ATWT Recaps Week of October 16, 2006

Friday, October 20, 2006
Giddy Will and Gwen woke in their cottage, thoroughly kissed and made up. Will then ushered in Hawaiian shirt-clad Maddie and Casey. They'd planned a surprise honeymoon to the Caribbean! Maddie wondered if they were going to just let Jade off the hook. Yep, because they had a honeymoon to go to and, "Because I killed Jade's mother." Wha-huh? Will explained the whole Jade thing to his friends, who automatically comforted him about Rose and handed over some tropical shirts. They broke out the wedding cake, made toasts, and contemplated an itsy bitsy bikini for Will. Okay, for Gwen. Then, Casey played a recording of Gwen singing and said he'd sent it to Adam. Will and Casey had to explain how Adam was a brother to both of them. Cuteness with inflatable palm trees and first dances ensued. Will's phone ringing called him into the next room and after he answered, his face was pale. Gwen realized Will was shell-shocked and asked him what was wrong.

At Memorial, Lucinda kicked off a meeting with Lucy, Dusty and Barbara...which Craig promptly crashed. He wanted to apologize to all of them. Naturally, bitter Babs suspected Lucy had leaked the meeting to her dad. As everyone hushed her, Craig said his "I'm sorry"s about Jennifer's foundation. But there was one more thing: he'd set something in motion that it could be too late to stop. He'd made arrangements for a masked ball benefit, complete with political guests like the Prince of Leonia. "I think this town could use a good party," Dusty mused even as everyone else shot down the idea. Lucinda yanked him outside to get the 411 on his cavalier 'tude. Well, he wanted to give Craig a chance to "show his cards." Back in the room, Lucinda put her seal of approval on the bash and adjourned the meeting. Once alone, Barbara warned Dusty about making "pacts with devils." In the hall, Lucy demanded Craig tell her what he was really up to.

Katie had a nightmare about being in bed with Simon...and Carly. As he and Carly started smooching, Katie woke up screaming. In his room, Carly applied cover up on Simon as they chuckled about their exes and their partnership. Mike wondered what rattled Katie and she told him that Simon and Carly were back together. They climbed out of bed (They have a BED?!) and Katie asked Mike if he thought the duo had sex. Meanwhile, Jack questioned Spiro and Carly and Simon kept flirting. Simon ushered in their new contractor, who told them that the building couldn't be fixed before Christmas. Mike figured Carly could handle a "little extracurricular activity." Then, he and Katie engaged in some of their own. Simon pulled out the briefcase full of Spiro's money. Would some cash speed Reggie up? Yep. "You and I, we're gonna make it," Simon crowed to Carly. At the OPD, Jack went all bad-ass on Spiro and Margo slapped his hand for it. Back at the cottage, Snickers Version 3.0 was agitated (Probably by the sex he just witnessed! Someone call PETA!). Katie assured the bunny they'd love him even if they had a baby. Then, she had a flash of Simon-Carly sexcapades. Elsewhere, Carly wondered if Simon had a plan to pay back Spiro. Just then, Simon's phone rang. It was "Plan B." Katie ranted at Snickers, realizing she had to find out for herself if her ex and Carly had hooked up. Simon kissed Carly tenderly before going to his meeting, leaving her visibly affected. Margo told Jack to back off of Spiro. She didn't want to hit Hal with a mess when he came back from DC. Later, Mike apologized to Jack for getting in his business...and Katie lurked outside Simon's room. She broke in and found Carly sitting in the middle of the bed! Downstairs, Simon prepared to meet with his "Plan B" and met with Spiro and his goons instead!

Where were Will and Gwen headed for their honeymoon?

Craig strolled up on Meg fixing a motor at the farm, clearly wanting to help her "rev" it. At the Lakeview, Paul tore up Emily's release about Craig's foundation honoring Jennifer. Paul asked her not to "throw in" with Craig, but Em liked working at The Intruder. Cue ten rounds on the subject of Craig being The Big Evil. Down on the farm, Craig offered to fix the tractor to get on Meg's good side. As Meg boggled, Craig rolled up his sleeves. "Give her a try," he said. Sure enough, skills Craig apparently honed in prison paid off. Then, he asked Meg for advice about the foundation. She made him see he'd been offending Jennifer's memory. As he decided to dissolve the foundation, Paul walked up. "Thank you for trusting me under your hood," Craig twinkled at Meg before leaving. Unhappy Paul told Meg that Craig wasn't to be trusted. He'd just proposed the foundation to "make us all nuts." Meg accused him of being jealous of Craig and pointed out that he'd just been with Emily. "Why don't you trust me?" she asked. "Just calm down before I run you over with my newly-improved tractor." At the Lakeview, Craig told Emily he wasn't setting up the fund...and she wondered if he'd ever intended to do it at all.

At Java, Luke cheered cousin Jade. Holden? Not so much. (Maybe he remembers that she kissed them both?) At Memorial, Jade figured Will must know she's not pregnant. Outside, Gwen wondered if they really had to confront Jade tonight. Will insisted. Jade changed the subject from her schemes, asking Lily why she was there. Lily gave her the good news: She was really Rose's daughter! Jade automatically burst into tears, realizing she'd gained a family but done something unforgivable (besides smooching her underage gay cousin). Outside, Will told Dallas he wanted to press charges against Jade (for attempting to frame Gwen for assault). Back at Java, Holden told a snarky Lucinda that Jade was family. "Not if I have anything to say about it!" she huffed. At Memorial, Jade confessed her whole pregnancy-miscarriage plot to automatically supportive Lily. As Will ranted about Jade's crimes, Lily interrupted, "And you killed her mother. So why don't we just call it even?" Lily informed them that Jade is her niece. Dallas fled as Lily staunchly stood by Jade, pointing out that Will had screwed up, too. Gwen tried to make Lily see that Jade is bad news but Auntie Lily wasn't havin' it. Behind the curtain, Will apologized for taking Rose away from Jade. "Of course I can forgive you if you can forgive me," she told him. They solemnly agreed to call it even. Later, Will told Gwen, "Now there's no good reason that we can't be together." She agreed. Yay! Meanwhile, Holden, Luke and Lily all visited Jade and welcomed her to the clan — and the Snyder house.

At the Lakeview, Jack wondered what Katie was doing in the hall. She sputtered and told him to "see for yourself." So he did, spying Carly and Simon hugging. Katie rambled apologetically and Jack quietly asked her to go. In Simon's room, Carly chased the hug with a pep talk and then left. She promptly ran into Jack, who hauled her to the station. Meanwhile, Katie pounded on Simon's door and her bruised ex opened up. "You're an idiot," she said, blasting him for getting involved with Spiro...and for pouring on the charm with Carly. At the OPD, Jack formally questioned Carly about Simon and Spiro...and then things got less formal. "I still care about you and you know that," he told her. Well, she still cared about him, too. Carly then told him to relax because Simon was now un-involved with Spiro. At the Lakeview, Simon checked his bruises and made to kick Katie out. She tried to play Florence Nightingale, ranting about how he'd used Carly to get to her. Fed up, Simon told her really did care about Carly. "Please just go!" Jack wondered where Simon and Carly would get their financing if not from Spiro. When she couldn't answer, he told her to get out (it must be contagious). As she stormed out, one of Spiro's goons noted she'd been talking to the cops. In Simon's room, Katie flat out asked, "Are you in love with Carly?" He ducked his head, murmuring, "Goodnight, Katie." "He does," she whispered in the hallway, shocked. "He loves her."

Outside the station, Mike didn't want to update Jack on Simon and Carly, but Katie convinced him, promising him "all night baby-making." (Don't they do that anyway?) Inside, Jack and Margo chatted about Simon and Carly. As Carly found Simon all beaten up, Katie cheerfully told Jack that Simon and Carly are over. Then, Nancy called Katie about copies of Oakdale Confidential (the ones that fell on Jade's head). Katie rushed to meet Nancy at the Lakeview while Mike urged Jack to "make up with your wife now." Simon woke up and Nurse Carly unbuttoned his shirt and checked his ribs. (No, she really did check his ribs. Seriously.) Simon wrote off Spiro's "love taps," admitting he'd tried to give the money back. He refused to let Carly call Jack for help. Margo listened in pointedly as Mike and Jack talked about Carly. In the Lakeview bar, Katie cheered to Nancy that Simon was out of her and Mike's lives. (Riiiight.) Upstairs, Simon tried to get rid of Carly, who wanted to help him with his Spiro issues. "I want you to get out," he told her, sincerely. He donned some shades and went for ice, hoping Carly would be gone by the time he returned. Naturally, Katie spied Simon at the bar...and was annoyed when he paid her no mind. As amused Margo looked on, Jack decided to go see Simon about the loan shark (i.e. "check up on Carly"). Simon brought ice back to his suite and found Carly still there. She told him to pay attention to rule #45: "Nobody dismisses me." They'd rebuild, pay back Spiro, and work things out. "Seal it with a kiss?" Simon twinkled. Mike came looking for Katie at the Lakeview (10 bucks says she's upstairs). "Man can't live on aspirin alone," Simon told Carly, wheedling some snuggles. Naturally, Katie walked up and caught the clinch (told you!). She turned on her heel and ran smack into Jack!

Lily got off the phone and told Holden and Luke about Jade's condition. She wanted to head to Memorial ASAP, her own health be damned! "I am fine," she assured Holden, who pleaded with her not to rush off. "Jade could be dying!" she cried. They went a few rounds on the subject of Lily's health and Jade's maternity and Holden reluctantly agreed to let her go. They arrived en masse to Memorial and got the 411 from Lucy. Lily promised concerned Lucy she wasn't agitated and spoke with Jade's doctor. Nearby, guilty Luke told Holden all about how he'd yelled at Jade but refused to spill Jade's "private business." Lucy was thoroughly confused about Lily's new Jade love (can you blame her?) and Holden asked her to access Jade and Lily's records. Meanwhile, in Jade's cubicle, Ghost Rose didn't answer Lily's urgent long distance call, so Lily angsted over unconscious Jade. Outside, Lucy had done a preliminary analysis of Lily and Jade's DNA. Yep, it was a match! "That's Rose's child in there," Lily realized, shocked. When Jade finally awoke, she was confused to see Lily standing there and wondered if Lily had found her niece....

At Memorial, the doctor told Will and Gwen that Jade had never been pregnant. "She lied to me," Will reeled. (Duh.) Lucy told Will and Gwen that Jade had survived her emergency surgery but wouldn't be chatty for a while. Will was all angsty and confused, crying, "She destroyed us, Gwen!" Gwen knew exactly why Jade had used a child to get to Will — because Gwen couldn't have one. Later, as they grabbed some coffee at Java, Gwen told Will she suspected Jade had staged her accident. They wondered if Luke could give them some insight. Luke admitted he'd found out that day that Jade wasn't pregnant and as he explained, Gwen realized Jade had tried to fake a miscarriage. When Will got huffy, Luke stuck to his guns, defending his pal and refused to get into it. He left to check on Jade and Will and Gwen soon followed. Will was determined to get the truth from Jade tonight!

"You have every right to walk out on me," Simon told Carly passionately, holding the door open. "Good, 'cause I'm done," she whispered, walking through it. Meanwhile, a phone ringing interrupted Mike and Katie making out by Crash: the results of their fertility tests were in. "Everything came back fine," Mike told a joyful Katie. As they snuggled Carly walked up, telling them she's finished with Simon. Meanwhile, Simon placed a call to Spiro. Carly spilled the whole loan shark story to Mike and Katie. "It's done!" she cried. "I followed the man halfway across the world," Katie reminded, wryly. Mike and Katie buoyed Carly's spirits and then she realized she left her keys at Simon's. Elsewhere, Simon refused Spiro's money and the $40,000 interest payment. Naturally, Spiro didn't take kindly to this, upped the price tag, and had his boys rough Simon up. Later, Katie told Mike she was glad Carly is free of Simon. Don't throw a party just yet, Katie: Carly found Simon bloody and beaten in his hotel room! Oh, no!

Maddie was puzzled by Gwen and Jade's meeting at the library and convinced Casey that Will needed to know. Meanwhile, Will grilled Luke about Jade while Jade went all bunny-boiler on her rival (Fatal Attraction, anyone?). Luke crumpled Jade's records up before Will could read them and Lucy told them to use their inside voices. Then Casey called Will and gave him the heads-up about Jade and Gwen's tête-à-tête. Jade edged a stool in front of herself and spun fantasies about a big family with Will. Gwen's phone rang (it was Will), but Jade knocked the phone away. At Casa Hughes, Casey and Maddie made small talk about her new-old digs. It was all a bit awkward but Casey felt she was getting better. As Will arrived at the library, Jade's plan to stage a fall and blame Gwen went awry. Boxes of Oakdale Confidential fell on her head! Across town, Maddie haltingly gave Casey a detailed account of Louis attacking her and explained why she'd lied about her virginity. "You're still a virgin," Casey assured her, taking her hand. "Maddie, when we make love, it'll be the first time."

At Chez Snyder, Lily could just feel that something was wrong with Rose's kid. Holden assured her that their PI was on the case. Then, they opened the door to a young woman. "My name is Theresa," she said. Shocked Holden and Lily ushered her in and she explained why she'd come: "I found my birth mother." And it wasn't Rose! She wasn't their niece, but she was pretty sure that Jade is since they were the only mixed race babies born at the orphanage. Luke burst in on the tail end of the conversation, with Jade's medical records in hand. Lily quickly grabbed them, noting that Jade's blood type was the same as hers and Rose's: A positive. Could Jade really be part of their family? At Memorial, Jade was rushed into the ER unconscious. I didn't want this to happen," Gwen told Will, stricken. Will assured her that he believed her. Then, Lily called Jade's phone and harried Lucy snagged it and told Lily what was happening. Nearby, Jade's doctor emerged and told Will and Gwen the shocking truth: "This patient is not pregnant."

Mike put boxes of Oakdale Confidential up on a high shelf at the library as Katie got a call from Margo. Yep, you guessed it — Katie's the very last to know that her big brother Craig is back! Elsewhere, Craig was telling Lucy that "this is the only place I can start over." She was horrified to hear that he was establishing a research fund in Jennifer's name. At Lakeview Towers, Barbara and Paul were equally horrified. When Babs filled Dusty in, he told her to quit taking Craig's bait. His mother-in-law wondered if Lucy was brainwashing him. After Lucy stormed away from Craig, Meg took her seat and called Craig on his shenanigans. Meanwhile, Lucy had to field Babs' question: "How do you plan on stopping your father?" Fortunately, Chaz brought in a crabby Johnny, who needed some TLC from his big sis. Paul interrupted Craig and Meg's talk, telling Craig he wouldn't allow him to use Jennifer's name. And then Paul brought up Rosanna's name! Nearby, when Meg asked Katie to wrangle her brother, Katie decided to just walk away rather than reunite. Frustrated by Dusty and Lucy, Barbara gave them some alone time. Lucy assured Dusty she would testify in court that Johnny belongs with Dusty. Barbara wasn't pleased to see them all chummy. Also not pleased was Meg, who warned Paul she didn't like him jumping all over Craig.

At the Mabel's/Crash establishment, Gwen got distracted from dancing with Elwood by her angsty ex-brother-in-law. She let El down easy and went to see exactly why Jack was so blue. "Tonight I'm officially a drag," he warned her, telling her about his Carly problems. Meanwhile, Carly blasted Simon for partnering up with a loan shark. Since Simon was still insisting Lucinda was his backer, Carly offered to call her. Simon quickly explained his shady dealings to her, saying he was trying to make her happy. Jack and Gwen managed to share a few smiles and Maddie was ever so glad to see Casey. Then, Elwood graced everyone at Crash with some really awful freestyle rap. Fortunately, Casey and Maddie made Gwen go on next. Outside, bummed Jack told Mike that Carly was sleeping with Simon. Except that she wasn't! She was giving him an earful: "Now we're going down and Jack gets to look me in the eye and say 'I told you so.'" Apologetic Simon promised her, "You won't be a joke." Back outside Mabel's/Crash, Jack opened up to Mike and they wondered whether or not to tell Katie about Simon and Carly. Inside, Casey said he'd send Gwen's live performance to his brother Adam (who's in the music business). Their glee was cut short by Jade calling Gwen. Katie walked up on Mike and Jack's confab, but they kept mum about Simon's love life. Elsewhere, Carly grilled Simon about his loan logistics and he told her she was "one hell of a woman" before sending her home to her kids.

Will called Memorial looking for Jade, while in a nearby cubicle Luke blasted Jade for her lies. "Stop those fake tears!" he told her. She pleaded for him not to tell anyone she's faking her pregnancy. "I think you're losing it," he told her, giving her the bottom line: she'd tell Will she's not pregnant or he would. Will rushed in during the tail end of their argument. "It's just the flu," Jade assured Will as Luke made snarky side comments. Later, gentling slightly, Luke told Jade he was going to make a copy of her medical records as proof of her schemes and tried to make her see that she and Will were over. "After he finds out, I'll still be your friend," he assured. Despite her conciliatory act, Jade clearly had no intention of 'fessing up. She called Gwen to meet her alone. While Will asked Luke why his flu-ridden pregnant galpal had suddenly checked out of the hospital, Gwen came face-to-face with Jade in the darkened library.
