Nick told Brooke that Stephanie thought the two of them would end up together after Ridge left her, but he assured her that his brother would stay with her. Brooke asked if Nick was 100 percent committed to her daughter. He promised he was, and told her that Stephanie hoped that by meeting Taylor, he would see that Brooke was fighting a losing battle and convince her to walk away. Brooke suggested that Nick was impressed by Taylor, who is "practically a saint." Nick insisted that "Saint Taylor's got nothing on you, baby" and that Brooke didn't know how to give up. She thanked him for his support and then hugged him.

Taylor insinuated to Stephanie that Nick cared too deeply for Brooke, and she didn't think Nick and Bridget should get married because Nick was still in love with Brooke. Stephanie left, saying she would talk to Bridget.

Bridget went into the boat to find Massimo leaving Nick a note. He was hoping to catch them both because he had a wedding present for them. They talked about Steph introducing Taylor to Nick and her motives, and Massimo assured Bridget that Ridge would be back soon and would make the right choice. He advised her to marry Nick right away, and not to let love slip away from her. He told her that he had arranged for a wedding at sea for the two of them.

Later, Bridget had her veil on to surprise Nick with Massimo's present, but she actually heard Stephanie outside, and not her fiancé. Stephanie apologized for the tension between them and offered to take her on a shopping trip. She told Bridget to slow down with Nick because she believed he still was in love with Brooke. Bridget was furious and insisted that she and Nick loved each other. She refused to be intimidated by Stephanie's accusations and told her to leave.

As Thomas and Caitlin shared coffee at Insomnia, she apologized for getting upset about Gaby kissing him. Thomas then explained that the reason he hasn't been calling Caitlin that much is because he just wants to be friends. "It's Gaby, isn't it?" Caitlin tearfully asked and Thomas admitted that he cared a lot for Gaby. After he went to get another cup of Joe, Gaby arrived to find Caitlin crying. "Thomas dumped me," she sobbed and blamed Gaby, who insisted that she and Tom were just friends. Caitlin admitted she had her chance with him and blew it, then advised Gaby not to make the same blunder. Thomas returned to find Caitlin gone. Gaby related to him how upset Caitlin was. Thomas and Gaby then confessed how much they cared for each other.

Taylor and Nick continued to argue who was best for Ridge. Taylor pointed out Brooke's laundry list of sins but Nick reminded the shrink that Ridge has made his share of mistakes too. Taylor asked if Nick was so protective of Brooke's interests because he loved her. Nick bristled at Tay's questioning but she announced that he also needed to make a decision: Bridget or Brooke. Nick stormed out.

Brooke was upset about finding out from Bridget that Stephanie summoned Taylor and Nick to the Forrester mansion. Brooke angrily surmised that Steph was pushing her same agenda to reconcile Ridge and Taylor. Bridget assured her mom that Ridge will make the right choice. Brooke looked down at her daughter's engagement ring and urged her daughter to elope right away, or getting married may never happen. After Bridget left, Nick showed up and confirmed Brooke's suspicions of Stephanie's motives. He explained how Taylor and Steph are convinced that he and Brooke will ultimately end up together.

Stephanie begged Nick to convince Brooke to walk away from Ridge. When Nick continued to bristle at Steph's pleas, she left him alone with Taylor. "I'm not gonna leave until you and I come to an understanding about something," Nick growled. "You see, Brooke's not the one who has to make a decision here. You do." When Taylor brought up Nick and Brooke's one-night stand, he became highly defensive. Nick advised Taylor to move out instead of ripping Hope and R.J. away form their dad. Nick didn't envy Ridge's position. "I couldn't look little Hope in the eye and tell her she couldn't live with Daddy anymore," Nick said. "And I couldn't hold R.J. in my arms and tell him things aren't gonna be the same with mommy. I grew up not having an old man. I know the scars it leaves. So I think the real question here is, what would you do, given that you're this loving, compassionate person? You know the mind, you're a mother. And you know what broken families do to children. Hope is a wide-eyed, beautiful young girl who needs what every young girl needs. She needs a secure, stable, loving family. She needs people she can count on. Don't take that from her. I'm asking you to give her a chance at happiness. Give her a chance at something special. It'd tear Forrester apart, look at it that way. So, I'm asking you to leave that family alone. Can you do that?"

As Thomas and Gaby excitedly discussed attending the same college this fall, they held hands across the table at Insomnia. Tom then showed off the contract Ñ still unsigned - that Sally offered him. As he headed off to Spectra, he declared, "I just hope Uncle Thorne is onboard with all of this, or else, the whole thing could backfire."

Thorne was shocked, then ticked off that Sally offered Thomas a designing job. "You know the flak that it caused when I defected to Spectra," Thorne pointed out. "The last thing that my family needs right now is more strife." Sal reminded Thorne how his parents never appreciated him at Forrester Creations. "I figured if anyone would be willing to give him a chance, it would be you," she said. They continued to debate the issue when Thomas showed up and asked for Thorne's opinion on Sally's deal. Despite Thorne's misgivings, Thomas promised, "to work my tail off." Thorne welcomed his nephew to the company and Sally agreed to Tom's condition that he only works for the summer because he's going to college soon.

Steph reminded Nick that he has always been Brooke's supporter and that she's going to need him more than ever when Ridge chooses Taylor. Nick didn't buy Steph's act that she was looking out for everyone else's best interests. He then scoffed at her suggestion that Brooke should bow out gracefully. "This could be her shining moment," Steph surmised, but Nick predicted that Ridge will stay with Brooke.

Taylor was in awe of Bridget's capacity to forgive but the back-from-the-dead shrink pointed out that Brooke is not the proper role model for Phoebe and Steffy. "You put your own feelings ahead of all else — including your children," Taylor accused. Both Brooke and Bridget objected, but Taylor refused to give up her viewpoint. Brooke asked Taylor to put aside their differences and see how much Brooke really cares for the kids. Taylor stated she wants to raise her daughters now in a healthy environment. "Let's just say that you have definitely overstayed your welcome," warned Taylor. Stephanie called and asked her daughter-in-law to come over to meet someone. After Tay departed Brooke wailed, "It's easy to be Miss Little Perfect when you've been in a coma for a few years. You can't really make a lot of mistakes." Bridget vowed that she and Nick will help Brooke get through this.

Eric showed off his newest designs to Jackie and then got right down to business: stop meddling in his daughter's personal life. "The only opinions that matter here are Nick and Bridget's," Eric exclaimed, then warned Jackie to, "stay out of it." Jackie pointed out that Nick and Brooke share something very special, but Eric declared that their relationship is history. "Nick has moved on, even if you haven't," Eric huffed. Jackie obviously struck a nerve when she asked him if any man who ever loves Brooke ever gets over her. Eric promised that they are going to throw a wonderful wedding for Nick and Bridget.

Taylor showed up at Stephanie's house and was introduced to Nick. Steph revealed how she asked Nick to help Brooke to accept the inevitable. "Taylor just wants to be back in her home with her husband and her family, where she belongs," Stephanie explained.

Eric explained to Bridget how he hurt Thomas by not letting him design for Forrester. Bridget complained about Stephanie trying to railroad Brooke out of the family. Bridget lamented that her stepmommy is, "going to make everybody take sides." Eric vowed he would try and rein in his meddling wife.

A smug Taylor questioned Brooke's morals. "I've studied all kinds of sexual disorders," said Tay. "But... I've never come across this particular pathology... Maybe you could tell me how it is, thinking that your husband had just died, you can become aroused by his brother." Brooke insisted that no one was to blame, but Taylor wasn't appeased. Brooke suggested they focus on the children and not Stephanie. Taylor wouldn't let up and continued to judge Brooke's past actions. When Taylor reamed Brooke for her affair with Deacon, Bridget walked in and jumped to her mom's defense. "I forgave her, completely," Bridget declared. "Something that could've destroyed us just really strengthened the bond between us." Taylor voiced her concern that Bridget could be hurt again but she insisted that she had complete faith in Nick.

Sally was salivating over the prospect of hiring Thomas, even though she was more interested in his name than any talent. "If he can write his signature on a piece of paper, that is good enough for me," Sal chirped to Clarke. Thomas arrived on cue and Sally set her trap. "Since Amber left, we've been searching far and wide for a special kind of designer," explained La Spectra. "Somebody who can really feel the teen vibe." Sally asked if Thomas knew anyone that she could hire as a designer right away. "You don't have to look any further," chimed in Tom-Tom. "I'm the man that you want." Sal feigned absolute surprise by the suggestion.

Stephanie summoned Nick to her house with the pretense of offering the Forrester estate for his upcoming wedding to Bridget, but it didn't take Steph long to get to her true agenda. "Jacqueline seems to think that you would be better off if Brooke were available," posed Stephanie. "Is that true?" Nick got upset and insisted he loved Bridget, but Stephanie urged him to face his true feelings.
