Dusty ran into Meg at Al's, where Meg wondered if she did the right thing by cutting Paul loose and Dusty assured her that she did. Dusty expressed regrets about the way her handled Craig and the situation with Johnny. Meg gave Dusty a pep talk about the chances of him finding his son.

Casey caught Maddie admiring her New Year's Eve dress at Metro, he vowed to see her later and left. Henry walked in and was relieved to finally know why his little sister showed up on his doorstep — Casey. Henry advised Maddie to steer clear of Casey and warned that he is bad news. Maddie protested her brother's disapproval to no avail.

Alison popped into Lucy's room at the Lakeview to give her a progress report on the search for a donor for Johnny. Alison tried to talk Lucy into filling Dusty in on their dilemma, but Lucy refused. Alison went off to get a blood sample from Casey.

At Memorial, Josie visited Paul and told him Johnny was missing. Paul suggested it would be easier to find his nephew if he was taken off drugs. Paul swore to Barbara and Josie that he wouldn't lie about Johnny. Babs was skeptical about believing Paul's ramblings and opened up to Josie about how hard losing her grandson has been for her. Alison ran into Barbara and Josie at the hospital. It took some convincing, but Ali got a blood sample from Babs.

In Old Town, Josie tracked down Dusty and Meg and told them that Paul swears Johnny is in trouble. Meg forced Dusty to listen and Josie told them about Paul's vision involving airplanes and parachutes. Dusty grew angry and accused Josie of working for Paul. Meg advised Dusty to pay closer attention to what Paul has to say.

Alison showed up at the Hughes homestead, where a towel-clad Casey shed some blood for Alison's "friend." Ali asked him about his New Year's plans and she appeared shocked to hear that Casey was heading out with Maddie. Alison claimed to have a date with a resident at the hospital, which piqued Casey's interest. Alison got testy when Casey bucked her idea of talking Craig into being tested. Alison rang Lucy to touch base and learned Lucy and Johnny were out and about but there was information Alison could peruse in the room. Alison went to the Lakeview and got a key to her "room." Casey spotted Ali and followed her upstairs. Alison covered and claimed she got the room to bed her date. Casey refused to leave until she told him why she really got the room. Finally, she said she got the boudoir for Casey and pounced on him. Meanwhile, Maddie imagined a romantic slow dance with Casey.

At the hospital, Josie admitted to Meg that she believes Paul is telling the truth about his visions and wondered why Meg was there. Meg claimed she was at Memorial to help Dusty, not see Paul. In his room, Paul told Dusty that he sees a lion. Dusty screamed at Paul for playing games and stormed out. Paul caught a glimpse of Meg. Babs came out of Paul's room and held Eliza. Then Barbara went back into Paul's room and he quizzed his mother about whether or not Meg wants to keep his daughter away from him.

Josie bumped into Lucy and Johnny in Old Town, where Johnny called her Josie "Mommy" again and she noticed that the boy had a stuffed lion. Lucy hustled her brother away but Josie was already onto them. Josie went to Memorial, checked out the old staff directory and realized her suspicions were accurate.
