At Memorial, Chris rushed in and began tending to an unconscious Dr. Bob as Dusty comforted Kim. Bob was quickly wheeled off as Kim demanded Chris' opinion on what had happened. "He's not responsive," Chris sighed, assuring, "That's not a death sentence." Kim then turned to Dusty, saying, "Something must have happened." Tom arrived at the hospital and Kim confided her fears to him. The family hovered over Bob's bedside as Emily ran into Dusty at Al's. Cue a round of snark. Chris looked like the guilt was getting to him as Kim continued to wring her hands. He then spent some quality time at Bob's bedside being angsty for contributing to his condition. On the next shift in Dr. Bob's room, Kim assured her best friend that she wasn't going to let him go (and Chris kept throbbing with guilt). When Dusty came back with coffee, the big question of the hour was who would fill in as Chief of Staff. Penitent Chris said Bob's health was his first concern, but Dusty didn't seem to buy it. Especially when Em showed up to comfort Chris. Dusty told Kim, Tom, and Margo that Chris had been the last person to see Bob before his collapse...as Chris cried to Emily that this was his fault.

Katie and Brad finished up a round of babymaking sex and Brad breathlessly declared it "awesome." In Milltown, Jack blasted Carly for interfering with Brad and Katie and making him look bad. Carly claimed she was trying to help him get Katie back. Brad kept praising the mindblowing sex and Katie, though speechless, looked pretty mindblown, too. "I think we need to do it again for baby insurance!" Brad declared. Katie's response? "Thanks." Jack wondered how Carly's scheming was going to pay off for her this time. Brad reminded Katie he'd rocked her world, so what was with the lame "thanks"? As Brad claimed she'd "made The Face," Katie cried "earth to Baby Daddy!" and asked him to drop the subject. Jack claimed to Carly that he wants Katie back even if she slept with Brad (but this was just in theory). Ew! Brad reminded Katie that "Plan B" had been her idea and then the specter of Jack joined the discussion. Katie told Brad to get out, but in the process admitted the sex had been good "in a strange way." She swore him to secrecy and Brad sealed it with a kiss. Carly sang Carjack praises, reminding Jack of how strong their love was. Margo arrived to see Katie and was horrified to find Brad in her shower. As Carly told Jack she'd interrupted Katie and Brad in flagrante, Brad sashayed out of Katie's room. Cue Margo lecturing Katie. At the studio, Brad let slip to the hairstylist that he and Katie had hooked up. Jack didn't appreciate Carly's meddling and slammed out. Alone with Kit, Carly revealed her vulnerability. Katie appreciated Margo's concerns, but reminded her that she needs to make her own decisions. When Katie arrived for work, the ladies of hair and makeup knowingly beamed at her and she freaked. She went OFF on Brad. Back at the OPD, Margo was about to tell Jack about Brad and Katie when Tom called with the Bob news. Brad called Carly to thank her for making Katie mad enough to make a baby with him, and Carly cringed to Kit, "Jack will never talk to me again!"
