B&B Recaps Week of May 23, 2005
Friday, May 27, 2005 While Ridge and Taylor were smooching, a poolside Bridget talked to Eric about making sure that Taylor doesn't come between Brooke and Ridge. Eric rather weakly explained that Stephanie wants Brooke out of the house. (Steph, so wears the pants in that family.) "Make no mistake, Stephanie is no friend of your mother's," Eric informed his daughter, who groused about Steph's meddling ways. "This cannot be starting all over again," Bridget wailed. Um, yeah, it could be Bridget. At that very moment, Stephanie visited Brooke and after a brief pretense at caring informed her that since, "Ridge and Taylor should be together," she hoped Brooke would make the sacrifice and step aside. When a stunned Brooke didn't immediately buckle, Steph noted that she was still that "same little tramp from the Valley," who went after her son in the first place. She also worked "whoring" and "fornicate" into the conversation.
Back on memory lane, Ridge applauded Taylor's patience and assured her they would work things out and his love for her would never change. The duo then pored over a photo album and recalled Ridge's proposal and their wedding at Pepperdine University. Taylor informed Ridge that she wanted them back together "in every way."

Thursday, May 26, 2005 Taylor, Thomas and the twins showed up at Eric and Stephanie's for a swim, and Taylor met Gaby. At the pool, the Forresters told Gaby how thrilled they were to have their mom back, while she secretly missed her own madre. Seeing her tears, the kids offered to share their mom with Gabs. Hugs all around!
Taylor had tea with Stephanie and Eric, and said Brooke was being very gracious about the whole situation with Ridge. Steph was thrilled to hear Ridge and Brooke aren't sleeping together anymore. Taylor mentioned Brooke has been a good mother to her kids, and she's grateful for that. The kids then phoned the main house requesting their mother's presence.
Ridge reflected on Taylor coming back into his life. Nick came by to see Brooke to make sure she was okay, and had a few words with Ridge. "You're such a good friend, spat Ridge. Nick told Ridge to make up his mind — and soon. "Ya can't have them both, ya moron," Nick shouted at his bro. When Ridge hinted that Taylor may not be leaving his house, Nick chided his sib about his history of indecision with these two women. Nick said he can't walk out on Brooke, while at the Forrester home, Steph made it clear she thinks Ridge needs to choose Taylor.
After Taylor went down to the pool, Eric chided Stephanie for her interference. Eric said he thought she and Brooke made amends. Surprise! It was all an act that "pained" her, Steph claimed. She then called Brooke and mentioned they need to have a talk. Uh-oh!

"We just can't go on this way," Ridge said to Brooke and she (and we) assumed he threw her over once again for Taylor. Brooke was relieved that Ridge meant that he couldn't share a bed with her until their situation was resolved. Ridge announced he would move into the guest room but Brooke offered to relocate there instead. After Brooke left to pack for her new digs (it is a big walk down that hallway after all), Taylor said good night and kissed Ridge on the cheek. "I love you Ridge," she cooed, to which he responded, "I love you too, Doc." Brooke came back to say good night and Ridge promised his love for her would never change (hmmmm, things seem a little different to us, Ridge).
Jackie returned to Nick's boat. "Are you here to apologize or dig yourself a deeper hole?" he asked. Jackie once again pleaded for her son to consider a life with Brooke. Nick got upset with his mom for not letting go of the issue but Jackie pushed on. "You promised Brooke that if Ridge ever made her cry again, you would be there for her," Jackie pointed out. Nick finally kicked her out, but before she exited, Jackie said, "Are you annoyed with me because I'm wrong or because you know that I'm right." (Luckily for Jackie, Mother's Day has already passed). Nick flashbacked to the night he told Brooke how much she meant to him. Brooke then called looking for Bridget and Nick could tell she was upset. Brooke related how she's now living in another bedroom which ticked off Nick. He told Brooke he would always be there for her. "Always?" she asked and Nick affirmed, "Always."
Bridget unloaded her concern for Brooke's marriage to Eric. He asked if his daughter had rescheduled her wedding and she said too much is going on to consider that. But Bridget did say she would like to have the ceremony at Eric's place and he happily agreed. He was surprised when Bridget mentioned how Jackie wanted Nick to be back with Brooke.

Brooke was upset when Thomas asked her to leave. Taylor showed up and admonished her son for getting involved, but he insisted that Brooke and Ridge can't share a bedroom while Taylor is downstairs. Brooke suggested that they buy a house nearby for Taylor to live in. "You have to choose Dad," Thomas urged. "Somebody has to go. Who's it going to be?" Ridge asked his son to leave so he can discuss the matter with Brooke and Taylor. After he was gone, Brooke lamented how they were mired in the same old triangle like before. "It's different this time, Brooke" noted Taylor. "It's not about you and me. It's about the children." As usual, Ridge bounced back and forth between the women as he recounted their wonderful traits. "Brooke I am so sorry," he declared as he caressed her hair....
Gaby was elated to hear from Stephanie that Taylor is alive. When Gaby left, Jackie arrived. Since she wanted Brooke as a daughter-in-law and Steph wants Brooke out of the family, Jackie proposed they help each other to make that happen. "I thought Nick was engaged to my stepdaughter," pointed out Steffers. Jackie pressed that they needed to do something quickly before this opportunity to bring Brooke and Nick back together passes by. "Brooke and Nick are ancient history," said Stephanie. "Get over it"....
Thomas came downstairs to find Gaby waiting for him. She told him how happy she was that his mother was alive. Thomas felt bad for Gaby being motherless, but she insisted she was truly thrilled for him. Thomas groused about the complicated situation, so Gaby gave him a reassuring hug. Oops. Caitlin walked in and spied them in each other's arms. But before Thomas could tell her that his mom was back, Caitlin tearfully stormed out.

Ridge smooched with Brooke in their bedroom, but he stopped short of making love. "Help me feel safe again," Brooke tearfully begged. They kissed passionately again and this time, got horizontal on the bed. Judging by the pained look on his face, Ridge was either conflicted or having another one of his headaches....
Taylor was pacing the living room when Thomas arrived. "I can't believe you're actually here," he smiled, then got upset upon learning that his dad was upstairs with Brooke. Thomas assumed Ridge was asking Brooke to leave, but his mom urged him not to worry about it and to go to bed. Instead, Thomas knocked on Ridge's bedroom door and interrupted things from getting out of hand with Ridge and Brooke. She was thrilled when Thomas thanked her for healing their family, then stunned when he asked her to leave....
Nick summoned Jackie and Massimo to his boat and announced that Taylor was alive (thankfully we didn't have to hear once again how she cheated death). Mass was overjoyed and wanted to celebrate, until he realized what a quandary this was for Brooke. "This is one hell of a dilemma for Ridge," he groaned. When Nick broke out the cigars, Jackie exiled them to the deck. Once the ladies were alone, Jackie coyly said to Bridget, "This is quite a turn of events." Bridget insisted that Taylor's return had no bearing on Nick and Bridget's relationship. Jackie later riled her son by pushing him to reunite with Brooke.
