At WOAK, Brad and Katie met new anchor, Spencer who will be working on a new show, Oakdale 411. Brad was stunned when Kim revealed he'll be the newbie's co-host. Kim explained that Oakdale 411 is a spin-off of the Snyders' show and that Katie will get into hard news. Alone, Brad confessed to his wife that he doesn't think he can work without her. Katie bolstered her husband's confidence and concluded that he would be an idiot not to seize his new opportunity. Later they had lunch with Spencer, who was very enthusiastic about sharing ideas with them. Brad and Katie, excused themselves and went home to get their swerve on. As they were getting hot and heavy, the doorbell rang. A shirtless Brad opened the door to Spencer who wanted to exchange yet another idea. He asked her to tell him about in the morning and shut the door. Outside, Spencer noted how hot her new colleague is.

Alison ran into Casey at Java. He filled her in on his breakup with Emily. Alison shared that she and Aaron are over too and broke down in tears. Casey guessed that Alison bedded Chris before her wedding. She confided that after she got engaged, she freaked out and got nervous about letting Aaron down. Alison contended that Casey only needed to apologize to Emily. Casey visited Emily at her office and apologized to her but she maintained that they don't belong together.

At Memorial, Emily accosted Susan about Dusty's faked death. Susan was shocked to hear he was alive and threatened to kill him herself if he didn't stay away from her daughters. Emily detailed her initial thoughts and feelings after she saw Dusty. Susan urged Emily to listen to her and stay away from Dusty because, "He could break your heart."... Later, Susan bumped into Alison at the hospital, spilled the beans about Dusty and demanded she steer clear of him. Alison reminded Susan that Dusty was her benefactor and refused to stay away from him. Alison confessed that her marriage is over. Susan pleaded with her daughter to hold on to Aaron.... After Emily rejected him, Casey tracked down Alison to tell her what happened. Alison realized that Dusty is the reason why Emily changed her tune and told Casey as much.... Chris visited Kim at the studio and told her he was considering going to Africa. Kim begged her son not to leave. He said it is so hard for him to see Alison everywhere he goes and that he doesn't like the person he has become, consumed by his feelings for Alison.

Lucinda acted like she was furious with Dusty when she spotted him at the precinct. But as soon as they were alone, she laughed, grilled him about Lucy and Johnny and asked him to stay away from Lily. He said he'll do anything to keep Lily happy.... Lily called Holden over to the house. At first she scolded him for not telling her the truth. Holden countered that was Dusty's job, not his, She admitted she wanted to see Dusty, urged Holden to trust and asked him to accompany her.... Back at the police station, Lucinda told Dusty that Lily can never learn of her role in aiding him in his "death." Unbeknownst to her, Lily heard the whole thing and demanded to know how long Lucinda was aware that Dusty was alive. Lucinda admitted that she knew "practically from the beginning." Lily barked at her mother to get out of her sight. Alone in the interrogation room, Dusty implored, "Forgive me." She asked him how he thought he could leave her life without tearing it apart. He grabbed Lily's hand, just as Holden walked in, "get your hands off her," he ordered his rival. Dusty explained that he was only back to make sure Meg didn't get into trouble. Holden suggested that the next time he leaves, he should stay gone. Lily and Holden headed out and a little while later, the police released Dusty. Conveniently, Emily was there to offer him a ride. She took him to Lakeview, where he asked her to stay with him.

When Lily and Holden got home, they found Lucinda waiting for them in the living room. Lucinda claimed she was only trying protect Lily. La Walsh contended that there are four kids involved and she would do whatever she could to keep everything together. Lucinda said that he didn't tell Lily because she thought she'd leave her family to follow Dusty. "I saved you," Lucinda raved. Lily scoffed and demanded her mother hit the road. Holden came out and said he wanted to know what her involvement with Dusty was. Lucinda detailed what happened and admitted that she wanted to keep Dusty away from Lily. Once Lucinda left, Holden and Lily decided to reconcile their pasts.
