Dusty, apparently still feeling the paralyzing effects of the drug he was slipped, flung himself onto the floor and crawled over to Cheri to feel her pulse. After announcing to himself that she's dead, he managed to lurch himself into standing position, then took shaky stock of the room. What he found was his own gun, which he promptly picked up and held with his finger on the trigger, so that if it didn't already have his prints in all the right places, it does now. "I didn't do it. I was out cold," he told himself. He then picked up his glass to sniff the few drops that were left inside when there was a knock at the door. At this point, he turned into kind of a cop, clearing the room with his gun before opening his door. Margo was in the hall, and noted that someone reported a gunshot. "That search is over," he said breathlessly, letting the cops in to see the corpse. He told Margo he heard the shot as well and found the body. He also admitted to having once investigated Cheri as part of a story for The Intruder. A cautious Margo asked him to come down to the station. Lakeview co-owner Lily showed up, having heard about the commotion, then followed him to the station, where Dusty — now having totally recovered his cool — reluctantly told Lily the real story. "I didn't kill her," he said matter-of-factly, noting that he knows he's a prime suspect, so he took the gun with him. Lily discreetly demanded that he handed it over, while Margo called an officer for a full body search. After stuffing the weapon in her bag, Lily sort of covered clumsily before going. "I think you've done enough, Lil," said Dusty, interrupting her babbling chatter to Margo, who was in full cop mode. Margo coolly broke it to Dusty that he's officially a suspect, then systematically broke down his story until he calmly asked whether she was going to arrest him or let him go. After telling him that the attitude wouldn't help, she said she was going to hold him for 24 hours, and recommended that he call a lawyer. Meanwhile, Lily cleaned the prints off the gun, wrapped it in a dish towel and quickly stowed it under Emma's sink before Holden walked in. Her husband knew something was up, even though he's distracted because Meg is "ruining her life and there's nothing I can do about it." It didn't take long for Lily to cave. "Lisa goes out of town, I'm in charge of the hotel and there's a murder. Just my luck," she told him, hilariously. He accused her of keeping something from him, which hurt her feelings even though (or because) it's true.

Gwen assured Alison that she's just got a stomachache, but not two seconds later, she was doubled over in pain. Gwen kept insisting that her problem is probably just indigestion, but Ali offered to stay until the doctor calls back, kindly making it sound like she was hoping for a place to hide out from everyone who's seen her USTUBE video. She was reading aloud about symptoms in a pregnancy book when Gwen jumped up and ran to the bathroom. Alison summoned Susan, who gently broke it to her that she lost the baby. Alison listened at the door as Susan tried to comfort a sobbing Gwen. The next time we saw her, Ali was bringing her home, where a shellshocked Gwen just stared at the baby things strewn about and refused to call Will and interrupt his business conference. She awkwardly thanked Alison, who volunteered to stay until Will comes home.

Meg held out her ring finger and told Holden that not only is she staying married to Craig, but she's planning on sealing the deal with a second honeymoon (hopefully one that doesn't involve cliffs). Holden tried to stay calm but reminded her of all the women that Craig has hurt. She pointed out that thanks to Craig, she's the CEO of an international company and "in many ways, it's the most honest relationship I've had." Holden argued that things aren't always what they seem in a marriage, admitting that even the best ones, like his, have problems. "I do want you to be happy," he told his sister. Downstairs, Craig stared at Rosanna, mouth agape. She narrowed her eyes and asked if he was really happy to see her. He was also surprised to see Paul breathing. "Are you disappointed?" asked Paul; Craig insisted he tried to save him, but Paul reminded Craig that that that was only after he lured him to the cliff and shot him. After acting wounded and expressing concern for Ro's health, Craig fished about how much she remembered, butA Paul smugly cut him off and turned to wheel the patient back upstairs. Just then Meg arrived, and when Craig just stood there, stunned, she whipped around, locked eyes with Paul, and promptly fainted into her husband's arms. Craig revived her and explained that "Paul deceived everyone" as Paul listened, speechless by the sight of his former love. They had a moment when he handed Meg her dropped purse, and Rosanna noted the spark between them. "I'm glad you're alive, Paul," Meg stammered before she left. "That was Meg Snyder," said Rosanna. "No, that was Craig's wife," he responded almost tearfully, which made her grill him about how well he knew Meg. He finally confessed that he didn't tell her about his relationship with Meg because he thought it would upset her. Ro accused him of seeking revenge on Craig for marrying Meg, not for all the horrible things he did to Ro; Paul admitted that after Rosanna's accidents, he got into a couple of "really bad relationships," Meg included. At home, Meg and Craig regrouped with some brandy. Mrs. Montgomery blamed herself for giving up on Paul, but also blamed Paul for putting her through it. Craig warned her that the formerly deceased is planning to hurt them both. "This was all pre-meditated," he said ominously. She turned on him then, accusing him of knowing that Rosanna and Paul would be back. He admitted he suspected Ro might come back, but swore that he didn't know about Paul. She believed him, of course.
