B&B Recaps Week of June 20, 2005

Stephanie confronted Ridge at the beach house and reamed him for being so vulnerable to Brooke's charms. Ridge got peeved and ordered Mom to butt out. "It's my life!" he screamed. "It's my decision! Your coming here was a big mistake, Mother. I have had it with you! God, you're making me crazy with this manipulation and your interference in everything I do. And this vendetta you've been holding against Brooke for years, it's through. I've had it! You're done, mother. God!" Stephanie then clutched her chest and had trouble breathing. A worried Ridge wanted to call 911 but Steph begged Ridge not to marry Brooke. As she grimaced with pain, Ridge held his mother and urged her to breathe.

A half-dressed Brooke returned to Ridge's house much to Taylor's chagrin. "You can't even follow the boundaries that we all set for one night," sighed Taylor but Brooke huffed, "I've been more than patient, Taylor. I've been fair and decent to you since you returned. I welcomed you into my home. I even moved out of my own bedroom to make you comfortable. But I am not going to apologize for wanting to be alone with my husband. The truth is, I don't regret going to Malibu tonight. And neither does Ridge." More angry words were exchanged until Brooke went upstairs. The doorbell rang and Taylor was shocked to find Dante on the doorstep. "I know you said I shouldn't come, but I just couldn't leave without seeing you," he smiled.

Thomas seemed to choke while exchanging vows. Gaby insisted they didn't have to go through with the ceremony if he had any reservations. "I just got overwhelmed," Tom admitted. "I'm ready now." He then gave the minister his, "I do." Even though they didn't have wedding rings to offer, the minister said it was still legal, as long as they sign their marriage license. Nick came back into the chapel to retrieve Bridge's purse and was shocked to find Thomas and Gaby leaving the altar. While Gaby went to freshen up, Nick confronted Thomas, who begged his uncle not to say anything to the family. Nick promised he wouldn't.

At the beach house, Brooke and Stephanie's bicker-fest continued. Steph told Brooke that her attempts to seduce Ridge wasn't the way to get him to make a decision based on love. Steph asked Brooke to step aside. "I want you to do what's best for Ridge and the children," she pleaded. Instead, Brooke stepped outside into the windy night and told Steph not to try to intimidate her. Still, Stephanie happily told an irritated Brooke that Ridge wouldn't have even looked at her if he knew Taylor was alive. Brooke asked Stephanie to allow her to give her children the life Steph was able to provide for hers. "I'm sick of doing this dance with you. I will do what I have to do in order to get rid of you," vowed Stephanie.

In Las Vegas, Nick and Bridget waited for their turn at the chapel's altar. A teary-eyed Bridget brought up her wrecked marriage to Deacon. Nick told the woman running the chapel that they weren't going to get married there after all. He assured Bridget that they will get married when the time is right. The cuddled-up couple headed out, but Bridget left her purse behind. Little did they know, it was the vow-exchanging Gabriela and Thomas at the altar they had been waiting for. Though Gab had reservations about getting married, Thomas convinced her it was the right thing to do in order to get her Green Card. "We're not in a church, we're in Las Vegas," he noted when she brought up that marriage is a sacrament. The bride uttered spontaneous, emotional vows. "I'm ready to become your wife," she said. Just as Thomas was supposed to say "I do," he hesitated.

As the wind was blowing outside, the temperature was rising inside. Brooke was in the shower with Ridge and begging him to make love to her. Despite her covering his chest with kisses, Ridge jumped out of the shower. A determined Brooke followed him to the bed and climbed on top of him. "This isn't fair to Taylor," Ridge insisted. He then went to get take out dinner.

A tipsy (well, more like very drunk) Bridget and Nick were on the Marone private jet. Despite her inebriated state, Bridget complained about all the recent circumstances that have kept them from getting married. Nick instructed Bridget to pop open a bottle of champagne while he made a new flight plan with the pilot. "We're getting married tonight," Nick declared. When he came back from the cockpit, he announced that they were winging to Las Vegas. When they landed, they showed up at a wedding chapel where they were told another couple was ahead of them. Oops. That would be Thomas and Gaby!

When Catherine, the nanny, came downstairs to retrieve Hope's doll, Stephanie and Taylor deduced that Brooke wasn't home. Knowing it most likely meant that Brooke was at the beach house, Steph charged out. Taylor tried to call Ridge to warn him, but he didn't answer. Stephanie then called Taylor from the car but when Tay asked what her mother-in-law was going to do once she got to the beach house, a frustrated Steph muttered, "I would like to kill her but I don't wanna go to jail."

Taylor was surprised when Dante called. From their conversation, we learned he helped Taylor come home to her husband and kids. He asked to see her tomorrow before he leaves L.A. "I'll always be grateful to you but I don't think I can see you," sputtered Taylor and she quickly hung up.

As a near-naked Brooke waited for Ridge, Stephanie burst in. "Dammit Stephanie, you have no right to be here," wailed Brooke. Steph ordered Brooke to leave but she refused. "I'm not going to let you get away with this," fumed Steffers.

A bare-chested Ridge confirmed that he still wanted Brooke to come out for their play date, but cautioned her to to drive carefully due to an approaching rainstorm. Brooke smugly passed this info on to Steph, who was unimpressed, but Eric was optimistic that Ridge was putting a lot of thought into his decision. "The only decision he really has to make is, how is he going to break the news to you," huffed Steph.

Ridge went back to macking on a now fully-dressed Taylor. When he mentioned that he had called Brooke to warn her about the rain, Tay devilishly declared, "The last thing I'd want is for her to go careening off into the ocean. That would be bad. That'd be so bad." Ridge got more and more frisky with Taylor. "I just want to drink you in, Doc," he sighed. "You nourish me. Intellectually. Spiritually. Physically. That's what I love about you, Doc." The couple sank onto the sofa. How far would they go? Taylor purred that she couldn't stop.

Brooke asked Eric if she could leave the office in order to ready herself for Ridge. "What are you gonna do, pack?" sniped Stephanie. "You're only spending the day." But Brooke knew how to push the old gal's buttons. "I am what Ridge needs," Brooke gloated. "And I am going to remind him of that as soon as we're all by our lonesome." After Brooke left, Steffers asked why her husband always sided with Brooke. "You are truly obsessed by this, you know that?" Eric posed. "You're sick with it. You're not eating, you're not sleeping. Your blood pressure's probably through the roof." He fretted what could happen to his wife but Stephanie maintained she was trying to protect her family. "I'm swimming with sharks now," she insisted. "Actually, just one. A blonde man-eating one. And I'm not gonna let her continue." A disgusted Eric stormed out.

Stephanie called Ridge who announced that Taylor had departed. Mama once again started to push her pro-Taylor agenda and he hung up. Ridge then looked at photos of both Taylor and Brooke. "Two incredible women," he said to himself. "Both so different. So special. I can only be with one of them." As he was taking a shower (probably a cold one), Brooke arrived and heard the water running. "Poor guy," she cooed to herself. "All alone, all night. With a difficult decision on your mind. You need your wife, Ridge. You need me to make your decision a little easier." Brooke undressed and stepped into the shower to join a surprised Ridge. "Perfect," she seductively announced. "We can conserve water. You know what an environmentalist I am." Ridge reminded her that she was supposed to wait until the next day to get together but Brooke was unfazed. "It's tomorrow in Australia," she reasoned and then tried the oops-I-dropped-the-soap trick (doesn't that only work in prison?).

Taylor came home and told her daughters that she had a wonderful day with Ridge. Phoebe and Steffy were peeved that their father was still going to spend alone time with Brooke. Taylor tried to calm them down by saying that Ridge would make the right decision. After shooing the girls upstairs, Stephanie showed up and wanted to know if Brooke was around. Taylor assumed the tart was upstairs while Stephanie surmised that Brooke was up to something.

Ridge and Taylor ran into the beach house after an apparently fun day of swimming in the ocean (her bikini entered w-a-a-y-y before they did). The couple got frisky when Ridge suggested they have wine so they proceeded to make out. As they cuddled (and kissed some MORE), Ridge murmered how much he missed his wife (Brooke who?). Reality got the better of Ridge as he lamented about the decision before him. "I don't know what to do, Doc," groaned Ridge (gee, as if we never heard him say that one before). Taylor vowed that whatever choice he made, she will always love him (yep, then more smooching). "I'll be right back," she purred.

"What are you doing?" asked Gaby after Thomas got down on bended knee and proposed. He explained that she could get her green card if they got hitched. "Do you realize what you're saying?" Gab asked and Thomas assured it would only be a marriage in name only (oops. she didn't look so happy with that one). Gaby still didn't think it was right, but Thomas said they could still date others. They then admitted they were crazy about each other and shared a lip lock. Thomas then suggested they elope in Vegas and a grateful Gaby accepted.

While staring at Ridge's photo, Brooke remembered happier times with him (including some hot sex, natch). Megan showed up and interrupted Brooke's walk down memory lane. When she observed Megan's troubled expression, Brooke asked what was up. Meg mentioned that Stephanie had canceled all her appointments and planned to go the beach house (talk about a buzz kill for Ridge and Taylor). The devil herself then arrived and confirmed she was indeed heading out to Malibu. "What the hell are you up to now?" demanded Brooke. Common sense overcame Megan and she excused herself. As Stephanie and Brooke argued, the latter pointed out that the former was alienating Eric with all of her meddling. "Could you be anymore pathetic," groused Brooke but Stephanie only chuckled. "This from a woman who spreads herself for any man, any time," she clucked (now, that would be an interesting snack cracker). A fed-up Eric showed up and ordered his wife to back off. Ridge then called Brooke to discuss her turn at the beach house. "You still want me to come, don't you?" she asked.
