ATWT Recaps Week of May 1, 2006Friday, May 5, 2006 Dusty showed up at the hospital to talk to Emily, who apologized for what she did to him. Dusty told Emily he wants her in prison but that he would go easy on her if she testified against Paul. Emily said she couldn't do that because Paul had nothing to do with his kidnapping. Dusty left and came upon Paul outside of Emily's room. Paul hoped they could get along for Jennifer's sake, but Dusty vowed to show Jennifer the truth about Paul. Emily cried alone in her room and wondered how she was going to live without Paul. Hal showed Paul Emily's medical chart. Paul looked at the chart and swore he didn't know that Emily was pregnant. Emma wondered why Holden and Lily didn't ask Jade to leave. Holden said it was because Luke was in love with her and he'd leave too. Emma doubted that, but Holden said he ordered Kevin out of Luke's life and he wouldn't do that with Jade. Meanwhile, at Java, Jade tried to convince Luke not to tell his parents that he is gay. Jade said his parents would throw her out, and Luke replied that it wasn't his problem. Jade begged him for some time but Luke said he had to do this before he lost his nerve. Luke returned home and told Faith he had to tell something important to their mom and dad. Faith reassured him that they will always love him. They played a game and Faith told him Holden went to Cal's house after he got a call from Jade. At Cal's, Jade revealed Luke had broken up with her. Jade cried that Lily will now throw her out, and asked Holden to stop her. Holden said he couldn't do that and Jade said she was going to miss him. Holden told her that he believes in her and she should go after what she wants in life. So she did — she grabbed Holden and kissed him. At the Snyders, Carly asked Jack why he didn't look happy and realized it had to do with the skeleton. She demanded to know what was going on and Jack said they had a new lead in the case. They started talking about their relationship and Carly got upset when Jack said he just wanted to keep it civil between them. They took off for the wedding. Jack later apologized, saying it hurts to remember what they had. Jack sat on one side of the church while Carly sat on the other. Carly flashed back on her wedding to Jack.
Nick helped Mike get ready at the church and they discussed the case. While getting ready, Katie realized she forgot to get a minister for her wedding. Katie found Mike and told him they didn't have a minister. Henry arrived and said, "Never fear, Coleman is here." He revealed he could marry them, as he got ordained over the Internet. Katie thanked him and they hugged. Katie walked down the aisle and Henry enjoyed his role (particularly saying "Dearly beloved."). Mike and Katie exchanged personal vows and then rings. A police officer showed up to talk to Jack and showed him another lab report. Jack said he would take care of it and dismissed the officer. Henry asked if there were any objections as Jack walked back into the church. Jack sat down and Henry pronounced them husband and wife. Jack then got back up and arrested Mike.
Thursday, May 4, 2006 Mike told Jack he has a St. Christopher medal and necklace just like the one Jack showed him and it could have been his. Jack got another report and the skeleton was definitely Maya, who had a police file. Mike proclaimed his innocence and told Jack if he was a suspect, he had to tell Katie and postpone the wedding. Jack wondered why they pushed up the wedding date. Nick came into the interrogation room and tried to defend his cousin. Mike asked him to leave and asked Jack to level with him. Jack said the evidence doesn't link him to the crime, so the wedding could go on as scheduled. Mike left the room and told Nick to back off Jack. While Hal questioned Henry about Emily, he overheard that Mike and Katie were getting married. Henry told Hal that he and Emily were friends at one point but he had no idea about what she did to Dusty. Margo arrived at Katie's cottage and Carly revealed Katie was getting married that night, then Carly took off. Kim then showed up with a caterer while Margo pressed Katie on why she had to get married tonight. Katie said she and Mike had waited long enough and she didn't want to take her chances with anything getting in the way. Katie asked Margo to be her matron of honor and they embraced. Carly returned home and grabbed a baseball bat when she realized someone was in the house. It was Jack and he apologized for scaring her, saying he stopped by to get clothes for Mike and Katie's wedding. She offered to let Jack change there and later helped him with his cufflinks. Jack told Carly he would see her at the church and left. A police officer then met Jack on the porch and showed him new evidence. Meanwhile, Mike and Nick returned home and Mike told Katie that everything was going to be just fine. While Margo, Nick and Mike got dressed, Katie answered the door and it was Henry. He congratulated her on her upcoming wedding and assured her he was okay with it. He said he wouldn't miss her wedding for anything in the world and they hugged. As everyone took off for the church, Mike and Katie reassured each other that everything was going to be okay and they left to get married. At the hospital, Emily wondered if Paul would be there for her, but he said he was no good for her. Emily saw Meg through the window, and Paul told her not to blame Meg. Paul said she needed to get better for herself and her son. She threw her wedding ring at Paul and told him to get out. She then invited Meg into the room. Emily said she wasn't going to thank Meg for saving her life and warned her to get away from Paul as he destroys everything he touches. They left Emily's room and Paul said this was her chance to walk away from him, but Meg reassured him she wasn't going anywhere. Henry showed up to visit Emily, then Hal showed up and asked Emily how involved Henry was in her plan to kidnap Dusty. Emily said Henry had nothing to do with it, she did it all on her own. Hal took off and Emily told Henry his money was in storage at the Lakeview. She said it was the least she could do for her one remaining friend. Hal returned, wondered where Henry was and while Emily slept, looked at her medical reports. Something alarmed him, so he left the room and asked a nurse if the report was a mistake. The nurse said she would check. Hal returned to a sleeping Emily, touched her head and said she had been through enough. Back at the Lakeview, Meg and Paul made love.
Wednesday, May 3, 2006 Will freaked when Jade showed up at the house and Lily wondered what they were fighting about. Jade declared that Lily doesn't want Luke to be happy and stormed off. Lily told Luke that she doesn't think that Jade makes him happy. Lily revealed she is still angry with Jade, and she doesn't get a sense of Luke's feelings anymore. Luke said Jade made him happy and Lily promised to be nicer to Jade, for Luke's sake. Luke found Jade at Java and told her that Lily is still upset Jade lied about being Rose's daughter. Jade said Luke didn't trust his mom and he realized he should have told his parents he is gay. Jade told him to think about it and walked off, while Will saw Luke get upset and asked him if he was okay. Luke told Will that Jade is not his girlfriend. Katie told Mike that the only date the church had available was tonight. Nick showed up and they told him they were getting married that night. Katie rushed off to do the preparations, and Nick asked Mike if he was okay. Nick assured Mike he was going to clear his name and left. At the police station, Jack got the lab results on the skeleton when Carly arrived. Hal showed up with a sick Parker and left him with Carly. Parker told Jack and Carly he liked it better at their house with everyone together. Jack apologized to Carly for making assumptions about her and Nick earlier. Carly told Jack she still loves him and wants him back, so she was glad he was jealous. She returned home, and Mike and Katie showed up with news of their impending wedding. Jack called Mike down to the station for questioning so he excused himself. Nick arrived at the station and told Jack he wasn't inserting himself into the case, but he was worried about his cousin. Jack told him to stay clear of the case and Nick said that Mike and Katie were getting married that night. Mike showed up and Jack questioned him about Maya, revealing the skeleton was probably hers. Mike asked Jack not to tell Katie that he was there because she had enough on her mind with the wedding. Jack asked Mike about the change purse he found with the body, then a necklace that Mike obviously recognized. Back at the house, Katie told Carly it would mean a lot to Mike if Carly came to the wedding and she apologized again for everything she did, adding she never meant for Jack and Carly to break up. Carly said she was happy for Katie and Mike and agreed to come. Carly apologized for the awful things she has said to Katie and offered to let Katie wear one of her designer wedding gowns. Carly fitted Katie in the gown and hoped she and Mike wouldn't grow apart like she and Jack. Katie said she and Mike were happy and looked forward to the future. Paul talked to an unconscious Emily, who woke up from her coma and said she had a terrible dream. Susan came in and told Emily about the fall. Emily then saw Meg in the window and started screaming that they should have let her die. She said she has lost everything and screamed for Paul to get out. The doctor sedated Emily, and Susan argued with Paul and Meg. Paul said Emily would be fine, but Susan reminded Paul that Emily is going to jail. Susan went back into the room, while Meg tried to comfort Paul. Tom showed up and Paul told him that Emily is doing better but he is worried about her. Paul asked Tom to bring Daniel to see Emily. Hal showed up and Tom returned with Daniel. Susan thanked them for coming and told Daniel that his mother had an accident. Daniel went into Emily's room while Emily looked at Paul through the window. Emily embraced Daniel. Hal, Tom and Susan all agreed they wanted Emily to get better and get over her Paul obsession. Daniel came back out and Emily called for Hal. Emily asked him what happened after she jumped and wondered why she didn't die. Hal said Paul gave her mouth-to-mouth and she was stunned Paul saved her life. Hal invited Paul in to talk to Emily, who said she knew why he saved her — he felt guilty. Paul maintained he wanted her to live and that she needs to heal. Emily then asked him if they were going to be together.
Tuesday, May 2, 2006 Outside of Crash, Jade told Will she couldn't believe he got off for killing Rose. Jade apologized to him as Barbara came up. Jade left, and Barbara revealed she got Gwen and subCasey concert tickets. Will said he knew about the trip to Chicago and that Gwen isn't going because she found out Barbara was behind it. Babs insisted she was just trying to help. Barbara went inside and Jade returned, congratulating Will on not letting his mom get to him. Will wondered if she acted all hurt and wounded when Lily and Holden found out she was a con artist, and couldn't believe she was not in jail. Back inside, Lisa asked Luke where his girlfriend was and revealed that she knew all about Jade trying to con the Snyders. Luke walked off and Jade went after him, so Will realized that is how she is sticking around. At Java, Luke and Jade talked about their arrangement and he wondered why she was playing along. She said she finally has a happy family but Luke told her that she can't make people love her. Jade was determined to make it work but Luke said he can't keep up the lie. subCasey told Barbara he couldn't go to Chicago either, but she told him she got all access VIP passes. subCasey changed his mind and told Maddie he was going to Chicago. subCasey announced to reporters that he and Gwen were going to get bands from Chicago while Will and Maddie looked on. At the hospital, Paul told Meg he had to stay to see if Emily wakes up. Susan demanded he leave, so Paul and Meg left. Hal and Susan tried to wake Emily up, then Bob came in and examined Emily. Susan and Hal told him that Emily said "Paul," and Bob thought that was a good sign and they should use Paul to stir Emily from her coma. Susan told them that she sent Paul away because she blames him for Emily's condition. Susan picked a fight with a nurse, then Bob came in and they talked about Emily. Susan blamed herself for calling the cops on Emily and not stopping Emily from trying to kill herself. At the Lakeview bar, Meg told Paul she wouldn't let him blame himself for Emily's suicide attempt but he continued to beat himself up. Paul thanked Meg for standing beside him and was excited they could be in public together. They were about to go upstairs when Hal showed up and told Paul that Emily was asking for him. Paul told Hal he couldn't lie to Emily anymore, but Meg urged him to help Emily in whatever way he could and that she would be with him. Paul returned to the hospital and told Susan he didn't want to hurt Emily anymore. Paul urged Emily to wake up — and apparently had the healing touch, because she did.
Monday, May 1, 2006 Nick escorted a stumbling Carly home and tried to leave, but she stopped him by offering a beer. She admitted, "I don't do alone very well," and also that she's still creeped out by the skeleton (even though it's gone). Nick poked around and declared the premises safe, so they bonded over coffee (unless those mugs were full of beer). Katie called Mike on postponing their wedding, and asked why not call it off? Meanwhile, Will, Gwen, Maddie and Casey discussed Gwen's nerves over singing. Casey insisted she perform — and unveiled Shauna, Rachel and Sky — her old band. Margo stopped Mike and Katie from leaving and begged them to support Casey on his big night. Lisa praised Casey's industriousness. Mike and Katie then told Margo their wedding has been moved up — maybe it will be this week. Lisa explained the origin of "Crash" (she wants everyone to "crash" the party every night), and introduced Gwen and her band. She performed a Sheryl Crow-sounding ballad as Mike and Katie smooched, Will mooned over Gwen and Maddie mooned over Casey (Casey worked the sound board). She only sang one song. Margo praised Casey's effort. Later, Gwen danced with Will and Maddie said everyone was talking about Gwen's one-song "set." Jade and Luke arrived, and she was angry they missed the one-song set. Luke warned Jade that the "Mary Poppins act" didn't score any points with Lily. Across the room, Will glowered at Jade, and Maddie said she heard that Jade was scamming the Snyders. Jade berated Luke for being a lousy dancer, but he was worried about his mom being ill. She told him to pretend she's Kevin, but a disgusted Luke stormed out. Will confronted a sulking Jade over lying about being Rose's daughter. Paul reached out to a mewling Emily, who threw herself over the cliff. Meg agreed to show a wailing Paul the path to the bottom. Dusty ordered Jennifer to call Hal for a medevac helicopter. At the base of the cliff, Paul found Emily "cold and clammy." Meg theorized she was in shock (um, maybe it was the fall). "Is she dead?" Dusty demanded. Meg couldn't find a pulse. Hal appeared and asked what Paul did to Emily, then told Jennifer to tell Susan to meet them at Memorial. "Emily is not dead!" he bellowed. Down in the gorge, Meg worried about moving Emily as she coordinated CPR. Hal refused to let anyone quit on her, and at that moment, Emily started breathing again. Paul and Meg praised each other for bringing Em back. Paul promised Emily that everything would be okay. As Hal detailed the evacuation plan, Emily started convulsing. Meg, Paul and Hal couldn't stabilize her. But Paul must have seen The Abyss, because he refused to give up. He got angry at her. "If you have to come back from Hell, you crawl back," he screamed and walloped her in the chest with a double-fisted blow — which revived her. Emily was next seen being wheeled into the ER. Paul recounted to Susan how Emily had jumped, and Susan jumped ugly with Hal and Paul, then warned Meg that Paul would hurt her someday. Meanwhile, Jennifer found an ice pack for Dusty's leg injury, and he wondered why Paul saved Emily's life; does he need her alive to get their stories straight? The doc revealed that Emily suffered "no broken bones" (!!!), but there could be internal injuries, so he needs her husband's consent for testing. Paul deferred to Susan, who accepted responsibility. Hal told the doc that Emily went without oxygen for several minutes, so the doc feared brain damage. Hal promised Susan she'd wake up. "It's not your time, Em," he said. Outside, Paul murmured, "Emily, forgive me."
