AMC Recaps Week of December 4, 2006

Zach delivered the bad news of Simone's overdose to the Fusion gals. They
were in shock, but Zach couldn't help but wonder is someone gave Simone the
drug on purpose. Zach asked the girls if anything out of the ordinary had
happened before Simone's death. Cue Zarf's entrance. The rock star
apologized for upsetting the Fusion girls with his odd outlook on Simone's
death. Zach and Ryan's curiosity was piqued when Zarf mentioned he was also
sorry Simone wasn't interested in him, because if she had been, perhaps
she'd still be alive. When Zach and Ryan wondered if Zarf was the one who
gave Simone the drug, he told everyone to ask Kendall. Then, mysteriously,
Zarf just walked out. Kendall was obviously shaken, so Zach, Ryan, Dani and
Binks convinced her to go home to Spike. Later, Zach called on of his
contacts to investigate Zarf... Meanwhile, down at Confusion, Erin was
distraught over Simone's death. "No one hurts my family and gets away with
it," she vowed, considering Simone a family member. Aidan comforted Erin
with a hug — just as Di entered the bar.
At New Beginnings, Sean walked into Erica's office and planted a big fat wet
one on his aunt's lips as a "good-bye." When she recovered from the initial
shock of being kissed by the youngster, Erica questioned his reasons for
leaving town. Sean poured his heart out to Erica. In his mind, he already
ruined Erica's marriage to Travis and he was convinced he was causing her
problems with his Uncle Jack. Erica assured the young boy that he wasn't the
end of Travis/Erica and the problems she had with Jack weren't his fault
either. "Well, is it because of that other guy?" Sean wondered. Just then,
that "other guy" walked in with lunch for La Kane. Before heading back to
school, Sean warned Jeff (in his own unique way) to stay away from Erica.
JR freaked out when he discovered Babe in his house. As Julia and Jamie took
JR up to his room, Babe, Adam, Krystal and Dixie stayed behind. Julia tried
to calm JR down and started to do acupuncture again. "You want to take away
the pain? Get Babe Carey out of my house," an especially grumpy JR barked.
Meanwhile, downstairs Dixie surprisingly took Babe's side and advised her
daughter-in-law to stay and fight for JR — as long as Babe was there for
love... After Jamie and Julia left, Adam went to visit JR. He attempted to
give JR advice about his love for Babe. "Since when did you start talking
like a romance advice columnist?" JR spat, then asked Adam if he'd ever
forgive Krystal if she cheated on him. "I don't know," Adam admitted. When
JR wondered why his dad would preach to him about this then, Dixie walked in
and answered, "Because your father knows what you don't. Your heart is
bigger than his will ever be." After offering their advice, JR's parents
left. He wasn't alone for long, however, because Babe walked in.

At the high school, Sean announced to Colby that he was leaving town and
asked if she wanted to come. The teens discussed Jack's failing marriage,
which is what was prompting Sean's desire to split.
Jack paid an unexpected visit to Erica at NEW BEGINNINGS. They agreed that
Thanksgiving dinner had been greatly unpleasant. Jack told Erica that he had
spoken to Livia; La Kane noted that she had never said she wanted a divorce.
But when they remained at a standstill, Erica said she would have her
attorney contact Livia. Jack walked out. Sean was Erica's next visitor.
In JR's hospital room, JR pressed Adam to throw Babe out of the mansion.
Adam said he couldn't do that but insisted he was acting in JR's best
interests. JR was frustrated by Adam's attitude. Julia then entered and
administered acupuncture.
Tad and Zach sat outside the morgue waiting for the autopsy results on
Simone. Tad was shocked when he realized Zach suspected Simone had been
murdered. Tad dismissed that idea and also the idea of suicide.... Tad
flashed back to the fun he and Simone had when they were together. When her
body was being wheeled out, he identified himself as family and asked for a
moment alone with Simone, which he was granted. Tad pulled back the sheet
and gazed at his late friend's face. "Good-bye, sweetheart," he whispered.
"I miss you already." He thanked her for having helped him find his way out
of the dark and encouraged her to go to Ethan, who was waiting for him.
"Find him and be happy."
The Fusion gals drank Bloody Marys in Simone's honor and exchanged fun
memories about their deceased friend. Zarf sauntered in and observed that
the ladies' auras were hazy. "Who died?" he asked. Babe tried to get Zarf to
leave before he angered her sister mourners but he remained and held forth
about how Simone's destiny had been fulfilled. Binks invited Zarf up to the
roof to continue the conversation and urged him to respect the gals'
mourning process. "I've grieved for myself," Zarf revealed when she asked
him if he'd ever lost a loved one.... Bianca defended Zarf to Kendall....
Zach showed up and Kendall embraced him. "I know what killed her," Zach
declared.
Dixie and Krystal sat down for another confrontation about the paternity of
the bun in Mrs. Chandler's oven. Krystal tried to get Dixie to drop the
matter, which Dix was in no rush to do. Dix and Krystal, along with Colby
and Adam, welcomed JR home. Babe rushed in to greet her hubby but JR spat at Adam to get her out of there.

Bianca and Kendall reflected on Simone's death while watching Miranda
snooze. Zach, meanwhile, told the nanny about Simone's passing. Zach fixed
drinks for Kendall and Bianca and assured his wife that Simone knew how
dearly Kendall loved her. Distressed by Kendall's distress, Zach left to go
see Derek. He demanded to see Simone's autopsy report. "What's it to you?"
huffed Derek. Derek softened when he saw how much Zach just sincerely wanted
to offer relief to Kendall but said he genuinely didn't know what had ended
Simone's life..... Kendall swore to Bianca that there is no way Simone had
committed suicide.
At ConFusion, Wildwind's residents were toasting to their new living
arrangement when Erin entered and tried to take Jonathan aside to tell him
that Simone had died; Ryan and Annie burst in fresh from their concert and
delayed her announcement. Jon finally noticed Erin's mood and inquired about
it. She tried to pretend that everything was fine and downed margaritas, but
ended up breaking down in tears. "She's dead," blurted out Erin. Jamie,
Julia, Annie, Ryan, Jonathan, Del, Amanda, Di and Aidan gathered around as
she recounted what had happened to Simone. Jamie excused himself to phone
Tad with the news.
Josh insisted on escorting Babe home from Fusion but she noted that she
needed to begin letting him go. He then found Danielle sitting alone in the
boat house and gave her a shoulder to cry on about the loss of her friend.
Dani grilled Josh about his involvement with Babe. Next, Josh hit ConFusion
and sat alone at the bar while Dani returned to the empty Fusion office.
Babe visited JR in his hospital room and informed him that Simone had died.
Babe noted to JR that as much as they fight, their squabbling doesn't erase
their love for each other. "If you had died that night, my world would have
been over," she said, referring to his window tumble. An icy JR replied that
he was sorry about Simone but needed to get some sleep. Babe got the
not-so-subtle hint and left.
Erin went upstairs to Fusion and embraced Dani. Babe also showed up,
followed by Kendall and Bianca. The five women hugged and cried.

Krystal adamantly insisted to Tad that the baby she's carrying is Adam's,
not his. Tad told Krystal that he believed her; she was relieved and more
than a little surprised, not to mention guilty, especially when Tad remarked
that he knew she would never lie about something this important. Adam walked
in and expressed a desire to know the nature of the ammo David claimed to
have against Krystal. Tad explained that David had tried to convince Dixie
that he and Krystal were having an affair.
At Fusion, Babe was horrified as she hovered over Simone's lifeless body,
which lay on Zarf's yoga mat. A large white flower was tucked behind her
ear.
At ConFusion, Josh wouldn't open up to Bianca about the source of his
obvious anger. Babe ran downstairs and dragged Josh upstairs to deal with
Simone; Zach, Erin, Kendall, Danielle and Bianca followed. They summoned an
ambulance but it was too late. "She's gone," said Josh. "I'm sorry." Kendall
refused to believe it. Bianca put her arms around Kendall; Dani comforted
Erin; Josh took Babe into his arms. Zach was rattled, thinking about his
mystery woman with the white flower. The police arrived and Kendall wept as
they tended to Simone's body. Kendall noticed Babe in tears and took her
hand. Derek entered; Dani flew into his arms. The chief then stood over
Simone and questioned Babe about how she had found him. Zach said they had
been celebrating when Simone was killed. "Killed?" repeated Derek. "Why do
you say that?" Derek pointed out that there was no sign whatsoever of foul
play. Derek asked the group if Simone had been depressed of late. The women
insisted that Simone's spirits had been good. "Healthy young women don't
tend to die in their sleep," Derek noted, but Kendall insisted that Simone
couldn't possibly have killed herself. Bianca agreed with her sister; Erin
and Danielle were confident that they would have known, too. Zach said his
instinct told him that Simone had been murdered.
At Wildwind, Del scrambled to explain himself when Jamie and Julia busted
him for trying to charge her rent to live in the room next to him. Di,
Julia, Jamie and Aidan enjoyed busting Del's chops as they all got a fire
going and enjoyed some quality hang-out time. Julia invited Amanda to move
in; Amanda was thrilled.... Jamie and Julia cuddled by the fire; she thanked
him for making the night so special. Jamie brought up the issue of moving
in. "Is it too much, too fast?" he wondered. She approved the idea of them
becoming roomies.... Di took Aidan up to her room; he wasted no time
undressing her. Di stopped the action long enough to suggest that he move
into Wildwind, too.... Aidan and Di came downstairs and Julia gave her
consent for him to move in; the two couples toasted to group living.
Lily and Jonathan met up at the boathouse. She struggled for the words to
explain her conflicted feelings about him. Jon apologized to Lily for
hurting her. She said that she was now able to stay calm when she thought of
him, which was becoming more infrequent. They shared a bittersweet good-bye
and assured each other that they would never forget each other.
At ConFusion, as their shift began, Del warned Amanda that he sleepwalks.
Jon overheard Del's flirtatious banter and tried not to let it show how much
it bugged him. Jon expressed his concern about her living in such close
proximity to Del. Amanda reminded Jon that she didn't need his protection;
he backed off. Amanda assured Jon that Del didn't have a chance in hell of
getting her into his bed.

Ryan took Annie to ConFusion for their official first date and surprised her
with concert tickets to see her favorite band.
Kendall and Zach went to Fusion and shared their good news (they'd bought a
new home) with Simone, Danielle and Erin. Meanwhile, Bianca broke the news
to a smitten Zarf that she's a lesbian. "Of course you are," he said
pensively. "That explains it." Kendall interrupted their rooftop chat to
summon Binks back down to the office to help her celebrate her home
ownership. Zarf told Kendall he hoped she found the peace she was looking
for. The Fusion crew took off to celebrate the Slaters' real estate purchase
at ConFusion; a glum Simone stayed behind and chatted with Zarf. She cut
their conversation short and excused herself. Kendall pulled up a chair at
Ryan and Annie's table, deliberately interrupting their date. Erin and
Danielle filled in Ryan and Annie about Zarf's nude performance in their
office. Kendall sighed that Zarf was bad news. Ryan showed Kendall the
picture of his and Annie's visit to Santa with Spike and Emma; she felt a
bolt of jealousy.... Zach was distracted by flashes of an image of his
mystery woman and imagined a sign saying "You Murdered Her".... After Ryan
and Annie left for the concert, Kendall complained to Zach about Ryan's
unauthorized trip to Santa with Spike.
Josh visited Babe in her bedroom bearing a gift: a photo album of Little
Adam. "I do love you," she sighed, hugging him. Still, she made it clear,
she intended to stay with JR. Josh insisted that she would be happier with
him but she was adamant. "JR is a part of my soul," she said. Josh said he
wouldn't make it easy on Babe to forget about him. Reluctantly, he left. He
headed to ConFusion for a drink and gave Bianca the brush-off when she asked
if he was okay.
Krystal took off for a doctor's appointment, leaving Tad and Dixie behind in
the Chandler living room. Dix reported to Tad that Krystal swears the baby
she's carrying is Adam's. Tad tried to convince Dix to let go of the idea
that the child might be his; Dix urged him not to dismiss the notion so
easily. Tad emphasized to Dixie that nothing on the planet could ever take
the place of his missing little girl, Kate. She shot back that if the baby
was his, she wasn't going to let Krystal do to him what she herself had done
(keep his child from him).
Adam blustered to Joe about Julia administering acupuncture to JR. Krystal
arrived for her doctor's appointment, interrupting their argument. Krystal
supported JR's decision to stay off meds given his history of addiction.
Krystal began experiencing cramps and Joe summoned her OB/GYN.... Adam
fantasized about life with Krystal and little Charlotte and was relieved
when Joe reported that Krystal and baby were doing just fine. A choked-up
Adam apologized to Krystal for their recent squabbles. "I will die if I lose
you," he said, kissing her tenderly. Adam went to fetch the car to take
Krystal home; Tad sauntered in and told Krystal that Dixie had informed him
of David's claim about the true paternity of her baby-to-be.
Babe walked into the darkened Fusion office and made a horrifying discovery:
Simone's dead body.
