B&B Recaps Week of July 31, 2006
Friday, August 4, 2006
On the day of the Brooke's Bedroom preview, Donna was backstage and unnerved by the throng of reporters waiting out in the showroom. "I wish Brooke were here," Donna sighed, but Ridge insisted they would be fine without her big sister. "I have never been so nervous in my life," Donna fretted and Ridge gave her a reassuring kiss. Stephanie tried to put in her two cents about the show, but Felicia advised Mom to butt out.
At Marone Industries, Brooke worried over Ridge calling the shots with Brooke's Bedroom. She didn't like being kept in the dark with what's going to happen with the new line and she decided to attend the preview after all. Nick declared she wasn't going without him and tagged along. When they showed up at Forrester Creations, the press was delighted to see Brooke and she announced that she had every confidence in Ridge's vision.
The show began and Ridge came out on the runway to announce that the new Brooke's Bedroom line is "sexual without apology." The show began with Donna writhing on a bed in sexy lingerie and then she wiggled on the runway. Donna even went into the audience to cavort with the reporters as well as Nick and Eric. Stephanie and Brooke didn't look very amused. Backstage, Ridge praised Donna for her actions. The finale featured a strip tease show by Donna and the audience gave a standing ovation. Ridge joined Donna on the runway and they reveled in the adulation.
After the reporters were gone, Brooke was visibly upset with the show. "Now you know how I felt watching you all these years," Stephanie noted. "How does it feel to watch your sister take your place?" A peeved Brooke went backstage to see Ridge toasting Donna. Brooke reamed Donna for her raunchy behavior. "I really have no option but to end this before anymore damage is done," Brooke announced. "I'm sorry, but you're fired!"

Ridge opined to Eric that Donna will make a fantastic lingerie
model for Forrester Creations. Meanwhile, Donna argued to Brooke that she only
kissed Ridge out of gratitude, but her big sis wasn't convinced. "You can't
strut around and make a play for the lead designer," she blasted, but
Donna insisted nothing serious happened. She then declared that Brooke
is obviously still hooked on Ridge and offered the modeling job back to
her sister. "You should be his muse, not me," Donna noted then urged
Brooke to go after Ridge, that's when he suddenly showed up. After
Donna left, Brooke told him that she witnessed the kiss. "I'm not putting up
only helping Donna with her confidenc, but he was curious as to why it
bothered Brooke so much. She insisted that it was about acting
professional and mentioned she wouldn't be attending the fashion preview
of Brooke's Bedroom the next day. Ridge shared that he thinks of her
constantly. "I never meant to hurt you," Brooke apologized and they
embraced warmly as Donna walked back in.
During the AA meeting, Taylor whined about the events that sent her to
the bottle. As she started to recount what happened on the night Darla
died, she started sobbing uncontrollably and Thorne comforted her. After
the meeting, Thorne impressed upon Taylor how much everyone needs her...
including him. They returned to his place and Alexandria asked why
Auntie Taylor was so sad. "Do you miss Mommy too?" asked the moppet.
Phoebe explained that Alexandria was asking for Darla when she was
playing dress up with her mom's clothes. The tot was especially attached
to the dress Darla was wearing to her birthday party. Taylor then
altered the dress so it would fit Alexandria. "You can put this dress on
and think of all the happy times when your mommy was wearing this,"
Taylor explained. Thorne was touched by their interaction.

Donna showed off the pictures that Ridge took of her to an impressed and surprised Bridget and Brooke. Nick questioned his wife about why Ridge is calling the shots when she is supposed to be running Brooke's Bedroom. Donna apologized and quickly made an excuse for Ridge. After Donna left, Brooke told Nick that she was going to check things out at the shoot.
Shortly after Taylor and Phoebe arrived at Thorne's, Phoebe had to talk her mom out of confessing to Darla's murder. A very supportive Thorne told Taylor he knows she's keeping a secret. He took her to an AA meeting. The surprised doc claimed she had no problem and wanted to leave, but he encouraged her to stay. While listening to a woman's story about being an alcoholic, Taylor had a flashback of Darla's bloody face on her windshield. The host of the meeting asked their newcomer to speak. Taylor stood up and told the group that Thorne's wife's died. Then she broke down and admitted to drinking behind her family's back and sleeping with men she barely knows. "I want to do the right thing for Darla," she cried.
Stephanie asked Ridge if he's excited to work with Donna, who promptly showed up for her next photo session. When Donna felt insecure about her modeling, Ridge gave her a pep talk. Brooke watched, suspicious of what was developing between Ridge and her sister. Ridge told Brooke to trust his instincts. When the shoot was over and Ridge and Donna were alone, he continued to talk her up and convince her that she has "mega potential." Brooke walked in just in time to see the two kiss. She yelled at her sister after Ridge exited. Brooke warned Donna to never kiss him again.

As Ridge snapped away with the camera, Donna grew weary of posing in lingerie. After the shoot was done, Ridge arranged for a romantic take-out dinner of escargot and wine. Donna fretted that she might not be up for the job as a spokesmodel. But, "I want to be a lot more than Brooke Logan's little sister," she declared, then praised Ridge for taking a risk on love. He was flattered by her compliment. "What we're doing here with Brooke's Bedroom. I think this is a risk that's going to pay off big time," Ridge predicted. "You're good for me, Donna Logan. In fact, I think you're just what I need." They clinked wine glasses and exchanged smoldering gazes. Donna was still in awe over the big change in her life, but shared that not knowing what was coming up next is exciting and they began to flirt shamelessly. "How can anyone not fall in love with you?" Ridge asked.
A concerned Hector checked on Taylor, but became alarmed when she admitted that she had been spending time with Thorne. Hec cautioned her not to blab the truth now that he and Phoebe were accessories after the fact. "I didn't ask you to protect me," Tay noted but Hector pointed out that confessing isn't going to bring Darla back. "You have to stay as far away from Thorne as possible," he advised, then reminded her that he had warned her long before the accident about her drinking. Hector tried to kiss Taylor but she pulled away. An upset Phoebe burst in and ordered him to stay away from her mother. Hector explained that they could all go to jail and Taylor demanded that he stop trying to scare Phoebe. He wasn't pleased to hear that Taylor was going back over to Thorne's place.
As Stephanie babysat Alexandria, she worried that Thorne was not getting enough rest. Thorne was afraid that Alexandria hadn't fully processed that her mommy isn't coming back. Steph was glad that Taylor was providing emotional support to Thorne. After Steph departed, Taylor and Phoebe showed up and the shrink gave him a book on grief. Thorne noticed that she dropped an AA pamphlet from her purse but still thanked Taylor for all her help. He then invited the gals to stay for dinner. "My neighbors keep dropping off casseroles," he announced and Taylor accepted the invitation. She was shocked when Lt. Baker and a couple of other cops showed up to discuss the case. Thorne then offered to pay a reward if it meant finding "the monster" who ran down his wife.

Donna gazed soulfully and longingly at the Brooke's Bedroom poster as she flashed back to kissing Ridge. Then, Ridge appeared and told Donna that he's thrilled to be designing the new line — and noted that they we're going to make a great team. Donna apologized for sounding easy the other night, but Ridge said it was just what he needed — creatively speaking, of course.
During a production meeting, Eric went over details of Brooke's line but when he mentioned Ridge backing out, Brooke was aghast and said Ridge couldn't do that. She stormed off to find him. Eric pouted about the future of the line to Stephanie and Felicia, but Brooke found Ridge with Donna and implored him to stay with the line. Ridge informed her he's not quitting: He changed his mind. Thrilled as she was, Brooke didn't miss the knowing glance her ex threw at her sister, but sighed, "Thank God. I'm so relieved." Brooke thanked Donna for convincing Ridge to stay on. Now, all they have to do is sell the transition to the press.
Across town, a half-naked Dante woke up and fantasized about kissing Felicia, even though Bridget was the one who brought him breakfast. He was still upset that Bridget told him she didn't want to have his baby. "Not right now," Bridget clarified. She admitted she was relieved not to be pregnant, but Dante said he was disappointed. "How long am I supposed to wait?" he huffed.
As the press began to gather, Steph was skeptical that Donna could carry off the gig, but Ridge gave Logan, Jr., his full support. Brooke gathered the troops and stressed how much the line means to her and that even though she's stepping down to work for Marone, she's still there in spirit. Steph called for Brooke to return her stock. Not surprisingly, that didn't wash. Brooke threw her support behind her baby sis.
As more reporters gathered, Steph bid Dante good morning. "Come to watch the train wreck?" she queried. Brooke began the press conference by announcing that she's stepping down. Once the reporters' shock wore off, Donna was introduced to the press, but suffered cold feet. Ridge stepped up to cover, like when he answered the question about designing for someone other than Brooke: "My inspiration comes from beautiful women," Ridge oozed. "And Donna Logan is a beautiful woman." When it was mentioned that the Brooke is out of the Brooke's Bedroom title, Ridge shot back, "Forrester has a new Logan. Donna Logan." Feeling put-off, Brooke faked a smile. (And this guy's still single?)
After the press conference, Felicia sat down with Dante, who opened up about his problems with Bridget. Felicia told Dante, "Happiness should never wait till tomorrow." Meanwhile, Donna regretted her lackluster press debut, but Ridge assured her she did okay. Later, Brooke accused Ridge of using Donna to get back at her. "What do you want from from me, Brooke?" He demanded to know. Just then, Donna entered in the latest lingerie creation, cooing, "Are you ready for me, Ridge?"
