Bridget told Rick that neither Brooke nor Taylor had anything to worry about — there was no way Brooke's eggs were implanted in Taylor. Rick told Bridget that Phoebe had forgiven him for his affair with the other woman, but admitted her relationship with Constantine was driving him crazy. Bridget asked how things were going with Ashley at work now that he had gone back to Phoebe. Rick hoped that if something were bothering Ashley that she would be honest with him, and that under other circumstances, he and Ashley would be together. He acknowledged it would bother him to see Ashley with another man, but he didn't think there was a guy out there who was worthy of her. Rick complained about how much he disliked the makeover Constantine was giving Phoebe — it wasn't the image they wanted for the company fragrance. Bridget reminded Rick that Constantine was a professional. Rick suddenly had an idea: he and Phoebe singing together could stop Constantine from turning her into something she isn't. Bridget hoped it worked out. She warned Rick that their mother was on a mission to get Ridge back.

Ridge asked Ashley not to leave L.A. She confessed that she found Ridge very attractive, but he had a lot of baggage — namely, Brooke and Stephanie. Ridge said that while he would always care for Brooke, nothing could undo what happened between them. Ashley sympathized with his situation. Ridge asked for Ashley's help. They were both looking for something new, so maybe they could try to find it together. Before she could answer, Ridge's cell phone rang, and it was Brooke. He ignored the call. Ridge thanked Ashley for the home-cooked meal, and said he wanted to get home to RJ before he went to sleep. He asked if they could do this again, and Ashley said definitely. Ridge kissed her goodnight, and left.

Stephanie told Brooke that she prayed Ridge would get over her and fall for someone like Ashley. Brooke asked Stephanie to leave, and before going Stephanie warned Brooke that Ridge was never coming back to her. Steph went to get RJ, but Brooke insisted that if Ridge wanted to see RJ, he would have to come get him himself. Brooke tried calling Ridge, but Ridge didn't take he call, and Stephanie said she knew he wouldn't. Stephanie said it was pathetic that Brooke would use a child to get to Ridge, and suggested Ridge's date could go very late...so he might not come over to get RJ at all.

At the Forrester manse, Stephanie told Eric about Brooke's plotting. Eric told Stephanie to calm down; RJ was fine with Brooke. Ridge walked in, wanting to know where RJ was. Stephanie filled him in on the situation with Brooke. Ridge left to get his son, ignoring Stephanie's pleas not to.

Stephanie went to Ashley's, telling her Ridge had a wonderful evening with her. She proceeded to tell her that Ridge was on his way over to Brooke's, and filled her in on Brooke's scheming. She was worried Brooke would seduce Ridge. Ashley angrily told Stephanie that this was exactly why she didn't want to get involved with Ridge. She swore she wasn't getting in the middle of his Brooke saga.

Ridge walked into Brooke's bedroom, where he found her in a negligee. Brooke said RJ was asleep, and Ridge wondered if that was why Brooke hadn't let Stephanie take RJ home. Brooke reminded him that he didn't tell her about Steph coming to pick the child up in his place, and she hadn't felt comfortable sending RJ off with his grandmother given the way she was acting. Brooke admitted Stephanie tried to use Ashley to make her jealous. Brooke tried to put the moves on Ridge, but he told her he was only there for RJ. She tried to convince him he should stay, and eventually they kissed. Ridge pulled back.

A persistent Stephanie hammered away at Ashley, telling her all the reasons she should date Ridge. "He needs to realize there's another wonderful woman out there, and that woman might be you," she said. But Stephanie insisted she didn't want to get caught in the middle of the family's in-fighting over Brooke. La Forrester exploded over how Brooke left Ridge at the altar, humiliating him, and that a child wasn't enough to hold them together. Ashley conceded they did "click," and Stephanie gave another nudge: "You're tired of games and so is he." Despite Ashley's confession that she wanted to leave L.A., Stephanie urged her to reconsider. You came to L.A. looking for something simple, Steph reminded her, and "it would be a big mistake to leave without trying to find it." Just then, Ridge — persuaded by Felicia to give a relationship with Ashley a try, telling him Ashley was "crazy" about him — called to ask what Ashley was doing that evening, and then declaring he was taking her out. Ashley demurred, but then quickly added that he should instead come over to her house for dinner. Stephanie piped in that she would watch RJ while the pair were busy, and Ridge sarcastically noted he wasn't surprised his mother was at Ashley's house. After the dinner plans were firmed up, Ashley admitted to Stephanie: "I probably couldn't have said no even if I tried." Stephanie then offered her own advice on Ashley's future: "Risky business, happiness. Sometimes it's closer than you know." A short while later, Ridge showed up with flowers and sparks flew. After Ashley announced to him that she was leaving L.A. to "get back my life," Ridge took her into his arms and confessed: "I don't want you to. You just might be the best thing that happened to me in a long time...but I haven't had time to find out." The pair melted into a long kiss.

At Brooke's house, she questioned Bridget about her obvious "stress" over the past few days, and Bridget hinted the "false alarm" at work (the anguish about an egg mix-up with Taylor's IVF) had been resolved. Brooke then confided that she thought Stephanie was trying to pair off Ashley with Ridge, and that she wanted to "be a family again." She scoffed at Stephanie's description of her as "Hurricane Brooke," and conceded though she hurt the family over Nick and Ridge, "I think I've damaged mine even more." Bridget said she wouldn't object to her being with Ridge once more, but Brooke noted she'd had to win back his trust. With that, Stephanie showed up to pick up RJ in place of Ridge, who was supposed to have the child for the weekend, and Brooke exploded in fury. "He's out with Ashley, isn't he?" she demanded of Stephanie, who then berated her: "You can't have Nick so now you want Ridge," she snarled. "My son is smart enough to know when he's being offered scraps."

Stephanie was bluntly furious that Brooke was back in the Forrester Originals fold, though Eric and Thorne welcomed her back with open arms. Stephanie huffed that Brooke keeps coming back "like a bad penny," but the persistent Brooke said she'd realized her past mistakes and now recognized how "decent" the whole family was. After Stephanie got Brooke alone, she coldly warned: "Don't think you're going to worm your way back into Ridge's life." Brooke reminded her of the child Ridge and she share, just as he walked in on the women.

Elsewhere, Rick gave Phoebe a perfume campaign tour schedule — one that she immediately found a conflict in with her studio work with Constantine. Rick flew into a rage, reminding her the business campaign "has to come first." Phoebe accused him of not being fair and the pair got back into their argument over her glam-rock image. "It can't be the new Phoebe," Rick insisted — at which point Ridge strode into the office, asking Rick if his concern was over Phoebe or his dislike of Constantine. Phoebe later told Rick she hoped her music dreams wouldn't ultimately drive him away, and Rick vowed not to stand in her way, telling her he believed in her. Phoebe extracted a promise he'd stay faithful while she traveled, and she promised she wouldn't "make you wait forever."

At Ashley's house, Felicia prodded Ash into talking about her feelings for Rick. She told her they had a fling in Paris, but insisted that it was over between them. Felicia noted Ashley never said one way or the other if she loved Rick, and chided her for going after a man that was "safe." Felicia then made a bold pitch for Ashley to find another man to help her feel less at loose ends, suggesting her older brother, Ridge. He's "not like other guys," she told Ashley, who conceded Ridge was "the kind of guy I could fall in love with" — if she ever decided to. But she said she wasn't in the market for love just yet. Afterward, Stephanie arrived to make a similar pitch on Ridge's behalf. She recounted how Brooke waffled between Nick and Ridge, and then appealed to Ashley to save Ridge from Brooke's "clutches."

Meanwhile, at Bridget's lab, the chief of staff Dr. Mills announced he knew that Carl and Bridget were "investigating" recent procedures. "Nobody is stirring up trouble where there isn't any," he coldly warned Carl. "I know the truth!" Dr. Mills then explained to Bridget his proof on how there could be no eggs mix-up between Taylor's donated eggs and Brooke's eggs at Cryostorage: There wasn't enough time for the switch, he asserted. "Everything is as it should be," he calmly declared.

Taylor playfully modeled sexy lingerie as Nick admired her from their bed. Falling into his arms, Taylor marveled that she felt just like a mother despite fact that she is carrying a donor's egg. "I know somebody else out that shares half this baby's genes," she confided. A phone call from Bridget interrupted their pillow talk. Bridget asked if Taylor was still having morning sickness. Taylor assured her she was fine and hung up. Confused, she told Nick she had no idea why Bridget called. As they cuddled in bed, Taylor assured Nick there was nothing wrong and that it was normal to have concerns when one is having another woman's baby. She confessed about her "bad dream" that the donor wanted her baby back. "That won't happen," Nick assured her, telling her it doesn't matter the egg came from a donor. "You're the one" the child is going to call mommy, he noted. Nick tenderly touched Taylor's stomach as she looked lovingly into his eyes.

At the lab, Carl gazed at the identical labeling on test tubes and petri dishes from the IVF and Cryostorage lab, asking himself, "How could I be so wrong?" Then, as if talking to Bridget, he conceded glumly: "Your mother's eggs may have been used in Taylor's IVF after all." A short while later, Bridget's cell phone woke her up. When she noticed it was Carl, she didn't answer. "Pick it up, pick it up," Carl urged, nervously pacing the floor. Bridget was in no hurry. "You are the last person I want to talk to right now," she mumbled sleepily. Afterward, she stomped to the door to answer a loud knocking, letting an out-of-breath Carl inside. "I was wrong about the labels," he blurted out. "They're the same," explaining the IVF and Cryostorage labels match after a new system was put in place. "I'm so sorry to be the one to have to tell you," he said. "Taylor may be carrying your mother¹s baby." Bridget stared at him in horror.

At a recording studio, Phoebe sang while Constantine watched from behind the booth. "Really good," he said. "Vocally you¹re doing great." But he told her to be a a pop star she would have to "work on your look a little bit." He jokingly told her she wouldn't need a Mohawk (a wink at AMERICAN IDOL's real-life Sanjaya faux-hawk?), but that being a rock star is all about creating a "unique image." He promised to help her and Phoebe eagerly agreed: "Make me over!" At the Forrester Originals lab, Rick saw pictures of Phoebe that were part of the fragrance line Ashley is working on. Rick complained Constantine has Phoebe's priorities "all mixed up," and Ashley urged him to go to Phoebe and try to rescue her. Rick kissed her hand and thanked her just as Felicia happened by and saw the tender moment. At the studio, Phoebe started her makeover with an introduction to Val, who told her she was there to spice her up. Constantine said she would help give Phoebe an "edgier, flashier, sexier" look. When the makeover was complete, Phoebe showed off her glam-rock look, just as Rick walked in. His jaw literally dropped. "What the hell have you done to her?" he seethed. "It's the new me," she assured Rick, but he pleaded with her that she didn't need "to look like this to be a success." She tried to explain it was "part of my persona," but Rick wasn't convinced. He told she didn't look good because she didn't look like her natural self, and that the clothes weren't what made her sexy. He told her that her pictures from the fragrance campaign were beautiful. "That's the image we want to project," he said, adding that he's worried about her look because she's the "brand" of the fragrance. He told her that he's worried she's giving over too much control to Constantine. "You used to take your work at Forrester Originals so seriously," he said, noting her new look made her look like she was dressing up for Halloween. "I'm not trying to shoot down your dreams," he assured her, but said she'd have to choose between her rock star persona and her fragrance campaign work. She told him she couldn't choose, and that she didn't want to lose him. He assured her he wouldn't leave her, but warned, "You might lose yourself." When he told her to walk out with him, a conflicted Phoebe told him: "Constantine thinks I can really do this and so do I. I'm so close." Rick asked her again to leave with him, but she stood frozen. Rick stormed out as Phoebe's eyes filled with tears. Constantine came up to her, telling her: "If he can't be here for you, let him go," he told her.

At the hospital, Carl the lab tech told Bridget he's convinced the Marone IVF came from the fertility lab — not Cryostorage — saying the different petri dish labels proved his theory. "The eggs...were from the anonymous donor, not my mother. Thank God!" Bridget responded. "Taylor is not carrying my mother's baby." Bridget explained to Carl that her mother was still in love with Nick, and that if she found out Taylor's fetus was from Brooke's egg... "Ticket to Crazy Town?" Carl asked, grinning. He assured Bridget she didn't make a mistake, and that the Cryostorage labels were different than those used by the fertility lab. Bridget was so happy and relieved. Carl asked her if she wanted to celebrate, reminding Bridget she had to show up at the Forrester family party. She effusively thanked him, assuring him she "won't forget this" and tenderly pecked him on the cheek. As she rushed out, Carl dreamily touched the spot on his face where her lips brushed. Alone in the lab, the pleased-with-himself Carl happily signed for some equipment — only to be informed the labels from the Cryostorage facility have been updated to be like those used by the fertility lab. He looked crestfallen. "I think I just made a horrible mistake," he whispered.

Inside Nick's office, Brooke explained if she continued to work with him and Taylor "there would be problems." Nick told her it would be "insane" to go back to Forrester Originals, but Brooke responded it wasn't going to work staying with Nick and Taylor either. "Please, just tear up the contract. Please," she pleaded. Nick glumly pondered the request, and then ripped the contract in half. Brooke sighed with relief and thanked him. The couple hugged tenderly just as Taylor walked in, sarcastically asking if she'd interrupted. "I'm just saying goodbye to your husband," Brooke told her. Nick explained that Brooke was returning to Forrester Originals. Brooke added that Taylor and Nick were going to have a child together and that should come first. An amazed Taylor replied that she thought the three of them had "made some breakthroughs," but an insistent Brooke countered that children should be able to grow up without "distraction" and that their parents "need to be focused on them...Take care of your baby." She walked away, as a slightly confused Taylor asked Nick, "What just happened?" Nick solemnly explained: "Ridge." Taylor admitted she wasn't unhappy Brooke would be out of their work lives, and then seductively began to kiss and caress Nick.

At the Forrester family party, Ridge pressed Constantine on whether he really thought Rick was cheating on Phoebe. He couldn't believe "she'd let something like that happen." Around the pool, Constantine and Rick angrily went face-to-face, and Rick demanded Constantine leave — just as Phoebe walked over to them. An emboldened Rick then accused Constantine of using Phoebe and told her: "I don't think you can trust this guy." A smug Constantine just laughed: "Why don't you sing with her?" he challenged Rick, who angrily declined. Later, Bridget, freshly arrived at the party, confided to Rick about the false alarm involving a switch of their mother's eggs. "It's not mom's baby," she said of Taylor's pregnancy, and Rick broke out in a huge smile of relief. Just then, Phoebe walked over and told Rick she was going to practice her singing with Constantine. "It's important to me," she assured him before hurriedly kissing him and telling him she loved him. Phoebe and Constantine walked away and Ashley spied Rick appearing exasperated. Ashley then sauntered over to Rick, asking him if Phoebe forgave him. "You're back on track?" she asked, saying she was happy for him. In the background, Constantine, seeing Ashley and Rick together, seemed to get an idea about their relationship.

Inside the house, Ridge announced he had something to say, declaring Brooke was coming back to Forrester Originals. "Why would you help get her back?" a stunned Stephanie asked. Even though Brooke helped get Ridge out of jail, Stephanie said that wasn't enough of a reason to bring her back into the company. At that point, an elated Brooke swept into the room, saying she was "free to come back" and that Nick had ripped up her contract. Ridge asked everyone to leave to let he, Stephanie and Brooke talk. Now by themselves, Stephanie bluntly declared: "I will not allow this," and Brooke looked crushed. Stephanie tried to remind Ridge that Brooke once dumped him to "jump in bed with Nick," but Ridge only reminded her of Brooke's role in his release from jail. Stephanie insisted it was Rick was did more to get Ridge sprung and that it's he whom Ridge owes the gratitude. "I know you better than any living human being," she seethed at Brooke. "You're in love with the idea of Nick because you can't have him," and warned "It's just a matter of time" before she wandered back to Marone. Ridge warned Stephanie to leave Brooke alone. "So, you're a team now," Stephanie snidely asked. "You're so vulnerable with this woman!" Ridge reminded Stephanie that the couple share a bond — their child, RJ. Stephanie tried to tell Ridge to find another woman, suggesting Ashley.
