Eb trained his gun on Jack and Luke as they approached the crash site, stunned to see Holden's captor there with Damian. Eb demanded the money he requested; Jack attempted to talk him down, to no avail, then demanded that Eb prove that Holden is alive. Damian leapt at Eb and tried to wrestle his gun away before he shot Luke. Damian was caught in the crossfire and shot in the shoulder. After the scuffle, Eb disappeared over the cliff. Luke and Jack asked Damian what he's doing there and filled him in on Eb's ransom call to Lily. Damian said he talked to Officer Grady and lied, saying that Holden was with a woman when he went over the cliff and that he came to find Holden and straighten things out so Lily wouldn't be upset by the story.

Back in Oakdale, Lucinda was by Lily's side as she called Jack for an update. He told her that there's still no proof that Holden's alive. After they hung up, Lily broke down and said she doesn't think Holden's coming home, after all, but it's like Holden is trying to reach out to her because she doesn't feel like he's gone. Lucinda said she's worried about Lily's relationship with Damian and demanded she put an end to it now.

Meg went to Damian's place and had a racy flashback of the last time they had sex. She started rummaging through his things and found Holden's letters. She figured Damian was hiding something since he didn't go through with the handwriting analysis. After, she tattled to Lucinda, who urged her to give the letters to Jack. Meg was too afraid that Jack would arrest her. Lucinda offered to take them to Jack herself.

Back at the crash site, Jack described Eb to the local cops and inquired about Grady, who was suddenly MIA. Luke had a chat with Damian and said he knows he has Lily's best interests at heart. Damian was weak and nearly passed out. After the local cops left to finish their investigation, Jack, Damian and Luke agreed to all come home together and get Damian stitched up.

Meanwhile, in the cabin, Maeve and Holden were still tied up. She was worried that Eb hadn't returned yet and surmised that they'll just be left there to die if he doesn't come back soon. They shared a moment as Holden explained his long romance and ups and downs with Lily through the years. Maeve revealed her past with Eb and admitted that things weren't always like this between them. Holden was determined to find a way to escape. Later, Maeve fell over and briefly knocked herself out; Holden freed his arms and helped her untie herself. They broke their chains with an axe and ran out. Holden vowed again to help Maeve and they kissed, just in time for Eb to return and see. He attacked Holden and forced Maeve to tie him up again. Then he took them to a new location.

Back in Oakdale, Jack stopped by Lily's to give her an update. She was stunned and rushed off to see Damian in the hospital. There, she urged him to tell her everything. At the police station, Lucinda gave Jack the letters and said that Damian obviously never told Lily he didn't get them analyzed so he may be hiding the fact that Holden is still alive. Jack was dubious. Later, Damian played up his nice guy act to Lily and Jacked walked in just in time to see the duo kissing. He told Damian he has some questions. Damian revealed that he found out the body wasn't a match to Holden's and fibbed about why he kept the truth from Lily. Meanwhile, Meg asked Luke about Lily. He asked her to back off and said Damian is giving his mom the support she needs. Then he revealed that Damian fought off Eb and prevented him from getting shot so he's thankful to Damian. They bickered over what's best for Lily.

Jack departed to consult with Lucinda when the Kentucky police called to say they couldn't find Eb's body and Grady is still missing. Jack was stunned that Eb could've recovered from the fall.
