Josh busted into the Pine Valley Police Station and demanded Derek arrest JR for the murder of his father. He filled the good cop in on the details of Kate and JR and Jamie locking him in the meat locker. Derek promised Josh he would look into it, but warned Josh not the play vigilante and leave finding the killer to the PVPD. (Yeah, because they've been soooo successful at solving crimes in the past.) Meanwhile, in the park, Babe couldn't help but wonder if JR did kill Madden. "Ever since Greg Madden went missing, you and Jamie have been keeping a secret," she pointed out. JR revealed he and his brother came up with a plan to make Madden talk about Kate — but he didn't bury Madden. He didn't feel comfortable giving his wife details on the plan he did have, though. Babe was clearly unsettled. Later, Derek arrived to question JR.
At the Chandler mansion, Colby told her precious daddy and wicked stepmother that Josh was accusing JR of killing Madden. Krystal immediately tried calling Babe, but Adam didn't want to hear anymore about it. Tough, because Colby went on, claiming a killer as a brother would be, um, murder to her social life. Krystal believed it was truly possible that JR did commit the crime and worried about her daughter's safety. Adam insisted that JR wouldn't harm Babe. (Hmmm, seems Mr. Chandler has forgotten that his son TRIED TO KILL HER two months ago.)
At New Beginnings, when Jack asked Erica if she killed Greg, she went off and gave him a highly dramatic and detailed description of how she indeed did it. Now he could be rid of her. Jack told his wife this wasn't a joke and she finally said she didn't kill the madman. "But kudos to whoever pulled it off!" she enthused. When Jack wasn't sure what to believe, Erica knew their marriage was truly on the rocks. Elsewhere in Pine Valley, another married twosome was doing some accusing and denying of their own. Kendall insisted Zach tell her the truth: Did he or did he not bury Madden? Zach explained that he and Dixie went looking for Madden the night he disappeared but didn't find him — therefore he didn't kill Madden. It took awhile, but Kendall finally believed her hubby. When the duo realized they still needed one of Spike's prescriptions, Zach left to go get it. Later, Josh found Kendall and was pleased when she agreed to help him nail JR.

At Kendall's condo, a weeping Dixie collapsed in Zach's arms as Kendall and Ryan looked on. Zach took Dixie outside, where she said cryptically, "We shouldn't have done it, Zach. We shouldn't have done what we did." Zach urged her not to regret a thing and not to give up hope about Kate. Inside the condo, Kendall wondered why Ryan wasn't more worried about her. Ryan shrugged that he believed Kendall when she said that she and Zach were cool. Kendall then revealed to Ryan that she heard him confess that he was still in love with her. He confirmed that she'd heard him correctly — and that it was still true. Ryan explained how he had come to realize that his feelings for her had returned — and made it clear that he had no intention of trying to disrupt her happiness with Zach. When Zach walked back in, Ryan and Kendall were holding hands. Ryan excused himself and thanked Zach for everything he'd done to make Spike's homecoming a success. In the courtyard, Ryan encountered Dixie and volunteered to help her find Kate. She thanked him. Ryan also offered to serve as her confidant and Dixie noted that what he was really saying was that he'd like her to stop relying so heavily on Zach.... Kendall asked Zach if he and Dixie buried Greg alive.
Erica received a visit at her office from Jeff, who informed her of Greg's death. Jeff didn't buy Erica's show of horror over the way Madden bought the farm. Erica pooh-poohed Jeff's concern about how Josh would be affected by Greg's death and was alarmed at the idea that Jeff might choose now to tell their son the truth about his identity. Jeff warned Erica that if they didn't tell him, someone else might. Jack walked in and Erica asked him to stay. Jack sided with Erica about not telling Josh, but Jeff was determined to be there for his son no matter what. After Jeff left, Jack asked Erica if she was responsible for Greg's demise.
Krystal stood by as Adam barked at Liza over the phone, warning her not to think of coming to Pine Valley to reclaim Colby. Colby listened from the hallway with a smug grin on her face as Adam read Liza the riot act. Elsewhere in the mansion, Josh confronted JR and Babe, accusing JR of being responsible for his father's demise. Babe rose to her husband's defense. Colby then bounded in and flung her arms around Josh, calling him her "doctor hero." She began babbling to JR and Babe about how she'd made Josh's acquaintance at the park and they begged her to stop. Josh then left at Babe's behest but not without shooting a final warning JR's way. "You killed that guy?" asked Colby. Babe sent her upstairs, but she lingered to secretly absorb more details about the Greg situation.... Krystal tried to warn Adam that Colby might not be the innocent sweetheart he so easily believes her to be.... Babe speculated to JR that maybe more than one person caused Greg's death. JR then left to tend to a mysterious matter.... When Adam tried to discipline Colby for stealing the car, she deflected the situation by telling Adam that JR had killed someone.... Babe found JR at the park near Greg's grave. She asked him point-blank if he killed Greg.
Josh went to the park and stared at his father's now-empty grave, then told Derek to arrest JR for his father's murder.

At the hospital, a doctor performed an autopsy on Dr. Madden while the camera panned to many of the suspects: Tad, Di and Del in the park, Julia and Jamie making out at the hospital, JR sharing a family moment with Babe and Little A in his living room, Zach waking Kendall with a kiss and Ryan walking in shortly after, and finally Dixie outside of the autopsy room with Josh. Josh blamed Dixie for his father's death. Even if she didn't do it, whoever did, did it for her. "You're the angel of death," he sniped. Dixie became distraught after Josh insisted he had no info on Kate's whereabouts and went straight to David's cabin. She fell apart in his arms as she told him of Madden's death. Dixie claimed she had nothing to do with his death, and David did the same. Still upset, Dixie fled the cabin.
A ballistic Josh walked in on Julia and Jamie fooling around and clued the two in on Madden's death. He only stayed long enough to insinuate Jamie had something to do with it and then left. Jamie was furious and threw the truth serum across the room. He had hoped to get info out of Madden somehow. As Jamie got angrier and angrier, Julia said she was sorry. Later, Julia entered the room Madden's body was in. "May God forgive you. I never will," Julia spat to the corpse.
At the hospital, as Zach, Kendall and Ryan prepared to take little Spike home, Kendall was obviously still nervous about motherhood. The men eased her fears and the trio headed back to Kendall's home, which she was so surprised to find full of baby goodies that Zach had arranged the night before. The dysfunctional family was quite happy until Josh arrived with the news of Madden's death. He was clearly out for vengeance. After he left, the trio discussed Madden's death until they were interrupted by a visitor at the door. It was Dixie. "It's all gone so wrong," Dixie cried as she hugged Zach — and a jealous Kendall looked on.
Del and Di were shocked when Tad told them about Madden's death and wondered what this meant for Kate. "We should pray that she's happy," Tad sighed. "Because wherever she is, without Madden, she's going to stay there." Del went off, claiming Dixie would go crazy. "This was such a dumb idea!" he lamented. Di quickly told him to shut up which piqued Tad's interest. What did Del know about this? Nothing, both Di and Del claimed. Di then offered to help Tad, but the obviously depressed man claimed there was nothing she or anyone else could do to help. "It's over." Soon after, Josh made his way to the park to blame Di, Del and Tad for his father's death. After Josh, Di and Del all left, Jamie arrived to comfort his father and tell him how sorry he was.
JR and Krystal were surprised when Adam and Colby walked into the mansion arguing about Colby "borrowing" some cars the night before. "Hey, JR. I'm baaacckkk!" Colby grinned. A family powwow quickly ensued where Colby moaned and groaned about the life she had on the run with Liza. Colby had a lot to tell and a lot to learn, specifically about her daddy dearest's marriage to Krystal. She was less than pleased. "Dad, you can rent; you don't have to buy." The young blonde clearly had Chandler blood running through her veins and started manipulating her pops. If he helped JR get off for murder, he could at least help erase the charges brought against her. According to her, she was just trying to get home to him and away from Liza. When Krystal questioned her story, Colby claimed she merely ran because Liza was about to medicate her for ADHD. She needed to know her father cared. Adam quickly assured his daughter he loved her and she was welcome at the Chandler mansion. Later, while alone with Babe, JR opened the door to find Josh. "You killed my father!" he yelled.

Tad watched from a hidden spot as Josh and several police officers frantically tried to dig Greg's body out of its shallow grave. Josh was devastated when the reality of his father's death hit him and learned that Greg had been buried alive.
Dixie became hysterical when she believed, mistakenly of course, that Kate had called her. Di managed to bring her sister back to reality. Di promised Dix that she would help her find her daughter. Tad then informed Dixie of Madden's demise and worried that they'd lost their only shot of tracking down Kate.
Jamie attacked David, warning him to stay away from his family. Jamie then stole a vial of truth serum from Hayward's cabin.
Ryan did his best to ease Kendall's anxiety about being a good mom to Spike. Kendall then remembered Ryan declaring his love while she was still comatose.
Adam and Krystal were on the verge of reconciling after a squabble when the police phoned and summoned Adam down to the station. There, the senior Chandler was stunned to see his missing daughter, Colby.

When tremors rocked Pine Valley (who knew it was on a fault line?), Kendall and Ryan rush to the hospital to make sure Spike is okay. There, Zach held Spike for the first time. Ryan continued to insist that there was no way Spike wasn't his biological son. Kendall refused to leave the hospital before her son was released, which was scheduled for the next day, but Zach left to attend to mysteriously urgent business.
Tad flew into a rage because he was unable to acknowledge his true feelings for Dixie. Dixie was also in a desperate state and broke down after an emotional encounter with David. Di felt terrible for Tad when she bore witness to him punishing himself for his treatment of Dixie. Aidan turned to Di for help with Erin.
While Josh was plagued by thoughts of Greg, a blissfully-in-love JR and Babe celebrated his birthday. Meanwhile, JR's sister Colby returned to town and slipped away from the police, who were after her. In the park, she made a horrific discovery: Greg's arm sticking out of the ground.
