Taylor escorted a blind Hector to a bedroom in her house and then returned downstairs when the doorbell rang. A worried Stephanie showed up and asked about Taylor's intentions towards Thorne. "I have true concern and affection for Thorne," Taylor assured. Steph then became upset upon finding out that Hector was staying with Taylor indefinitely. Stephanie charged into Hector's room and declared her extreme disapproval of the living arrangements.

Brooke flipped that Ridge kissed Donna on TV. "It's disgusting," she raged. Despite his protestations, Nick was irked when Brooke ran out of the house to confront Ridge. After verifying that the nanny was around for the kids, Nick left for his boat. By the time he got to the Shady Marlin, Nick was already boozing it up. Bridget arrived and he angrily explained what happened with Brooke.

At the Forrester mansion, Donna asked Ridge if what he said to her on the RICH GINGER SHOW was true. "Yes, I meant it," he assured and they melted into a kiss. Brooke burst in as they were smooching. "You stop it right there!" she demanded, then reamed them for their on-air behavior. "I'm not trying to hurt you," Donna insisted but Brooke screamed for her sister to clear out so she could talk to Ridge. After Donna made herself scarce, Brooke blasted Ridge for deserting her for Taylor. "You want our life back as much as I do," Ridge surmised and Brooke admitted that she still loves him but her life was with Nick. Ridge then pulled Brooke into a kiss. A peeking Donna was on her cell phone with Nick and she told him what she saw.

Thorne told Stephanie that he was giving up the search for Darla's killer. "I think Taylor can help you find peace of mind, sweetheart," Stephanie advised. Thorne confessed that he kissed Taylor and felt guilty. "It's too soon," he lamented, but Mom assured there was nothing wrong with finding something positive to hang on to.

After Hector was released from the hospital, Taylor brought him back to her house. Hector revealed that the men at his fire station offered to take care of him, but he didn't want to be a burden to them. "I have to find my purpose and my place," Hec affirmed. Taylor suggested that he move into her house for the time being and Hector accepted.

Nick was annoyed that Brooke was glued to the TV set to watch Donna on TV. During her talk show appearance, Donna was surprised when the host, Rich Ginger asked about her relationship with Ridge. "Let's dish," Rich gleefully declared and wanted to know if Donna was in love with Ridge. Donna evaded the question so Rich asked Ridge to come out. "What's going on?" Donna asked Ridge when he joined her onstage. "This woman has changed my life, " Ridge announced and kissed Donna passionately. Brooke fumed at home. "I can let this happen!" she exclaimed to an irritated Nick.

Ridge told Brooke that Donna was scheduled to appear on a talk show to promote Brooke's Bedroom. Mrs. Marone was wary of the gig, but finally approved. She then wanted to know what Ridge's intentions were toward her sister and he insisted he was moving on with his life. Brooke was obviously jealous of the budding relationship and Ridge admitted he still loved her. Brooke went home to watch Donna on the RICH GINGER SHOW. Backstage, Felicia was suspicious that Ridge was using Donna's appearance for his own agenda. "One way or the other, one sister or the other," Ridge declared. "My new life begins tonight."

Taylor informed Phoebe that Hector lost his sight. Thorne showed up and asked Taylor if she could accompany him to Darla's grave. Taylor immediately agreed and Thorne also mentioned that he was dropping the search for Darla's killer. After the trip to the cemetery, Thorne hoped whoever mowed down his wife will never know a moment's peace. "I hope that bastard rots in hell," Thorne seethed to an uneasy Taylor. He quickly settled down and announced his determination to heal. He suddenly kissed Taylor then apologized. "It's all right," she smiled.

Stephanie visited Hector at his hospital room and offered to pay for his rehabilitation in Minnesota. Despite his blindness, Hector could see through Stephanie's motives. "Fresh out of clinics for blind guys in Siberia, were they?" he huffed. "I'm not going anywhere." Stephanie pointed out that Taylor wasn't going to come around anymore and Hector realized that La Forrester was pushing Taylor and Thorne together. "It's best you stay away," advised Stephanie.

Thorne voiced his concern to Stephanie that Lt. Baker would make trouble for Taylor with the crazy accusations that she is responsible for Darla's death. Steph suggested that Thorne officially put an end to the investigation so the police would leave Taylor alone. Thorne balked but Mom pointed out it was the only way to give Thorne closure. "Are you going to live the rest of your life in frustration and pain?" Stephanie posed. "Let it go." Thorne finally agreed and as they embraced, Stephanie promised that both she and Taylor will be there for him.

At Insomnia, Nick told Harry that he would arrange for Phoebe Forrester to show him around L.A. After Nick exited the coffee house, Phoebe entered and witnessed Harry steal money from the tip jar to pay for his coffee refill. She immediately called him on his sticky fingers. "It was a loan," Harry countered. Nick then called Phoebe's cell and asked if she would play tour guide for his friend. She agreed and left Insomnia before introductions could be exchanged with Harry.

Hector declared to Taylor that he deserved his blindness as punishment for what he put her though. "I think we wasted enough time beating ourselves up," Taylor sighed. "It's time to move on." Hector insisted that he only resorted to extreme actions to protect her then worried what kind of life he would now have. "Whatever you have to deal with, I'll help you through it," Taylor vowed then left to talk to his doctor. She returned with the news that the damage to his eyes was most likely irreversible. Hector crumpled to the floor in tears as Taylor held him.

At the hospital, Taylor anguished over Phoebe's emotional state. Stephanie urged the shrink to focus on her daughter and Thorne. Phoebe asked if her mom was really prepared to hide the truth. "I have so much to make up for," Taylor noted and vowed to help Thorne and Alexandria. Lt. Baker entered the room and asked Taylor how she got the marks on her wrists (where Hector tied her up) and then produced the burnt Velcro strap that was found at Hector's place. The cop tried to dig further but Stephanie demanded that he stop with the questions and drop his investigation because it was inhibiting her family's recovery. After Baker left, Stephanie stressed that Taylor and Phoebe to move on with their lives by putting Darla's tragedy behind them. "This isn't your burden to carry anymore," Steph impressed upon her granddaughter.

Nick entered his boat to find it trashed. When he heard someone coming on board, he jumped the intruder only to find it was Harry, the son of a fellow sailor who died on a tanker Nick was piloting. As Marone was weighed down by guilt, Harry thanked Nick for all his emotional and financial support. Since Nick was busy with his new family, he suggested that Harry house-sit the Shady Marlin. "This place is a five-star hotel compared to the freighter I just got off," Harry smiled and accepted Nick's offer.

Taylor accompanied Thorne and Alexandria to the room where Darla passed away. The little girl stuck some of her coloring masterpieces on the door while Thorne was saddened by a memory of his late wife. Taylor later checked up Hector and was shocked to find that he was now blind.
