Emma brought some baby clothes to Meg, who seemed unsettled. Meg admitted that she had a fantasy that everything she got for the baby would be brand new. Emma pushed her to elaborate. Meg explained that she wanted the baby to be a fresh start for everyone, noting that Paul had already changed a lot to make it a fresh start. Emma changed the subject, asking what Meg wanted for breakfast. Meg turned the conversation back to Paul and insisted that things were better with him. She then decided to do some shopping. Emma advised her not to overdo it.

Emily went to baby Jenny's grave and left flowers because it was the anniversary of her death. She looked up and saw Paul. She asked why he was there; he said he remembered the day and was there for the same reason.

Brad noticed an empty fridge at the apartment and asked Katie to go food shopping. An argument ensued. Katie said she was busy and told him to get the groceries himself. He stormed out. Katie headed to Fashions, where they were having a sale. She spied Spencer and hid. Spencer was shopping for lacy, sexy underwear, which Katie overheard. "It's my big chance with this guy,” Spencer explained, then quickly chose some lingerie. Katie came out of the dressing room after Spencer left and went home to find Brad packing. She worried he was leaving her. He explained that he was packing because he had an assignment in Chicago to cover the election. Katie tried to warn him that Spencer was up to something, but he didn't want to listen. Katie pushed, telling him that Spencer was buying underwear at Fashions to score in Chicago. Brad asked if she understood what she heard and assured her she had nothing to worry about.

In Ohio, Dusty returned to the hospital to bring Josie some flowers. He told a nurse he was her husband. He approached the redhead and apologized for the day before. She thanked him for the posies. He asked what happened to her. She didn't know and explained that she woke up at the hospital and seemed to have amnesia. He asked about friends and family, but she said that she was alone. He introduced himself and they shook hands. "Who am I to you?” she asked. He explained that a psychic sent him to her, then told Josie how his wife died and his son Johnny was missing. Josie noted that nothing about his story sounded familiar to her. She apologized that she wasn't his wife reincarnated. He told her if she was ever in Oakdale to look him up. Josie wheeled herself away. A doctor approached Dusty to talk about Josie's condition. The doctor said that nothing was physically wrong with Josie, but there were gaps in her memory. They hoped it would pass with time, but there was nothing more they could do for her and was free to go, he added. Josie didn't have insurance, so the doctor handed Dusty her bill. Dusty offered to drive Josie home, but she only knew that she was staying at a hotel. He announced that she was coming home with him. She pointed out that she didn't even know him, but he joked that she didn't know anybody. They arrived at the Lakeview, where Dusty got her a room.

Meg and Emily met up at Fashions. Meg asked Emily how she was doing in light of the day. Emily said she was okay, then told Meg how Paul had been at Jenny's grave and was probably still there. Meg headed over and was happy to find that Paul. He promised he would do everything he could to make them a family.

Brad and Spencer arrived in Chicago, but only one room was ready. Spencer wanted to celebrate and suggested they have champagne. While Brad opened the bottle, she went into the other room, disrobed, and came out in a sexy ensemble. She approached him, but he backed off, reminding her he was married. She began to kiss him. Brad pushed her away. Brad's cell phone rang; it was the crew, who were waiting downstairs. Brad apologized for any confusion, then told Spencer to get dressed. She said she wasn't going anywhere until he took her in his arms and said he wanted her. He restated that he only wants Katie and Spencer is someone he works with.

Katie went to see Kim at the studio and they had a good conversation. She returned home. Brad rushed in, told Katie he loved her and that she was right about everything with Spencer. He told her what happened in Chicago and asked for her forgiveness. They kissed and made up. Katie urged him to call Kim. At the station, Spencer came in, surprising Kim. A weepy Spencer gave her version of what happened in the hotel room, making Brad sound like the pervy, inappropriate aggressor.
