Ryan went to the Slater house to see Kendall; she wasn't there but Zach and Annie were. After an awkward encounter with Annie, she left, but Zach asked Ryan to stay behind. Zach implored Ryan to give his marriage to Annie a shot and introduced an emotional Ryan to Spike. Ryan's heart clearly remained with Kendall, but he went home to Annie and promised to try to make things work between them. They agreed to take it slow.

Kendall was flustered when she answered Aidan's phone on their delayed flight to Chicago and heard Greenlee's voice. She tried to cover her anxiety before handing the phone back to a returning Aidan. Aidan then tried to assure Kendall that Greenlee doesn't suspect that anything is going on (or went on) between them. Back at the hospital, Greens visited with Jack but longed for Aidan and was overjoyed when he entered, having rethought his trip. Kendall, who was feeling queasy, became concerned — make that terrified — that she might be pregnant. By Aidan! Kendall called Zach before heading on to Chicago.

At the hospital, Angie insisted to Joe that she needed to leave Pine Valley for good but intended to take his advice to visit Jesse's grave first. At the cemetery, Jesse and Tad were saying a hush-hush farewell. After Tad left, Jesse was plagued with memories of being tormented. Angie showed up just in time to come face-to-face with Jesse — and she promptly fainted into his arms. Jesse called 911 and took off. When Angie regained consciousness, she couldn't shake the feeling that she had really seen her late husband. Jesse, meanwhile, visited Tad again to ask for his help, begging Tad to convince Angie that she had been hallucinating.

Zach pulled off a romantic surprise for Kendall: showing up unexpectedly at her book signing in Chicago. He basked in his love for Kendall, who, guilt-ridden over her one-night stand with Aidan and antsy that she might be pregnant, tried to keep the home pregnancy test she'd purchased hidden in her purse and fight off her nausea. Back in Pine Valley, Greenlee and Aidan were more in love than ever as she was at last released from the hospital.

Erica arranged a meeting with her financial team and came down on them hard for allowing her accounts to have been frozen. Pam then introduced her to Samuel Woods, the politician who had finally agreed to be a guest on NEW BEGINNINGS. Sparks flew between Samuel and La Kane.

Babe and Krystal met up at ConFusion, where Babe filled Krystal in about the anonymous donor who had been found to be a match for Richie. Somewhat against her better judgement, Krystal agreed to accompany Babe to the hospital, where they broke into Joe's office. Babe easily hacked into Joe's computer and discovered the identity of the mystery match: JR. JR, meanwhile, had a meeting with Adam and was pleased when Colby arrived with the family ring he'd damaged ... but was less pleased when he discovered the listening device Adam had had implanted into it.

At the hospital, Frankie grilled Angie about having "seen" Jesse at the cemetery. Angie insisted that there's no way Jesse could be alive. At Tad's, Jesse was not as forthcoming as Tad would have liked about why he has to continue to play dead. Jesse had troubling visions of being held captive. While Jesse was still there, Angie showed up at Tad's.

Ryan and Annie struggled through an awkward "first date" at ConFusion. Their efforts to "become acquainted" were especially tough on Annie. They headed back to the penthouse, where he kissed her cheek before she retired to bed.

Jesse remained out of sight when Angie came by to see Tad. Krystal returned home and Angie recounted her love story with Jesse to Tad's wife. Tad and Jesse both tried to quell their panic when Krystal invited Angie to stay the night (on the couch — what, Colby wouldn't surrender her bed?). Angie accepted and Krystal locked the door to the basement before hitting the hay, unaware that she had locked Jesse inside.

Erica finished up her NEW BEGINNINGS interview with Samuel Woods, whose platform involved leveling the playing field between the haves and the have-nots. There was a flirtatious bent to their back-and-forth that continued once the cameras stopped rolling. Erica seemed intrigued by Samuel, and vice versa, but when he got back into his limo, Samuel called an associate and made it clear that he had a plan up his sleeve where La Kane was concerned.

Kendall managed to stop Zach from seeing the home pregnancy test in her purse. Over a meal, Zach expressed his reservations about Ryan's interest in Kendall and Kendall sussed out Zach's interest in having more kids. They returned to her hotel and got passionate before heading back to Pine Valley.

Ryan came down hard on Annie for not telling him about Erin's murder. A frustrated Ryan took off for Cambias and was stunned to learn not only that he no longer ran the company, but that Zach had his old job.

At home with Zach, Kendall continued to worry that she might be pregnant.... Babe, Amanda, Corrina and Erica worked on preparations for the "Go Red For Women" ball. Greenlee and Aidan showed up and La Kane embraced Greens, giving Ms. Smythe pause. When the Slaters arrived, Erica sensed that something was off with Kendall. She followed her daughter to the bathroom but Kendall was called away by Ava. Ultimately, though, an overwrought Kendall confided in Erica that she had slept with Aidan while Zach was missing.... Greenlee persuaded Aidan to serve as a male model at the "Go Red" fashion show.... Annie reported to Zach that Ryan had gone to Cambias.... Babe sought advice from Colby as to how to convince JR to donate his bone marrow to Richie.... Amanda and Ava treated Annie to a Valentine's Day surprise: Emma in a red gown.... Erica was cold to Aidan.

Zach arrived at Cambias just as Ryan reeled from the discovery that Alexander Cambias, Sr. was the Satin Slayer. Ryan accused Zach of having tried to steal his life.

Krystal and Angie shared a fond farewell before Angie left the Martin house. Tad went down to the basement to see Jesse, who insisted that he had to leave town. Just then, Krystal came down the stairs and was understandably shocked. Krystal was eager to reunite Jesse with Angie and taken aback when Jesse insisted that for her own safety, Angie must never know that he's alive. Angie, meanwhile, realized that she'd left her wallet and plane ticket at the Martin house and phoned Krystal, who agreed to bring them to Angie at the airport. Tad brought Jesse to the train station so that he could go back on the run.

At the Chandler manse, JR learned that he is the bone marrow match for Richie. He and Adam bickered as JR confronted him about the listening device. Adam defended himself, noting that it was JR who lobbed the first betrayal by moving back into the houses under false pretenses.

Things got heated between Ryan and Zach at Cambias as Ryan accused Zach of having stolen his life (his woman, his company). Zach snapped that Ryan had abandoned Kendall and hurt both her and Greenlee. Ryan responded that he didn't think Zach was good enough for Kendall. Zach agreed but noted that Kendall had chosen him. He strongly advised Ryan to move on.

The Fusion gals and Erica continued to prep for the "Go Red For Women" ball. Greenlee found Kendall with the home pregnancy test and tried to get Kendall to take it (unaware, of course, that Kendall thought the possible baby may have been sired by Aidan). Greens assured Kendall that she would be happy for her if she were expecting.... Josh and Aidan discussed Aidan's love for Greenlee.... Annie tried to explain Ryan's absence to Emma.... Jack urged Erica to take her financial problems seriously. Erica was pleased when Jack didn't seem to like her having dealings with the handsome Samuel Woods and, after Kendall convinced her that her pregnancy test was negative (she had yet to take it), La Kane surprised Jack with a passionate kiss.... The fashion show got underway. After she introduced the runway, Samuel surprised Erica, then had a tense meeting with a distrustful Zach.

At the airport, Krystal fought the urge to tell Angie that Jesse is alive, while at the train station, Tad tried to talk Jesse out of taking a train out of town. Krystal met up with Tad at the "Go Red" ball and confided in Tad that she had tried to nudge Angie to take a train instead of a plane. Tad sighed that he'd had the same idea, and had tried to get Jesse to go to the airport!

Angie showed up at the train station. She couldn't believe her eyes when she saw Jesse in the window of a train pulling out of the station. She ran as fast as she could but could not outrun the train. Devastated, Angie fell to her knees. She began to walk toward the station, not realizing that the train on which Jesse was a passenger had had a malfunction and was pulling back into the station. Angie turned around and Jesse disembarked, bringing the two lovers together for the first time in 20 years!
