Paul brought Emily's suitcases in and they beamed over their renewed living arrangements and their paper's first edition. At Henry's, Audrey asked him to go see James, as it was "a matter of life and death." Speaking of James, he signed some papers with his lawyer and demanded to see his son. Audrey told Henry and Vienna about Ray wanting his money ASAP and begged Henry to get her a cash advance from James before she ended up dead. Henry agreed to do it...for Vienna's sake. At Fairwinds, Paul got a call from James' lawyer and he and Em headed to the station. There, James was surprised to see Henry and Audrey instead of Paul. Audrey began her spiel about the money. "Easy there, Hot Pants, I'm not dead yet," he warned, adding that "Paul is now officially the sole Stenbeck heir." James said he was proud of Paul for turning him in and dubbed Henry an "indiscretion." Henry was ready to book it and dragged his mom out of the interrogation room. They passed a baffled Paul and Em. James told Paul and Em about his new status as heir, but Paul wanted no part of it. Back at the Lakeview, Audrey was determined to keep James from getting the final draft of his will...so she called James' lawyer! Then, Audrey shooed off Henry and a clueless Vienna and spiked a drink with pills. Back at Fairwinds, Emily and Paul talked about the money and Paul dubbed it a "curse." Henry left V down in the lounge to go check on Audrey...who was drugging James's lawyer. "Mother, what have you done?" he moaned. Naturally, Vienna caught them trying to drag the unconscious lawyer out of the room. They quickly made excuses and hauled the guy off. Emily, meanwhile, assured Paul that he's nothing like his father and he said she could stick around and tell him that forever. "Marry me," he urged.

At the farm, Jack found Parker waiting around to speak with Liberty and tried to disabuse him of the idea. In Milltown, Craig assured Rosanna he wasn't having "a secret lovefest with Teri Ciccone" and said he was sick of her dumping on him. He wanted to know what this was about, accusing her of trying to sabotage his relationship with Carly. Prickling, she denied that. Meanwhile, Liberty tried to convince Janet that she, Teri and a friend needed to go on a college visit but Janet wasn't quite having it. So, it was Teri's turn at bat and she convinced Janet to let her watch out for Libby. Later, Janet told Jack how worried she was about both him and her daughter and they hugged. Then, Craig and Teri took Liberty to a Chicago clinic, learning that they couldn't schedule a procedure today but had an opening tomorrow. Teri assured Lib they'd make up an excuse for Janet and Craig said he'd make hotel arrangements. Meanwhile, Rosanna came to Al's for a piece of "humble pie," admitting to Janet that she'd been wrong about Craig and Teri having an affair. When Janet spotted Liberty's friend MacKenzie outside, Liberty's whole college visit story fell apart. Furious Janet immediately left Teri and Libby messages and wondered to Jack and Rosanna about why Teri would help Libby lie to her. Back in Chicago, Craig suggested he and the girls tour some restaurant kitchens but Lib wanted time alone in her hotel room. She checked her voicemail and was upset by Janet's frantic message. Janet was determined to go search Chicago and Liberty called, telling her she was on her way home and then hanging up. Suspicious Rosanna excused herself as relieved Janet hugged Jack. Teri and Craig came back to Libby's room with bags of food, finding it empty. Lib had hightailed it home to Oakdale! When she fumbled to make excuses for her disappearance to Jack and Janet, Parker covered for her. Back in Chicago, Craig and Teri tried to figure out how they were going to deal with Liberty's predicament and Janet's potential reaction...and Rosanna knocked on their hotel room door, thinking she'd caught them in flagrante!
