B&B Recaps Week of Dec. 12, 2005Friday, December 16, 2005
Bridget continued to give Felicia grief about the four months Nick had missed with his son, but Felicia refused to engage. She only wanted them to find a way to make the situation work. She admitted she'd returned with a reconciliation with Nick in mind, but swore she was over that idea. She was glad it hadn't worked out and said Dominick Jr. needed his family. When Bridget asked if she'd leave the baby, she answered, "Not without a fight." Then she asked Bridget to take her to the hospital to hear the results, thought didn't explain what the tests were. Before they left, it was determined that Dominick would spend the night with Nick and Bridget. At the hospital, Bridget quickly figured out her sister was out of remission. She shot out questions, learning that the cancer had moved to the liver and peritoneum and that they couldn't operate. The cancer was spreading and while aggressive chemo might slow it down, it wouldn't get rid of it. Felicia surmised that she would "check out" either way and asked how long she'd have without the chemo. When he said two to three months, she fell apart. The doctor left the girls to talk. Bridget admitted that if Felicia hadn't stopped chemo to carry Dominick she'd probably never have relapsed, but Felicia figured his life was worth hers. She remained a bit flippant, but Bridget urged her to consider the treatment. "Lying in bed, stinking of vomit? Is that really how I want him or anybody else to remember me?" Felicia asked and pushed Bridget to tell her if she was missing something. Bridget had to admit Felicia understood her options. Felicia apologized to Bridget, saying she wasn't afraid of dying but rather leaving Dominick. That's when their two Nicks came in. Bridget brought baby Dominick to Felicia and when Nick said she'd make a good mom, Felicia said, "I'm counting on it."
Thursday, December 15, 2005 Felicia, meanwhile, was at Insomnia, where she got the news that she had to spend the night at the hospital. Then she and Dante recognized each other from across the room — sort of. He remembered her from a wild, drunken night when she was dancing on a bar in Cannes, but she corrected him — that was actually in Nice. It seems Dante came to her rescue and walked her home. Once they figured that out, they started to learn more about each other and, lo and behold, he worked at Forrester. He was floored when Felicia introduced herself properly. Later, Bridget and Nick found Felicia packing for the hospital. Bridget assumed she was leaving and went on the attack. She grilled Felicia for the full story, not going easy on her, but she was the one who got slammed when Felicia innocently said, "Would you want a man who's with you because of the child? Nick's the kind of man that might actually do that." Then, Felicia introduced Bridget to her nephew/stepson. He was just so cute, but Bridget wasn't sure how to react. At the manse, Stephanie acted impressed with Eric's new view on life, but then said, "Just because you asked me out for dinner doesn't mean I suddenly went stupid." She railed on him for sinking even lower, but he didn't miss a beat. He offered himself to her, as a means to get rid of Brooke. "What do you care what my motives are?" he asked. She admitted she needed him, but added, "If I ever thought there was a chance that you would grasp what it is I really need from you, I'd probably sign your precious company over to you and just call it a bargain." He asked what she needed and she explained that her needs changed when she became a mother, while he'd never become a father. After much fighting about their parenting styles, he figured out something more was going on. She made him guess, but he was so off that she had to give hints about Felicia. "You make it sound like she's dying," he grumbled and then he got it.
Wednesday, December 14, 2005 In the basement, Brooke and Eric continued to disagree about his plan. She remained concerned it would backfire, but he felt it was his only choice and that it was working. Brooke feared it wasn't worth the risk, especially knowing that she'd be the one to pay the price. Eric's lawyer Gregory was also wary of the plan. Then Taylor walked in and Eric didn't miss a beat in covering up Gregory's reason for being there. Eric stormed out "before I say something I'm going to regret," leaving Brooke and Taylor alone. Brooke complained that these days, she says "two words and it starts setting him off." Taylor was just her self-righteous and annoying self, while Brooke pushed her to tell her "best friend" Stephanie to back off. They went back and forth, snitty as ever. Stephanie and Eric started their date at the manse over cocktails. When he referred to Felicia and her "French female friend," she sighed that he's always "10 steps behind." He agreed to that flaw in his character, using it as a segway back to his manipulation and BS about what he'd "learned" about himself. He apologized again and even got down on his knee as he hoped they wouldn't "waste another minute hurting one another." Stephanie seemed to eat it up. Massimo, having returned from a sexy cruise, mooned over Bridget, thrilled that she and Nick were back together. She was bursting herself when she told him "Nick's first born" was a little girl and downplayed the scare with the baby, noting she just had to stay away from stress. Hopefully when Nick tells her about Dominick Jr, she'll remember saying she'd realized "there's no way I can keep him from his child." A glowing Bridget returned home to find Nick playing hooky from work. He let her prattle on until she alluded to the day he'd get to hold his "first born child for the very first time." Nick looked away and sighed meaningfully. It was time to tell her about Dominick Jr. She tried to stay strong, but his convoluted delivery put her on edge. Finally, he told her that Felicia had a baby boy and almost didn't tell him. She understood immediately that it was Nick's baby.
Tuesday, December 13, 2005 After Stephanie left for the office, Nick showed up at the manse to see his son. "I'm keeping an eye on you," he told Felicia. "Make sure you don't go anywhere." Felicia didn't want her son to be "some duty for the courageous sea captain," which of course offended Nick. He later made if clear he was in love with Bridget and she understood. She promised she had no intention of fighting that, but admitted, "That doesn't mean I'm over you." She then quipped it was Stephanie's job to cause trouble, which led Nick to suggest the baby might bring mother and daughter closer. Just as Nick promised everything would work out, Rene arrived with his boy. He took Junior in his arms and the phone rang. It was the doctor calling to ask Felicia to come back for her test results. She pushed him to give them to her over the phone, so he told her she was out of remission and needed to get back to chemo ASAP. She looked at Nick and their son with tears in her eyes. Stephanie returned to work, where she warned Taylor they shouldn't count on Felicia becoming one of their new designers. Taylor, meanwhile, was just itching to fill her in on the Eric and Brooke being "at each other's throats." She insisted Eric had "turned his back on Brooke," but La Forrester wasn't easily convinced. After Taylor filled her in on what she'd witnessed, Stephanie went to see for herself. Down in the basement, Brooke didn't believe Eric could get Stephanie to sign the company back over to him, even if she believed he was over Brooke. She admitted his faux attack was a bit hurtful, but he promised it was an act. Then he spied Stephanie and gave Brooke a sign. The duo went right back into heir faux feuding. They argued about a hemline, but it quickly turned personal. Brooke stormed out, running conveniently into a smiling Stephanie. She seemed convinced, but was more concerned with Felicia. Eric played it cool and moody with her and then "accidentally" knocked over a family picture, which included Stephanie. After she complimented his new conservative design, he admitted, "I'm beginning to realize you were right about a lot of things," and then offered a heartfelt apology, saying he was ashamed. Then, he handed her the design as an olive branch. He concluded that he understood it would take a while for her to forgive him and she was clearly touched as she left him. (What an actor!) When Brooke returned, he was confident his plan was working. He said he was going to get "my company back." Now Brooke was concerned. "Our company," she responded. Was he playing her, too?
Monday, December 12, 2005 Darla and Thorne unwound Sally's web of fibs. Sally admitted she'd tried to save face and not ruin their lives by hiding that she was in wheelchair, but she stuck to her story of going on a world wide cruise story. Unfortunately, the Happy Acres people came to get her and the jig was up. Thorne and Darla refused to let her go to a retirement home. She finally admitted she needed an around the clock nurse, but couldn't afford it. There were some very sweet moments once Darla insisted she move in with them. Thorne made sure Darla understood it was a big job, but Darla responded that she'd been a big job herself when Sally saved her from foster care. Sally finally agreed to go home with them. After Bridget got off the phone with her pops, who was having a great time at Lauren's wedding, she asked Nick what was wrong with him. Before he could drop the bomb that he had a son, they got distracted by talk of their baby, with Nick concerned that Bridget shouldn't be working at the hospital. Bridget said it was the "emotional stress" she had to be worried about, not work stress. She wished for a boring year and asked him to put off whatever he had to tell her so they could have one quiet night. Then, she shared the news that her pregnancy issues were less serious than at first believed and that they'd been cleared for intercourse — which they then had, but a nervous Nick wasn't quite glowing afterwards. He begged Bridget to remember how they'd come through their troubles this year if and when they faced a new one. "I don't want to lose you," he said. She promised they could handle anything, but he looked worried.
