Dusty went to the farm to see Meg. He gave her a business card for a realtor who was going to show them homes. Dusty urged her to pick whichever she liked best. Paul called Meg and asked if she could drop Eliza off because he hadn't seen her for a few days. Meg said it wasn't a good time, then changed her mind and agreed. Meg hung up and admitted to Dusty that she was worried how Paul would react to the news of their marriage. Dusty offered to drop Eliza off for her. He arrived at Paul's house with the infant. A rattled Paul was surprised that Meg hadn't come and called her. It went to voicemail. Paul insisted Dusty would never come between them. I already have, he replied, then dropped the bomb that he had married Meg. "You're a funny guy; you had me going there for a minute," Paul marveled, then pointed out that his divorce from Meg wasn't even finalized. Dusty revealed that he and Meg had done so in Reno. An agitated Paul asked to hold Eliza; Dusty reluctantly handed over the baby. Paul ordered him out, adding that Dusty would never touch the baby again.
Meg met with the realtor at the Lakeview bar, then ran into Josie. The realtor called Meg "Mrs. Donovan," which prompted Josie to ask what was up. Meg revealed that she and Dusty had wed and apologized for Josie finding out that way. Josie noted that Dusty was as obsessed with Meg as Paul was. Josie asked how Paul reacted when she told him. "I didn't," Meg answered, then said Dusty was doing it. Josie called her a coward.
Josie arrived at Fairwinds during Paul and Dusty's standoff over Eliza. Dusty wanted to call the cops, but Josie urged him not to. Josie then persuaded Paul to return the baby to Dusty. Dusty left, but not before Josie made a crack about his nups. Dusty brought the baby back to the farm and filled Meg in about what went down with Paul.... Josie told Paul they were both losers, which she meant in an off the cuff manner, but he got testy about it, saying she didn't know him at all. Paul noted that when he was through with Dusty, "he won't know what hit him."
At the Snyder house, Luke and Jade discussed her future plans. He suggested she look for a job on the Internet. There was a position open as Emily's assistant, which led to a gossipy update about the Emily/Casey/Alison triangle. Luke warned Jade that Emily was a tough boss, but she said she could handle it. Jade filled out an online job application.
Casey went to the hospital and asked Alison if she was free. She said no, so he asked her for plans that evening. She said she wasn't up for going to a gory movie with him. He assured her he had already gone with Daniel and suggested having dinner in Chicago. She was annoyed that it sounded like a date. "It's not going to happen," she replied angrily. Casey was hurt. Ali explained that she wanted to just be friends. He asked about the vibe between them. She told him there wasn't one. Ali ultimately admitted that a vulnerable Emily asked her to stay away from Casey. He was peeved and stormed off to confront his ex.
Jade arrived at Emily's office with her resumé. A busy Emily told Jade that her assistant had quit that morning and she needed someone immediately. The phones rang off the hook, so Jade picked up one of the lines. She took a message, but didn't get a number so Emily "fired" her. Jade left in a huff and ran right into Casey, who slammed Emily's door and demanded to know why she was still screwing up his life. Jade eavesdropped as Casey confronted Emily about Alison. He came out to find Jade still there and took off. Emily decided that maybe Jade was a good hire, after all. Emily offered to pay Jade to date Casey. "I'm not a hooker," Jade scoffed. Emily said she didn't expect her to be one and pointed out that Jade had no skills or experience and that Emily was paying her for "honest work." Jade said she'd get back to her.
Luke tracked down Alison at the hospital and asked her to speak to Emily on Jade's behalf. Ali revealed she and Emily were on the outs over Casey. Luke urged her to date Casey if that's what she wanted to do. After leaving Ali, Luke called Jade to ask about her interview. She said she didn't get the assistant job, but was offered a special projects job with Emily and wasn't sure if she was going to take it. He wondered if she knew where Casey was. She reported that Casey was at Java and she had just arrived. He asked her to tell Casey to go to the hospital roof, where Alison was secretly waiting. Jade went inside and sat down to chat with Casey. She didn't pass along Luke's message, then called Emily to say she'd take the job.
