Kendall caught a brief snippet of Ryan and Annie's conversation from outside his condo. When Ryan went outside to take out the trash, Kendall invited him to help with Spike's next feeding. Ryan accepted, but remained tight-lipped about who was over at his place.

A jealous JR watched unseen as Babe comforted Josh at ConFusion. Babe was stunned when Josh disclosed that Greg had impregnated Kendall. JR walked up and seemed poised to tell Josh that Erica and Jeff are his biological parents. Babe begged JR to stop. The war of words between the men escalated, but JR did end up keeping his lips zipped. Before exiting, Josh told Babe that he'd be at the ConFusion opening. Babe thanked JR for not telling Josh that he's Erica's son. Unmoved, JR demanded that Babe hand over the CD of Greg's last words. Babe calmed him down but was firm in her resolve not to let anyone else hear the CD.

At Aidan's, Jon and Aidan came down on Terry about his nefarious behavior in New York. Terry tried to squirm out of the confrontation, but Aidan blocked him and summoned Lily over. She freaked out when she saw her attacker.

Erin joined Annie at Ryan's condo and informed Annie that Jon was giving Aidan the 411 on Terry. Erin did her best to cover after blurting out that she believes she doesn't deserve happiness, but at Annie's urging, she opened up about her feelings about Aidan. She got emotional as she described the abuse she suffered as a child; Annie consoled her. Erin voiced her conviction that her work with the rescue network was her way of making amends for the fact that as a kid, she kept her mouth shut about the battering taking place in her home.

Jamie and Julia went to the boathouse after their meeting with Joe at the hospital. Julia told Jamie it was over between them, that as much as she didn't want to end things with him, it was a necessary move. He replied that he would accept that decision even though he didn't want to. Julia then reversed her decision. "You're breaking up our break-up?" he grinned. They shared a kiss.

Babe went to David's cabin and rummaged around. A CD fell out of an unmarked folder on her dad's desk and Babe then found the very transceiver that the police had been searching for in the Chandler manse. When Dave returned home, Babe gasped, "My own father killed Greg Madden and set up my husband to take the fall!" JR, meanwhile, searched Little Adam's room for the CD — and seemingly found it.

Kendall and Ryan bonded at her condo as they awaited the test results. A messenger arrived with the papers and they prepared to find out who Spike's biological father is...

At the hospital, Terry met up with Aidan and reported to Devane that he'd spotted his wife in town. Aidan wanted to know why Terry was in Pine Valley to begin with. Terry claimed that he was there to get his daughter back.

Erica and JR ran into each other at an AA meeting. JR was contrite, but Erica tossed barbed remarks at him. During the meeting, Erica continued to taunt JR, which he called her on after the meeting concluded. JR also made some pointed comments about Erica's own secret-keeping and lack of amend-making.

Josh burst into Joe's office, where Joe, Jeff, Jamie and Julia were gathered. Joe explained that he aimed to address the incident in the ER last night and also the sexual misconduct of Jamie and Julia. Julia and Jamie admitted their wrongdoing, but Julia refused to take the fall for what had happened to Josh's patient. Jeff warned Josh not to be insubordinate when Josh got sassy with Joe. Josh apologized and announced that he planned to take a job in Geneva. Joe gasped, "That's totally unacceptable!" Aidan walked in, apologized for interrupting, and explained that a fugitive had been treated last night in the ER. In the end, the hospital staffers agreed to turn the matter over to the hospital review board, in the interests of impartiality. Still, Joe took Julia and Jamie to task for their lack of on-the-job focus. After everyone left, Jamie came down on Joe for his treatment of Julia.... Josh and Julia bickered in the hallway over what transpired in Joe's office. JR arrived and demanded to know what Josh had done to his brother. Josh ordered JR and Julia to stay the hell away from him.... JR reported to Jamie that he had ammunition against Josh, which was music to Jamie's ears.... Jamie comforted Josh after she was snickered at by some hospital employees.

Jeff approached Erica and told her he owed her an apology. Jeff opened up to Erica about the impact Mary's death had had on him and about how he'd felt when Joe called him with the news that he had a son. He shared with Erica that he had been desperate for a child, but has come to see that it would be selfish to tell Josh the news.

At ConFusion, Babe held off on talking to Kendall when Ryan got to Kendall first. Ryan told Kendall he told the lab to put a rush on Spike's DNA test. After Ryan left, Babe made nice to Kendall, who wasn't buying it. Babe not so subtly tried to suss out whether Kendall, Ryan or Zach was responsible for the recording of Greg's final words. When Kendall trash-talked JR to Babe, Babe turned the tables on her, making it obvious that she thought Zach killed Greg. The women bickered until Kendall decided to head home. Josh came by and suggested to Babe that she leave town with him and her son. "Let's run while we can," he urged. Babe felt bad for Josh and gave him a job, which JR spotted.

Also at ConFusion, Lily spotted Jonathan and Amanda having a private chat. She interrupted, but not before Jon extracted a promise from Amanda to keep a close eye on his wife in his absence. In front of Lily, Jon covered his mental acuity and claimed that he needed to leave for a while to help Erin out with some things. At the penthouse, Annie was freaking out about Terry, and refused to return to the hospital despite Erin's urging. Jamal and Erin refused to let Erin leave town without a plan. Jon showed up and declared that he had ammunition against Terry. Annie grew even more agitated about this stranger who knew her life story; Erin quickly clarified that the stranger is her brother. Ryan walked in and asked what was going on. In front of the group, Jon told the tale of what Terry did to Lily in New York. Annie got upset and ran upstairs. The group brainstormed ways to keep Annie safe. After Jon left, Ryan said he had an idea — which was to move Annie and Emma into his condo. Annie was hesitant to accept; Ryan insisted.

Jon encountered Aidan and Terry and revealed to Aidan that Terry was the "sicko" who had tried to molest Lily.

Derek asked Tad and Dixie to the police station to question them about JR and Jamie. Derek explained that he was being pressed to make an arrest in Madden's murder and the boys were leading the pack of suspects. Dixie changed all of that in an instant, though, and told Derek she could give him someone to arrest. Tad pleaded with Dixie not to "do it" and told Derek that Dixie was protecting someone. Thaddeus proceeded to go into elaborate detail about the culprit and even wrote his name with Dixie's lipstick on the door: REDRUM. Needless to say, Tad and Dixie burst into a fit of giggles and Derek did not. Derek warned the duo not to mess with his investigation, but they, in return, warned the chief to leave their sons alone. Once Derek exited, Dixie told Tad how good he was. He acknowledged that she was with him every beat of the way and the both agreed (with smiles!) that it was nice they still had that.

At Ryan's home, Annie had an asthma attack so Jamal rushed her to the hospital. Lily and Jonathan witnessed everything, so while Lily was outside crunching some numbers, Erin informed her brother about who Annie was. When Erin mentioned Annie's hubby was named Terry, Jonathan freaked. It couldn't be the same Terry, could it? Erin retrieved a photo of Terry and Jon confirmed that Annie's Terry was the same one who tried to molest Lily in New York.

At the hospital, Jamie was shocked when Julia defended Josh. "Is your jackass radar on the fritz?" he wondered. Josh wasn't grateful for Julia's kindness. In fact, he told her he didn't need her in his corner and went off to sulk in private. Julia tried to explain to her boy toy how Josh was a mess in the park earlier and she felt bad, but Jamie didn't want to hear any of it. Josh ended up running into his father (that would be Jeff Martin) and Jeff knowingly assured the troubled boy, "You're not Greg Madden — and you never will be." Later, when Annie arrived at the hospital Julia began to treat her. Josh took over Annie's case and ordered Julia and Jamie out of the room. After giving Annie medication, Josh watched his patient go into cardiac arrest, but thankfully managed to save her. Jeff realized Annie almost died because Josh overdosed his patient. Josh claimed a note in the chart had not been there before he treated his patient. When Jeff asked which nurse had been on the case, Josh pointed the finger at Julia and told Jeff and Joe he knew where to find Nurse Keefer. Meanwhile, she and Jamie were having make-up sex in a supply closet when the Martin men barged in. Back in Annie's hospital room, she awoke to find Terry standing above her demanding to know where their daughter was. Luckily, Jamal came to her rescue and knocked the creep out.

At Kendall's condo, Erica finally dropped her bombshell: "Josh is my son.” Kendall didn't believe her and assumed Zach put Erica up to it for her sake. But Erica sat her daughter down and explained how indeed Josh was her son — and Kendall's brother. "The DNA test you took is meaningless," she explained. Josh would match the baby regardless. Kendall comforted her mother and then warned Erica not to tell Josh; it would destroy him knowing he was almost terminated. Later, after a lovefest, Kendall announced she wanted to do another test on Spike, this time using Ryan's DNA.

In their bedroom, Babe demanded that JR hand over the CD of Greg's last words. JR was reluctant, sensing that Babe wasn't fully convinced of his innocence. Babe confirmed that she did want the CD to stop JR from doing something dangerous with it, like ruin Josh's life, for instance. JR agreed to give Babe possession of the CD.... Adam found Krystal in Little Adam's nursery, packing up the little boy's belongings. Krystal reported to Adam that JR might have killed Greg, so Babe was prepared to leave town with her son. Krystal said she would stay in the mansion only if Adam kicked JR to the curb, then looked into JR's room from the hallway and spotted him putting away a weapon. Krystal knocked JR over the head with a vase and tied his hands together with rope. Adam walked in and untied his son as Derek and the cops walked in with Babe in tow. Babe saw JR on the ground and rushed to his aid. When JR came to, he was befuddled as to why Derek was there. Krystal claimed that she accidentally dropped a vase on her son-in-law's head. Derek explained that he was on the scene to search for electronic equipment similar to the one used to communicate with Greg when he was buried alive; they'd received an anonymous tip that indicated JR had purchased such goods a few months ago. Colby barged in and said way too much in front of the cops (she copped to blackmailing JR). JR covered for her. After the cops, Colby and Adam left, Krystal cornered Babe and JR and demanded to know what had changed, as something clearly had. Babe said she had a good idea about who was trying to frame JR. Once alone with Babe, JR thanked her for having his back and swore that she wouldn't regret it.

David found Josh at the site of Greg's death, where Josh was heaping dirt into the shallow grave. Josh cut David off when he tried to encourage Josh to make amends for his father's actions by helping Dixie find Kate. Josh then came down on David for letting Babe live with a murderer (his words).

At Kendall's condo, she told Ryan that the DNA test proved that Spike is not Ryan's son. "Our baby is Greg Madden's," she sobbed. Ryan told Kendall that this didn't change anything; Spike was still his. He explained to Kendall how much he loved the baby and expressed his great confidence in their ability to raise Spike well.

Zach, Jack and Joe tried to convince Erica that it was time to tell Kendall the truth about Josh. She felt ganged up on and made that clear to the men. Jack assured Erica that he was there for her, but still she wasn't willing to reveal the truth. She stormed out after begging the men to keep her secret. Zach went home to check on Kendall. Jack blocked Joe from leaving to tell all to Josh. Josh pointed out that as a father, Jack should understand why he couldn't bear to see his son in agony.

Erica encountered Josh at the grave in the park. She told Josh how sorry she was. He shrugged that he didn't blame her for hating Greg. "I hate him, too," he said. Erica was torn up by Josh's misery and after he left, she cursed Greg for continuing to inflict hurt on Josh.

Adam lectured Colby on having tried to extort money from JR. By playing on his desire to make up for lost father/daughter time, she tried to wheedle him into giving her money for a car. Krystal then spotted Colby walking down the hallway with a cat-who-swallowed-the-canary expression. Adam fibbed to Krystal that he'd laid down the law with his daughter; she saw through it. Krystal assured Adam that she was staying put in the house. She then tried to come clean to Adam about her night with Tad, but he stopped her. "I love you," she sighed.

Zach returned home and Ryan and Kendall filled him in on their conversation. Zach pointedly told Ryan that Kendall used Josh's DNA to perform the test on Spike. A stunned Ryan got his drift. Once the men were alone, Ryan gasped to Zach that they had to tell Kendall the truth because she was freaking out. Zach pointed out that he had given Erica his word; Ryan sighed that he had, too. Erica, who had been listening at the doorway, piped up. "I'll tell her." Kendall came back into the room and said, "Tell me what, mother?"

David sat by Greg's grave with a satisfied smirk on his face.

JR was flabbergasted by the news, communicated to him by the CD of Greg's last words, that Josh is Erica's son. JR quickly realized that Babe still suspects him of killing Greg. JR pointed out that plenty of people in town had reason to do in Greg. JR wanted to reveal the CD publicly, but Babe refused to allow JR to shatter Josh's life. She demanded that he hand over the CD.

Erica came home and proffered a sincere apology to Jack for lying to him and keeping secrets. He thanked her and asked why she was so rattled. Erica divulged that Greg might have fathered Kendall's baby.

Kendall and Josh reeled from the conclusion they reached after receiving the DNA results on Spike, which is that Greg must have sired Spike. After Kendall left, Josh started packing up his belongings from his locker at the hospital. Jeff walked in on this and expressed his hope that Josh wasn't quitting, reminding him that nobody held him responsible for Greg's actions. Josh then paid a solo visit to his father's grave to rant and rave about what Greg did to Kendall. Julia came upon him and when Josh broke down weeping as he dumped his father's ashes onto the soil, daring her to dance on Greg's grave, Julia told Josh how sorry she was.

At the condo, Zach cuddled with a sleeping Spike. Kendall came home and threw herself into her husband's comforting arms. Zach was taken aback when Kendall explained that she had used Josh's DNA to test her theory that Greg is Spike's dad. Zach immediately went to call Ryan to do another DNA test, but Kendall stopped him, insisting that a new test wouldn't change anything. So instead, Zach barged into Erica's house and demanded that Erica tell Kendall everything. He filled in Jack and Erica about the DNA test results, but Erica still didn't want to come clean.... Kendall tearily vowed to Spike that they would somehow make their situation work.... Jeff showed up at the Kane/Montgomery manse and delivered an ultimatum about Josh: "You tell him or I will." Jack sided with Zach and Jeff, believing that Kendall and Josh both must be told.

Erin convinced Annie that she could trust Ryan, so Annie filled in Ryan about why she was on the run: Her ex-husband, "T." (really Terry, who at that very moment was secretly spying at Lily at ConFusion), preyed on young girls, and while Annie couldn't prove it in court, she had to protect their daughter, Emma, from him. Ryan later expressed doubts to Erin about the veracity of Annie's account, Erin took offense. In the end, Ryan agreed to let Annie and Emma stay for a while longer.

At ConFusion, where the workers (Jamal, Del, Amanda) were busy preparing for the club's opening, the establishment's new manager, Willow, tried to fire Jonathan and Lily for not fitting in. Lily saved their jobs by innocently pointing out to Willow that her sister is Kendall, Fusion's co-founder. Amanda beamed as she watched Jon and Lily dance, more lovey-dovey than ever. Amanda encountered Terry, who sold himself as a nice guy.

Ryan showed up at Kendall's condo. "He's not your son," sobbed Kendall.
