Rick told Phoebe how happy he is that they can finally show their feelings toward each other without having to worry about hiding them any more. Ashley walked by just then and observed them kissing. Phoebe then joined Bridget and Ashley in the testing lab to smell some of the scents Ashley has been working on. After Bridget excused herself from the meeting, Ashley and Phoebe spoke about Rick. Phoebe gushed about how he's the right man for her, while Ashley suggested that maybe she shouldn't settle down too soon. After Phoebe left Ashley pulled a photo of her and Rick in Paris from her filing cabinet. She daydreamed and had a fond flashback to her time in Paris with Rick. Bridget returned and slightly startled Ashley, who dropped the photo on the floor. Bridget picked it up and looked at it and asked Ashley if something is going on between her and her brother.

Taylor's nurse dropped off a delivery from the pharmacy for Taylor — a home pregnancy test. Rick then stopped by to talk to Taylor. Taylor told him she doesn't condone what Ridge did, but does agree with his viewpoint. Rick tried to win over Taylor by reassuring her of his feelings for Phoebe and his desire to respect her and not hurt her. Taylor expressed his appreciation for his comments, but said she's worried he may not be that different from his mother, insofar as Brooke is not respecting her own relationship with Nick. Rick insisted that Phoebe is so precious to him, and asked Taylor to not let her feelings towards his mother color her opinion of his relationship with Phoebe. Rick sensed that he was beginning to sway Taylor's opinion, and returned to tell Phoebe the good news. Rick inadvertently dropped the bombshell that her mom was trying to have a baby with Nick. The two of them argued over whether Nick belonged with his mother or her mother.

Nick laid down the ground rules to Brooke — he wants to keep Forrester strictly a place for business. Brooke told him she wants to rectify past mistakes between them, which she's hopeful they can do, unless Taylor is already pregnant. "I'm hoping she is," Nick sniffed. When Nick's secretary buzzed to alert him of an upcoming conference call, Brooke answered the line and told him to hold all of Nick's calls until further notice. Brooke insisted they can go back and rebuild things on a solid foundation. Nick said they can't go back. Brooke said the lyrics to the song he wrote for her prove that they can "go back again." Nick insisted he loves Taylor and wants to marry her. Brooke asked Nick if Taylor can make him as happy as she makes him. Taylor eavesdropped on their conversation and overheard Nick turn Brooke down flat once more. When Nick left the office Taylor barged in and confronted Brooke for her continued gall in trying to break up her and Nick.

Stephanie told Bridget that her mother has exhausted all the men in her family and now she's after Nick. Steph asked Bridget for her help in stopping Brooke from interfering in Taylor and Nick's relationship. Bridget refused to becoming a partner in any of Stephanie's scheming, but did concede she hopes that if Nick and Taylor do break up it's before kids have entered the equation.

Brooke flashed back to her time with Ridge in Australia. Rick arrived and told her that things with the press went as well as could be expected, despite calling off the wedding. Rick encouraged his mom to pick up the pieces with Nick, but Brooke told him she already tried and it was a no-go. Rick encouraged Brooke to break up Nick and Taylor before they have a child. "Nick loves you, you belong together," Rick told his mom. Jackie tried to encourage Nick to reconcile with Brooke now that she's a free woman, but Nick was having none of it. "I'm nobody's revolving door," he deadpanned. Jackie cited how Brooke ran right to Nick when she returned from Australia. Nick dismissed her actions as impulse, not true desire. Taylor barged in just as Nick was professing his interest and commitment to Taylor. Taylor politely put a red-faced Jackie in her place, and asked Jackie to support her relationship with Nick. After Jackie left his office, Nick and Taylor got cozy and kissed. After Taylor left Rick arrived and went to bat for his mother. Rick told Nick how Brooke couldn't stop talking and thinking about Nick on the flight back to Australia and how Nick is the only man in his mother's heart.

Taylor paid Brooke a visit to defend Ridge's actions. "He struck my son!" Brooke whined. Taylor put Brooke on notice and told her that while she put up with Brooke disrespecting her relationship with Ridge, she won't stand back and allow Brooke to disrespect her relationship with Nick. Brooke told Taylor she doesn't want to argue with her; Taylor said there's nothing to argue about. Taylor tried to reason with Brooke about how she shouldn't throw away everything she has with Ridge because of one unfortunate incident involving Rick. Taylor became exasperated when Brooke seemed incapable of recognizing what she's giving up. An annoyed Taylor told Brooke it was impossible to reason with a "disordered person." She warned Brooke to keep away from her and Nick, and to live her chaotic life by herself. After Taylor left, Brooke dolled herself up and made a beeline to Nick's office, barging past his secretary. "What do you want?" Nick asked her. "You..." Brooke cooed.

Taylor asked Nick point-blank if he felt anything for Brooke when she threw herself at him. Nick said yes — he felt fear, about the past repeating itself. Nick was worried and concerned about his present and future with Taylor. Taylor was reassured by Nick's words, and told Nick she believes him when he told her he had nothing to do with Brooke showing up on his doorstep. Nick and Taylor resolved not to get drawn into Brooke and Ridge's melodrama, and declared that whatever Brooke and Ridge do has nothing to do with them anymore.

At Forrester Originals, Rick warned Phoebe that their parents aren't likely to reconcile this time as they have in the past. Phoebe insisted their parents belong together, and expressed guilt and responsibility for their break up. The two discussed their own relationship, and Rick declared that he loves her and doesn't care who knows. The two kissed gently as they resolved to proceed with their relationship. Meanwhile, Ridge broke the news to Felicia that his wedding to Brooke is off. Felicia consoled her brother and expressed doubt that it was really over. In another office, Stephanie admonished Brooke for her machinations, and told Brooke that she's run out of luck with both Nick and Ridge. "You've overplayed your hand with both of them," Stephanie declared. Stephanie told Brooke she and Rick should clean out their offices. Brooke was insulted at the idea of leaving the company, and reminded Stephanie that she had gone into debt along with everyone else to make Forrester Originals succeed. Brooke blamed Stephanie for everything that went wrong between her and Ridge. As they argued Felicia walked in and blurted out that Ridge was on the roof getting some air to clear his head. Brooke ran after him, and Stephanie was annoyed the Felicia told Brooke her whereabouts. Felicia accused her mother of being cold and cruel where Brooke and Ridge's relationship problems are concerned. Stephanie said it was better for Ridge and Brooke to split up now than a month after they were married.

On the roof, Ridge accused Brooke of not loving him anymore. Brooke insisted that love like theirs doesn't disappear so easily. Ridge then asked how Brooke could run back to Nick so easily. Brooke fumbled for an answer, and defended her actions by pointing out how inexplicable Ridge's actions were when he slugged her son. Brooke surmised that a gulf of irreconcilable differences now separate them, such that they are no longer able to communicate on the same wavelength. Both of them expressed regret and remorse for how things ended up, while Ridge remained bewildered by how close things came to working out before everything fell apart. Ridge asked Brooke to help him make sure RJ will be OK with everything, and left a tearful Brooke alone on the dark and breezy roof to contemplate everything that had happened.

Taylor interrupted Brooke's attempt to seduce Nick. She was stunned when Brooke announced the wedding was off and she and Ridge were through. Taylor expressed her condolences to Brooke, but said that didn't give her the right to "come over here and molest Nick." Taylor admonished Brooke for her erratic behavior, and announced that she might be pregnant with Nick's child. As Nick showed Brooke the door, Taylor thanked Brooke for reminding them of the "insanity they left behind." On her way out, Brooke continued to desperately plead her case to Nick, but he wasn't having any of it. Nick told her to go home and get some sleep to put everything back into perspective with Ridge. Nick turned down her offer to go somewhere and talk. Brooke tearfully apologized and asked for another chance: "Just tell me that you love me," she begged. "I'm sorry," Nick whispered. A defeated Brooke finally took the hint and left. After he got rid of her, Nick flashed back to past moments with Brooke until Taylor joined him downstairs. Taylor warned Nick that Brooke won't stop until she gets what she wants — and right now what she wants is him. Taylor said her feelings for Nick haven't changed, and all she needs now is to hear Nick express his feelings to her....

Ashley offered a sympathetic ear to Ridge, who lamented what happened with Brooke because of his altercation with Rick. Ash admitted how much she misses her late father, John, and suggested that Ridge appreciate what he has with Eric. Ridge coyly suggested that Ashley speak to Brooke for him to try to get through to her, applauding Ms. Abbott's "common sense." Stephanie arrived and asked Ridge if he's heard from Brooke. When he said no, she assured that eventually he'll discover that there is life after Brooke. Stephanie advised him it's time to cut his losses with Brooke, focus on his friends and family, and move on. Then she called Taylor to warn her that "Brooke is on the loose." Taylor informed her that her warning was too little, too late. Stephanie reveled in the news of Brooke's latest machinations, but broke the news gently to a crestfallen Ridge. "You don't want to know," Stephanie warned Ridge when he pressed for the gory details. "I just can't believe it's over," Ridge sighed. Stephanie consoled her son, and later confronted Brooke and made fun of her unsuccessful seduction of Nick.

Over tea, Jackie expressed her approval to Taylor of her relationship with Nick. Taylor remained skeptical, but was charmed by Jackie's declaration that Taylor was able to totally eclipse Brooke in Nick's mind and heart. Jackie added that the prospect of them having a child further helped sway Jackie's mind.

When Ashley spotted the cut on Rick's forehead and learned from Rick how he got it, she suggested that maybe he got what he deserved. Rick insisted that he and Phoebe were spending innocent time together when Ridge caught them and went ballistic. Ashley expressed her disapproval of Rick and Phoebe's relationship and the problems it's causing everyone. Ashley was shocked to learn that Brooke broke up with Ridge over the whole mess. Rick was upset that Ashley seemed annoyed by the whole thing.

Stephanie supported Ridge in his actions with Rick. Ridge informed her that Brooke broke off their engagement. Stephanie insisted the whole mess is Brooke's fault, and reiterated her feeling that Ridge did the right thing. Ridge became annoyed when Stephanie expressed her happiness at the news that he wouldn't be marrying Brooke. Ridge told Stephanie to go away if she can't be supportive of him right now, so she left. Ridge tried calling Brooke but got her voicemail. Ashley overheard Ridge's voicemail plea to Brooke. Ms. Abbott sweetly reassured Ridge that everything would be OK.

"I'm back and I'm all yours," whispered Brooke, who hugged a disbelieving Nick. "Don't," Nick commanded after she kissed his neck. Nick dismissed her advances as being a knee-jerk reaction from being upset and tired from the long flight, and insisted she go home and get some rest. Brooke asked him to hear her out. Brooke declared that what happened in Sydney was appalling and really opened her eyes to Ridge. Brooke conceded that Nick was right all along about Ridge and Stephanie. Brooke insisted that she and Ridge wouldn't get married, ever. She declared she made a mistake by walking out on their relationship and that she's here for Nick now. Nick reminded her that he's moved on with his life. Brooke conceded how inappropriate this seems, but insisted it doesn't matter. Brooke apologized for leaving him before. "It's too late," Nick insisted. "It's NOT too late," Brooke countered, as she made all sorts of declarations to him. "I've heard it all before," Nick snorted. Brooke told him she loved him. Nick said he's sick of her words...so Brooke did her best to speak the language she knows he likes. She ripped his shirt open, pushed him back on the bed and straddled him. "Brooke?! What on earth are you doing?!" yelled a flabbergasted Taylor from the doorway.
