Ridge and Stephanie debated the merits and risks of him confessing versus letting Nick take the rap for Shane's murder. "Believe me, Nick will get what he deserves," Stephanie suggested.

Rick suggested to Phoebe that they get a change of scenery for the weekend at a place up the coast, and showed her brochures. Phoebe got the sense that Rick wanted to use the trip to have sex, and asked him. Rick conceded that he had that as a possibility in his mind. Phoebe reminded him that they agreed to wait on sex. Rick asked her exactly how long she intended to wait. Phoebe said she wanted to wait until they were committed to each other. Rick said that he thought he was already committed to her and had already demonstrated that commitment. When Phoebe was at a loss for words, Rick asked her what he needs to do to prove his commitment. Should they get engaged? Phoebe was confused and admitted she's too young to get married. Their conversation was interrupted by a call from Lt. Baker, who asked Phoebe to meet him at the Forrester's place. Ashley arrived after Phoebe left and coyly taunted him about his pent-up hormones. Rick expressed his frustrations at putting off sex. Ashley had no sympathy: "Maybe you should have thought of that before you started dating a teenager." Ashley also told Rick that he should respect Phoebe for knowing her own mind. Ashley asked Rick if she could borrow the brochure to the place he wanted to take Phoebe for. Rick was intrigued as to why she needed it and asked her if she's met somebody. Ashley told him she did meet someone and they planned to have a date, but haven't had one yet. When Ashley dropped the bomb that it was Ridge, Rick freaked out and tried to persuade Ashley that she could do much better.

Bridget welcomed Eric home from his business trip. Eric lamented that Brooke ruined her chances at happiness and a family. Bridget shared her worry that her mom is depressed. Bridget proceeded to recap the other stories to Eric, including Nick and Taylor's wedding and their efforts to start a family with in vitro fertilization. Meanwhile, Nick did his best to allay Taylor's concerns about Lt. Baker's investigation into Shane's murder and urged her to leave so he could get some work done. Jackie arrived on the scene and learned of Shane's death and the investigation into Nick. Nick urged both women to relax.

Lt. Baker became impatient with the delay in forensics processing the evidence in Shane's murder case. He called Stephanie and asked to speak to her and Ridge at her home ASAP. Stephanie agreed. "He knows," Ridge surmised. Ridge and Stephanie returned home to wait for Lt. Baker. They informed an astonished Eric about Shane's death and the investigation. Phoebe arrived to meet Baker, as well — as did Nick, Jackie and Taylor. After everyone was assembled, Lt. Baker arrived on cue. Nick impatiently told Lt. Baker to cut to the chase. Baker told everyone he was trying to do them all a favor by meeting with them like this so he could talk to them before the inevitable media circus ensued. Stephanie expressed her appreciation and asked Lt. Baker if he had any new information. Lt. Baker told her he could do better than that — he could tell everyone who was responsible for Shane's death.

As Ridge prepared to go to the police, Stephanie reassured him that she's retained the best possible lawyer for him and instruct him not to confess or say anything to the police until Ridge has spoken to the lawyer. As Ridge visited with RJ, Brooke made small talk with him. Ridge tried to explain that he might not be around for RJ, but Brooke wasn't picking up on his hints. Stephanie arrived and interrupted Ridge's last attempt to tell Brooke. As Ridge remained certain he was facing a life behind bars, Stephanie laid out the facts for him and explained how the police could tie motive, opportunity, and even the garment bag Ridge used to dispose of Shane to Nick.

A frantic Taylor visited Nick at work with the newspaper article about Shane's death. Taylor was worried that she was the police's prime suspect and that her credibility problem with Lt. Baker will only make things worse for her. Nick tried to reassure her, but in desperation Taylor made a beeline to Stephanie and asked for her help and influence. Taylor was upset when Stephanie told her that Lt. Baker and had told her about the restraining order she asked for against Shane. As Taylor talked everything out she realized that because Nick has a boat at the marina the police may begin to suspect him. Taylor recalled the scene Nick made with her about Shane in front of Lt. Baker. Taylor changed her mind and realized that getting Stephanie involved could make Taylor look guilty. Meanwhile, Lt. Baker and his partner paid Nick a visit at his office. Nick was curt as Lt. Baker asked him questions about Shane's death. When Lt. Baker asked if they could look around, Nick refused. The lieutenant then handed Nick a search warrant and commenced looking around with his team. Taylor returned to Nick's office after Lt. Baker and his team left. She was dismayed to learn that Baker was hassling Nick, but Nick reassured her they have nothing to worry about.

Phoebe broke the news to Rick about Shane's death, and blamed herself for what happened to him. Rick tried to reassure Phoebe that Shane's death was not her fault. Phoebe tearfully lamented that anyone she gets close to ends up dead, and urged Rick to stay away from her. Rick sweetly professed to Phoebe that he wasn't going anywhere.

At Forrester Originals, Lt. Baker informed Ashley and Ridge that Shane is dead. Lt. Baker told Ridge that Shane was shot and found stuffed in a bag. He wanted to question them but took the hint that he was interrupting something personal. Baker told them he'd be in touch and left. Stephanie arrived and Ridge "informed" Stephanie of Shane's death. Stephanie asked Ashley for time alone with Ridge. Stephanie warned Ridge against confessing. She insisted the police wouldn't believe it was an accident since Ridge went so far as to dump the body. Ridge expressed worry over the garment bag that he used. Stephanie kept downplaying his concern and urged Ridge not to give up. Despite Stephanie's protests, Ridge said he remains haunted by Shane's death and has no choice but to accept the consequences for what he's done.

At the precinct, Lt. Baker was informed that Shane's body was stuffed in a bag that's used commonly in the garment industry, and that Shane's body suffered bruises from chains that were used in an attempt to keep it submerged. Baker placed a call to the harbormaster and asked if the Shady Marlin II went on any trips in the past 48 hours. The harbormaster said the boat went out the night of Shane's death but no one radioed in from the boat. Lt. Baker told his partner to alert the forensics team to head to the boat as soon as he obtains a search warrant. Aboard the Marlin, Baker instructed the forensics team to search the entire "tub" for any evidence linking Shane to the boat.

At the hospital, Nick and Taylor told Bridget of their wedding before meeting with the fertility specialist. The specialist reviewed the procedures and protocols, and explained that Taylor would now be checked to see if her body is responding properly to the hormone treatments. Bridget then gave Nick a specimen cup and coyly told him that it was now time for him to do "his part." Bridget told him that she's truly happy for him and Taylor but admitted that her mom is upset. Nick told Bridget that Brooke came by the chapel before he married Taylor. When Nick was left alone to produce his specimen Taylor knocked on the door, entered and offered to "lend him a hand." The two of them began kissing and making out. "This may be the most unusual honeymoon," Taylor joked as she continued to seduce Nick. Later Bridget arrived to collect the specimen and begin the fertilization process. Alone, Nick and Taylor reveled in their new marriage and the prospects of starting a family.

At Forrester Originals, Stephanie and Ridge were conspiring about their cover-up of Shane's death. Ashley arrived and Stephanie excused herself. Ashley expressed concern about Phoebe because of Shane. Ridge did his best to distract both of them by kissing her. Ridge asked Ashley if she'd like to go out on a date. Ashley agreed. Ridge suggested an extravagant date, one requiring the Forrester jet. As the two happily began prepping for their date, Lt. Baker arrived. He wanted to talk to Ridge about the murder of Shane McGrath.

"We can't do this," exclaimed Nick, pulling himself out of Brooke's grasp. Brooke pleaded with Nick for another chance. Nick rejected Brooke, citing her child with Ridge as an insurmountable bond. People in the chapel were getting restless until Nick arrived and told everyone to cue the ceremony. The music played and a beaming Taylor walked down the aisle as a jealous Brooke watched from the rear of the chapel. As the priest conducted the ceremony he asked if either of them had any reason to divulge why they shouldn't be married. Neither Taylor nor Nick spoke, upsetting Brooke, who ran off. An emotional Taylor and Nick exchanged their vows, after which Phoebe sang to them. After Phoebe's song, Taylor and Nick exchanged rings, and the priest pronounced them husband and wife.

Brooke returned home only to be confronted by Stephanie, eager to pounce on her: "Poor Brooke. No job, no man. You've lost it all." Brooke and Stephanie bickered once more over whether Ridge's actions with Rick were excusable or not. Stephanie demanded that Brooke stay out of Ridge's life. Brooke reminded her that's impossible since they share a child.

Bridget and Rick wondered why Brooke encouraged him to be Nick's best man at the wedding. Brooke entered and told Bridget she thought she was ready for the wedding but realizes that she's not. Rick gave his mom a hug of support before heading to the wedding. Brooke lamented to Bridget that she didn't appreciate Nick when she had him, and that she didn't heed his warnings where Ridge and the Forresters were concerned. Bridget told her mother to stop stressing out over the past and to accept Nick's choice. "It's too late, Mom," Bridget declared. "No, it's not too late," cried Brooke as she grabbed her keys and made a beeline for the chapel.

Taylor called Nick to coyly remind him that he has to go to the hospital to make his sperm donation after the wedding before their honeymoon. Nick happily told Taylor he'd see her at the altar. Lt. Baker called Taylor and told her the police department granted her and Phoebe a restraining order against Shane. At the church, Nick told Storm that his relationship with Storm's sister is in the past, and that he starts a new life with Taylor today. Meanwhile, Taylor informed an ecstatic Jackie that she and Nick are beginning in vitro fertilization procedures today. Rick arrived at the church and told Nick that his mom is truly over Ridge. Jackie arrived and asked for a private moment with her son. Jackie fondly recalled when Nick was born and the moment the doctor first put Nick into her arms. Meanwhile Phoebe spent some quality time with her mother as she prepared for the ceremony. The two of them rejoiced in Taylor's happiness. As Nick was fixing his tie Brooke burst into his room to make an eleventh-hour play. "You can save face by turning around and walking out, and no one will ever know that you're here," offered Nick. Brazen Brooke remained undaunted. "Tell me what I already know: Tell me that you love me, that you're not going to go through with this," Brooke asked before kissing Nick on the lips and caressing his ears. "Please, Nick...don't do this!"

At Forrester Originals, Ridge tried his best to sketch a new design but kept getting distracted by flashbacks to Shane's death. Stephanie and Felicia entered and Felicia noted Ridge's lack of progress on his design. The phone rang and Felicia answered — it was the police, alerting them to the restraining order against Shane and asking if Ridge knew Shane's present whereabouts. Realizing he was too upset to take the call, Stephanie took it and abruptly ended the conversation with the detective. A suspicious Felicia wondered why everyone was so upset and on edge lately. Stephanie tried to run interference but Felicia remained suspicious. Privately Stephanie admonished Ridge for his poor poker face. "You've got to do better than that. If she thinks there's something wrong then what will the police think?!" At the police station, Lt. Baker's partner informed him that Taylor won't be needing the restraining order, since a body matching Shane's description washed up in the Santa Monica bay. "Looks like murder," commented Lt. Baker after viewing a photo of the body.
