B&B Recaps Week of October 2, 2006Friday, October 6, 2006 At the Forrester guesthouse, Donna welcomed Ridge home with a surprise candlelight dinner. Donna told Ridge she wants him to know how much she appreciates him. An appreciative Ridge said he couldn't believe she went to all this trouble. Donna said she wanted to thank him for their trip. Ridge said he enjoyed seeing the trip and the world through her eyes. The two admitted they were homesick and glad to be back. After finishing dinner Ridge went to take a shower. When Ridge came out of the shower Donna told him she loved him and turned on her seductive charms. When Ridge hesitated, Donna reminded him that Brooke is never coming back, and that she and Ridge are both starting over again in their lives. Donna conceded that people love different people in different ways, and didn't expect to be loved the same way he loved Brooke. Ridge still kept quiet, and didn't utter "I love you" back. Donna said she understood if he's still not ready to say those words yet, and the two began to kiss. Just then there as a knock at the door. An annoyed Ridge surmised it was his meddling mama. He opened the door only to have a crying Brooke rush into his arms. Donna asked Brooke if she wanted her to call Nick. "No!" Brooke said. Brooke broke down and beat herself up at how she should have listened to Ridge about Nick. Brooke tearfully declared that she has forgiven Ridge for what she has done, and expressed worry that it might be too late for them. Ridge reassured her that it's never too late, that this day would eventually come: she's finally here in his arms, as it should be. The two began to kiss, as Donna looked on in astonishment. At the main house, Stephanie was rankled that Donna picked up Ridge at the airport. She vented to Eric that Donna isn't in Ridge's league. Eric agreed, but refused to help Stephanie plot the demise of Brooke and Nick's marriage. Stephanie threatened to go the guest house and throw out Donna, but Eric reigned her in and admonished her to stop spying on Ridge and Donna. But Steph continued to peer through the windows at the guest house. Stephanie got excited when she spied Brooke's car at the guest house, and got her hopes up that Brooke finally saw the light.
Bridget continued her frantic efforts to reach Nick before it was too late. A washed-up Nick returned aboard the Marlin searching for Brooke, but she was nowhere to be found. Bridget finally found Nick on the Marlin. "Thank God!" she exclaimed, thinking she found him in time. Nick's expression made her quickly realize she was too late. Nick told her Brooke threw him overboard. Nick surmised that Brooke reacted so negatively to the news that Bridget is pregnant because he told her in the wrong way. Bridget interrupted: "We're not having a child — the baby is Dante's." Nick exploded at the idea that Bridget was wrong about the baby — his baby — and got choked up at the realization that he's lost yet ANOTHER child. Bridget said she hasn't told Dante yet, and naively suggested to Nick that there's still hope for him and Brooke.
Thursday, October 5, 2006 Felicia and Dante enjoyed a glass of wine after he put Dino to sleep. Dante could tell Felicia had something on her mind, but Felicia insisted she couldn't break a confidence. After 10 seconds of thought Felicia decided there shouldn't be secrets between them and blabbed that Bridget is pregnant. Dante apologized, but Felicia told him he's not the father — Nick is. Dante realized that Bridget never stopped loving Nick. Felicia agreed, and suggested maybe this wasn't a bad thing. Everyone could be with the person they're meant to be: Bridget could be with Nick, and Brooke could be with Ridge. Felicia told Dante that Bridget once said that people will end up with those they're supposed to be with. Dante was puzzled at how Bridget getting knocked up by her stepfather is a good thing. Felicia said that unexpected babies aren't always a bad thing — look what Dino has done for them. On the Shady Marlin, Brooke broke down at the fact that Nick slept with Bridget and that she's pregnant with his child. When Nick tried to speak Brooke slapped him across the face. Nick pleaded for a change to explain but Brooke was having none of it. A tearful Brooke demanded to know why he slept with Bridget. "Do you have any idea what you've done — you make me sick!" Brooke screeched. Nick explained he thought she went back to Ridge and their marriage was over. Brooke accused Nick of taking advantage of Bridget. Nick insisted he didn't get her drunk — they were just talking when one thing lead to another. Brooke flipped out and accused Nick of trying to blame this all on Bridget when he told her Bridget thought it was a good idea when Nick took off his wedding ring. Brooke surmised that Nick's only motive for sleeping with her daughter was to cause her pain and anguish and make her suffer "in the worst way possible." Nick kept trying to defend himself but to no avail. Brooke said she loved him because she never thought he'd do to her what Ridge did. A forlorn Nick conceded that he failed her, but resolved to make it up to her and be the man he promised to be in their vows. Nick reminded her that she told him they could get past anything. Brooke said she might have been able to get past an infidelity, but not the prospect of his baby growing inside her daughter's belly. Nick begged Brooke "not to give up on us." Brooke said there is no more "us." Brooke declared that she wants him out of her house, her life and away from her children. Brooke went above deck for some air. Nick followed her. Brooke snapped and pushed Nick overboard in a fit of rage. Brooke threw him a life preserver, called the Coast Guard to report a man overboard, then steered the ship back to the marina, leaving Nick behind.
Wednesday, October 4, 2006 At Forrester, Stephanie admonished Donna for cheapening the company's reputation with her provocative modeling photos. Donna countered that her "cheap" photos are making a fortune for the company. Stephanie got right to the point and warned Donna, "You can jiggle, wiggle and toss your hair all around, [but] you're never going to be a part of this family." Donna coyly told Stephanie that Ridge might have something to say about that. Stephanie accused Donna of taking advantage of Ridge during a vulnerable time, and declared that she's the wrong woman for Ridge. Donna admitted that she and Ridge haven't slept together yet. Stephanie insisted that Brooke is the right woman for him. Donna snapped that if Brooke appreciated Ridge when she had the chance that they would be together now. At the hospital, Bridget told Felicia she has to believe for the sake of her child that Brooke will be able to get through this. Felicia gently tried to give Bridget a reality check and asked Bridget if she could imagine her life without her mother in it. Bridget began to beat herself up for everything that's happened, including her interest in Nick. Felicia reassured her that wanting to raise her child with its father doesn't make her a bad person, it just makes her human. One of Bridget's doctors called Bridget to tell her she has something to discuss with her, but assured her the baby was fine. Bridget went to the doctor's office. The doctor noted that Bridget's test results indicate that she's closer to being nine weeks pregnant. Bridget became upset at the realization that the baby is probably not Nick's. Bridget asked the doctor to perform an ultrasound ASAP to confirm the doctor's suspicions.
Tuesday, October 3, 2006 At Taylor's house Shane told Stephanie how he witnessed Darla's accident. Shane insisted he's not hanging around for any blackmail money, so an intrigued Stephanie pressed him for his real agenda. Shane insisted he wants nothing, just to be friends. Stephanie said that people rarely make friends out of fear. Shane gushed about Phoebe, and conceded that extortion was originally on his mind but had a change of heart as soon as he saw how "nice" Taylor and Phoebe are. Stephanie caught on to Shane's attraction to Phoebe, and accused him of having the "hots" for her granddaughter. Stephanie quizzed Shane about the night of the accident, cross-examination style. Shane flubbed all the details and answers to her questions, proving Stephanie's point that it would be hard for anyone to accept just his word on what happened. Moreover, Stephanie told him that because he didn't step forward and tell the authorities right away, it's made him an accessory after the fact — so he's just as likely to go to jail as Taylor, Phoebe, Hector and Stephanie. Shane insisted he's there with nothing but good intentions, and politely heeded Stephanie's warning to keep his hands off of Phoebe. When Stephanie left, however, Shane resolved to give Phoebe "a whole lot more than his hand."
Monday, October 2, 2006 In Taylor's backyard, Shane tried to charm Phoebe out of being afraid of him in light of what he knows. Phoebe expressed her worries that she or her mom could go to jail if he opened his mouth. Shane insisted that he just wants to be her friend. Phoebe wisely challenged that this was an awfully contrived and bizarre way just to become her "friend." Shane said he wanted to give her a chance to know him first. After Phoebe left, Shane fantasized about the two of them getting involved romantically. Inside, Taylor and Hector argued over what to do about the "Shane situation" when Stephanie arrived and asked Taylor if Hector knows that Taylor and Thorne are an item. When Taylor said no, Stephanie rubbed it in Hector's face. Hector warned Stephanie that there's a far greater threat to Taylor than him — Shane. Hector and Taylor explained to Stephanie that Shane was the homeless man who creeped out Darla the night of the accident. Stephanie expressed hope that all Shane wants is money, because that's something they can "fix" — otherwise they're ALL headed to jail. Stephanie became alarmed when Hector told Stephanie about Shane's rap sheet. Stephanie declared that Shane has to be neutralized, as Shane eavesdropped from the doorway. When Hector and Taylor left, Shane confronted Stephanie and introduced himself as the person she wants to "neutralize." Jackie visited Brooke and told her she learned from Eric that Brooke just renewed her vows with Nick. Jackie noted how strange it was considering they just got married. Brooke said he did it because he loves her so much. Jackie agreed, and expressed disappointment when Brooke told her she doesn't want to have any more children. Jackie laid a guilt trip on Brooke and told her just how much Nick wants a child of his own. Brooke insisted that him helping to raise Hope is enough for Nick, and if he really wanted a kid of his own with her he'd tell her. Jackie said maybe Brooke would change her mind. Brooke declared that the last thing she needs in her life is another child, just as Nick entered the doorway. Nick showed himself and told his mother he needs to speak to Brooke alone. Jackie excused himself. Nick told Brooke he had something to tell her, and gave a preamble about how life throws people curveballs, and how life's fears can turn into blessings. Brooke said he's making her nervous, and admonished him to just tell her what he's talking about.
