At BJ's, Josh watched as Ryan bonded with Annie and cutie Emma. Later, Ryan told Josh that if he ever had a daughter, he hoped she'd be like Emma. (Little does he know....) After Josh left, Ryan, Annie, Jonathan and
Emma decided to ring in the New Year together.
While discussing the miracles and tragedies of 2006 with Kendall, Bianca received a phone call from Maggie who declared she wasn't ready to get back together. Good big sis that she is, Kendall told Binks to forget all about
Maggie; there was another woman out there for Bianca. When Binks said she had a date for New Year's Eve, Kendall wondered who the lucky girl was. "She's a he," Bianca explained. "I'm going out with Zarf." Of course, Kendall exploded. Not only was Zarf a man but Kendall hated him. Kendall calmed down a
little to comfort Bianca when she saw Binks' inner turmoil over being attracted to a man. Later, Josh arrived and surprisingly supported Bianca
with her love life decision. Binks wished her siblings a happy New Year and then headed off to get dressed for her big date. Once she was all dolled up, Bianca opened her door to find her date even more dolled up. Zarf was dressed completely like a woman!
Back at Fusion, Kendall confirmed Josh's fear: she wasn't going to tell Ryan
he is Emma's father. Josh didn't support that at all, especially after what
happened to him and all of the cases with Greg Madden. Kendall stood by her decision, though. Unfortunately for her, Ryan walked in to hear bro and sis arguing over Annie. When he questioned what it was about, Josh looked at Kendall. "If you don't tell Ryan and Annie, I'll start right now," he vowed.
At Wildwind, Di and Aidan prepared to set a trap for the Satin Slayer. Aidan assured Di he would keep her safe and sealed it with a kiss. All of the Wildwind residents later gathered to help keep that adorable little Kathy's
mind off of her mom. While Kathy was upstairs getting dressed up, Jamie comforted Julia, who was afraid Linda would die and Kathy would be left all alone.
Tad met Zach at the boathouse to talk about his investigation into Zach's
past. He learned of many dirty deeds Mr. Slater had been responsible for, but none that would help him with the murder investigation. He insisted Zach give him more information. Zach balked. However, as Tad was walking away completely frustrated, he received a call. After hanging up the phone, he glared at Zach. "I know the connection between you and these murders," Tad announced.

Zach continued to be haunted by the screams from a ghostly woman. The woman Zach saw at that moment was actually Bianca, however. A frantic Zach wondered why Bianca was alone. She asked him what is going on. Zach admitted he fears the serial killer. Bianca pushed him. "You know something else. Tell me what
you know," she begged. Zach told her about his dream about a woman who needs his help but who he can't save. Zach added that he felt he was the only one who could stop the murders.
Tad bonded with little Kathy in the hospital waiting room. Jamie brought Tad
up to speed on what had happened to Kathy's parents. Clarence loomed in the
background. Tad and Jamie agreed that wherever Kate was, she was fine.
Julia assured Linda, Kathy's mom, that she'd be fine. She broke the news that Jim, her husband, didn't make it. Julia offered her home to Kathy and Linda. Linda told Kathy that she'd be staying with Aunt Julia.
JR left a message on Babe's machine wondering where she was. While he waited, Zarf showed up. "Do you think she really belongs with you?" Zarf asked a chair-bound JR. The two bantered. "I am the zenith of Babe's career," Zarf said. JR wasn't backing down. Zarf told JR that Babe was at the Valley Inn and asked him why he didn't use his power to make Babe happy. Zarf added that he knows what Babe needs and wants. JR remained unimpressed with the rock star.
A frightened Babe hid in the parking garage but Josh came to her rescue. Josh and Babe's bodyguard, George, didn't see anyone. Babe appeared to faint, but didn't. Josh insisted she go to the hospital, but Babe refused. We, the viewers, learned that the person lurking about was actually Zarf.
Ryan, Emma, Annie and Kendall played by the pond. Kendall asked Annie if she was falling for Ryan. Kendall and Annie agreed they wanted to protect Ryan from any more hurt. Annie admitted that she cares about Ryan. Emma, Ryan and Annie then hit the ice skating pond. Kendall got a call from Josh with word that he has the results of Emma's test. Josh told Kendall that Emma was indeed Ryan's child.
Josh took Babe's blood pressure. Josh told Babe he wanted to kiss her. Babe
held him at bay. Josh had a present for Babe that he couldn't return. She asked what it was. Josh handed the gift to Babe and said, "I still love you." Josh said he couldn't go anywhere until he caught the serial killer.
Colby watched Babe and Josh on the spycam. Babe tried to get up and leave, which caused the spycam to fall on the floor. Colby was frantic. She and
Sean tried to come up with a way to get the spycam back in place. Colby remained determined to prove that Babe was cheating and that her role was to protect her brother and her family.

Jack and Erica woke up in each other's arms. After making a snowman, Colby and Sean showed up and Jack gave him cash to go away and have fun. Erica
referred to him as a matchmaker. Sean gave Jack and Erica their coats and
suggested they go outside for some daylight. Jack declared his love for Erica and said how much he wanted this to work out. He went in for a kiss. Jack mentioned the Christmas concert they were going to. Erica ruined the mood when she said she was already going — with Jeff.
At the house, Sean and Colby played some computer games. "You are small but scary," Sean said to his partner.
Jeff told Julia and Jamie that Kathy's dad had died, but her mom Linda had stabilized. Julia wept. Julia didn't know much about Kathy's extended
family. Jeff hoped that Kathy had the answers. Julia and Jamie watched Kathy play with the snowman. Julia thought Kathy was traumatized and didn't know how to proceed. Jamie left the two gals alone. Jamie returned with some hot
chocolate. Julie tried to get Kathy open up about her family, but Julia didn't get anywhere. Julia was beeped by the hospital, and they all left the snowman. Jeff told Julia that Kathy's mom was 50/50. Julia went in to see
Kathy's mom, Linda. Julia assured her that she'd be fine soon. Tad arrived and saw Kathy. "Who's little girl are you?" he asked.
Dixie and Tad talked about how difficult Christmas was. Tad added that this time was about as bleak "as it gets." Tad promised Dixie that Kate would be with them for all the Christmases in the future. Tad told Dixie that he has a
feeling they'll find her. The two talked about Father Clarence. Adam asked Tad and Dixie to join the family in the parlor. "It's about the baby," he said. Adam asked them to be Charlotte's godparents. Dixie and Tad looked a little shocked. Tad said he'd be honored. Everyone else (Dixie and Krystal)
were quite uncomfortable knowing what they know (that Tad's the father.)
Tad put his hand on Krystal's stomach. Tad smiled and welcomed the baby to
the family. Dixie told Krystal she wished Tad could be a father to "this daughter" and promised never to tell her secret. Krystal began to weep.
Zarf was thrilled that Babe had come to see him. Zarf said he was ready to find his destiny. He said it was their journey together. Then Bianca and Josh entered. "It begins," Zarf said when he made eye contact with Bianca. Zarf told Bianca that if Babe has the courage to find her destiny, then he would have to courage to find his. Zarf invited Bianca to spend the New Year
with him and she said yes. Bianca checked in on Josh.
Josh and Babe talked about their Christmases. Babe tried to convince him that there was nothing between them and that she wants JR and that
life "in the mausoleum." Josh accused Babe of pretending what was happening between them didn't exist. Babe left but was frightened by someone or something while searching for her keys at the parking garage.
