Jackie, Bridget, Dante and Rick worried if there was going to be a wedding or not. Jackie tried her best to detain the justice of the peace but he had other obligations for the day. Bridget was upset when her brother wanted to head out to the airport and catch a flight back to Milan.

Ridge feared that Brooke would blame him for her naked ad, but Stephanie assured him that she'll take the rap. Massimo called Steph with the news that the wedding appeared to be on hold and not cancelled. She immediately urged Ridge to go find Brooke at the marina but he refused. He maintained that Brooke needed to come back to him on her own. Massimo phoned back and happily informed that he witnessed the justice of the peace exit. Steph clucked to her son that they were successful in stopping the nups.

"Why do I feel like I keep apologizing for things I don't think are wrong?" asked Brooke but Nick still refused to understand her perspective and they continued to argue. "I don't want those people to keep messing up our lives," Nick groused but Brooke insisted that she was going to continue to push the envelope where here career was concerned. "I want you to be sure that I love you," she stated. "I just don't want to do everything your way." The justice of the peace showed up and announced that he had to leave. Brooke apologized for the ceremony snafu. "You might not want to leave just yet," Nick announced, which surprised Brooke. The trio returned to the park to continue with the ceremony but Brooke was concerned that their problems hadn't been resolved. "You're going to be you, I'm going to be me," Nick pointed out. "You are it for me and that's all I know." They exchanged their vows ("You're it for me too, Buster," Brooke smiled) and were declared husband and wife. "We did it!" Nick exclaimed and they locked lips. A thrilled Jackie watched from afar and called Stephanie. "Brooke and my son are married!" Jackie announced. Ridge was devastated when his mother shared the news. Nick and Brooke excitedly boarded his boat and sailed out of the harbor as a somber Bridget looked on.

"Is that you?!" Nick demanded when he saw the promotional poster of an unclothed Brooke. She said yes, but explained she had killed the ad campaign. As Stephanie and Massimo watched from afar, Nick stormed off. "You better tell Ridge he wound up in the batter's box," Mass proudly declared. Brooke chased after her runaway groom and the guests adjourned to Chuck's bar. Jackie fumed that Stephanie had to be behind the ad showing up, but was certain Nick would calm down. Rick didn't think the ad was that offensive, but Bridget pointed out that their mom and Nick have already been having problems.

At Forrester Creations, a pensive Ridge was poring over photos of he and Brooke together when she suddenly burst in. "You were right Ridge," sobbed Brooke. "I couldn't do it.... I was wrong." They melted into each other's arms and began to kiss passionately. Oops! Ridge was just daydreaming. Stephanie showed up and announced the wedding was off because Nick bolted from the altar. Ridge was surprised when his mom disclosed how she got that to happen. Steph was sure that by the end of the day, Brooke would come back to Ridge.

Nick sought refuge on his boat and Brooke soon followed. She promised the ads would come down. "I didn't sign up to marry a naked pin-up girl!" he raged. He continued to blast Brooke for letting the Forresters come between them again, then became unglued when she didn't feel exploited. In fact, she even proclaimed how proud she was of her publicity photos. "When I look at that photo I don't see anything shameful, I see something artistic," Brooke defended, but Nick got even more hot under the collar upon learning that Ridge was present at the racy photo shoot. Brooke then got angry at Nick's hardline stance. "I'm not going to change," Brooke stated. "I'm proud of who I am." She suggested they end their relationship right then and there if he couldn't accept her for the woman she is.

Via cell phone, Massimo reported to Stephanie that their plan was being put into action. After they hung up, Steph tried to convince Bridget that Brooke was doing the wrong thing by marrying Nick, but Bridget refused to believe what she was hearing. "She should be following her heart," Stephanie argued, but Bridget pointed out that's exactly what her mother was doing — with Nick.

As she was heading out to her wedding, Brooke found a ball and chain on her front step. "I will be your ball and chain for life," read the card. "I love you, Nick." She then flashbacked to the first time Ridge professed his love for her. Right on cue, Ridge showed up. "I swear I tried to accept your life with Nick," he insisted. "You're choosing security over love." Brooke disagreed, but he begged her to be honest before it's too late. Brooke responded by walking out the door and Ridge was obviously hurt. Stephanie appeared and cryptically assured her son that something will come up to stop the wedding. Ridge asked what his mother is up to and she simply reiterated her promise that she would do anything to reunite him with Brooke.

As Nick was jogging through the park where he was scheduled to marry Brooke, he noticed a couple of workers changing a nearby advertisement. He asked that they be snappy so it didn't interfere with his nups. After he left, the guys stepped back to observe their work: A huge ad of a near-nude Brooke.

At Chuck's bar, Bridget helped Brooke get ready. Brooke couldn't help but worry about Bridget's feelings about the wedding, but she assured her mom that she was fine. "I want you to be with him," Bridget smiled. She went to the park to gather with Jackie, Dante and Rick. They all spied the sexy ad featuring Brooke and freaked, just as Nick walked up. "What's the matter?" he asked, but before he could see the poster, the bride arrived by horse-drawn carriage and the ceremony began. Brooke suddenly spotted the sign and gasped. Nick looked in the same direction and saw it, too. "What is that?" he exclaimed.

Smarting from her sunburn, Bridget called her dad for help. Eric promised to send over some cream that should give relief. Felicia found out and tainted the cream. Bridget found a jar on her doorstep and assumed it was the delivery she was expecting from Eric. But after smearing the stuff on, Bridget panicked when her face suddenly went numb.

Taylor was caught off guard when Nick told her that Stephen and Jackie have slept together.... Brooke asked Nick to love her for who she is.

Felicia admitted to Christian that she slipped an ingredient into Bridget's cream that would cause numbness. The hunky doc was not happy with Felicia's childish behavior. Later, Felicia and Dante met the presenters of an art award he was going to receive. However, Felicia embarrassed him in front of the presenters by proclaiming that Dante broke her heart.

After a racy photo shoot, Brooke seriously contemplated using her nude pics in the new publicity campaign for Brooke's Bedroom. But after remembering how upset Nick has gotten over her association with the Forresters, she surprised Ridge by announcing the photos won't be used after all. Despite his attempts to change her mind, Brooke stood by her decision. She then went home and made love with Nick.

A sneaky Felicia sabotaged Bridget's sunscreen lotion by replacing it with baby oil. Oblivious to the switch, Dante applied it on a sunbathing Bridget. Not surprisingly, she became extremely sunburned.
