At the Christmas party, Massimo happily held Felicia's baby and remarked how he'd never gotten to hold Dominick like that. And, oh no, oh no, please no ... almost the entire group broke into a tepid version of "Jingle Bells." Ack!

Bridget was surprised when the reverend showed up and asked if she and Nick are "trying" again to get married. Shockingly, the rev did not run for the hills upon hearing the singing. Felicia explained that she wants her son baptized. The rev agreed to do so and she named Eric and Jackie the godparents. They were thrilled, but the infant was not, as he wailed and wailed at the news. Aww....

Everyone gathered around as the baby was christened. After, Felicia gave Nick the very thoughtful gift of a guitar. This recapper wouldn't even be surprised if he put it to use on the show in the near future. Nick held Felicia in his arms. Aaand ... sure enough, Nick broke out the guitar in the next scene and got right down to singing for the party-goers. And, oh, man ... at this point, everyone joined in. People, leave the singing to Nick, 'kay? Unless Macy returns. Macy can hold her own when it comes to that.

Outside, Felicia and Stephanie bonded. Felicia joked that she wouldn't stop being a horrible daughter if Steph promised not to stop being a horrible mother.

Later, over a shot of everyone stuffing food in their faces, Felicia tearfully declared it the perfect day. The scene cut to her with Bridget at her side ... and the sisters hugged.

A depressed Stephanie stared at Felicia's ornament on the Christmas tree. Brooke arrived to tell La Forrester how sorry she was about Felicia. Steph rebuffed the gesture and asked Brooke to leave. "Are you sure you're all right?" asked Brooke. Steph lamented about her dying child and Brooke recalled how her mother battled cancer. "Beth survived, my daughter is not going to," Stephanie huffed. Before leaving, Brooke left behind a poem that had special meaning for Stephanie's situation. Steph read it and was touched by the words.

Nick surprised Jackie with the news that she has a grandson. She was sad to hear about Felicia's condition. Jackie also agreed to spend Christmas at Stephanie's house but worried that Eric and his ex-wife weren't through with each other. After Nick left, Eric showed up, depressed about his sick daughter. Jackie conceded that their relationship was in limbo because his family needed him. Eric insisted that he needed Jackie but she wasn't convinced. She recalled how humiliated she was when Eric announced he had married Brooke He then laid a passionate kiss on Jackie.

Nick returned home to find Bridget decorating the tree. He then presented her with an early Christmas gift: a double stroller. Nick affirmed that he already received his present when Bridget agreed to raise his son. They then hung up the new family stockings.

As Eric decorated the tree, Stephanie lamented what a lousy Christmas it's going to be. "It will be with an attitude like that," Eric pointed out. Steph couldn't help but think about their daughter's declining health but Eric said it was up to them to make this a memorable holiday. The exes agreed to put their differences aside for Felicia's sake. Stephanie announced she would raise her grandson if Bridget turned down Felicia's request.

"I don't know how I'm going to thank you, Bridget," Felicia smiled now that her sister agreed to raise Dominick. Bridget's attitude greatly brightened about the future, but she urged Felicia to enjoy what time she had left. Bridget then wanted to know all she could about her big sis so she could tell Dominick all about his mom. "You're going to be more than a picture on the piano," Bridget promised and the siblings tearfully bonded. Felicia was released from the hospital and she went home to find her parents festooning the place. Eric met his grandson for the first time and Felicia happily informed her mother that Dominick will go live with Bridget and Nick "when the time comes."

Nick reminded Brooke that he knew what it was like to raise someone else's child because of Hope. Brooke was still worried if Bridget was up for the task. Bridget returned home and told a thrilled Nick that they will become Dominick's parents. "I'm so happy for you, sweetheart," Brooke gushed unconvincingly.

Tuesday, December 20, 2005
Bridget emerged from the bedroom as Nick was feeding his son breakfast. Bridget pointed out that if she agreed to raise Dominick, she would have to give up her dream of their child growing up in a scandal-free childhood, the kind that she was robbed of. She offered to take Dominick in to visit his mom at the hospital. After she left, Brooke showed up and worried if her daughter could take on such a responsibility. "I feel sorry for Felicia," noted Brooke. "But you can't raise a child on sympathy."

As Stephanie prepared to decorate her tree, she was haunted by Felicia's condition. "I can't do this," Stephanie cried. Eric showed up with holiday provisions and Steph lamented she didn't feel like celebrating Christmas when their daughter is so ill. Eric declared they would get through this holiday together.

At the hospital, Felicia wondered to Taylor what Bridget's decision will be. "I don't have a lot of time," worried Felicia. "But the question is, can she love my child?" Taylor explained that Bridget has gone through a lot lately and she might not be up for the challenge of rearing someone else's child. Taylor left and Bridget arrived with Dominick. "There's only one answer I can give to you," Bridget asserted then announced that she would be Dominick's mother and Felicia cried grateful tears.

"He likes you Bridget," Felicia commented as her sister held Dominick. Bridget and Nick took the baby back to their house. "I can't do this," Bridget suddenly shuddered. She wailed that Felicia's request to raise Dominick was, "too much." Nick tried to comfort his wife, but Bridget was overcome with guilt over her selfish feelings. Nick assured they would take this one step at a time.

Taylor invited Brooke and her children over to spend Christmas day with her family. Taylor mentioned that she also extended the same invitation to Eric and Stephanie. "It wouldn't be Christmas if it wasn't dysfunctional," Tay smiled then admitted that she needed to stop looking at Brooke as her rival. Both women agreed that they had a lot in common as mothers.

Eric and Stephanie visited Felicia and she informed her parents that the cancer had spread and she refused any further treatment. "It's too late," she cried. Mom and Dad strongly disagreed and Stephanie charged out of the room to find a doctor. "She couldn't control my life, now she thinks she's in charge of my death," Felicia joked to Eric. He apologized for all the time they didn't spend together but she told him not to beat himself up. Stephanie returned and Felicia asked for a family Christmas.
