B&B Recaps Week of July 18, 2005

Nick and Bridget talked to Stephanie and Eric about getting married that night. Stephanie wondered what Nick was trying to prove by rushing into the wedding; that maybe he was doing it because of his lingering feelings for Brooke. Nick was furious and told them that he may hurt Bridget during their marriage but that "the bond of marriage means you stick around to mend it." Bridget looked overjoyed, while Eric said, "it seems to me like we're gonna have a wedding here."
Jackie confided in Brooke about her scheme to prove Stephanie faked the heart attack, and explained how Steph and the doctor might have pulled it off. Meanwhile Stephanie called. Jackie put her on speaker phone so Brooke could hear. Steph told her that she wasn't welcome at her own son's wedding. After Jackie hung up, Brooke insisted she was going to the wedding. Jackie said she would too, "just as soon as I finish up the wedding gift: Stephanie's head on a platter."....Nick came in after Brooke left, and told Jackie to get ready for the wedding. She urged him to postpone the wedding, even just until the morning because by then, Brooke would want nothing to do with the Forresters, and the woman he really wanted would be free. Nick threw some money down on the table, told her to get a cab to the wedding and stormed out.... Mark brought food over. She asked him how to properly take a tequila shot, and then kept messing up the salt, tequila, lime order so he ended up taking two shots in a row.
At the Forresters, Bridget got off the phone with Brooke and then told Eric she was so happy. He didn't think any man would ever be good enough for her, but was happy for her. The family gathered in the foyer, organizing flowers. Thorne asked his dad if Steph was up for the wedding. Caitlin and Hector were also sighted!
At the Forrester guest house, Brooke arrived with a wedding dress. Stephanie told her Eric already had one brought over. She insisted that Brooke's presence was "about as welcome here as a whore at a monk's convention." Steph said she was more of a mother to Bridget than Brooke ever had been. Brooke headed out, with one parting shot: "watch out for that miracle heart of yours because someday somebody is going to drive a stake through it." When she left, Stephanie called Mark. Jackie meanwhile had the blender on, and covered his cell with a dishtowel until it stopped ringing. Steph left a message for Mark, telling him that people may be calling him asking inappropriate questions, and warned him that they both have a lot to lose. After hanging up she ripped the band aid off her throat.

In bed Dante, nuzzled a sleeping Bridget. She awoke and was panicked to find herself in the compromising position, but Dante quickly assured the fully-dressed Bridget that nothing untoward happened. He urged her to forget Nick and return to Rome with him. She declined and continued to fret over Nick. Dante wouldn't hear of it and removed Nick's ring from her finger. Just then, Nick, who'd been searching for his missing miss, stormed in and demanded that the artist get away from his fiancée. Ex-fiancée taunted Dante tossing the ring at Nick. A tearful Bridget told Nick that she saw him in bed with Brooke. He explained that they were just there for Hope, but she maintained that there was still something between them. Nick put the ring back on Bridget's finger and insisted that they get wed that night. A shirtless Dante scowled.
At the penthouse, Massimo informed Jackie that there was a million-dollar transfer from a Swiss bank account into Mark's account. Jackie crowed that she finally had evidence against Stephanie, but Mass insisted that Steph had too much integrity to bribe the doc into helping her fake a heart attack. After Mass left, Stephanie showed up to insult Jack and predict doom for the Marone marriage. La Forrester suggested that if Jackie wants to be a friend to Brooke she should help her move on. "I have zero tolerance for sluts and parasites," snarked Steph. They were interrupted by a call from Mark, who told Jackie that he couldn't come over, but she pleaded with him to stop by. "Another frequent flier on your airline of love," cracked Steph. Jackie booted her unwelcome visitor out. Mark soon arrived with flowers and suggested that he and Jackie no longer see each other. Jackie cooed, worked the cleavage and got him to agree to a date that night.
When Steph returned home, she received a call from Nick requesting that he and Bridget marry at the Forrester home that night. Oblivious to shirtless, sulking Dante, Nick and Bridget started a heated smooching session.

A devastated Bridget returned to the beach house and sobbed to Dante over witnessing Nick and Brooke in a compromising position. "Everybody warned me, why wouldn't I just listen?" Bridget wailed. Dante tried to console while she confessed how devastated she was when Deacon left her for Brooke. "I thought I was so careful," Bridget described about entering in a relationship with Nick. She beat herself up for being so delusional about the feelings he still had for her mother. "How could he do this to me?" she cried as Dante held her in his arms. He then admitted that he fell in love with Bridget in Rome. "It kills me to see you like this," growled the Italian stallion. "I would never treat you like this, You need a man who loves you for who you are. Let me love you." Yes, Dante, yes! Have your way!! Oh, wait, he was talking to Bridget. So, anyway, they melted into a passionate kiss.
Massimo was annoyed when Jackie showed up at his house. She asked him to check Mark's bank account (Mass owns the institution) to see if there have been any sudden large deposits. Massimo refused but Jackie pointed out that she was sure there would be proof that Stephanie paid off the doc to fake her heart attack. Mass ordered Jackie to end her vendetta. "I'm not going to stop digging," she warned. Massimo then asked for his estranged wife to show herself out and stalked away.
During their close moment, Nick told Brooke, "Nothing would make me happier than to marry Bridget." Brooke vowed that she would never hurt her daughter again. "I will never do anything to interfere with you and Bridget," Brooke declared. "You have my word on that." Nick then promised to take good care of Bridget (uh, Nick, Dante is taking care of that for you, j-j-u-u-s-s-t-t fine). Brooke credited Nick for giving her the strength to stand up to Ridge.

Ridge continued to fume about Thomas marrying Gaby, while Taylor tried to calm him down. Thomas's predicament caused Ridge to be concerned for R.J. "How am I supposed to watch over my own son when he doesn't live with me?" he lamented; his comment seemed to trouble Taylor.
Back at the Forrester guest house Gaby sobbed about the trouble she caused for Thomas, who attempted to comfort her. She then declared that she was in love with him and Thomas admitted that she was very special to him. After they kissed he suggested that they take this, "One day at a time." Thomas assured Gaby that he made a promise with their wedding vows to be there for her.
"You're asking me to run away with you?" an incredulous Bridget asked Dante. He continued to push that Nick was still in love with Brooke. Frustrated, Bridget announced that they should call it a night and offered to drive Dante home to Taylor's beach house. Nick came downstairs and found Bridget's note that she would be right back. Before he could get angry about it, Brooke called him to come back up because Hope was upset. The little girl was afraid of monsters so Nick suggested that she sleep in Mommy's bed and he and Brooke would lay on either side of her.
At the beach house, Bridget defended her relationship to Dante and insisted that Nick was totally in love with her. She stormed out and returned to Brooke's house, just in time, of course, to see her mother and Nick in bed bonding over Hope. Bridget was devastated and started to cry.

Jackie tried and tried to get Mark to reveal what really happened with Stephanie but his beeper went off and he left. Jackie called Brooke to declare that her mission was a bust but she wasn't giving up. "I know that this is a setback, but it's not the end," Jackie vowed. " Mark likes me. He'll be back, and then I'll get him to spill everything. And when he does, I promise you that woman, who has tried to destroy both of us, will know how it feels to lose credibility, to lose respect, to lose everything that she holds precious, everything that she's taken from us. And then we'll see just how well she does when she's lost everything."
Ridge and Taylor burst in on Thomas and Gaby and announced they knew of the marriage. Tom explained the circumstances of Gaby's imminent deportation. "They were going to ship her off to a country she barely even remembers," he noted. "With no friends, no relatives. There was only one way out — marriage." Ridge blasted the teens for their actions then stormed out. Gaby broke down in tears over causing so much trouble and Taylor watched as a concerned Thomas comforted his wife. Taylor softened and admitted that she knew her son's heart was in the right place.
Nick walked into Brooke's house and was upset to find Dante in the living room. Nick told him to beat it but Bridget came downstairs and told Nick to calm down. Brooke joined them and during dinner, Bridget suggested that Dante paint her mom's portrait. "What a challenge to try to capture your beauty on canvas," replied Dante, to which Nick gagged. Hope showed up and wanted a story read to her for bedtime. Nick and Brooke went upstairs with the tyke. Dante pointed out to Bridget that it was obvious Nick still loved Brooke. He then advised an agitated Bridget to leave her engagement ring behind and come away with him. "I wanna make you truly happy for the first time in your life," he urged.
