At the Chandler manse, Babe pressed Dixie to tell JR the truth about why she abandoned him. JR lashed out at Babe for summoning Dix; his family tried to stop him from ruining his marriage before their eyes, but JR wasn't in a place to be reasoned with and continued to accuse Babe of trying to get custody of Little Adam. Dixie insisted to JR that both his mother and his wife love him. JR stormed outside, followed by Dixie, who explained that she'd had to leave in order to safely deliver Kate. JR concluded that Dixie loved her daughter more than him. Dix denied it but still wouldn't pony up direct explanations as to what kept her away for so long. JR turned on his heel and bolted. Inside the house, Babe asked Jamie, Tad, Brooke, Krystal and Adam for suggestions as to how to turn JR's life around. No one had a clue. Babe decided to go to Fusion to deal with a shipping crisis. After she left, Krystal blasted Adam for making a bad situation worse by yelling at Babe. Jamie lamented that perhaps Dixie just didn't love any of them anymore. Brooke and Krystal listened as Tad expressed his belief that he needed to get to the bottom of Dixie's motivations. "What if the truth just makes everything worse?" wondered Brooke.

The newlyweds, Zach and Kendall, returned to Pine Valley. Before they pulled into port, Kendall told Zach that she needed to visit Ryan and Erica and tell them the news about their marriage and her decision to keep the baby. But first, she said, she needed to handle something at Fusion.

Aidan called around for a progress report on the missing Lily. Jonathan showed up, desperate to hire Aidan to find Lily. He showed Aidan the note Lily had slipped him. Aidan reported to Jon that Lily was in New York, which terrified him on Lily's behalf. Jack barged in and he and Jon bickered over who was responsible for Lily's disappearance. In New York, Lily received panhandling lessons from a street dweller. She got some change together and called Jonathan's cell phone, but Jack grabbed the phone out of Jon's hands. "Lily, is that you?" he asked. She hung up, then was sent into a serious tizzy by all the red in her environment. "My plan is not working!" she shrieked. Jack confiscated Jon's phone; Jon warned Jack that he'd find a way to track down Lily on her own.

Babe showed up at Fusion and, spotting Kendall, started to tell her partner that she wasn't in the mood for a shouting match. Kendall shocked her by pulling her into a hug. She gushed to Babe that she's fallen in love with her child. "I'm a mom!" she beamed. Kendall decided that Fusion really did need on-site daycare and that the area of the office currently under construction would be the perfect spot for it. JR, meanwhile, showed up at said spot and took a swig of alcohol and, as he surveyed the area, had flashbacks of his life with Babe. JR then called Babe and apologized for being such a jerk earlier. He got her to agree to meet him for a private conversation at the Fusion construction area. Kendall heard Babe on the phone and asked if there was a problem. Babe sighed that JR was drinking again now that Dixie was back. Kendall gasped at the news that JR had seen Dixie and offered to talk to him herself. Unfortunately, JR had rigged the construction site to injure Babe, and Kendall fell victim to his plot.

Zach stopped by Dixie's hotel suite and was sorry to hear that her reunion with JR had been such a disaster. Dixie was surprised but happy when Zach reported that Kendall had married him. Dix was certain that if she told JR why she'd really stayed away, it would only make matters worse. She remained determined to bring Kate home to her family, which she believed was the only thing she could do to make things right. Zach told Dixie he wanted to help her find Kate. Dix said she'd handle it and wouldn't let Zach in on her plan.

Kendall was overcome with bliss when she awoke to see Zach standing over her. But why he was out of bed and dressed? Seems Zach had a plan up his sleeve. "Will you marry me again?" he wondered with a smile, pledging himself to her and her child. She was happy to, and even more excited when she learned the Captain could marry them right then and there. When Zach left her alone to get dressed, Kendall sweetly asked her unborn baby boy to walk her down the aisle. Later, both dressed in white, Kendall and Zach met on the deck to exchange their touching and personal vows. As soon as they were pronounced husband and wife, the new Mr. and Mrs. Zach Slater sealed their union with a kiss. A happy Kendall marveled in the fact that she now had her husband and her son as they all headed home.

Babe didn't wake up quite as happily as Kendall: she found JR passed out at the foot of their bed holding a bottle of booze. As Krystal and Babe conspired outside the room on how to help him, JR came to and he overhead his wife say, "Little Adam does not deserve this mess, so I had better clean it up and put an end to this garbage once and for all." Meanwhile, downstairs, Brooke arrived at the Chandler mansion and had harsh words for Adam. Krystal walked in as Brooke was lecturing Adam on how to be a parent and informed the two about JR being passed out.

Wanting information on Dr. Madden, Ryan visited Dixie. When she remained mum (as usual), Ryan explained how Greg convinced Kendall to give their son up for adoption. He realized that Zach knew Dixie’s secret and begged her to tell him. She couldn't. "When Tad finds out, he's going to hate me," Dixie pleaded. "He can't know." Ryan promised Tad wouldn't know, but Dixie had to give him something. Cue the phone ring to pull Dixie away from the pressing conversation. Babe dialed Dixie up to tell her JR needed her right then. "I have to go," Dixie told Ryan, who advised her to give her son what he needed: the truth.

Later, when JR walked downstairs, he was greeted to an intervention of sorts with Tad, Jamie, Brooke, Babe, Krystal and Adam. They were tremendously worried about him. "You couldn't handle drugs in high school; you can't handle alcohol now," Jamie warned. "Some people can drink and some can't. You're a can't." They (especially Tad) reminded him that Dixie hurt them all, but they could get through it together without alcohol. “I’ll be damned if I’m going to let Dixie, or booze, or anything else take you away from me,” Tad said. They all needed him. As a tear fell down Babe’s cheek, JR walked out on the group. When he opened to door to head out, Dixie was standing there. He found out Babe invited her and was furious, but Babe claimed he needed to know why his mother stayed away, and Babe hoped for all their sake’s that Dixie was ready to tell.

Kendall admitted to Zach that she wants her son more than her own life and she wants him, too. "I don't want to stop wanting you anymore," she sighed. She told Zach she didn't like who she'd become, someone who was afraid to live, to trust, to make choices. Kendall said that despite her fears, she couldn't miss out on the chance to have Zach and her baby in her life. Zach, needless to say, was delighted. "I never stopped wanting you, never," sighed Kendall. She placed his hand on her protruding belly and told Zach she wanted to show him how much she loved him. At long last, "Zendall" consummated their relationship.

Ryan paid a visit to Dr. Madden in his suite and tried to threaten him into leaving town. Dixie refrained from knocking on Greg's door when she heard voices inside. Ryan, meanwhile, warned Greg that his paternal rights to the baby nullified the adoption agreement he'd manipulated into signing. Greg threw him out. Clutching the vial of truth serum she'd gotten from David, Dixie entered Greg's suite. Unbeknownst to her, Ryan spotted her going inside. Dix doctored Greg's drink, unaware that he'd spotted her doing so. Dix then fibbed that she'd come to see that perhaps Kate was better off with the family Greg had given her to. Greg downed his drink, then revealed to Dixie that he knew she'd tainted it. "I'm calling the police," he seethed. Ryan then barged in and demanded to know what the hell was going on. Greg said that Dix had put drugs in his drink, so Ryan gulped down the liquid to help Dixie cover her tracks. Dixie dragged Ryan away with her before things got too ugly, but Greg had clearly been affected by Ryan asking him if he started playing God with other women and their babies because he'd failed to get his own wife pregnant. Ryan and Dixie settled at the park, where Ryan remarked that he and Kendall would have made a perfect couple...if only they'd been two other people. Dixie smiled and said that the same thing applied to her and Tad.

At the Chandler manse, Babe reported to Krystal that she was aiming to get pregnant. Krystal discouraged the idea, convinced that JR was headed for a major fall. Babe refused to budge from her plan.

A panicked Jack barged into the Lavery penthouse looking for Lily and accused Jonathan of knowing where she was. Jon flipped out on Jack for "losing" Lily. Erin tried to play referee. On the train, meanwhile, Lily discovered that her belongings were missing. She asked another passenger for help; he cruelly dismissed her. Erin promised Jack that she would let him know immediately if they heard from Lily. Lily disembarked at New York's Penn Station. Jon sat by the phone waiting for Lily to call. Lily freaked out all alone on the bustling streets of Manhattan.

A stressed-out JR met up with Tad at the park; Tad asked JR for help and brought him back to Chez Martin. There, Tad made it clear to JR that he was pretty much falling apart over Dixie's return. Tad speculated that he might be the reason Dixie walked out on JR. JR twisted the knife by reporting to Tad that he'd caught Dixie locking lips with David. JR excused himself when Jack entered seeking Tad's help finding Lily. JR returned home and ripped off Babe's clothes. Later, he stared at her with a menacing look on his face while she slept.

Unaware that JR was watching from the window, Dixie pulled away from David's kiss. Outside, JR took a drink and it looked as though he was about to walk in, but instead, he left unnoticed. After assuring Dixie she could have the truth serum, no strings attached, David mentioned that she could now use it on Dr. Madden — and find out about Kate. "It doesn't take a sixth sense to figure it out," he shrugged. She told him to mind his own business before leaving. Once back at her hotel, Dixie walked in to find Opal and Palmer. They blasted her and before walking out the door, Palmer noted that for the first time in his life, he was glad Dixie’s mother wasn’t there so she wouldn’t have to see this. Once alone, Dixie pulled out a baby hat and flashed back to a time after the accident. An extremely injured Dixie was touching her newborn baby. The flashback ended and Dixie walked over to her truth serum. Meanwhile, David placed a call and inquired about Dr. Madden.

When Jamie refused to talk to Babe, she pushed him into the hospital elevator and trapped them. He couldn't help but remember all of her past scams concerning JR, but she pointed out that if she truly wanted to hurt JR, she'd feed him more drinks, not try to get him to stop. It didn't look like she was getting through to him, so Babe turned away from Jamie and opened the elevator door. Jamie reached out for her hand and just then the door opened — and JR was standing in front of them. Babe explained what he observed and he assured her it was fine. Then Jamie and JR left to eat nachos in the park. The brothers shared a few laughs and then Jamie wondered if they’d ever find out Dixie’s story. JR wasn’t sure if he wanted to know, but he wasn’t thrilled with how everyone was freaking out. Jamie told JR that Babe was only worried about him, but JR assured his brother he was okay. Later, a drunk JR, thought he saw Jamie and Babe together with Little A, but actually, it was just a random couple. Over at the Chandler mansion, Babe gave Adam a little parenting advice, and, complete with a hug, Adam admitted he was glad JR had her right now.

While on a train from Philadelphia to New York City, Jack unsuccessfully tried to get Lily to talk to him. Later, she asked to go to the bathroom. Meanwhile, back in Pine Valley, Jonathan revealed Lily’s note to Amanda and asked for her help. When Lily didn’t come out of the bathroom, Jack got worried. A fellow passenger said she saw a young blonde get off the train, and as Jackson rushed away, the camera panned to Lily hiding in a coat closet.

Zach literally jumped over the sofa to see if Kendall was all right after she took a nasty spill. He lifted her into his arms and carried her to the bed. As Zach sat down beside her, Kendall wondered what it would be like to raise her son. When Zach claimed she didn't want to give up her baby, Kendall became defensive and said he was just trying to control her life. "Don't tell me what I want and don't want," she ordered. Kendall soon freaked out when she realized the baby hadn't moved since her fall. Zach immediately went to have the captain radio for help. Once Zach was back at her side, he took Kendall’s hand and she started talking about how smart her little boy was. In the midst of her stories, “Spike” kicked her. Her face lit up, “Zach, he’s okay!” She looked into his eyes and then told Mr. Slater he was right. She wanted her son — and she wanted him.

At the Fusion construction site, Babe discovered that JR had been drinking. He pointed out that if she let him drink, it'd be easier for her to steal their son. She quickly realized that he had seen Janet. "You're believing the words of a crazy woman over that of your wife!" Babe exclaimed. She vowed to never leave him like his mother did. Then Babe mentioned she saw Dixie earlier and saw pain in her eyes. "Maybe there is more to Dixie's story than she's letting on." JR claimed he could care less, but Babe didn’t believe him. She was 100 percent committed to him and their marriage and wanted to help him. JR walked out on her and an upset Babe went straight to the hospital. She wanted Jamie to help her convince JR she "was for real." He needed her to convince him first.

In Greg's office, Dixie revealed that she told her family she was alive, then demanded Dr. Madden tell her where Kate was. "Did you tell them everything?" Greg wondered, and when Dixie didn't answer he smiled, "Smart woman. Some things are best left private." He said she needed to get over Kate; the child was happy now. Dixie threatened the not-so-good doctor, and then David conveniently walked in. Dixie and Greg were both tight-lipped, but when Dixie walked out of his office, David followed her and offered to help. They drove to his cabin where David presented Dixie with the truth serum. What was in it for him? Dixie wondered. All David wanted was her forgiveness. She turned to walk out, not about to forgive him for what he did to JR, but he stopped her. She could have the drug, no strings attached. After she took it, David kissed her — and JR, who was lurking around outside of the cabin, watched them through the window.

A distraught Jonathan found Ryan and Erica at the hospital. He had learned that Lily was being sent back to school and wanted Erica's help. Jonathan was worried about Lily; she was probably having a meltdown about this. (Over with Jack and Reggie, she was doing just that.) Erica agreed to talk to Jack again. Also at the hospital, Jamie and Julia got stuck in an elevator together and ended up having a mini-therapy session about how Jamie had been hurt by so many women in his past. Later, over at Jack and Erica's home, Ryan, Erica and Jack discussed Lily. Jonathan arrived and demanded to see Lily. Lily eventually came downstairs (much calmer now) and said her good-byes to her family. She even shook Jonathan's hand, but at the end of the episode, we discover that she slid him a note.

Zach wanted Kendall back (whether she kept her baby or not), but what did she want? Kendall wanted to talk — about her son. She didn't want Ryan raising the child, and it had nothing to do with how much he hurt Greenlee, but rather how much he had hurt her. While going off on Ryan, she suddenly had an epiphany: "I keep blaming Ryan for this... but I'm the one to blame." She pointed out all of her flaws and said, “My son deserves a normal mom.” She didn’t want to hurt her little boy. The boat then hit a wave and caused Kendall to take a spill. From the floor, she looked up at Zach and clutched her stomach.
