Alison gave Casey the cold shoulder when he dropped into the on call room after his shift. Then the pair bickered until Ali's co-worker popped in to thank her for the AC/DC tickets. Casey questioned Alison about why she didn't ask him to go with her.

At the precinct, Margo discovered that Jade's ex, Robby, busted out jail.... Derek showed up at Metro looking for Bonnie, only to be accosted by a gun-toting Robby.

Luke and Noah ran into Jade in Old Town and shared their sexy news. Despite his elation over going to the next level with Noah, Luke admitted to his cousin that he was concerned for his grandmother. The trio went to Java, where Jade advised Luke not to let Lucinda ruin his happiness and said Lucinda should've realized Brian was gay.... Brian stopped by WorldWide to collect his belongings and found Lucinda shredding his documents. Lucinda told her husband she was ridding herself of anything that could remind her of him. Brian insisted he is not going anywhere and that he loves her. Lucinda threw all the Brian's promises he made and the compliments he paid in his face and said she regretted allowing herself to love him. Brian reiterated how he feels about her and begged her to give him the benefit of the doubt. Lucinda handed him a wastebasket full of shredded paper and sent him on his way.

At Lily's, Bonnie explained why she is encouraging Derek to explore a relationship with Jade. Margo called Bonnie and informed her she was coming over. When she arrived, Margo spilled the beans about Robby's break out — and that he was last seen en route to Chicago.... Robby called Jade and instructed her to meet him at Metro. In her haste, Jade bumped into Casey on the way out of the coffee house. Casey wondered why she was going to the club during off-hours and followed her. When Jade got to Metro, Robby trained his gun on her and threatened to blow her away. That's when Casey barged in and discreetly text-messaged his mother. Casey tried to reason with Robby to no avail, and seconds later, the fugitive shot Derek. Casey fell to the ground as he tried to wrestle the gun away, but bounded to his feet and tackled Robby, as Margo and the cops busted in.

Lucinda called her grandson to let him know Brian was lurking around. Noah suggested that Luke go talk to Lucinda. After Luke left, Brian walked into Java and Noah gave him a piece of his mind. Brian implored Noah to help him make things right and was happy to hear Noah and Luke were back together.... At WorldWide, Luke apologized to Lucinda again and tried to explain his reasons for being quiet.... Concerned about Brian, Noah went to the Lakeview. Inside his room, Brian packed his bags and pulled a bottle of pills out of a dresser. Noah pounded on his door, but Brian barked for him to go away. Noah called Luke asked him to come by. When Luke got there he told Brian they were worried about him. As Brian tried to usher them out, Luke found the drugs. Brian confessed he didn't know who he was anymore. As Brian explained that what he was raised to believe is very different from who he is, Noah expressed how hard it was for him to come to grips with his sexuality. Brian got defensive and screamed, "I'm gay!" As he made his proclamation, Lucinda opened the door. "Finally," she sighed. Following his revelation, Brian felt relieved and urged Lucinda not to shut herself off from love. She wished him well and they parted on a good note.

Jade, Lily and Bonnie waited for news of Derek's condition at Memorial. At his bedside, Derek told Jade he knew that she thinks he's her father and that it was time to find out of that's true. Afterward, Bonnie asked Derek why he changed his tune about a paternity test.... Alison congratulated Casey on his heroism and as they were about to smooch, Jade interrupted to invite Casey to lunch.
