B&B Recaps Week of Nov. 7, 2005

"Let me be the one who brings you together," Bridget declared to Brooke and Nick. "There is no future with your mother," Nick insisted but a disbelieving Bridget asked how her husband and Brooke could get past their feelings so easily. "We realized that we love you so much more than we love each other," he declared. "I still want you."
Stephanie was unprepared for reporters' questions at the press conference. They wanted to know if she dumped Eric as CEO of Forrester Creations out of revenge, why Thorne is the new president when he bankrupted Spectra and why a psychiatrist is the new face of Forrester? Taylor stepped in and deftly fielded the inquiries. After the event, Stephanie, Thorne, Darla and Taylor celebrated with champagne. Steph was curious when Hector showed up to see Taylor, who got tipsy on the bubbly. "You're lit up like a firefly," Hector observed, then helped her to the limo. As they rode along, Hector accidentally doused them when he popped open a bottle of champagne. "That never happened with beer," he laughed. Taylor admitted she was petrified at the press conference but seeing Hector there helped calm her. "Just because I can't respond to you in a certain way doesn't mean I don't appreciate you," smiled Tay. When they got to her place, they doffed their wet clothes and got very close. "I want to make love to you," he murmured.
At the Big Bear cabin, Thomas chastised his dad for abandoning Taylor at her first press conference. A reporter called Ridge and asked if he was part of the Forrester design team or not. "No comment," Ridge huffed. He then decided to head back to L.A.

During his therapy session, Nick insisted to Taylor that he and Brooke were through. The shrink found that hard to believe, but Nick vowed to regain Bridget's trust. He then lapsed into cute nautical talk by telling Taylor that he wouldn't veer off course.
Stephanie encouraged Ridge to stay at Forrester Creations, but he bristled at the thought of answering to Thorne. She pointed out that once FC has been restructured, both her sons would helm the company side by side. Ridge declared that he couldn't be a part of the family business without Eric. A dolled-up Taylor entered and announced that the reporters were arriving for Stephanie's press conference. Taylor asked Ridge if he would be present at the event to show his support; he declined.
Despite her employment woes, Brooke obsessed about her last encounter with Nick. Eric interrupted her daydream by assuring he would fight Stephanie for Forrester. Brooke confessed that she was out with Nick on his boat, but they didn't make love. Instead, she forced him to see that his place was with Bridget.
Bridget was convinced that her mother's sham marriage would only hurt Eric. "The more she tries to help, the more they spin out of control," Bridget complained to Dante. She decided to take action by calling Nick with instructions to meet up at Brooke's house. Once Nick, Bridget, Brooke and Eric were gathered together, Bridget declared that it was time to stop playing games so Nick and Brooke can be together. She then ordered her husband to take Brooke into his arms.

A new day found Stephanie just as committed to her plans for Forrester, which surprised Ridge. She continued to hope he would stay on board, but he couldn't believe his mother expected him to work for Thorne and Taylor. She maintained working with Taylor was actually an amazing opportunity for the couple, but Ridge feared his mother's entire plan was just another revenge plot. He saw his choice as, "turn my back on my father and the mother of my child or watch the family business go down in flames." Stephanie promised he would stand next to Thorne as co-prez as soon as she knew he was out of Brooke's clutches.
Taylor caught Hector up on the recent events, including Ridge's negative response to her new job. Hector, of course, gushed over the great idea and again offered to give her the support Ridge wasn't delivering. When a patient arrived, he left her with a kiss that landed between her cheek and her mouth. Then the patient snuck in and turned out to be none other than Nick. Taylor insisted she couldn't help him with any problem to do with Brooke, but he felt she was just the person. He begged her for her help in rebuilding Bridget's trust in him and then filled her in on the drama of the Brooke/Nick/Bridget triangle. She questioned whether he was a man who wanted his family or a jilted lover and he swore he wanted a future with his wife and family.
Dante made breakfast as Eric filled in Bridget. She saw Stephanie's side, to some extent, saying that she knew a marriage couldn't be built on lies, but Eric insisted it was more than that for him and Stephanie. The conversation turned to Bridget plans to divorce Nick, with Eric stressing she try her hardest before giving up. Bridget maintained that she needed "to make a clean break from Nick." After teasing her about how much she's been eating, Dante sent her off to put on a bathing suit for a swim. Then he made his case to Eric, questioning why Eric would want Bridget back with Nick when Dante was the one who could make her happy. When Bridget returned with her swelling belly finally showing, she was saddened over the changes in her body, because Nick wasn't there to share them. Dante continued his hard sell.

Stephanie's knee to Eric's groin horrified everyone, but Forrester's new owner insisted it was long past due, saying, "If he'd made one single decision with his brain, I would have slapped him in the head." She then got to business, telling President Thorne to cut the "Reunited" ad campaign and any work underway in Brooke's Bedroom Line. Ridge reminded her that that was one of the company's most profitable lines, but Stephanie was more concerned with Forrester's new classy image. She then gave Brooke, Eric and anyone else not "on board" 30 minutes to get out of the building. That left only Thorne, Taylor, Darla and Massimo (and apparently Rick at International). "Some people in this room haven’t always gotten the respect and dignity due them," Stephanie said. "Well guess what? This is our chance to earn that respect all on our own. We're going to make this company great together."
Later, Massimo interrupted her montage of all the horrible defeats she'd face at the hand of Brooke. He was disappointment that Ridge wasn't made president, but Stephanie explained that Ridge had to get out from under Eric's thumb before taking his place at Forrester. Then, she started clearing the office of anything belonging to Brooke or Eric.
Thorne, meanwhile, was basking in the glow of being the chosen son for once, not to mention being "Ridge's boss." Of course, Ridge had no intention of staying on the "sinking ship." Nor did he want his wife to. The couple remained divided on Stephanie's motives and business ideas, with Ridge's attitude about Taylor's new job offending her. Still, she begged him to stay at Forrester to give working by her side a try.
Eric asked Brooke to let him deal with Stephanie — yeah right! — but when the Stephanie had boxes delivered to Brooke with a message to get out, Brooke made a beeline for the new boss. She insisted Stephanie was going to ruin the company just to spite her and warned that if Stephanie didn't reconsider, she would have to go on the attack. Stephanie just brandished a trophy at her, spewing out a threat. "You don't scare me, you old bat," spat Brooke. "How many years have you tried to scare me with your hatred and your bitterness? It didn't work then and it isn't working now." She stormed out, leaving Stephanie to consider the battle ahead.

Nick considered the task of winning Bridget back and told Jackie Bridget and their family are his priority. A convinced Jackie was proud of her son. She imagined that she and Eric could have been happy if it wasn't for his marriage to Brooke. That's when news of the goings on at Forrester arrived, but Nick refused to feel concern for Brooke because their only connection now was Bridget. He insisted that he was her husband, no matter what she considered him, and swore he'd win his family back.
The big story, however, was the ongoing showdown at Forrester, where Stephanie proceeded to outline the future of "her" company. Eric insisted her father's loan agreement only gave her full ownership as a means to degrade and embarrass him, adding that she would have ripped up the document if she'd known about it. Then he said that letting her be his partner was "very generous" of him, since he was responsible for everything Forrester accomplished. Stephanie just kept bringing the conversation back to Brooke and the tabloids, even after Eric reminded her of her own deception — that the baby she was carrying when they married turned out to be Massimo's. Then, Stephanie announced her new team: She named Thorne the new president, which left Ridge infuriated even after he was named Creative Head. She outlined a new female-empowering image for Forrester, which basically translated to: out with revealing clothes. Taylor supported that, saying, "In my business, it seems you're selling eating disorders and unrealistic body images to women who have no hope of looking" like Brooke. When Stephanie announced Taylor as the new face of Forrester because she represented "class, style, elegance," Brooke guffawed, "What? She's going to psychoanalyze our skirts for the masses?" Taylor ignored the slight and, thinking of her girls, she jumped right on board. Stephanie promised that stocks would be redistributed to those who "have kept us strong and made us successful," which Brooke called a bribe. Then La Forrester turned to Eric and reminded him of how their early years. "You had such a spiritual quality that nothing touched, until her," she said with sadness in her voice. "Did you really have to drag me down? Drag me through the gutter, not once, but twice? No matter what I accomplish from this moment on, it won't be the same without you." Then, she horrified all by kneeing him in the groin!
