B&B Recaps Week of May 29, 2006

Eric, Stephanie and Ridge were stunned by Brooke's decision to fire them. Ridge thought she must be joking, but Brooke was dead serious explaining that she had no other choice. Stephanie didn't buy it and reminded her that everyone has choices. Brooke denied Ridge's accusation that Stephen and Nick were just using her as a way to get revenge. Stephanie assured Brooke that she's finally accepted her. A doubtful Brooke was sure it would be just a matter of time before Stephanie turned on her again. Stephanie reminded Brooke that the family almost lost Ridge because of their feud, and then pulled Brooke into a big hug.
Over at Massimo's, Jackie was thrilled to hear about Nick and Brooke's plan. Meanwhile, Felicia, draped in a sheet, was in her I'm-ready-to-be-sculpted pose, yet the sculptor, Dante, was acting odd and distant. Felicia wondered if he was still mad an her because of what she told Bridget. No, he said, "forget about it." But Dante couldn't focus and walked out for a moment. Christian showed up and asked Felicia out for lunch. Felicia pulled him into a kiss. Dante returned and told Chris to take his hands off her.
Stephen showed up at Taylor’s door, looking for the watch he left there last night. She thanked him for the flowers he sent. Enter Stephanie. "You sold the stock I gave you!" she proclaimed, and added that Taylor had now destroyed any relationship she still had with the Forresters. "Brooke fired us!" Steph fumed. Taylor was silent. It was clear to Stephanie that Taylor already knew. "Your drinking problem must be more serious than I realized!" she snapped. Stephen let Steph know she no longer has any power, and her days of abusing the Logans are over.
Ridge wondered if all this was payback for the way he'd treated Brooke. She said it wasn’t and begged him to look at this from Nick's point of view. She loves him and they’re going to be married. Ridge pleaded with her to forget Nick and her father, and to come back to him. Nick arrived, eager to see if their plan had worked. Ridge pleaded with her to choose the Forresters, so she could finally be part of the family. Nick made it clear that if Brooke stayed, she’d do so without him. A teary-eyed Brooke told Nick she was sorry, but she couldn’t fire the Forresters after all.

The morning after, Taylor and Stephen were surprised they spent the night together. She was trying to make sense of the situation, he advised her to stop over analyzing. "If you need to be convinced, then I'm happy to oblige you," Stephen declared and kissed Taylor. She couldn't help but glow about their session of sex and they jumped between the sheets again. After Stephen left, Taylor was later surpised to receive a delivery of beautiful flowers from him.
Ridge, Stephanie, Eric and Thorne gathered in Brooke's office to welcome her. As they were waiting, Steph got ticked when she tried to call Taylor but got no answer. Ridge advised his mother to allow Taylor to calm down but everyone wondered what was keeping Brooke. "Do you think she's having second thoughts?" posed Thorne but Stephanie scoffed at that idea. Ridge hoped the magic of working side by side with Brooke again would bring them back together.
Brooke was anxious about Nick's proposal to fire the Forresters. "You have got to get these people out of the company and out of your lives," he urged and recounted the successes she alone brought to Forrester Creations. "I can't do it," Brooke admitted. Nick gave her another pep talk ("I'll be beside you every step of the way") but Brooke still had second thoughts. Stephen showed up and congratulated his daughter. "I finally came up with a way to make up for all the pain I caused my little girl," he cheered but observed her reluctance. Stephen impressed on Brooke that axing the Forresters is her only choice and Nick agreed. She left without revealing her decision but was surprised by the Forrester family's warm greeting when she entered her office. Brooke revealed that she now has control of Taylor's stock. "As CEO and major stockholder of this company, I'm terminating your contracts,"she announced. "You're fired."

With Hope’s help, Nick prepared a special outdoor candlelight dinner to celebrate Brooke’s new position at Forrester. A beaming Brooke arrived and thanked him for his support. Nick and Brooke joked that this was less of a celebratory dinner and more of a seduction. Nick then presented Brooke with his and Stephen’s “gift” — 2 percent more stock in Forrester. Brooke was stunned as Nick explained how Stephen and Nick got Taylor to sell her stock to them. Nick encouraged Brooke that now she’s in the position to do whatever she wants to with the company — and floated the idea that she no longer has to work with the Forresters if she doesn’t want to. Brooke was overwhelmed by Nick’s suggestion, but he insisted that she needs to fire the Forresters before they manipulate her and come between them. Brooke quietly contemplated Nick’s “request.”
Bridget flipped out when Ridge told her that Stephanie gave Brooke half of the company, and couldn’t believe that her mother would accept such an offer, unless Brooke and Nick had broken up. Ridge explained that Brooke was about to reject the offer until Nick had a change of heart and decided to give Brooke his blessing. Ridge and Bridget debated and speculated on Brooke’s priorities and intentions. Ridge asserted his confidence that he will reconcile with Brooke. Bridget disagreed with Ridge’s assessment that Nick’s change of heart doesn’t make him a desperate man, and angrily insisted that rather, it makes Nick the kind of man she thinks her mother deserves.
Alone in her apartment, Taylor sat in the dark licking her wounds and drowning her sorrows in wine. As she emptied the rest of her glass, Stephen arrived. He told Taylor that Nick paid her double for her stock, but said the real reason he came by was to make sure she was OK. Stephen reassured Taylor that she’s not alone and that he cares about her. Stephen told her she’s spent her whole life thinking about other people and now it’s time for her to finally start thinking about herself. Taylor admitted this is the first time in her life that she didn’t have any goals or plans for herself. Stephen suggested that facing a blank page can be liberating and exciting, and encouraged her to appreciate the excitement that the future brings. Taylor she has nothing more to look forward to: she’s peaked in her career, her husband is gone, her children are grown and she’s alone in a big house. Stephen sweetly told her that she’s not alone — that he’s here for her, and he gently kissed her.

Brooke was flabbergasted by Nick’s sudden blessing on her becoming CEO of Forrester Creations. Nick explained that all he wants is for her to be happy. Brooke thanked him and promised him that he wouldn’t regret his change of heart. After Nick left, Brooke formally accepted the Forresters’ offer, much to Ridge, Eric and Stephanie’s jubilee. Ridge hugged Brooke and told her she was “home at last.” Ridge, Eric and Stephanie asked Brooke what made Nick change his mind, but she wasn’t sure. Thorne and Darla joined them in Eric’s office to celebrate just as Eric happily relinquished his office to Brooke. Brooke thanked everyone and said how much this all means to her, especially now that she has Stephanie’s blessing. Stephanie declared that Brooke is now part of their family and vowed that none of them would ever forget it. She and Brooke hugged and embraced before the entire family. Later, alone in her new office with Ridge, the two talked excitedly about their plans for the company and the future, and hugged.
At Marone Industries, Nick met with Stephen, who handed him Taylor’s two percent stock in Forrester Creations to give Brooke controlling interest in the company. Stephen explained to Nick that Taylor changed her mind about the stock after Stephanie slapped her. Nick eagerly summoned his lawyers to check out the validity of the paperwork. Stephen told Nick Brooke’s first order of business will be to fire Eric, Ridge and Stephanie. After the lawyers confirmed the legality of Taylor’s stock transfer to Brooke, Nick instructed his lawyers to process the transfer and to pay Taylor double the price of the stock, as he savored the Forresters’ imminent downfall.
Christian and Felicia flirtatiously “played doctor and patient” and kissed while Christian was trying to give her a legitimate exam. Felicia asked Christian about her prognosis, and he told her she is so well she no longer needs her physician to live under the same roof. Christian told Felicia he was going to miss her. Felicia told him if it weren’t for him she wouldn’t be around. Christian became candid with Felicia and told her that in the process of becoming a doctor he lost sight of his patients as people. But she reminded him what it means to really care about his patients and people. Christian added that he took her mother up on her offer to move in with Felicia so he could get to know Felicia better. Christian told Felicia he became enamored of her after watching the DVD Stephanie made for him of her. Felicia came clean with Christian and admitted her attraction to and interest in him, but said she needed to give things a shot with her baby’s biological father to see if things could work out among them as a family. Christian graciously agreed with her decision and said he understood, but admitted he regretted having to move out. After exchanging some flirtatious repartee the two of them kissed again.
