Holden was upset to learn from Lily that Meg was resting in Damian's hotel room. Holden didn't like Damian's involvement because it was just another way for him to insinuate himself into the Snyder family. Lily disagreed, then flirted with her husband to distract him.

Dusty and Bonnie tracked Paul to a small town. Bonnie surmised he could be long gone but Dusty had a feeling Paul is still in the area. "I'm going to find him," Dusty vowed. Bonnie said that Dusty is so determined to be the hero that he has lost objectivity. Bonnie stormed off to retrieve her car from the auto shop.

Upon hearing Damian's voice, Paul hung up. He told Rosanna that Meg is obviously trying to drive him crazy by pretending that she's involved with Damian. Paul declared he could never go back to Oakdale because Meg has turned the whole town against him. When Rosanna threatened to bring Eliza back to Meg, Paul accused her of being jealous because he has a child and she never will. Paul immediately tried to apologize but Rosanna raged at him for being cruel. Paul decided it was time to leave just as Edna arrived and warned that Dusty is hot on his trail. Rosanna announced she had a plan.

Damian advised a stressed-out Meg to give Dusty time to look for Paul. Meg doffed her blouse and laid down to nap. Lily and Holden showed up and he was upset to see his sister in a state of undress. Meg assured nothing happened and agreed to leave with Holden.

While Bonnie was getting her car, Dusty followed and said she may be right that Paul is no longer in the area. Edna approached and claimed that Paul had asked her for directions to Sparta, Minnesota. However, Dusty later told Meg that Edna was lying. Bonnie called Meg with the news of where Paul could now be. Holden then called Jack with this update and Meg did the same with Damian, who revealed he was coming down with her flu bug.

Edna returned to the farm to report that Dusty fell for her plan "hook, line and sinker." Paul was relieved but Rosanna warned him that this is "far from over." Paul confessed that he once had hallucinations of his father and Rosanna advised him to use his time at the ranch to exorcise James from his life. Meanwhile, Bonnie decided to stay with Dusty and investigate his hunch that Paul is still nearby.

Lily showed up at Damian's hotel room and insisted he come home with her. He balked at first but finally gave in. Lily escorted Damian home, where she convinced a peeved Holden to let him stay for a couple of days.
