B&B Recaps Week of Feb. 27, 2006
Friday, March 3, 2006
As Taylor was pouring herself another glass of wine, Stephanie called with the news that Ridge's wedding hit a snag. Eric berated his wife for making the call and she hung up. Massimo announced that Brooke and Ridge should be married and started to charge upstairs to get Nick out of the way. Jackie ordered him to stay put as she and Stephanie agreed that Brooke is destined to end up with Nick. Eric grew impatient and went up to get an update. Stephanie followed.
Ridge sympathized with what he thought was Bridget's public humiliation but she informed him that she was the one who convinced Nick to come after Brooke. Ridge was shocked to hear Bridget declare that Brooke and Nick belong together. "I can't believe I'm hearing this," Ridge spat. Eric and Stephanie burst in. "What the hell is going on in here?" he demanded. Nick asked to have a few minutes alone with Brooke but Ridge refused. "Tell him that you love me," he urged Brooke.
Thomas theorized that if the wedding didn't happen, his parents could reunite. Taylor disagreed. "I'm really tired of constantly spending my life in competition with Brooke," she said. Thomas wouldn't let go of the hope that his dad and mom could find their ways back to each other. Taylor poured herself more to drink but her son was oblivious to it.

Ridge pounded on the door of Brooke's bedroom, as Nick grabbed Brooke and passionately kissed her. He wouldn't let her out of the room until she listened to him. He tried to tell her that Bridget wanted them to be together. Brooke screamed at him to stop. "It's over with Bridget, and she's okay with that... She told me to stop this wedding," he said. Brooke told Ridge everything was fine. "There is going to be a wedding today, but it might not be his," Nick said, as Ridge went down to tell the guests there would be a short delay. She told Nick to get out, to stop doing this to her.
Dante told Bridget that Brooke wouldn't believe that she gave her permission for her mom to be with Nick. He offered to drive her over to explain herself. Later, Dante pictured going home and finding Bridget at his place, where they took their relationship up a notch.
"Forrester weddings rarely go smoothly," Darla told Thorne. Everyone was very upset that Nick was hurting Bridget by chasing after Brooke. Ridge said he was giving Nick and Brooke a few minutes to handle this. Stephanie told Ridge that Brooke was saying she was in love with Nick loud and clear. Thorne advised Ridge to not take Stephanie's words to heart. Eric told Steph to stay out of the situation. Bridget ran in and asked where Nick was. She charged upstairs to Brooke's bedroom. Jackie wanted to know what Stephanie said to Bridget to make her take this action. Steph said she told Bridget to let Nick go, because "she deserves a man who loves her, not her mother."
In Brooke's room, Bridget told her mom she was so glad she arrived before Brooke made the biggest mistake of her life by marrying Ridge. She admitted that she wished things turned out differently for her and Nick, but that losing Nicole made her look at her life more honestly. "Truth is, you would not be marrying Ridge today if Nick was available. He's available." Brooke told them she was going down to see Ridge, Bridget demanded honesty from her mom about who she really loved. "It's okay mom, my marriage is over." She took off her ring, "You're free to be together." Ridge came in and told Nick to get out. "Come on, the minister's waiting," he said. Brooke hesitated.

Bridget finally convinced Nick that their marriage was kaput and asked for a last dance. "I'll always love you," Bridget whispered after their waltz. Eric called to announced Brooke's wedding had begun. Bridget urged Nick to stop it and he rushed out. Dante arrived and she told him the status of her marriage. "I'm so sorry," Dante offered, but she questioned his sincerity. He explained the reason why he came was so they could spend time with Dominick together. "I'd really like that," Bridget smiled.
Brooke began her umpteenth walk down the aisle. As she strolled to the strains of the wedding march, Brooke glared at Stephanie, who rolled her eyes. The minister asked if there was anyone present who didn't think the ceremony should proceed. "I'm sure there is," Brooke declared while staring down Steph. "But she better keep her mouth shut." The bridge and broom exchanged their own vows, much to Stephanie's disdain (although Jackie looked pleased with the dowager's uneasiness). Ridge placed a ring on Brooke's finger "I gave you this ring with every bit of my heart," he growled. As the minister was about to pronounce them husband and wife, Nick burst through the door, threw Brooke over his shoulder and carried her upstairs. Ridge tried to give chase but Stephanie grabbed hold of him. Nick ran into Brooke's bedroom and locked the door. Brooke demanded to know what he was up to, but Nick drew her into a passionate kiss. At first, she resisted, then gave in. Ridge pounded on the door. "Why are you doing this?" Brooke asked her captor.

Ridge excitedly observed the wedding preparations in Brooke's living room. Eric voiced his trepidation about the rushed ceremony. As guests arrived, Jackie informed Massimo, Sally, Thorne and Darla that Dominick wasn't Nick's son. "The last thing Ridge and Brooke need today is a family crisis," lamented Thorne.
As Brooke got ready upstairs, Hope announced she wanted her Mommy to marry Nick. When Brooke said she couldn't, Hope didn't want to attend but Brooke assured her daughter that everything would be perfect. After Hope left the room, Stephanie steamrolled in. "Are you absolutely sure you want to spend the rest of your life with my son?" Steph queried. Brooke was aghast as Stephanie tried to convince the bride her destiny was with Nick. An angry Ridge showed up and once again ejected Mom. He shared a smooch with Brooke and left. Downstairs, Stephanie received a mysterious phone call. The ceremony began and Brooke happily appeared at the top of the stairs.
Nick returned to the beach house and declared his devotion to his wife, but Bridget reminded him that he's really in love with her mother. Nick insisted he wanted to save his marriage, but Bridget wasn't swayed. "I can love you and still let you go," Bridget stated and gave her blessing for Nick to start a life with Brooke. For emphasis, she removed his wedding band and told her shocked husband that Brooke was marrying Ridge, "unless you stop her."

A miffed Stephanie urged Ridge to put away the engagement ring but he ignored his mother. "The only thing I could think about night and day was getting you back," Ridge cooed. "Tell me that you'll marry me." Brooke then declared she had a few "conditions" that needed to be met before she gave her answer. Once Ridge heard them and agreed, Brooke accepted his proposal and he slipped the ring on her finger... much to Stephanie's chagrin. Ridge wanted to tie the knot the next day; Brooke consented. "You're a bigger idiot than Eric ever was," Stephanie groused, so Ridge kicked her out. "She is going to cause trouble," Brooke predicted. They went upstairs to look at their son R.J. "I don't regret loving you for one minute," Brooke confessed to her fiancé and he was very grateful that she was taking him back.
Bridget whined to Nick about how their plans for a family never work out. "We both know the truth is we never had the right marriage," she noted. "Your heart isn't in this because your heart is somewhere else." Nick strongly disagreed, but Bridget pushed him to admit that he's still in love with her mother. "Let me go," she whispered. "This is the hardest thing I've ever asked you to do." She then suggested that Nick go sleep on his boat to mull her proposition and he reluctantly left. Stephanie showed up and announced that Ridge and Brooke were getting married tomorrow. Steph advised an incredulous Bridget to let Nick go so he can be with Brooke.
