Ridge told Stephanie that Brooke resigned as model from the bedroom line. Stephanie was optimistic that Brooke might change her mind, but Ridge told her she already picked a replacement — Donna. Stephanie flipped out and questioned what Donna knows about modeling. Ridge said he's going to stop designing for the line because Brooke was his inspiration. Brooke offered Donna the modeling job. Nick told Donna her sister is counting on her. Donna insisted that the public wants to see Brooke out there, not her. Brooke said she could trust Donna to succeed. Donna said she knows Brooke and she saw the look on Brooke's face when she first came downstairs to practice modeling. Brooke conceded she's sentimental, but declared that she's starting a new chapter in her life. Donna said if it weren't for Nick, Brooke wouldn't need Donna to replace her. Donna warned Brooke that she's making the biggest mistake of her life by giving up Ridge and her modeling for Nick. Brooke said she had an amazing love story with Ridge but it's over. Brooke told Donna she knows Donna is going to make her proud as her replacement. Nick was happy to learn that Donna accepted the job. Nick asked her to go to bed. Brooke said she'd join him in a minute. Alone, she started having flashbacks to her kiss on the runway with Ridge.

Donna went to Forrester to begin practicing on the runway. Ridge admired her practicing from the doorway and congratulated Donna, who told Ridge Brooke is holding a press conference tomorrow morning to announce the transition. Ridge told Donna she'd be fine. Ridge revealed he's not going to design the Brooke's Bedroom line anymore. Donna pleaded with him to reconsider. Donna admitted how much she's admired Ridge her whole life. Donna said the passion and love she's witnessed between Ridge and Brooke has given her something to aspire to in her own life. Donna managed to get Ridge to reconsider and remain as the line's designer. Donna offered to help Ridge anytime he ever needed or wanted anything, and told him to let her be "his Logan" before she kissed him.

Bridget admonished Felicia for sticking her nose into her and Dante's private business. Felicia asserted that as Dominick's mother she has a right to know whether Dominick will be having a sibling. Dante told Bridget to just go ahead and reveal the results. Bridget announced that she wasn't pregnant. After Felicia left, a disappointed Dante asked Bridget if the home tests are reliable, and admitted that he was already thinking about names for the baby. Bridget conceded she was actually relieved she wasn't pregnant, which upset Dante. Bridget said she hoped to have time for them to enjoy as a couple first, to get to know each other better. Dante scoffed at that, and angrily asked Bridget if he was wrong. Bridget said she know she's doing a 180 and asked Dante to be patient. Dante said all he ever has been is patient with her. Dante demanded to know if Bridget wants a life with him or if he's wasting his time. When Bridget tried to assuage Dante's concerns he told her he wanted to be alone and told her to go. Felicia arrived to see Dante, who told Felicia that Bridget was relieved that she wasn't pregnant. Felicia told Dante that he'll never be happy with Bridget, and when he realizes that she'll be waiting for him. Dante and Felicia began to kiss.

Donna questioned Brooke's reasoning in wanting her to become the new model for Brooke's Bedroom. Donna accused Brooke of still being in love with Ridge, and that's why she wants Donna to take over as model so she can keep herself away from Ridge. Donna asked Brooke if Nick can make her as happy as Ridge can. Brooke insisted she was happy with Nick and in love with him, and asked Donna why she can't believe that. Donna said she knows better because she knows Brooke has been in love with Ridge her whole life. Donna insisted that Brooke's newly charted course with Captain Nick won't make her happy. Brooke told Nick that Donna is considering Nick's idea for her to become the model for Brooke's Bedroom. With Nick's encouragement, Brooke helped an awkward Donna practice runway walking. Brooke coached Donna to lighten up and have more fun with it. When she overdid it, Brooke warned her to not act like she was "walking the streets." Donna finally seemed to get it, and impressed Brooke and Nick. Donna phoned Ridge and told him of Brooke's plans to hire her as Brooke's replacement as the model. Donna told Ridge her suspicions that Brooke is trying to avoid Ridge because she's not really over him. Downstairs Nick urged Brooke to hire Donna so that the Forresters would no longer have a hold on her. Brooke agreed.

Dante consoled Bridget over Darla's death. Bridget fondly remembered Darla as the one person she could always talk to in the midst of any crisis or problem. Bridget was upset at the prospect that their future kids won't have Darla as an aunt. Dante and Bridget started kissing passionately, and moved to the bedroom and made love. Dante asked if Bridget remember the last time she had her period. They eagerly agreed that Bridget would take a pregnancy test. After buying the test kit, Bridget pondered the possibility that she might really be pregnant. Meanwhile, Dante ran into Felicia at Forrester, who was helping out during Thorne's absence. Felicia happily surprised Dante by presenting him with Dino. Felicia then got the women in the sewing room to baby-sit Dino. Dante didn't seem thrilled at the prospect of the two of them alone together in the office. Felicia remarked that she didn't get rid of Dino to jump Dante's bones. Bridget burst in and announced to Dante she had the results of their test. Bridget asked Felicia if she could give them some privacy, but Felicia refused and insisted on hearing the results as well.

Thorne vented to Taylor about his feelings and frustrations over Darla's death. He asked Taylor if she's ever helped to explain the death of a parent to a young child. Alexandria came into the room and presented Taylor with a "Get Well Soon, Mommy" card that she made for Darla. Thorne expressed regret for not having Alexandria at Darla's funeral, and worried that Alexandria would later hate him for excluding her from her mother's funeral. Taylor reassured Thorne that he made the right choice, and explained that children Alexandria's age have a cartoonish sense of death. Alexandria returned with cookies to offer Taylor and Thorne. Alexandria then asked Thorne if her mommy was all better yet. Thorne sat Alexandria down and told her that Mommy tried really hard to get better but she didn't, and Mommy died. Thorne and Taylor explained that Darla was now in heaven, where people don't have bodies and can't be sick or be hurt anymore. Taylor added that Darla will always live on in Alexandria's heart. Thorne thanked Taylor for helping. Taylor said she was happy to help because it's the first time she's felt useful in a long time. Taylor offered to come back and help Thorne further if Alexandria had questions or difficulties. Alexandria then asked Thorne to sing her "Mommy's song." As Thorne sang, Alexandria drifted off to sleep as Taylor silently looked on from the doorway.

Donna paid Ridge a visit at work to check on him "since her big sister isn't allowed to." After exchanging some flirtatious repartee, Donna left to seek out Brooke. In her office, Brooke lightly admonished Nick for monitoring other people's behavior toward her, insisting she was a big girl who could take care of herself. Nick suggested that Donna take over as the model for Brooke's Bedroom line. Brooke said she'd consider his suggestion. The two got frisky as Donna arrived. Nick quickly excused himself. Donna quizzed Brooke on why she's not working directly with Ridge on the Brooke's Bedroom line. Brooke asked Donna if she could get herself into shape to take over as the model for the line.

Stephanie came by Taylor's house to visit her ex-daughter-in-law, but saw Phoebe instead. Phoebe misconstrued Stephanie's comments and, at first, incorrectly assumed Stephanie was suspicious about Darla's death. Phoebe's suspicions waned when Stephanie suggested that everyone is struggling really hard with what's happened. Stephanie quizzed Phoebe about Taylor's condition, and if she'd been drinking. Stephanie told Phoebe if she or Taylor ever need her to please contact her — and pledged complete confidentiality if they did.

At the church, Thorne instructed the undertaker to open Darla's casket. Thorne stroked Darla's cheek and began to sob over her coffin. Thorne told her she said she'd never leave him. Thorne tenderly kissed Darla — twice — before breaking down. Thorne was then joined by his family for Darla's service. When Felicia asked Thorne where Alexandria was, Thorne said he couldn't bring his daughter there when he couldn't explain to her why her mother was gone.

At Taylor's, Hector and Phoebe tried to persuade Taylor not to confess what she did, and insisted she was going to the service. Once she arrived, Taylor was greeted by Stephanie, who thanked her for coming. Thorne then approached and thanked Taylor for supporting him after Darla died. Thorne credited Taylor with helping him keep his sanity during the tragedy. As the two embraced, Taylor's guilt was exacerbated. As the minister began the service with a prayer, Lt. Baker slipped into the sanctuary and took a seat in the back, keeping a watchful eye on Taylor, Phoebe and Hector. After the minister concluded his opening prayer, Ridge took the podium to deliver his eulogy. Ridge admitted to being jealous of Darla and Thorne's relationship. Stephanie spoke next, and spoke fondly of Darla. As Stephanie spoke Taylor quietly dissolved into tears. Sally spoke next, after which the minister invited anyone else to speak. Taylor took the podium, and said that Darla's death is so strange and horrifies her in way she can't describe. Taylor gushed about how much Darla meant to her, and how Darla was a nonjudgemental person. Taylor cried when she said that Darla died helping her daughter. Taylor said she's ashamed and now knows what her task in life is — to be the woman Darla saw her. Thorne took the podium, thanked Taylor, and thanked everyone for acknowledging how special Darla was. The minister concluded the service with a closing prayer. Afterwards, Phoebe noted how Lt. Baker wouldn't stop looking at them. Taylor said not to worry. Ridge approached Taylor and expressed his concern about Taylor's drinking. Taylor insisted she was okay. After Ridge took the kids away, Taylor lit a candle. Lt. Baker approached and said he had hoped to have another talk with her daughter, and noted how sad and tragic the situation was. When Lt. Baker left, Taylor picked up an AA pamphlet in the church vestibule before Thorne approached. Thorne told Taylor he hasn't yet told Alexandria the truth about what happened. Taylor advised that the most important thing is to tell her. Thorne asked Taylor to come home with him and help him make Alexandria understand. Taylor agreed, and promised Thorne to help in any way she can for the rest of her life before tearfully hugging him.

Brooke questioned Stephanie's acceptance of her, claiming that Stephanie was only willing to embrace Brooke and welcome her into the fold as long as she did what Stephanie wanted her to (especially vis-à-vis Ridge). An exasperated Stephanie said she offered Brooke everything she wanted, but she can't figure out why Brooke didn't say yes. Stephanie said since Brooke walked away from the Forresters and married Nick, then she has no business owning the family company and demanded that Brooke gave it back. Brooke refused. After trading barbs, Brooke declared she's earned her place at Forrester and has no intention of ever giving the company back. After Brooke stormed out Stephanie declared that she'd find a way to take it back from her.

At Marone Industries, Jackie welcomed Nick back from his honeymoon. Nick told Jackie about his run-in with Donna. Jackie was convinced that Donna's opinion of Nick would soften once she gets to know him better. Alone, Nick had flashbacks to their wedding day argument. Stephanie paid Nick a visit at Marone Industries. Nick thanked Stephanie for driving him and Brooke closer together after her plan to divide them backfired. Stephanie turned the tables by asking Nick to help her get her stock back from Brooke. When Nick scoffed at Stephanie's request, she cleverly planted seeds of doubt in Nick's mind by openly asking why Brooke would want to continue holding on to the company and working side-by-side with Ridge, unless she still had feelings for him. Stephanie coyly warned Nick to keep Brooke away from her son as she walked out of Nick's office. Nick began to seethe.

Ridge welcomed Donna to town. Donna expressed her condolences about Darla. Donna shared her impressions of Nick with Ridge, and admitted she wished that Brooke was with him and not Nick. Ridge said everything he did was apparently not enough. Donna said she thinks Brooke is the one making the mistake now. Ridge said he'd always love Brooke. Later, Brooke visited Ridge and told him that Stephanie wants her stock back. She informed Ridge that she wouldn't be modeling for the Brooke's Bedroom line anymore, but she would still be CEO. Brooke said she was doing this out of respect to her husband and their marriage. Ridge accepted Brooke's decision, but laid a guilt trip on her by saying he'll never believe that she loves Nick as much as she loves him. He added that she's probably drawn to Nick because he makes her feel safe because he's such a control freak who's always directing and dominating her, and not letting her be who she really is. Brooke became visibly emotional as Ridge declared that both he and their kids need her.
