Brooke and Nick returned home from their honeymoon and asked Hope what she did while they were gone. Nick told Hope she doesn't have to call him Uncle Nick anymore; she can now call him Nick. When Hope asked why, Nick informed her that he'll now be living with them from now on. When Nick took Hope upstairs for a bedtime story, Bridget asked Brooke if she had a good time.

Thomas observed an empty wine bottle and used glass in the house and told Ridge he thinks they should be concerned about Taylor. Ridge conceded he's noticed Taylor's been drinking more lately but felt confident that Taylor isn't the kind of person who loses control. Ridge asked Thomas if he had suspicions why he didn't come to him sooner. Thomas said he didn't want to rat on his mother, and explained that Taylor had promised to dump all of her booze.

Thorne freaked out while Hector and his EMT partner stabilized Darla and prepared to take her to the hospital. Thorne demanded to know if Darla would be OK, but Hector didn't answer him. Hector invited Thorne to ride along in the ambulance with them while Phoebe escorted a distraught Taylor back to her car. As Phoebe drove them to the hospital, Taylor freaked out at the potential consequences of her actions. At the hospital, Christian took control of Darla's case and ordered a round of tests for Darla. When Taylor and Phoebe arrived at the hospital they confronted Hector who admitted that Darla never regained consciousness. Taylor admitted that she was the one who hit Darla. Hector consoled her and said it was just an accident. Taylor broke down and confessed that she had been drinking. Phoebe called Ridge to tell him Darla was in an accident. Ridge and Thomas left for the hospital. Christian told Thorne that the CAT scan showed a fracture in Darla's skull, and that the neurologist would be in to speak with him shortly. Christian warned that if Darla starts bleeding from the fracture they wouldn't be able to operate until it was too late. Thorne kept a tearful vigil at Darla's bedside while Taylor silently wept outside Darla's room window. Hector called in a favor and asked someone at the police department to run Taylor's plate. Hector was startled to learn Taylor has a past DUI. Ridge and Thomas met up with Taylor and Phoebe at the hospital. Ridge hugged Thorne, who explained the extent of Darla's injuries. Ridge asked what happened to the GUY who hit Darla. Thorne said he got away, and asked what kind of a person would do something like this, as Taylor broke down. Taylor snuck into Darla's room and apologized to a comatose Darla as she cried at her beside, begging God to let Darla live and tearfully taking responsibility for the accident — just as Thorne walked in.

Phoebe was confronted by a menacing-looking stranger who offered to help her with her flat, while Taylor desperately tried to make her way to Phoebe in the fog. Phoebe sought refuge back inside the car and locked herself inside as the stranger knocked on her windows. When the coast seemed clear Phoebe dashed out to retrieve her cell phone on the ground.

Darla and Thorne marveled at what a fine time everyone was having at Alexandria's birthday party. Clarke delighted Alexandria by dressing up as a clown, while Thomas recorded the party with a video camera. Ridge, Thomas, Eric and Stephanie thanked Darla for a great time before calling it a night. Sally said she figured Thorne and Darla could use some time alone after all the work they put into Alexandria's party. Sally took Alexandria home with her. Home alone, Darla recorded birthday wishes to Alexandria on the video camera for posterity. Darla received a call from Phoebe, telling her she's stranded waiting for her mom to arrive. When Darla learned of the creepy guy menacing her and realized Phoebe's location was within close proximity, Darla told Phoebe she was on her way.

Back at home, Thomas asked Ridge if he still loves Taylor. Ridge admitted he did, but doesn't want to make things more difficult for Taylor than he already has. Thomas suggested maybe they all just need to spend more time together as a family. Sally called Stephanie and suggested they throw Darla a big birthday bash. Darla arrived where Phoebe was stranded. Phoebe asked if they should leave a note on the windshield for Taylor, but Darla said she could easily change the tire for Phoebe. As Darla attempted to loosen the last lug nut on the flat tire, Taylor drove her car into Darla. Darla was thrown onto Taylor's windshield. Taylor freaked out and slammed on her brakes, sending Darla flying off her windshield and onto the ground as a horrified Taylor and Phoebe looked on. Phoebe and Taylor rushed to Darla's aid. Taylor yelled for Phoebe to call 911 as Taylor cried over Darla's body. Hector arrived on the scene. He and his partner began treating Darla as Thorne arrived on the scene. Thorne was horrified to see that the person Hector was treating on the roadside was Darla.

Ridge and Taylor parted from their embrace and he again apologized for the grief he's caused. She said it was unfair that Nick and Brooke ended up together and happy. "I'm determined to move on," vowed Taylor and Ridge hoped she would meet someone who will not let her down like he did. Thomas appeared but couldn't convince his mom to come to Alexandria's birthday party, so he and his dad left together.

Darla was blown away by how Thorne and Sally decorated the house for the party. Forresters started to arrive and the bash got underway. "Who says there's no such thing as happily ever after?" an elated Sally clucked to Stephanie. As Thomas videotaped the festivities, a depressed Ridge stepped out onto the patio for air. Stephanie followed and announced that she wasn't going to allow Brooke to keep the Forrester stock now that she chose to be with Nick. After cutting the birthday cake, Darla expressed her love and gratitude to everyone in the room. "I love you all more than words can possibly say," she sobbed.

While driving to Thorne's house, Phoebe suspected she missed the turn to his road. She called Taylor to ask for directions and Mom advised her how to get back on track. After they hung up, A despondent Taylor stared at a bottle of wine. Phoebe later called back to report that she got a flat tire. Phoebe suddenly dropped her phone when a man confronted her. "Do you need some help, sweetheart?" he asked. When Phoebe didn't answer, Taylor became alarmed and rushed out of the house.

Thorne consoled Ridge as he lamented seeing Brooke and Nick's wedding photo in the newspaper's style section. Thorne insisted that Brooke loves Ridge, who said he deserves what's happened to him. Thorne rejected the idea that Ridge is being punished by karma, and suggested that maybe there's somebody else out there. Thorne remarked how much Darla has changed his life for the better. Darla joined them and helped console Ridge. Thorne and Darla invited Ridge to get his mind off his troubles by attending Alexandria's birthday party.

Thomas tried to hide the wedding photo from Taylor, but she already saw the newspaper. Taylor welcomed Phoebe home. Phoebe asked permission to borrow a car to go visit her friends. After Phoebe left, Thomas expressed his concern to Taylor about her drinking and her social withdrawal. Taylor confessed that she's worried about herself, too. Thomas suggested she call Ridge. Taylor said she can't do that. When Thomas suggested counseling, Taylor insisted she could clean up her act and take care of herself. Thomas said he just wants her to be happy. After Thomas left, Taylor picked up a bottle of wine and looked at it. As she began to pour all her booze down the drain the doorbell rang — Darla arrived. Taylor admitted to Darla about Thomas' concerns and told her she's dumping all her liquor now. Darla apologized for not being closer when they were legally related as in-laws. Darla told Taylor how much Ridge is hurting right now. Darla invited Taylor to Alexandria's birthday party. When Taylor learned Ridge was going to be there, she politely declined. Darla declared to make a pact with Taylor to be sisters and friends and be there for each other. The two women shared an emotional embrace.

Instead of visiting friends, Phoebe actually visited Ridge at work instead. Ridge was delighted to see her. Phoebe suggested that now Brooke is out of the picture he should come home and get back with Taylor. Phoebe said that Taylor is too proud to admit that she needs him. Ridge agreed to accompany Phoebe to Alexandria's birthday party, and gave her money to get a gift. Phoebe told Ridge she loves him no matter what happens. Thorne thanked Darla for reaching out to Ridge. Darla sympathized and said that what Ridge really needs is Taylor. Thorne asked Darla if he thought there was still a chance between Ridge and Taylor. Darla wasn't sure after everything Ridge has put her through. Ridge paid Taylor a visit. Taylor expressed her condolences to Ridge for things not working out with Brooke. Taylor broke down and questioned the point of her life and how things have ended up for the both of them. Ridge consoled Taylor as she cried on his shoulder.

On the Marlin, Nick and Brooke basked in their matrimonial afterglow. Nick took Brooke ashore where a beautiful canopy bed covered by a net and circled with torches and candles waited for them on the beach. Nick and Brooke built a fire on the beach and made drinks and enjoyed a romantic evening together. Things quickly turned from romantic to erotic as Nick and Brooke ripped each other's clothes off and began to make love. After having sex the two of them snuggled on their beachfront bed and gazed at the stars. Brooke said she finally feels like she's home. Nick told her she was, and they slowly kissed and cuddled.

Felicia flipped out when Dante and Bridget forgot it was their night with Dino. Felicia laughed at the prospect that Bridget caught the wedding bouquet, and corrected Bridget that the baby's name is Dominick. Felicia asked Dante if he was going to fall in love with a spoiled brat, why not her? Felicia warned Dante that Bridget will drop him like a hot potato once Nick is free. Felicia and Stephanie lamented Nick and Brooke's nuptials. Felicia admitted that living every day as if it was her last is taking its toll because it makes her feel like she needs everything ASAP. Felicia realized she needs to start living her life as if she has years ahead of her. Bridget expressed her worries to Dante that Brooke and Nick are a horribly mismatched couple, and feared that Nick was close to his limit of how much more Forrester machinations he can stomach. Dante declared that Bridget will never fully be over Nick, but he said he accepts that because he knows Nick was there for her during a very vulnerable and crucial period in her life. Dante told Bridget to chill out and stop being her mother's mom and let Brooke take care of herself. He also suggested that Bridget be more sensitive toward Felicia. Bridget thanked Dante for being such a sweet and friendly guy.

Home alone, Felicia looked at herself in the mirror and questioned what she has to live for. She thanked God for her son and her second chance, but said now she needs a life, not just a pulse. She flashed back to her times with Dante, and declared that she wants Dante back.
