B&B Recaps Week of February 5, 2007Friday, February 9, 2007 At Forrester Originals, Phoebe modeled a dress for Eric, who noted that she seems happier. Phoebe told Eric that Shane is out of her life. Eric said it was for the best, and said anyone would be better for her than him. In another office, Ridge expressed his concerns about Phoebe and Rick to Stephanie, who wasn't that concerned, until Ridge insinuated that there may be something more going on between them. Stephanie surmised that Phoebe probably has a "cute" crush on Rick, but Ridge didn't find it cute. Ridge remarked that Brooke doesn't see the danger in a Rick/Phoebe pairing. Stephanie offered to talk to Brooke and intermediate. As she prepared to knock on Brooke's door, Stephanie overheard Brooke express her support to Rick on whatever he chooses to do. "What did you just tell your son?" blurted Stephanie upon entering. Brooke downplayed the Rick/Phoebe scenario. Stephanie persisted and warned Brooke that Rick and Phoebe can't cross certain lines, and criticized Brooke's minimalist parenting style. Brooke became enraged and their conversation escalated. Brooke pointed out that it's taken her and Stephanie years to reach this point where they are both civil to each other. Brooke insisted she doesn't want to jeopardize that, but declared that she won't allow her or anyone to interfere in her children's lives.
En route to their meeting with Harvey Golden, Nick and Storm planned their strategy. Storm cautioned Nick that the government may look at Nick's business machinations as setting up a monopoly. Storm was concerned when Nick insisted on meeting Harvey alone. Nick entered a darkened warehouse where one of Golden's associates introduced himself from the shadows. Nick spoke to Harvey on speakerphone. Using a digitally altered voice, Harvey tipped his hand and told Nick he knows what Nick's master plan is. Harvey offered to sell his stores to Nick, but warned him he would be asking a very high "price" — and not just money....
Thursday, February 8, 2007 After Rick took Phoebe home, she expressed guilt over how she handled the Shane situation, and admitted that she only went out with Shane to see how Rick would react. An embarrassed Phoebe said she felt she'd made a fool of herself, and ask Rick to go. She then told him she didn't really want him to go. After a heart-to-heart Rick told Phoebe how beautiful he thinks she is, and how endearing her inferiority complex is, and how much he's into her. Brooke quietly observed them as Rick sweetly hugged Phoebe as they sat on a bench in the garden. Stephanie grilled Eric for interfering in her family's business. She asked Eric why he wants Pam to stick around. Eric explained how much she blossomed when she was in L.A. Eric told Stephanie to accept that her family is relocating to L.A. and to welcome them with open arms. Stephanie told Eric he's placed her in an "untenable situation" and she resented it. They returned to Pam and Ann, and Stephanie reluctantly welcomed Ann to L.A. Ann said she loved the idea of moving closer to her family, but there was one problem — she didn't think she could drive anywhere on her own. Ann got Eric to throw in a car and driver and a new wardrobe, while a horrified Stephanie looked on. Later, Pam broke down and tearfully thanked Eric for changing her life for the better. As Eric comforted her Stephanie observed them from the upstairs landing.
Wednesday, February 7, 2007 Phoebe bonded with another model, Jenna, who suggested she work on her posture with some yoga classes, and got some light gossip on Rick's respectable rep in Paris. When Jenna went to get a pen from Rick's jacket, she found his ticket back to Paris for the next day. Rick, meanwhile, was having a meeting with Shane, who said he'd rather be meeting with Phoebe. Shane referred to Ridge misjudging him and standing in the way of his relationship with her, which Rick could relate to, but he still seemed off put by the guy. Just when Shane was saying Phoebe would want to see him, she walked in ready to give it to Rick about the ticket. Shane bragged about his new job and then invited her out to eat. Rick said it wasn't his business and when she gave him a chance to stop her, he didn't. Before leaving with Shane, she pointedly asked if she's see him tomorrow and he said he would. At dinner, Shane talked shop and Phoebe pretended to be interested. When she ordered light, he took offense and said he could afford whatever she wanted. She was proud of him, but wasn't feeling the love connection. Then, curiously, Rick came in with Jenna. Shane, who was talking about finding his birth parents, stopped mid-sentence to ask Phoebe why she was staring at her "cousin." She quickly clarified that Rick was not her cousin. Shane clued in that she wasn't interested in him and she apologized. Then she went to the bathroom and Rick stopped her. He made small talk, but she brushed him off, saying, "Have a nice life." He followed and explained that he'd only given Jenna a ride to meet her beau. He then admitted he also wanted to make sure Shane behaved. She angrily pulled the ticket out of his pocket, but he just ripped it in half, saying he'd canceled it. When she asked why, he said, "You can't figure that out?" Eric held Pam back from finishing up her packing and said there was a limo coming. Stephanie arrived then and the sisters said their goodbyes, but then Eric announced that Pam wasn't leaving. The ladies argued the idea, even though Pam didn't want to go back. Then the limo arrived and instead of picking her up, it dropped off their mother! Eric looked on proudly as Ann announced, "I'm not at all sure I'm ready to move to Los Angeles, but since Eric offered, this selfish old witch thought it might be impolite not to come take a look." While Eric offered her an ocean view condo, she nitpicked, needled and bickered with her daughters. Pam pretended to hit her over the head out of frustration, which Ann called her on. When Eric suggested Pam move into the guest house, her mom liked the idea. "Would having a life of your own be so terrible?" she asked, and Pam said it wouldn't be. When Stephanie and Eric took a moment alone, he explained it was their turn to take care of Ann. Steph didn't like that he made a decision without her and asked what was "really" going on.
Tuesday, February 6, 2007 Stephanie ran back and reported her sighting of Yvette to Ridge. Stephanie expressed her worry about the look she saw in Yvette's eyes. Stephanie had a heart-to-heart with Phoebe, and asked her if she's happy to be involved with the family business. Phoebe said she was. Stephanie then asked her how things are with Shane. Phoebe said Shane was intriguing but not "the one." Phoebe asked her how someone knows when they have found "the one." Stephanie said it's easy to tell when you've found "the one," just as she did with Eric. Grandmother and granddaughter shared a tender but light moment. Stephanie asked Phoebe her impressions of Rick, then said she can tell that she's on the cusp of becoming a woman. Steph told Phoebe how proud she is of her. Plagued by doubts fanned by Bridget, Phoebe was turned off by Rick's overtures. Rick remained puzzled by her abrupt change in attitude. Rick flashed back to Ridge's threat to kill him if he ever "crosses the line" with Phoebe. Brooke arrived and thanked him for singing at her party last night. Rick told Brooke about Ridge's threat. Brooke was horrified. Brooke recalled how Phoebe had a recent bad experience with Shane, but said that still didn't give Ridge the right to threaten Rick. Brooke thought Phoebe's crush on Rick was a good thing, as it would help her set her sights higher in the man department, and encouraged Rick to spend more quality time with Phoebe. After Rick left Ridge arrived. Brooke asked him if it was true that he threatened to kill Rick if he got too close to Phoebe. Ridge admitted he said it, and added that he meant it. Brooke flipped out while Ridge tried to backpeddle and say it was only an "expression." Ridge insisted that nothing good would come from their kids getting closer. Brooke insisted there's no "attraction" between their kids, but said their children, and their family, must become close and unified. Brooke put her foot down and insisted she won't allow their budding family to be divided by threats and ultimatums. Ridge backed down and apologized, but said he wouldn't support a relationship between their kids. When Ridge pushed for limits between their kids, Brooke recoiled and insisted that they be supportive of their kids' interest in each other. She waited for Ridge's agreement....
Monday, February 5, 2007 At Forrester Creations, Jackie and Nick welcomed Yvette, an important European distributor. Nick outed Yvette's poor financial position and presented her with what he felt was a generous offer considering her circumstances. Nick told her she had a week to consider his offer before he rescinds it. Nick then upped the pressure and got her to sign the sales agreement for her boutiques. Shortly thereafter Stephanie dropped by for an unannounced visit to check up on "the competition." Stephanie coyly asked Nick, who was puffing away on a celebratory cigar, about the document he was hiding behind his back. As Stephanie grilled Nick and Jackie, Yvette returned to the office. Stephanie and Yvette were shocked to see each other there. Steph turned her attention to Yvette, and pumped her to divulge what she was doing there, as Nick and Jackie looked on.
