad breathed. "Yes," she stated. Tad stepped tentatively forward and touched her cheek. "It's real," Tad mumbled, but David tried to talk him out of it. "No, it's all in your head, Martin," he said, telling Tad he'd walked through experimental vapors that made him hallucinate. Dixie just stared, her eyes full of tears. Tad took her hand and led her out. David tried to intervene, saying, "She's mine!" and Tad punched him out. In the woods, Tad was at a loss for words. He recounted how he spent "four years" musing, wishing, hoping and questioning every day. He babbled about spotting a look-alike woman in the newspaper who had taken second place in an Ohio chili cook-off (but her eyes were wrong). He didn't question that woman because he knew that if his wife had changed her name, that would mean she didn't want to be found. He recounted other incidents of wishful mistaken identity, but he knew none of them was her. "What the hell did you want from me?" he demanded. "David must have spent a fortune on plastic surgery," he said, looking her over. "At least, I hope he did." Tad mulled whether she was a distant relative, or someone random David turned into a clone. "Do you want me to be a fake?" Dixie asked. "Will that make all the questions go away?" What does he want her to say? "All I want, all I need, is the truth," he insisted. "Are you Dixie? I can't believe you are, but I can't believe you aren't." He warned her he cannot trust things like DNA or memories David may have provided. She responded that she knows stuff that happened to just the two of them. Stuff like, "Ozzie and Harriet." Tad suddenly recalled how he invoked that couple as an example of a great romance. "Oh, my God," he sighed. "It's really you. You are Dixie." He questioned her presence at the Mardi Gras ball after the explosion, and suggested the reason she didn't call out was, "You didn't want us."

Jamie and JR confronted Di and wondered how she would react to "spite and malice" — a card game. She beat them. As they noshed on soft drinks and snacks, they challenged Di to prove herself worthy of marrying Tad: Make us say "Wow."

Kendall demanded Greg speak his piece. Eyeing Erica knowingly, Greg asked if it's the right time to share "the intimate details of our past with our children?" Erica told Josh, "I was young and vulnerable, and I trusted your father." Misunderstanding the coded banter, Kendall recounted to Josh how Erica sought a "procedure" at a clinic where Greg worked, and now Erica is "creeped out" that Greg is treating Kendall. Greg and Erica continued to banter in code, and Josh defended Greg and called Erica narcissistic. Erica suggested that Josh talk to Tad. As she pressed the issue, Greg suddenly suffered a heart incident and Josh cleared the room. Outside, Erica covered for the whole thing by saying Greg had indulged in a sick fantasy about himself and Erica being cosmically meant for each other. Then she asked Kendall for the 784,521st time to find another doctor, but Kendall declined, insisting she knows what's best for herself and her baby.

Babe visited Janet, who wasn't happy with Babe, but still wanted to make nice. She asked Babe when she plans to get rid of JR. Babe insisted her plans have changed. They talked about how Dixie hurt JR by dying without saying goodbye, and now Babe wants to make JR happy. "Since when has love ever made anyone happy?" Janet asked.

Tad gave Dixie his coat, and she pulled out his keys, recognizing the key fob JR made at summer camp. She hugged him and said, "I'm so sorry, Tad. I'm so, so sorry." Erica returned to Greg's room and warned him not to test her. "You are no match for me." Meanwhile, Di completed a house of cards, which made Jamie say wow. David strolled in, bearing news both good and bad: "Dixie is alive," he said. Di was shocked, JR's reaction was...inscrutable.
