Annie and Ryan grew closer as Spike and Emma played together. Annie couldn't help but worry about the DNA test she agreed to. When he calmed her down, they both praised each other's parenting skills. After getting the kiddies to bed, Annie taught Ryan a few parenting tricks. When she wondered why Kendall wasn't there teaching him these things, Ryan revealed that Kendall couldn't be a part of his fantasy anymore. The duo grew closer and ended up in each other's arms, but pulled away before giving into a bedtime kiss.

While preparing for her New Beginnings gala, Erica was surprised when Jack visited her. He had rearranged an appointment in New York so he could be with her for the evening and gave her a beautiful necklace. It was Jack's turn to be shocked when he discovered Erica had already arranged for another date: Jeff. Meanwhile, Josh escorted Bianca to the gala but was annoyingly glum about being there. When Kendall arrived with Zach, Josh went ballistic. "You think I'm going to party with the man who got away with killing Greg Madden?!" Zach was pleased with Kendall defending him, but Josh didn't let up on Zach. "You have some nerve criticizing my taste in men when your taste in women sucks," Kendall blasted and the siblings continued to fight. Erica tried to break it up when she entered (with Jack on one arm and Jeff on the other), but it was special guest Donny Osmond who got them to shut up. "Osmond family get-togethers are nothing like this," he quipped. Later, Kendall and Zach excused themselves to go look at their new house. Once there, Zach announced he couldn't live there. Back at the party, Jeff and Josh bonded as they discussed Babe and Erica.

Over at Jack and Erica's home Sean watched over Lily and piqued her curiosity when he mentioned Jonathan and Amanda. When Amanda arrived, Lily asked her about her feelings for Jonathan. When Amanda said it didn't matter, Lily grew agitated and accidentally cut her hand. The red blood freaked her out even more but Amanda calmed her enough to get her to the hospital for stitches. After Jack got word of the accident, he left the New Beginnings party to tend to his daughter, meaning Erica was left with Jeff.

Babe was obviously uncomfortable when JR announced Josh claimed he slept with her. "I'm so sorry. I hate this so much," Babe cried but was shocked (and relieved!) when she learned JR didn't believe him. Babe proceeded to tap dance around the issue, especially when JR claimed if Josh had truly had an affair with his wife, he would have hurt him. Krystal and Adam interrupted the duo's conversation with good news: their baby was healthy. JR had his own happy announcement: "Josh Madden is out of our lives." At the end of the episode, Josh fled Erica's party and was happy to find Erin. After Krystal and Adam excused themselves, JR asked Babe to call Josh and make it final. "Are you testing me?" Babe wondered. "Should I be?" JR countered. Eventually JR flat out asked her if she slept with Josh. "Yes," she finally replied meekly.

Josh insisted that he slept with Babe, but JR didn't believe him. "You're a damn liar," young Chandler spat. A call from Babe interrupted the confrontation as she requested JR come look at the home she wanted to buy. Josh warned JR through gritted teeth not to lay a hand on Babe. "Actually, I was thinking about two," JR smiled and stated he'd "kiss the hell" out of his wife, who he adored and trusted. He then fired Josh and walked out, just in time for Dr. Bianca to walk in and give her brother some more advice. "JR may be a jerk... but he has a pretty darn compelling reason to be smug." That reason? Babe did choose him in the end. And despite Josh and Babe having the affair, Bianca warned her bother that JR may stay with Babe because he loved her enough to. Then she revealed the secret that brought her back to Pine Valley: Maggie cheated on her. And Bianca admitted that she would go back to Maggie in a heartbeat if Mags wanted her.

Zach went to Myrtle for advice on how to truly get Kendall's love back. Myrtle assured him that Kendall loved him, but it would just take time. Even Myrtle couldn't make miracles happen overnight. Meanwhile, at BJ's, Jonathan lectured Amanda about getting involved with Sean. Amanda turned the tables on him and warned him to be a "friend" and back off. She didn't need protecting like Lily did.

Babe was über-excited as Marian showed her around her dream home. However, Kendall burst her bubble when she arrived and stated that very home was instead going to be "Casa de Slater." The two ladies continued to fight over who was going to win the house in a bidding war. When JR arrived, he kept mum about Josh's claim and assured Babe he'd get her the house she wanted. Meanwhile, Kendall ran directly to Zach's office to tell him about the house. He happily told her he'd help and sealed it with a kiss. JR and Babe headed back to the Chandler mansion where Babe noticed something was bothering her husband. Then JR dropped the bomb that Josh claimed he had slept with her.

Tad and Dixie continued to beg Annie to allow a DNA test on Emma, and she continued to refuse. Ryan then kicked a defeated Tad and Dixie out. "Go ahead and say it: I'm wrong," Annie sighed. Mr. Lavery wasn't going to convince her of anything, but he did give a supportive ear. After playing with Emma, Annie revealed to Ryan that she could understand Dixie's desperation. Over at Tad's, Dixie tearfully assured her ex that she never would have fled with Emma without telling Tad. She had intended on calling when they landed. Tad believed her. After the duo poignantly discussed their daughter, Annie arrived with good news: She changed her mind and would allow the DNA test.

David left Dixie and Emma at the airport ready to leave the country and begin a new life. One problem: Emma clearly missed her "mommy" very much. Dixie could see how much the little girl loved Annie and it tore at her heart. In fact, it got to her so much that she returned the child to a shocked Annie. After a sweet reunion between Emma and Annie, the tot went to bed and Jonathan verbally berated Dixie. (The pre-brain-tumor-serial-killer is now giving parenting advise?! That's nice.) Annie calmed him down and reluctantly agreed to talk to Dixie alone.

Meanwhile, Tad and Ryan ransacked David's cabin for information on where he and Dixie could have taken Emma. They didn't find anything, but Tad knew Hayward was behind everything. When David got there, he denied any involvement, but as soon as Ryan received a call informing him Dixie brought Emma back to Annie, Tad could see in David's eyes he was lying. The men hightailed it back to the ladies. Back at Ryan's penthouse, once Erin and Jon were gone, Dixie explained that she would have taken Emma away — but she could see Emma was obviously happy with Annie. "In her heart, you're her mommy..." she sobbed. Dixie begged for a DNA test. One way or the other, she had to know. Tad and Ryan walked in just in time to hear Dixie swear to Annie that no matter what the results said, she wouldn't take Emma from Annie.

Colby and Sean tried to "start over," but as Colby went on and on about a school dance, Sean's roaming eyes found Amanda. When Colby tried to kiss the young boy to get his attention, he quickly pulled away, stating he wanted to be just friends with her and nothing more. A furious (and obviously hurt) Colby left BJ's and headed home to yet again blame life's troubles on Sydney. Later, Teen Brat 1 (Colby) stashed a magnifying glass in Teen Brat 2's (Sydney) bag. Back at BJ's, Sean annoyingly flirted with Amanda. Jonathan walked in just in time to see her become receptive to it.

JR came thisclose to walking into his office and finding Josh kissing Babe, but he was pulled away on business. The close call scared Babe, who lamented again that she couldn't be with Josh anymore. She was happy with JR. Josh pointed out that JR was a homicidal maniac who was a danger to her. If she didn't want to leave JR for him, Josh begged his mistress to take Little Adam and just get away from her husband. Again, Babe insisted she was happy. JR walked in to overhear that and was obviously pleased. Alone with his wife, JR gave Babe a gift. In return, she asked that he fire Josh. Later, JR told Josh the news that Babe wanted him gone. JR gloated. What was Josh's response? "I made love to Babe." Ouch!

JR found Josh sitting at his desk at Chandler Enterprises. Josh wanted to discuss Babe but Bianca's arrival interrupted their chat. An icy JR left the sibs alone to talk. Josh and Binks debated the pros and cons of him continuing to try to win Babe away from JR. Bianca said she didn't know what she would do in Josh's place. Josh decided to tell JR about the affair; Binks urged him to think carefully before doing so but pledged her support no matter what.

In the Chandler manse, Adam confronted Babe about her infidelity. Babe played dumb until Adam revealed that Krystal had confirmed her affair with Josh. Adam told Babe he would keep his mouth shut for JR's sake. Babe thanked him. After Adam left, Krystal entered and Babe demanded to know why she'd spilled the beans to Adam. "I couldn't lie to him," Krystal sighed. Babe was guilt-ridden over JR's misplaced trust in her but Krystal urged her just to keep doing what she was doing (lying). Babe reluctantly agreed. Later, Adam showed up at Chandler and was flabbergasted to learn that JR had hired Josh. But he assured JR he wasn't going to second-guess him. Meanwhile, Babe strolled into JR's office and proposed a midday lovemaking session. Josh turned around in JR's chair and said that was the best offer he'd heard all day. He swept Babe into a kiss as JR prepared to enter.

Ryan, Annie, Dixie and Tad continued to squabble about who hid Emma. Ryan barked at Dixie when she tried to leave Tad's house. Aidan returned having failed to find the little girl. Jonathan and Erin barged in and blasted Aidan for suspecting them of kidnapping. Everyone was so busy they missed Dixie making her getaway. Tad swore he and Dixie didn't take Emma and that he didn't know where Dixie had gone. Ryan promised Annie he would bring her daughter back, then left with Tad.

Zach opened up to Kendall about his fears for their future. She reassured him that she wasn't going anywhere. They were about to get passionate when Ryan and Tad showed up looking for Emma. Kendall jumped to Zach's defense; Tad apologized. Zach suggested they look for David. Once they were alone again, Zach pulled Kendall into a kiss.

Emma was safe and sound at David's cabin but wanted her mommy. When Dixie arrived at David's cabin, he greeted her with: "We've been expecting you." Dix's heart melted when she saw Emma playing. David said that Emma had been waiting for her mommy "and now you're here." Dix sat down and chatted with Emma. She then took David to task for snatching the child. David offered Dixie the means to go on the run with Emma and made a persuasive argument as to why she should. He clarified that while he intended to leave town too, he wouldn't be coming with her. Meanwhile, Jon and Erin brought a distraught Annie back to the penthouse, where she prayed for Emma's safe return. And Tad and Zach arrived at the cabin and pounded on the door furiously, demanding that David return Emma to them. However, at the airport, Dixie prepared to board a flight with Emma. She began to have a change of heart but David manipulated her into continuing on with the plan.

Kendall was shaken when Del proposed a book deal to Zach, based on him supposedly getting away with the murder of Greg Madden. Thankfully, Zach eventually threw Del out of their home. Kendall was still clearly affected, but Zach and Kendall vowed to get through it and decided to go house-hunting. The couple then shared their sweet wishes for their new home.

During an intense conversation about Josh, JR and Babe were interrupted thanks to Colby's screaming. The little brat was whining about Krystal and Babe to Adam, yet again. When JR blasted his little sister for slandering Babe's name to David, Adam went ballistic and reprimanded his daughter — but not before noticing a "look" between Krystal and Babe. After Colby left, JR and Babe told their parents they were looking for a new house. Once alone, Adam wanted the truth from Krystal: Did Babe and Josh have an affair? Reluctantly, Krystal told Adam that Babe slept with Josh. "JR can never find out," Krystal said. Surprisingly, Adam hugged her and pledged his love. He was pleased she was keeping quiet about this because if JR found out, "it would kill him." Seems he and his son were one in the same. Adultery would destroy them. (Oops.)

Tad and Dixie were shocked when Ryan and Annie barged into Tad's home accusing them of kidnapping Emma. Dixie freaked out over the child being missing and she and Tad insisted they didn't have the little girl. The duos took turns accusing each other of Emma-napping. Tad let Ryan search the house and indeed, they didn't have the child. Annie wasn't convinced, though. She was certain they had someone else hiding Emma for them. Later, Tad and Dixie wondered who could have taken the little girl — and Dixie had an epiphany.

At David's, Josh claimed he poisoned David's drink, but David called his bluff and drank it anyway. Plus, he pointed out, if he died, he could see Leora again. (Kudos for yet ANOTHER nod to David's history.) When chat turned to David's other daughter, the tension rose. David accused Josh of being a coward. If he didn't take Babe away from JR, the young Chandler was certain to kill Babe. Josh fled the cabin and went straight to the not-so-secret-tunnels of the Chandler mansion. From the tunnels, he listened to JR and Babe (who were in bed) discuss their love and future. Meanwhile, back at David's cabin, Emma emerged. Yup, the dastardly doc kidnapped her. "Is my mommy here yet?" Emma wondered. "Soon," David promised her, "very soon."
