Bridget flipped through photo albums and reminisced about her marriage to Nick, and happily wondered if they might now have a chance at getting back together. Brooke pleaded with Nick to put his wedding ring back on his finger and give their marriage another chance. Nick said he didn't think he could do that after what happened last night. He said they have to face not only what she did, but what HE did. Nick said he gave up on her last night. Before he could explain his cell phone rang. Bridget was calling, begging Nick not to tell Brooke what happened between them. Nick hung up on her without giving her an answer. Brooke approached him and insisted she won't allow him to give up on them. Brooke offered to do whatever it takes to prove herself to him. Nick flashed back to his night of passion with Bridget, and told her he can't take his ring back. Brooke tearfully pleaded that they could still have the lives and marriage they wanted. Nick agreed, and allowed Brooke to slip the ring back on his finger and the two kissed and held each other in their arms.

Felicia paid Bridget a visit. Bridget told Felicia she thinks her life is finally back on track. Felicia was amused she surmised from what Bridget said that Brooke and Ridge are about to get back together. Bridget mused that sooner or later everybody ends up with who they're meant to be with. Nick called Bridget back and told him he talked to her mother and wants to talk to her next. Nick arrived and told Bridget he didn't tell her mother about their night together. Bridget said she has never stopped caring about Nick and he has never left her heart. As Bridget gushed about how Nick must have obviously just been infatuated with Brooke, she spied Nick's wedding ring back on his finger. Nick explained that Brooke apologized and asked for another chance. Bridget was devastated when Nick told her he and Brooke agreed to start over. Bridget warned Nick that he's in store for nothing but future disappointments with Brooke. Nick said he's going to level with Brooke and expects and hopes that Brooke will forgive the two of them for their indiscretion.

Hector asked Taylor if it bothers her having him there as she helped him. Taylor said no. When they heard a knock at the door downstairs Hector said it might be Christian, who's returning from Africa. Hector was crestfallen when Taylor suggested it might also be Thorne. Taylor answered the door, and it was both of them. As Christian went upstairs to visit his brother, Thorne helped Taylor rearrange her furniture to make things more accessible for Hector. Thorne cautioned Taylor that she's taking on a lot, but Taylor said she could handle it. Taylor reassured Thorne that he and Alexandria are important to her and she won't let her attention to them slip. Thorne was pleased when Taylor informed him that she set Hector straight about her not having any romantic feelings for him. Hector asked Christian if there were any cutting-edge procedures that would help restore his sight. As Christian hedged, Hector expressed why he has an urgency to regain his sight: He sincerely believes that something more would develop between him and Taylor. Christian tried to gently dampen his brother's expectations. Thorne and Taylor explored their feelings for each other. When they discussed their first kiss from the other day, Taylor told Thorne she doesn't kiss people just because she feels sorry for them. Thorne told Taylor he's been feeling signs from Darla that it's OK for him to move on with his life — including with Taylor. The two of them shared a sweet, mutual kiss and hug, and smiled at each other afterward.

On the Marlin, Nick woke up with Bridget. The two felt very awkward and uncomfortable around each other. Above deck, Harry spied them in bed together. Bridget told Nick that what happened between them can mean whatever they want it to mean. Nick said what happened between them was because of her mother. He declared he can't live his life that way, and planned to confront Brooke and end this with her. After Nick left, Harry came below deck and frightened Bridget. Once Harry identified himself, Bridget remembered who he was from what Nick had told her. Bridget lied and said she was on the boat to pick up some stuff she had left there. Harry lamented to himself what kind of mess Nick has gotten himself into. Back at her place, Bridget went through her photo albums and fondly recalled her wedding to Nick. Bridget then held the urn of Nicole's ashes and her blanket and told Nicole she thinks she has a chance with her father again.

Donna asked Brooke if she and Nick would be joining them for breakfast. Brooke told Donna that Nick never returned home last night. Brooke said if Nick would give her another chance she'd be the wife he deserves. Donna tried to forewarn Brooke that Nick might be even more upset than she realizes, but Nick arrived before Donna could explain. Nick told Brooke he was here to pick up his things and handed his ring back to her and told her to go back to Ridge. Nick said he doesn't like the man he's become because she won't draw the line, so he will. Nick angrily gave Brooke his blessing to be with Ridge as he packed his things. Brooke told Nick that she rejected Ridge and told Ridge she intends to stay with Nick because she loves him and feels safe with him. Brooke insisted they can't let things ends this way because they love each other too much. As Brooke tearfully pleaded her case, Nick appeared to soften. Brooke handed Nick his ring back and begged him to put it back on and give her and them one last chance. Nick said it's a little late for that: He needs to tell her something about last night — something "she needs to know"....

Ridge asked Brooke to come back to him and the two grabbed each other and kissed passionately. Nick exploded when Donna reported to him via phone that Ridge and Brooke were making out fast and furiously. After kissing Ridge, Brooke said she can't return to him because she can't trust him. Ridge insisted that it's her father she cannot trust, and he has prevented her from being able to trust other men. Brooke said Nick makes her feel safe, which is something he could never provide. Brooke said she'd always love Ridge. Ridge said he wants "us," not a memory. Brooke insisted she can't return to him, so Ridge said he'll have no choice but to move on — with Donna. Brooke asked Ridge not to hurt her, and said it pains her to see him with her sister. Ridge promised not to hurt Donna. Brooke said she intends to honor her vows to Nick because he's always been there for her. After Brooke left, Donna re-entered the room and angrily confronted Ridge, accusing him of using her to get to her sister. Ridge revealed that Brooke insisted on remaining with Nick. Ridge insisted that he wants to move forward in his life — with Donna. A skeptical Donna resisted Ridge's charms and told him they'd pick things up again tomorrow.

Back on the Marlin, a ferklempt Nick reached for the bottle. Bridget tried to persuade him not to, but he insisted. Nick fixated on the idea that Brooke loves Ridge more than him. Bridget apologized for her mother and said her mother runs back to Ridge like it's a sickness. Bridget admitted that she worried this might happen when she agreed to give up Nick so he could be with Brooke again. An exasperated Nick asked what are they going to do now. Nick broke down and cried over Brooke's betrayal. He climbed up to the top deck and couldn't get past images of Ridge and Brooke together out of his mind. Nick screamed, "You can have her, Forrester! She's all yours!" into the night sky, and Bridget looked on. Nick angrily declared that his marriage to Brooke is over and pulled off his wedding ring. Bridget said she wants to take his pain away. Then the two started kissing, and quickly moved onto his bed.

Upstairs at Taylor's place, Stephanie held her ground and insisted to Hector that he needs to steer clear of Taylor so that she can become romantically involved with Thorne. Stephanie told him it was wrong for him to move into Taylor's house, and demanded that he stop being so selfish and self-serving and move out. Downstairs, Thorne visited Taylor, who told him that Stephanie talked to her about their kiss. Thorne tenderly told Taylor that he never thought he'd smile again until she made him smile. He told her she saved his life, and asked her if he's frightening her. Taylor said no. Stephanie came downstairs from visiting Hector and walked in just as the two of them embraced. When Thorne learned that Hector moved into Taylor's place, Thorne sided with Stephanie and suggested that it's not in her best interest to have Hector there. When Taylor wouldn't budge, Thorne told Stephanie they need to respect her wishes. Thorne then offered to help Taylor with Hector while he is her houseguest — much to Steph's dismay. When Taylor heard a crashing sound upstairs she ran to Hector's aid. Hector had gotten lost in the hallway. Taylor walked him back to his room and reassured a tearful Hector that he would adjust and eventually regain his coordination.
