ATWT Recaps Week of May 14, 2007

At the OPD, Gwen assured Jack that "nobody got to me." As they argued, Will burst in. He was shocked that Gwen wanted to pay Cleo's bail. At the farm, Carly ducked behind a wicker chair (better than the other day's trashcan) as Katie and JJ bonded over gardening-as-life metaphors. Then, Parker emerged looking for trespassers. Back at the station, Gwen assured Jack and Will she hadn't lost her mind and it worked: Cleo was getting sprung. JJ and Parker argued about intruders and psychic feelings until Sage called them back in. Carly blew the kids a kiss and fled. Alone, Gwen 'fessed up to Will about Carly's reappearance (Good for her!). She swore him (reluctantly) to secrecy by the time Jack and Cleo returned. Will asked Jack for a second chance hinging on Cleo leaving town and Jack let her go with a VERY stern warning. Back at the farm, psychic Parker had the willies and JJ told a calling Jack that Katie came by. Of course, then Katie showed up at the OPD. They hugged after a chat while Carly returned to the Wagon Wheel, bent on skipping town.

"You left me a message," Jack reminded Katie, who reminded him to get back to the kids. Meanwhile, Will and Gwen packed up Cleo at her motel, but she revealed she didn't really have anywhere to go. Naturally, softhearted Gwen wanted to open up her home to the kook. "Carly owes Cleo, you don't owe her a damn thing!" Will cried. His words sank in and Gwen went in to tell Cleo the bad news. Brokenhearted Cleo sobbed after the Munsons left. Later, Parker and JJ noted a food shortage, dissed Jack's cooking, and resolved to be nicer to Katie since she made a mean mac and cheese. They also informed Brad that Katie was Dad's new girlfriend. Uh-oh. At the station, Katie admitted to Jack that her divorce was in the works. This earned her a big ol' smooch on the lips. Or two. Or five. At the bus station, Carly sighed for Simon to do something stat!

Looking mighty fabulous in red, Vienna met up with Henry to ask him for some funds. Apparently getting cash out of him was a daily (if not hourly) occurrence, but Henry didn't mind one bit! They reminisced about playing humble servant and naughty princess, but Henry made up steak-and-pool plans with Brad rather than accept V's dinner offer. Brad warned him to love Vienna before some other guy did. Then, shocked to see water in Henry's martini glass, Brad continued the expert advice. Henry made Brad promise to "tackle" him if he contemplated going up to Vienna's boudoir. Curious Brad asked what would happen if he went up there. "They'd never find the body," Henry quipped. Vienna had a hot fantasy about returning Henry's ATM card. (No joke!) while Brad and Henry discussed Katie. "I think you're jealous," Henry sing-songed. "Jack is a beer at Yo's once in a blue moon. I'm the whole party!" Brad scoffed. But Henry wasn't havin' it. He noted Katie had already had a guy like Brad: Simon. (Blasphemy! Brad is no Simon!)

Vienna returned Henry's card and they revisited the servant/princess game. Even with Brad playing matchmaker, Henry tried to flee. "You're too beautiful and kind and generous and I can't offer you forever," he admitted. Moved, Vienna kissed him for protecting her and walked away. Brad gave Henry a real martini and advice to go get Vienna — and observed that Henry does love her. In her suite, tearful Vienna remembered her non-wedding before bed and then a figure in black crept in through the window. Vienna dreamed of Henry confessing his love to her and kissing her. As the man in black walked away, the camera panned to the Leonian jewels on her neck.

What flowers did Katie sniff while chatting with JJ?

A paranoid Craig got the 411 on Meg's movements from his PI. Of course, he was on the money since she was indeed sneaking around with Paul. Lily came by to see Craig and she was all business. Not all business were Meg and Paul. They were definitely post-coital and personal as Meg said her scheme was their last chance to nail Craig. Paul, however, wanted to end "this vendetta against Craig once and for all." Back at Montgomery Enterprises, a forceful Lily asked Craig to give the company back. Meg gave Paul a bona fide "you done lost your mind" look for suggesting dropping the vendetta. "We could be on a beach, we could be surfing!" Paul cried (yeah, he's crazy alright). "Is Craig's head on a platter really worth destroying us?" Judging by Meg's expression...kinda. Across town, Craig turned down Lily's request, even when she cited their history. He would never forgive Lucinda for the Rosanna stunt. Lily pointed out he'd lost everyone and had nothing. "That makes you the saddest man I have ever known." At their love nest, Meg told Paul about how Craig had betrayed her trust. Later, Lily told Lucinda about her unsuccessful meeting with Craig and asked for "no more ploys, no more games." La Walsh refused to accept defeat: "Not me, not now, not ever!" As Craig mulled over Lily's words, Meg assured Paul she could handle anything Craig threw her way. Two seconds later, a needy Craig dialed her cell!

Katie dropped by the Hughes haven to see Tom, who was watching The Price is Right (Aw! Bob Barker!). She wanted to file for divorce from Mike and who better than her legal eagle bro-in-law to help? At the farm, Jack questioned the kids about their ice cream date with "Gwen," and then JJ opened up about not being able to give Katie a chance "because of Mom." Speaking of that devil, Gwen gave her a warm welcome home. "Filing for divorce is something I'm doing for myself," Katie told Tom, suspecting Mike hadn't wanted to hurt her by filing first. Jack and JJ had a heart to heart about how loving Carly didn't mean JJ didn't love Julia and that love wouldn't change. "What about you?" JJ asked Jack. Meanwhile, at Chez Munson, Carly sang Simon's praises to Gwen, sure he'd come through so she could be with her kids. Back at Chez Hughes, Tom wanted to make sure that Katie was sure. Yup! She thanked her "fabulous brother-in-law," and then left Jack a message about being done with "that thing."

JJ prophetically wondered how Jack would feel if/when Carly returned (Who does he think he is? Parker?) Elsewhere, Gwen gave Carly a cautionary tale about messes and selfishness and then Carly asked her to help Cleo. Gwen was boggled by this request. "She's insane!" she declared, even as Carly explained how Cleo had helped her. "Will you help me, please?" Carly implored. Jack told JJ the condensed version of the CarJack breakup story and revealed he's debating selling the Milltown house because Carly isn't coming back. "All you're asking is for me to give Katie a chance," JJ concluded very maturely. At Carly's behest, Gwen called Jack to chat at the station. As for herself, Carly planned to get on the next bus outta town and "come back when all's clear." Gwen wasn't havin' it. She wanted her big sis in town and laying low. When Katie came by the farm to see Jack, JJ apologized for being a twerp at Al's and asked her to come see a new foal. Aw! Moments later, Carly arrived and peered into the Snyder kitchen. Over at the OPD, Gwen told Jack she wanted to pay kooky Cleo's bail. Jack gave Gwen a "you so crazy" look (must be a Snyder family thing) and demanded Gwen tell him what had changed her stance on Cleo. Carly watched Sage and Parker chat over sandwiches and listened to Parker say he didn't miss her (Ouch!). She ducked when JJ and Katie approached.

"Crystal meth is nasty," sighed Mr. Donovan at Dr. Dusty's Lakeview Detox Camp before urging Emily to get some sleep. Emily noted that Susan would think they were "locked up in some love nest together." Unfortunately, Jesse the dealer interrupted what could've been a fuzzy moment and Dusty had to boot him out. Dusty then told Em that Ali's detox would be a long process — which meant they'd be seeing a lot more of each other. (Susan wouldn't be the only one pleased.) Back in Ali's room, they found the junkie quite literally on a ledge. Cue Dusty trying to talk her down and her laughing at him for thinking she was suicidal like Emily. She wasn't laughing when she slipped, though. Dusty grabbed her and heroically pulled her up. Instead of being grateful, Ali sniped at Emily and her "enforcer." Of course, then Dallas burst in investigating a jumper. "Was somebody out there or not?" Alison claimed she'd been playing a joke. "Don't play with your life," Dallas advised before leaving. ("Dallison," anyone?) Emily put Ali back to bed, assuring her she was strong enough for this. Then, when Emily offered Dr. Dusty an out, he gallantly assured her he's not going anywhere.

Maddie began her internship at WOAK for the summer, hearing from Kim that a new guy, Noah, would be joining soon. Maddie told Kim that Casey was "totally cut off" in prison. Kim suggested Maddie write letters, even if she didn't send them. Meanwhile, intern #2 Luke showed up and was put on über-crucial lunch order duty. He hoped that Jade wouldn't be a source of discord between him and Maddie. Later, at Al's, Maddie assured Luke she wouldn't hold Jade against him. Of course, then Liv came up to rave about their senior prom. "Casey can't take Maddie and you're...you," the insensitive teen realized too late. Once the little brat was gone, Maddie wondered if Liv and Kevin going to prom bothered Luke. Luke assured her he was mostly over the Kevin thing. He was more annoyed about missing out on prom and Maddie was in the same (albeit slightly criminal) boat. Maddie then suggested they hit the bash together! Luke agreed and they hugged on it.

Henry caught up with Katie and realized that Jack was "why you look so dreamy." Katie was afraid to "go for it," though. Jack was demanding Cleo 'fess up while an impatient Gwen wondered whether or not he'd arrested her doppelgänger yet. Henry assured Katie that she wouldn't ruin Jack's life. "I think you should be kissing more and talking about kissing less." In turn, Katie got him to open up about Vienna and resolved to quit being selfish. At the OPD, Dallas incensed Gwen and Will further by saying he'd run into Cleo-as-Gwen. At the motel, Cleo trumped up a tearful excuse about needing to cozy up to Gwen's family. As Carly listened in, Jack slapped on the cuffs and Mirandized Cleo for kidnapping and false impersonation. Freaked, Carly bolted out of Cleo's room and then had to make excuses to the manager. Back at the Lakeview, Henry talked to "Bubbles" about letting go of Mike before she moved on with Jack. Meanwhile, Jack brought Cleo into the station. Gwen had Cleo take off that sketchy blond wig and then laid down the law about messing with the kids' heads. Gwen was ready to throw her to the OPD wolves but Cleo pleaded with her not to leave. Cleo asked Gwen to trust her. As pleas went, it was a stinker. Gwen walked out. Elsewhere, Henry advised Katie, "It's better to have loved and lost, yadda yadda," as they talked about divorcing Mike and pursuing Jack. Back at the station, Cleo used her one phone call to call an unresponsive Jade and then Katie told Jack she was nearly ready to go on their "adult date." Across town, Gwen had a visitor: Carly!

As Dusty smooched Emily in the hallway, a shocked Susan teased them to "get a room!" and then beamed over their relationship. Of course, Ali knocked over something inside. Dusty said it was a dangerous source — "Scary Harry, something of a mean drunk" — and Em guided Susan away. Cue Dr. Detox (Dusty) scaring Alison straight! Time passed (but only in the room, not elsewhere in Oakdale) as she suffered the shakes and threw up. Downstairs, Susan told Emily, "I like Dusty," marveling at Em's improved taste in men. Em tried to minimize her mom's glee and the inevitable wedding planning. Upstairs, Ali moved on to yet another stage of detox — planting a kiss on your counselor. When that bombed, she dished up some blackmail: do what she wanted or Em would find naked Ali all over him. Not havin' it, Dusty dumped the scantily-clad slut into the shower. When Emily returned, she tried to comfort her sis (now in the tearful and hungry phase of withdrawal). We're riding this one out," she assured and climbed into bed with her. Dusty returned to find Em singing Ali a lullaby.

At the OPD, Gwen and Will wanted to talk to Jack and not Margo about a pressing issue. Fortunately for them (but not for Jack), Margo called Det. Snyder in. Carly, meanwhile, returned to the Wagon Wheel to strip off her funny hat and ask Cleo to impersonate Gwen and get the goods on Jack's state of mind. Meanwhile, Will and Gwen told Jack all about Gwen's eccentric double wandering around. Freaked, he called to make sure the kids were okay. Back at the motel, Cleo was in full-on Gwen mode as Carly told her what to ask Jack. It was so creepy that Carly finally seemed to realize something was up. Of course, that's when Jack (fresh off Will and Gwen's report) knocked on the door. He saw right through Cleo's Gwen act. As Carly listened in from the bathroom, Ms. Babbitt claimed to have a perfectly good explanation for it.

Nan, the waitress at Al's, questioned Jack about his love life and then gave him the heads up about Al's higher unsavory element quotient. Speaking of unsavory elements... yup, Nan spied Carly lurking outside! Jack went out to investigate and somehow missed Carly ducking behind a trash can. Back inside, Katie wasn't quite feeling Jack's favorite dessert, but they were definitely feeling each other. Jack wanted to chuck the sugar in favor of being "totally alone." He and Katie raced to the door! Margo's call nipped the amorous exit in the bud and they headed to the OPD...where Margo caught them necking in the middle of the squad room! "Are you reading her her rights?" Margo wondered, stiffly. When Jack went to see Gwen and Will, Katie asked her big sis what was up. Prickly Margo insulted Katie's cooking on their way out to lunch. Back at Chez Hughes, Katie didn't take kindly to Margo's lectures — until Margo outlined the risks to Jack and the kids. "I need to be responsible and think for the both of us," Katie concluded.

Luke dished out pancakes at the farm and Faith even had a serving, but that wasn't the happiest event — that was Lily coming home from rehab early! Everybody was thrilled except for a quiet Faith. Lily sat down to reassure her "beautiful" daughter and take responsibility for Faith's self-image issues. Faith finally admitted that she wanted Lily's help and they hugged. (Aw!) After Lily packed the whole brood off for school, she admitted to Holden that she felt "fragile." "We are all behind you," Holden assured, supportively. "We all stumble, but I have faith in you." Then, he picked her up and carried her inside for some long-awaited lovin'. "Easy, tiger!" she laughed.

At the Lakeview, Emily made excuses about Alison to Susan as Dusty wandered the halls and heard Ali and Jesse doing some pre-sex planning. Uh-oh. Alison popped in some pornographic inspiration for her dealer and they acted on it. When Susan went off to make a house call in the hotel, Dusty gave Em a heads-up. They snagged a passkey from Lisa and burst in on Ali's romp. Dusty tossed Jesse out on his skeevy rear and Emily blasted Ali for staying hooked on meth. Dr. Dusty immediately prescribed rehab. Ali threatened to run away if they told Susan about her hijinks. Okay, there was another option: Dr. Dusty's Detox! Hilariously, just the mere mention of detox made Alison crash from her high. When Dusty and Em moved to the hall to talk, Dusty dragged Em into his arms and kissed her passionately — because Susan had just walked up.

In Old Town, Gwen and Will were shocked when Emma told them of Gwen and Sage's ice cream date. At Al's, Parker told Sage and JJ that he saw Jack and Katie playing "tonsil hockey." As the grown-ups were asked to confirm said hockey match, Carly visited Cleo. Gwen and Will quickly covered for Cleo "running around town impersonating you to your family." Gwen wanted to confront Cleo rather than call the cops. Back at the Wagon Wheel, Carly asked Cleo for the 411 on Jack. Cleo handed over some wigs and clothes so Carly could spy on Jack unencumbered and she admitted she was back to see her kids. "I'm getting the feeling it's more about your ex," Cleo concluded. Meanwhile, Jack and Katie tried to explain the whole kissing/dating issue but snarky Parker made things difficult, which led to JJ running out. Elsewhere, Carly told Cleo that Simon was getting her out of "this mess." She just had to stay out of sight for now. As Gwen arrived, Cleo stashed a Carmen Sandiego hat and coat-clad Carly in the bathroom. "This is not okay. It's sick," Gwen told Cleo about her Gwen-like shenanigans. Outside Al's, Jack talked frankly to JJ about Carly and Katie (and Julia, too). Inside, Parker warned Katie about ending up with "the stepkids from hell." Katie assured him she wasn't applying for stepmother, just "friend." After the kids went off to school, Jack mused that breakfast had gone "great." At the no-tell motel, Cleo refused to admit why she was wandering around in Gwen mode and then shooed Carly off to see Jack. Jack was blushingly hopeful about his and Katie's future and a spying Carly just narrowly missed them kissing.
