Paul came home to Fairwinds, where Meg appeared to be "icky and congested." She asked Paul to take Eliza to her doctor's appointment alone. Then she staged it so Paul walked in on her post-shower, looking like she's dressing to go somewhere. Later, Meg ran into Johnny, Dusty, and Lucy in the Lakeview lobby. "My daddy's going to live with me and Lulu!" Johnny announced. Awk.Ward. Alone, Dusty explained the Craig situation and then called out Meg on her own dangerous custody game. "You don't have the right," she whispered, furiously. At Memorial, Paul called Memorial and found Meg wasn't picking up! Dusty wondered if Meg had come to see him and she said he had Lucy and Johnny and she was happy for him. Her sudden tears belied the words. She blamed her cold and accepted his handkerchief! Lucy saw them having a close moment. Back at the hospital, Paul had a lurid fantasy of Meg and Dusty romping while he tried to call her. Meg rushed home, got back in her blue silk robe and left out Dusty's handkerchief. Paul picked up the monogrammed cloth and seethed! Meg feigned cluelessness. When Paul claimed he's making a trip to Paris ASAP, she made flimsy suspicion-inducing excuses not to come along. She planned his trip for him, though, and her enthusiasm for the task made Paul even more suspicious. He then canceled the reservations she'd made — as she listened in.

At the Lakeview, Johnny missed his other daddy, but Dusty tried to beguile the boy by saying he'd move in with him. Lucy thought that was moving a bit fast and pointed out that she's living with Johnny, too. Dusty said he'd pick up after himself and sleep on the couch. Seeing how happy Johnny was, Lucy held on to further criticism. Later, she vented to Dusty about how Craig's plight was her fault and then questioned him about making googly eyes at Meg. "I'd be smart to forget about her, but I can't," he admitted. Upset, Lucy collected Johnny from the Lakeview kitchen and went upstairs. Later, Lucy walked into the living room to find Dusty changing his shirt and went off on him: He didn't see her as a woman, or a woman he used to love. Just an avenue to Johnny. He insisted he wasn't stringing her along. When he asked what she wants, a tormented Lucy gasped out, "Can't you see? I want..." and choked back the rest, bolting into the hall. Dusty tried to urge her back inside, telling her she's very important to him. "You know what I am to you? A glorified nanny," she spat. No, they were friends, he said. Disgusted, Lucy walked away...as Carly looked on. Carly followed her and asked her to help with Craig. Alone with Johnny, Dusty explained Lulu might not be home tonight.

Parker came home from school and Carly told him about Craig's legal troubles. Back at the OPD, Jack wondered if Craig was ready to plead guilty. Luckily, the coroner's report was in, with an estimated time for Cesar's death! Guess who was with Craig at the time? "Parker!" he crowed to Jack. Jack accused him of blackmailing Parker into giving him an alibi. Craig reminded him he's "obligated to follow through" as an officer of the law, insisting he's innocent. But Jack wouldn't budge! A shaken Craig asked for time to think over a deal and called Carly to bring Parker to the station. Carly, doubting his sincerity, refused! Craig called back, pointing out the day of Cesar's death was the day he gave Parker the check for the car. Carly still didn't want to involve her son in "more drama." Craig then kept urging Jack to call Parker, saying he'd have his lawyer subpoena Parker otherwise. Then, the "cavalry" in the form of Parker and Carly arrived. Jack questioned Parker, but tried to shoot holes in the alibi. Carly sighed, heavily, telling him to give it a rest. She pointed out Jack was taking his Craig hate too far and urged him to keep looking for the truth. Cuffed in the squad room, Craig asked Carly to help him prove Dusty set him up. Before Craig was hustled down to lockup, he warned Jack he wouldn't have the upper hand for long.
