As Meg and Paul checked Barbara out off Memorial Hospital, Meg reminded her beau that Sofie tried to kill his mother. Although at first he didn’t believe his former fling was capable for such a dastardly deed, Paul soon saw the light and agreed with Meg. Meanwhile, at The Lakeview, Mike interrupted Sofie as she gabbed to a desk clerk about what happened to Barbara. Sofie quickly blew him off, "I don’t talk to traitors," she sneered. Despite his instance and apologies, Sofie refused to speak to him, even when he showed up at her room. Once Barbara was settled into her suite at the hotel, Paul asked Lisa to evict Sofie again, explaining that she was "off the rails." Lisa was happy to oblige after she heard what Paul suspected her of doing to Barbara.

Down on the Snyder farm, Brad and Jack bickered about Janet. "I was just reading a letter that Sage wrote me from camp and while I was reading it I was trying to remember how it felt to be in grade school and thanks to you, I remember," Jack quipped. Brad contended that his brother needed a woman who was not as "spirited" and "dynamic" as Janet and accused Jack of always being jealous of him. While the Snyder boys were squabbling, Katie went to Al's, where she ran into Janet. The pair discussed the romance that is allegedly not brewing between Jack and Janet. Liberty's mother assured Katie that she would never dream of using her ex-husband to get to Brad. A short time later, Katie caught up with her husband at the Oakdale Now studio, where they gave each other an earful about talking to Janet and Jack respectively. They quickly decided to stop arguing and go watch Parker’s tennis match. When they got to court they were greeted by Liberty, her mom and Jack. The afternoon seemed a bit jarring to Katie, who took notice of Lib grabbing her parents' hands and holding them close together. Following the game, Janet and Jack took the teens out for dinner, which really got under Brad's skin. Katie warned her husband about what his sibling rivalry could do to their marriage. Liberty convinced Parker to do her homework for her yet again.

Sure that Sofie was finally out of their hair, Paul popped the question to Meg, who accepted. The couple barely finished a glass of champagne when Sofie rang and asked Paul stop by her room. He agreed to visit the kook's boudoir with his fiancée’s blessing, only to be told he was going to be a daddy. Talk about a buzz kill.
