ATWT WEEK OF AUGUST 24, 2009 RECAPS
Week of Monday, August 24, 2009
Monday, August 24, 2009
At the police station, Janet informed Jack that the funeral home couldn't get hold of Lily and called the farm with the news that they now have Holden's body. Janet explained she took the call but didn't let Emma know yet. Jack said Lily needs to make the decisions and passed the news to Lucinda.
Luke worried to Lucinda that his mom wouldn't get out of bed or eat. Lucinda ordered her grandson to go out and take a break. After Luke left, Lucinda checked on Lily, who was a blubbering, red-eye mess. Lucinda climbed in bed and Lily sobbed that she can't face her life without Holden. Lucinda explained that the funeral home was waiting for instructions on a funeral service but Lily didn't want to have one. Lucinda pointed out that other members of the family will want to say good-bye to Holden; Lily said they can plan it but she wants no part of it.
Damian brought flowers to Emma but she asked him to leave. Meg told her mama not to "treat him that way" but Emma groused that Damian did nothing but cause trouble for Holden, then stalked out of the kitchen. Meg told Damian that she wanted to go for a walk but as they were about to leave, Lucinda showed up and shared that Lily won't plan the funeral. Damian offered to talk to Lily.
At Java, Mason told Noah that he sent Noah's script to a friend who forwarded it to Jude Law. The actor now wants to meet with Noah, but Noah explained he couldn't go because of Holden's death. Mason suggested that Noah ask Luke about it first but Noah refused. Luke showed up and Mason pushed Noah to discuss the new opportunity. Noah was upset with Mason's interference. After he left, Luke pressed his boyfriend for details. Noah finally confessed about the possible meeting with Jude Law and Luke insisted that he go. Noah finally gave in.
Jack told Janet that something about Holden's accident didn't make sense and he wanted to go down to Kentucky to investigate. Janet reminded him that no matter what Jack comes up with, Holden will still be gone. Jack vented his anger over his cousin's death.
Damian approached Lily and explained that Holden wouldn't want her to give up living just because he's gone. As Damian held her in his arms, Meg, of course, saw their close moment from the doorway. Damian finally coaxed Lily out of bed, then downstairs, and Meg pretended to be just arriving. Damian asked her to take Ethan out to the farm while he accompanies Lily to the funeral home.
After sharing a close moment with Emma, Lucinda was relieved to hear from Meg that Damian convinced Lily to help with the funeral. Emma admitted to Meg that she was wrong about Damian.
At the funeral home, Lily asked to be left alone with the casket containing her husband's remains. After Damian left, Lily wept that Holden will always be in her soul. Meanwhile, we saw a very alive Holden lying unconscious on a bed.
