Phoebe chattered to a distracted and sullen Taylor about what it's like seeing Rick again. Ridge came to pick up his daughter for the engagement party and offered to drive Taylor, too. Taylor glumly explained to her ex-husband that she and Thorne had split up. Taylor went to visit Nick at work and asked if he was in the mood ... for wings. Extra hot. Of course he was!

Brooke entered a shirtless Rick's room to again ask that he sing at the engagement party. He declined once more. Downstairs, a gussied-up Pam wowed Stephanie and Eric in her fancy Forrester Originals dress and jewelry. Pam felt awkward in the pricey threads, but Eric insisted that she wear it.

When Ridge got to the Forrester manse, he and Brooke dressed for the soirée and he badmouthed Rick's attitude. He griped about the way his daughter raves about his fianceés son. Brooke thought it was cute that Phoebe has a little crush, but Ridge wanted it nipped in the bud. In the meantime, Phoebe entered Rick's room for help with her zipper. Rick zipped her up and the vented about his total displeasure with his mom marrying her dad again.

Once the party was underway, Ridge warned Rick to stay away from Phoebe. When Ridge referred to Eric as his own dad, Rick haughtily pointed out that Massimo is Ridge's birth father, while Rick is actually Eric's biological son. So there. At Brooke's request, the musicians began playing "Unforgettable." Brooke ignored her son's previous repeated refusals to sing and publicly pressured him into doing just that. He agreed — as long as Phoebe accompanied him. A soaring duet ensued.

Afterward, Felicia and Bridget chirped over how Phoebe gazed at Rick and how cute they look together. Ridge grumbled. Outside, the songbirds shared a cozy chat until Phoebe was summoned back into the mansion. Ridge came up behind Rick and hissed between clenched teeth that if Rick wants to defy him, he can do it face-to-face, but not by using Phoebe. Go near her again and I'll kill you, Ridge warned his soon-to-be stepson.

Brooke was surprised to hear Rick singing opera while he was lifting weights. She raved about his talent but he asked her not to tell anybody. Brooke still asked Rick to sing at her engagement party. "I'm going to show up tonight with a big smile on my face and that's the only performance you're getting out of me," Rick chuckled.

Stephanie was impressed by the new digs for Forrester Originals. "Marone can't compete with us," she grinned. While everyone was munching on sandwiches, Ridge explained to his mother that Rick could be a problem. Ridge was disturbed when Phoebe defended Rick. "Nothing bad is going to happen just because we are friends," she assured.

Thorne told Taylor that Alexandria is still having trouble accepting Taylor. He said he needed to spend more time with his little girl — alone. "She is your daughter and needs to come first," Taylor sobbed and they agreed to split up. Thorne offered to still escort Taylor to Ridge and Brooke's engagement party but she declined.

In his quest to siphon off more distributors from Forrester Originals, Nick told Jackie they needed to corner the Asian market which meant making a deal with Yvette. He told his mother to get in touch with Yvette and Jackie was able to arrange a meeting. Nick later visited Stephanie at her new showroom. "When you least expect it, I'm going to get you," he warned but Stephanie laughed at his threat.

Brooke and Ridge fretted about having dinner with Rick, since he’s not a big Ridge fan these days. Phoebe arrived, surprising Brooke, who was happy to have the company to take the edge off. Rick came home drunk with a bloody nose and said he was at a leather bar in Silver Lake.

Eric opened up to Pamela about his relationship with Stephanie and said he owed Pam for making him feel so comfortable and like a man again. Steph arrived home to a delicious aroma. When she saw how well Pam was treating Eric, she fretted that he may not have noticed she was gone. Steph was further shocked to hear about Ridge and Brooke’s engagement party. Pam then filled in her sis about Jackie’s thwarted seduction attempt. Steph hugged her sister and thanked her for her vigilance with Eric. Pam went to bed. Steph asked if Eric was still angry with her. He said he came to some conclusions while she was gone, and admitted that he doesn't get enough of what he needs from his wife. He would like some attention and appreciation. Steph was taken aback. Eric demanded that she stop thinking of him as weak. “Stop these elaborate schemes and plots of yours,” he added. She asked Eric if he was in love with Jackie. He dodged the question but asked if they could start again. She agreed and they hugged by the fire as a wistful Pam watched them from upstairs.

At dinner, Rick confessed he didn’t know it was a leather bar and he got into the fight accidentally. Rick informed Ridge that several of their foreign employees defected to Marrone Industries. As the men squabbled, Brooke changed the topic to Hope. Then, the subject of Nick came up and Rick commented that it’s no surprise that Nick is out for revenge, considering what the Forresters did to him. Rick said it seems like there’s unfinished business between his mom and Nick. Ridge and Brooke refused to say what ended her union to Nick, so Rick left the table in a huff. Phoebe suggested her dad cut Rick some slack and she left, too. Brooke refused to let her son know that his sister was the reason her marriage fizzled. Ridge went up to bed.

In the garden, Phoebe caught up with Rick and he asked her what happened between Nick and Brooke. Phoebe told the truth that she didn’t know. When Phoebe talked about the time she put gum in her sister’s hair, Rick joked that that must be why Steffi hasn't come home. The pair stretched out on the grass to look at the stars. Rick said the Big Dipper looks different in the U.S. In the house, Brooke told Ridge she’d be up to join him soon. Brooke then walked to the patio and spied Rick and Phoebe looking at the stars and smiled.

After dropping Hope off with Brooke, Nick became angry when Brooke suggested they may still be married if he had given her more. He claimed he made lots of concessions in their relationship and voiced his pain over watching Ridge propose to her on TV. "How much do you want to hurt me back?" he asked. Brooke claimed that Nick was still precious to her, but he wasn't moved. "I just wish I could forget," she sighed. Nick was still perplexed how the man who gave her so much misery was now making her so happy. "Don't bother inviting me to the wedding," he huffed. "It'll make me cry. After saying she will always carry a part of him, they parted.

Eric and Pamela bonded while playing Scrabble. "It's really been wonderful for all of us having you here," he commented and suggested she stay longer. Pam reminded her brother-in-law that it was time for her to go back to Chicago since Stephanie was returning home soon. Pam also pointed out that Stephanie loved him very much. Eric lauded Pam for making his house feel like a home and urged her to stay for Ridge and Brooke's engagement party. Pam said she couldn't, but Eric insisted and she gave in. Pam was surprised when she had a daydream about Eric kissing her.

While Phoebe was practicing her walk down the runway, Rick commented that Walked like a Clydesdale. He then groused about Ridge and Brooke getting married. Phoebe said she had her doubts too, but was convinced that her dad and Brooke are meant to be together. Rick then pointed out to a confused Phoebe that they weren't related.

Brooke and Ridge passionately made out at the office, but she broke away to talk about the Forrester Originals show and their upcoming engagement party. Ridge tried to distract her with a lot of purring, but they were interrupted by Phoebe. Brooke made up a story to get Ridge out of the room and chatted with Phoebe. Saying she couldn't model forever, Brooke told Phoebe she'd like her to be the future face of Forrester.

Rick and Ridge encountered each other. Rick took Ridge to task over the loss of Forrester Creations and having to let go of so many of his employees in Europe. He also blasted Ridge for the way Jackie was publicly humiliated and his feud with Nick. Rick noted that he got along just fine with Nick and added that so did Brooke — until Ridge broke things up. Ridge advised Rick not to focus on his resentment toward him and to think about making the new company great. Rick expressed doubts that Forrester Originals would succeed and stormed out as Brooke entered.

Rick overheard Phoebe singing to herself and praised her voice. As she modeled a dress in the mirror, he griped about leaving Paris. She talked up L.A., claiming it's just as sophisticated with museums and all and added that Arnie is governor and he's from Europe.... Yeah, well the two bonded.

Ridge filled Brooke in about how bitter Rick is. Brooke said that Rick might be right about not underestimating Nick, but Ridge was quite cocky and sure that Marone posed no threat. In the meantime, Nick conducted a tense business meeting with a Forrester Originals distributor, who he tried to buy out. Brooke showed up to talk to Nick, but was intercepted by Jackie, who kept Brooke distracted. When Brooke got suspicious about Nick's closed-door meeting, she asked if he was with Taylor. Jackie maintained that Nick wants her, not Taylor. A triumphant Nick strolled in, announcing that a celebration is in order. Brooke demanded to know what he was celebrating.
