Nancy and Katie arrived at the cottage after Nick's bail hearing where Nancy had loaned Katie money to get Nick out on bail. Katie insisted that Nick was set up and she vowed to get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, Carly visited Nick in jail and told him that she doesn't believe he's a dirty cop. Nick accused Carly of setting him up but she said she had no idea what he was talking about. Carly said he needed to find out who was really responsible for this but Nick maintained she just didn't want him to tell Jack he thought she was behind it. Carly tried to shift suspicion away from her and said that Nick didn't see her last night in the room at the Lakeview; it must have been someone else made up to look like her. Carly said she was with Lily last night and this was the last thing in the world she'd want to happen to Nick. Jack showed up and was furious to find Carly visiting Nick. Nick said Carly was there because she believed Nick was innocent. Jack demanded that Carly leave and said he didn't want Carly near Nick anymore. Carly took off and Nick promised Jack he will prove his innocence. Katie showed up and told Nick she paid his bail. Jack took off and Nick told her that Jack thinks he's a dirty cop and will jump bail. Katie insisted that Carly set Nick up and he has to tell Jack. Back at the cottage, Nick told Katie that he's not sure Carly was involved in the set-up. Katie said if he doesn't tell Jack, she will and she went to call him.

Carly arrived at the Galaxy Club and asked to talk to Chardonnay. Carly was shocked when Butch said he had never heard of Chardonnay.

Lily told Luke she was concerned about something and said she was going to get to the bottom of it. Holden and Jade talked outside about Luke and Kevin, and Jade promised Holden there was no relationship between Luke/Kevin, they were just best friends. Meg arrived to speak with Holden. Lily took off and told Holden she would fill him in on what she was up to later. Holden wondered how Meg was dealing with Paul's confessing to Dusty's murder. Meg insisted that Paul was lying and flashbacked on her bloodied hands. Meg said there was nothing to connect Paul to Dusty except for his bogus confession. Holden didn't buy it and wondered why Meg was defending Paul. Holden told Meg to walk away from Paul and get her life back together. Back inside, Luke told Jade that Lily was stressed and she took Lucinda's jet somewhere to check something out. Jade got anxious, wondering if it had anything to do with the priest that visited last night. Luke went upstairs so Jade searched Lily's desk and found a note that said Orphanage of the Little Flower and panicked that Lily would find out the truth. Meanwhile, Lily arrived at the orphanage and met with Sister Elizabeth. They talked about Rose and Rose's daughter. Lily asked questions about her niece's adoption and asked if they named Rose's daughter. The sister said that Rose's daughter was named Theresa, not Jade. Sister Elizabeth insisted that Theresa was still the girl's name and that she visited the orphanage a couple of months ago. Theresa was disappointed to learn Rose had passed away and was intimidated by Lily's family's wealth and prominence, and feared she would be rejected by them. Therefore, she didn't track them down. She added that Theresa gathered documents and memories of Rose while she was there, then she went home and abandoned her search. Sister Elizabeth told Lily that Jade is not Rose's daughter. Jade was born at the orphanage before Rose arrived and they took her in as a teen after she left her adopted family. Jade, a con artist who also stole from the orphanage, befriended Theresa. Sister Elizabeth warned Lily not to let Jade hurt her family the way she hurt them.

Emily was shocked to see in the paper that Paul had confessed to Dusty's murder. Emily told Susan that Paul is not a murderer and he must be covering for someone. Susan said it was none of her business and took off. Emily called Henry over and wondered why Paul confessed to a crime he didn't commit. Henry said it was obvious Paul was protecting Meg for some reason. Henry looked at Emily like she was crazy when she proclaimed that Paul didn't love Meg — deep down he still loved her. Emily called Hal over and Henry told him he found Dusty's bloodied wallet in Meg's hotel room. Hal wondered why Emily didn't tell him this earlier, and Emily said that Paul was innocent and that Meg must have killed Dusty.

Jade confessed to taking Lily's sweater and charm bracelet, saying she wanted to fix the sweater for her and get a baby charm for the bracelet. Lily told Jade that she had to let them get to know the real her, then asked when she was adopted. Jade said she couldn't remember and said it was hard to get adopted because she's of mixed race. She added that the sisters named her. Jade left, and Lily called Father White over to the house. The priest arrived and Lily asked him to clear up some things for her because she's not Catholic. She thought the sisters would give a child in their care a Christian name, possibly after a saint. The priest confirmed this and didn't think they would name someone Jade. Lily called the orphanage and said she had some questions and would be there tomorrow.

At the stables, Holden watched as Luke begged Kevin to stay, but Kevin said he didn't want any more trouble with his family and ran out. Holden came upon Luke, who told Holden he can't stay away from Kevin. Holden asked him why Kevin was there and Luke covered and said he asked Kevin over there to tell him to stay away from Jade. Holden said he was worried about Luke and Luke yelled at him for not believing him. Holden said he just wanted Luke to be happy. Jade showed up and went along with Luke's story. Jade told Holden that she explained everything to Lily about the bracelet, too. Jade and Luke left and Holden wondered if he should have asked Luke if he is gay. He envisioned what the conversation could have been like and it didn't go well. Luke told Jade that he didn't get the chance to tell Kevin how he feels. Luke asked Jade why she took the bracelet and she said how amazing it is being a part of their family. Luke admitted it was weird that she stole from his mom but he promised to not turn on her. Jade said that Luke has become her best friend, and he said she was his. The priest came out of the house and said hello to them. Jade wondered why a priest was there at this time of night.

Maddie and Casey kissed in the Lakeview lobby and then he got a call from Margo asking him to meet her at the station in an hour. He worried that Margo might know they are involved, so they both headed over to the station. Char and Anatoly came out of the Lakeview elevator, and Carly called Char, asking for the pictures of Nick and her in a compromising position. Char told Carly she won't have to worry about Nick anymore. Char and Carly met in the Galaxy Club parking lot, Char gave Carly the disk of the photos and thanked her for telling her that Nick is a cop. Carly panicked and said she never said that, but Char said she figured it out. Then Carly saw Nick's car and asked if he was okay. Char said Nick had some car trouble but everything was fine. Carly went back home and tried to upload the disk. Carly realized that Char was lying about the pictures and Nick's car and she wondered what really happened.

Earlier in the Galaxy Club parking lot, Jack demanded to know what Nick was doing with a bag of heroin and called for backup. Jack then found a wad of money on Nick, knocked him out and carried him off. Back at the station, Hal and Jack grilled Nick, who said he was with a woman earlier, not dealing drugs at the club. Jack wondered how the drugs and money appeared on Nick then. Hal returned with Nick's blood test, which proved he was also on drugs. Casey and Maddie showed up and said they had seen Nick stumbling out of the Lakeview with his friends. Nick said it wasn't true and that he got a message earlier. Jack demanded to know who the message was from. Nick didn't say it was from Carly, and then accused Jack of setting him up. Hal showed up and said that Nick tested positive for heroin and he's suspended. Hal ordered Jack to go home. Casey and Maddie met up with Margo, who told them that she saw them kissing. Margo asked to speak with Casey alone, and Maddie left. Casey blasted Margo for hurting Maddie's feelings and said their relationship was nothing like his relationship with Gwen. Nick asked to make a phone call and called Carly's cell, but she didn't answer. Hal told Nick to call his lawyer and he'd take him to lock-up later. Jack came home and told Carly she was right about Nick. Carly secretly freaked when Jack revealed Nick was busted for dealing drugs and that Jack was involved in a shootout at the Galaxy Club. Jack added that Nick was high and was probably in cahoots with the guys he was investigating at the club. Carly about died when Jack then said Nick was going to prison.

Will and Gwen checked in to the Lakeview and Casey wanted to rush out of there, but Maddie had yet another idea. They swiped flowers, candles and food from the lobby, then saw Nick being helped out of the Lakeview. Casey teased Maddie about her romantic side while they decorated the room. When the topic turned to sex, Maddie got distant. Gwen and Will arrived, Casey and Maddie took off, and Will carried Gwen over the threshold. They spent the rest of the episode being blissfully in love except for the part when Gwen worried that nothing had really changed for them — they have no money and no place to live. Will tried to reassure her that they were going to be together and their life can only get better now that they are married. They then resumed the honeymoon cliches. Back in the lobby, an oblivious Margo nearly caught Maddie and Casey in a kiss and wondered what they were doing at the Lakeview. They said they were visiting Lisa and she took off for a bit. Casey feared that when his parents find out that he helped Gwen and Will, he'll be in big trouble, but that he felt good about what he did for them. Margo went into the elevator so Casey and Maddie thought she was gone — but the elevator doors reopened and she saw them smooching.

Jade insisted to Luke that she wasn't a thief and that she was going to put the bracelet back. Luke wondered if Jade was on the up-and-up. Jade was upset that Luke suspected her and pleaded with Luke not to hate her. Jade lamented her lack of family growing up and her dead mother. Luke said he understood, he just didn't like lying to his grandmother. To show her thanks, Jade called Kevin and asked him to come over to the barn. Luke freaked because Kevin had said earlier that he didn't want to see Luke anymore. Kevin arrived and Luke begged him to stay, which Holden secretly witnessed. Earlier at the house, Lily told Holden she thinks Jade is lying to them. Emma arrived and informed them that she saw Jade with Lily's bracelet and shared the story that Luke spun her. Lily wanted to confront them, while Holden thought they should see if they showed up with a new charm on the bracelet, like Luke had said. After Emma left, Holden reassured Lily some more. Later, Lily ran into Jade in the living room and she asked Jade how she knew how learned to knit at the orphanage when she had previously told them that she left the orphanage when she was really young.

At the Lakeview, Anatoly stuck a needle in the chest of Nick, who bolted straight up on the bed. Anatoly told Char he gave Nick something that would wipe out his memory and then his goons dragged him out of the room. Meanwhile, Katie and Carly continued to argue over Nick and Katie refused to leave until Carly told her the truth about Nick. Carly said she got a job at the Galaxy Club but she quit because she didn't want to humiliate Jack. Katie went to call Nick to verify the story, then Jack arrived. They went into the house and Carly said that Katie wanted them to be friends with Nick. Jack said that wasn't going to happen and tried to play peacemaker between Carly and Katie. Jack took off to check out a disturbance at the Galaxy Club. Katie told Carly that she hated lying to Jack and demanded to know why Carly gave Nick a hotel room key. Carly insisted she didn't want to be with Nick and said that everything she has done has been for Jack and her family. Katie warned her that if she kept lying, she could lose everything. Carly said she didn’t send Nick the note and she was meeting Lily at the Lakeview earlier. Katie said she must have been wrong and left. Carly called Char about the photos and Char told Carly that Nick won’t be bothering her anymore. Outside the Galaxy Club, Nick was getting the pulp beaten out of him when Jack came upon the scene and shots were fired between Jack and the goons. The goons ran off and Jack found Nick in bad shape — and with a bag of drugs.

The judge refused to marry Gwen and Will, saying he had found out about the past charges filed against Gwen and Will. Gwen, Will and Maddie pleaded for a break and the judge was impressed that Gwen and Will were still together and agreed to marry them after all. Maddie freaked because she forgot to get rings, but then Casey produced some, which he said he got from the bubblegum machine at the diner next door. They resumed the ceremony and Gwen spoke of how Will made her laugh and accepted her, faults and all. When it was Will's turn, he said how he was scared of Gwen at first, but was impressed with her honesty and then he fell in love with her. (Casey and Maddie made goo-goo eyes at each other during this too.) Gwen and Will said their "I do's," exchanged rings, were pronounced husband and wife and kissed. They thanked Judge Steve, Maddie and Casey and decided to head back to Oakdale. Maddie thanked Casey again for his help, and said she had one more idea he had to pull off. They all showed up at the Lakeview and Lisa apologized for what happened before with Barbara. Casey revealed that Gwen and Will were married and she told them congratulations. Casey then talked alone to Lisa, who was surprised Casey supported Gwen and Will. He asked Lisa for a favor. Lisa later presented Will and Gwen with the keys to the honeymoon suite. Gwen threw the bouquet to Lisa and told Casey he's turned into a good guy.

Jade tried on some of Lily's jewelry then hid when Holden came into the room. Jade went to return the jewelry when a towel-clad Holden saw her and asked her what she was doing in there. Jade said she was going to fix Lily's sweater as a surprise and added that she was so thankful to be part of their family. Jade took the sweater — and a charm bracelet — to the stables. Emma came upon her and Jade dropped the bracelet. Emma recognized it as Lily's and wanted to know what Jade was doing with it. Jade covered, saying she found it and Emma asked her if she was out in the barn hiding Lily's bracelet. Jade said she would never do that to Lily, then Luke came upon them, overheard the conversation and asked for his mom's bracelet. Luke said that he had Jade sneak the bracelet out of the house because they were going to put a baby charm on it for Lily. Emma took off, then Luke called Jade on her lie and demanded to know who Jade really was. Meanwhile, Lily came home and told Holden she ran into Carly. Lily got suspicious when Holden told her that he found Jade in their room and that Jade was going to repair her sweater, which was obviously news to Lily.

At the cottage, Katie watched Nick open Carly's perfume-scented letter, which asked him to come to the Lakeview so they could make up. An excited Nick bolted upstairs to change and told Katie he'd have to take a rain check on taking her out. Nick came back down wearing a flashy shirt and Katie accused him of dressing up for Carly. Nick wouldn't confirm he was meeting Carly then took off, with Katie not far behind him.

In the Lakeview lobby, Carly sprayed her perfume on Char and told her that her real name was Carly as they prepared to set up Nick in a compromising position so he'd lose his job. Char put the blond wig on and took the elevator up to the room, then Carly ran into Lisa and Lily. Carly snapped at Lily and said she didn't have time to talk. Lily asked her what was wrong. Carly covered by congratulating Lily on her pregnancy and they talked about Jade. Lily asked if everything was okay with Jack, and Carly invited her back to the house. Lily realized something was up and warned her not to do anything behind Jack's back because it never works out. Nick arrived and Carly hid, prompting Lily to demand that Carly tell her what she was up to. Carly said she was going to get Jack's job back because Nick stole it from him. Lily realized Carly wanted her to be her alibi and Carly said Lily owed her after Carly helped her clean up Julia's crime scene. Katie came upon Lily and Carly's discussion, said she knew she'd find Carly at the Lakeview and demanded to know where Nick was. Katie accused Carly of sending Nick a room key but Carly said she was at the Lakeview to see Lily. A suspicious Katie took off, and Lily told Carly she was making a big mistake, then took off. Nick arrived in the hotel room and started chugging champagne which was clearly drugged because he got very dizzy, very fast. "Carly" showed up and started undressing, and a groggy Nick realized something wasn't right and that "Carly" put something in the champagne. He then passed out cold on the couch. Char called Carly and told her that Nick fell for it and that he wouldn't be a problem after tonight. There was a knock at the door, and she opened up the door to Anatoly and his goons, who obviously had much more sinister plans for the undercover cop. Katie snuck up behind Carly opening her door and busted Carly for the perfume she was wearing, which was the same one that was on the note to Nick. Katie insisted something was going on between her and Nick and she wasn't going anywhere until Carly fessed up. Carly told Katie to get off her property or she was going to throw her off.

At Java, Nick told Jack he was off the gambling case, as of now. Jack fought it and wondered why Nick wanted him off the case. Nick flashbacked on Carly, but covered and said it was his decision and then took off. At the cottage, Katie left a message for Mike, then got a package from him. It was an engraved crystal heart that said: "Mike & Katie" with an accompanying note: "No matter where we are, our hearts are together." Nick came home and comforted Katie when he found her crying. Nick reassured her that Mike would be home soon and tried to cheer her up.

At the Galaxy Club, Carly asked Chardonnay to help her set Nick up. Char wondered why Carly hated Nick so much. Carly blamed Nick for her getting fired and getting her man in trouble with the cops. Carly asked Char to pretend to be her, slip into bed with Nick, then Carly could get pictures of him in a compromising position so Nick will lose his job. Char wondered what kind of job Nick had and Carly backtracked, saying she doesn't know what he does but thought he could maybe get into trouble. Char deduced that Nick was a cop and said they should tell Butch. Carly refused as Butch came back in and told "Tiffany"/Carly to get out. Char said she would meet Carly after work and they'd put their plan in motion at the Lakeview. Carly and Char showed up at the Lakeview, Carly gave Char a key to the room and a typed note for Nick. Char took off to deliver Nick's invitation, which Katie found outside the door. Char returned to the Lakeview and Carly said the camera was all set up in the room and gave Char a blond wig, saying they just had to wait for Nick to take the bait. Katie checked out the letter and was surprised when a hotel key fell to the floor.

Maddie, Casey, Gwen and Will went in to see the judge that would hopefully marry Gwen and Will and were relieved to find a young, cool judge throwing darts. The judge told Gwen and Will that they had to give him a good reason to marry them. He asked them a bunch of questions and they declared their love for each other. They explained their unique situation to the judge and vowed to be together, whether or not the judge married them. Meanwhile, Maddie and Casey waited outside the office and flirted. Back inside, the judge agreed to marry them — right now. The judge gave them 15 minutes so Maddie and Gwen could do some last-minute shopping. Will thanked Casey for his help and asked him to be his best man. As Maddie helped Gwen prepare for the ceremony, Gwen thanked Maddie for her help and asked her to be maid of honor. Maddie and Gwen then walked down the "aisle" in the judge's office.

At the police station, Jennifer fainted after hearing Paul confess that he killed Dusty. Meg overheard his declaration and Barbara demanded to know why Paul was lying. Jennifer came to and lashed out at Paul, calling him a lying monster. She didn't believe Dusty was dead (after all, Johnny and Paul weren't dead) so Paul described their fight. Meg flashbacked on Dusty/Paul's fight and her bloodied hands in the car, then listened in as Paul said that he hit Dusty with his cane in the parking lot of the Wagon Wheel and it killed him. He said he dragged Dusty into the woods and buried him, but doesn't know exactly where he is buried. Jennifer wondered where the hole was and vowed to find Dusty herself and ran out with Barbara running after her. Jessica arrived and Paul told his lawyer that he did what he had to do. Hal informed Paul that his arraignment had been postponed because they'd be filing more charges against him. Back at the Lakeview, Jennifer was having a meltdown and wondered how Paul could do this to Dusty. At the police station, Jack found Meg and she told him that Paul confessed to killing Dusty. Meg beat herself up for not stopping him and that she was too late. Jack accused Emma of covering for Meg earlier. Paul then walked out and came face-to-face with Meg. Meg asked Paul how he could do it and Paul said he just did what he had to do.

2005 recaps
