"You were driving the car that killed my wife?" a shocked Thorne stammered to Taylor. As he tried to process the information, Taylor revealed she wanted to tell him the truth so many times. Rage started to set in as Thorne angrily recounted how Taylor came into his house after Darla's death to offer comfort. Taylor explained that Darla fell in front of her car but Thorne accused Taylor of blaming Darla for the accident. Taylor admitted that she had been drinking so it was her fault. "I keep seeing Darla's face in my windshield," Taylor cried (okay, does Thorne need to know that much?). She announced her intentions to turn herself in but Thorne couldn't look at her. Taylor then called the police station and asked to be patched over to Lt. Baker's cell.

A worried Phoebe told Stephanie that Taylor was confessing to Thorne. Hector felt his way into the room and got upset when he heard of Taylor's determination to tell the truth. Stephanie hoped that the police could still be kept out of the situation and started to head for Big Bear to talk to Thorne. Before she could leave, Lt. Baker showed up to question Taylor. When he discovered she wasn't there, he declared that once he finds the proof that Taylor killed Darla, Dr. Hayes was going to jail for a long time. The cop answered his cell and Taylor admitted to killing Darla. Lt. Baker turned on his speaker so Phoebe, Stephanie and Hector could hear Taylor's confession. After hanging up, Lt. Baker arranged for the Big Bear police to arrest Taylor.

Nick griped to Jackie that Stephanie gave Brooke divorce papers. He then charged over to Forrester Creations and told Ridge that his mommy was pressuring Brooke. "You blew it, Nick," Ridge crowed.

Stephanie urged an annoyed Brooke to sign the divorce papers. "I'm just trying to make your life easier," Steph replied. "Ridge is lost without you." She promised full support if Brooke reconciled with Ridge. Jackie showed up and ordered Stephanie to butt out. "You know how much Nicky loves you," Jackie pointed out to Brooke, who couldn't take anymore advice from the ladies and rushed upstairs. Jackie and Stephanie' continued to squabble until Stephanie called and asked her grandma to come over.

When Taylor brought up Darla, Thorne assured he could move on with his life. "You don't know the pain that I've caused," Taylor moaned but before she could continue with her confession, Thorne presented her with an engagement ring and popped the question. "I love you, Taylor," he professed. "Say yes." Taylor sobbed she couldn't accept until he heard what she had to say. She revealed how she shouldn't have been driving that night Phoebe's car had broken down because she had been drinking. "It was me, Thorne," Taylor cried. "I was driving the car that hit Darla."

At Brooke's house, Ridge visited with R.J. and hoped out loud to reconcile with his ex. Brooke said she had a lot to think about so Ridge left with R.J. so father and son could spend the day together. After the nanny took Hope to the park, Nick showed up and begged Brooke to take him back. He also reminded her how he had forgiven her in the past for many mistakes. "I want you to be able to look at me and not see the man who let you down," Nick pointed out. "Just give me another chance."

Stephanie had her lawyer draw up divorce papers for Nick and Brooke. "I don't want to wait for Brooke to take the initiative," Steph declared. Eric warned his wife that she was, "getting way ahead of yourself." Ridge arrived with R.J. and ordered Mom not to push Brooke. Claiming she had a hair appointment, Stephanie departed then barged into Brooke's house and presented the divorce papers. "You've got a hell of a nerve, lady," Nick growled but Stephanie urged Brooke to sign the documents. Exasperated, Brooke asked both Nick and Stephanie to go. "I need to be alone," she demanded. Stephanie pretended to leave, but as soon as Nick made his exit, she returned. "This is a chance to reclaim your family," Steph urged. "You know I won't take no for an answer."

Thorne arrived to pick up Taylor for their date. Knowing her mother was going to tell Thorne everything, Phoebe tearfully hugged her good-bye. Thorne and Taylor drove to the cabin where he had a crackling fire and yellow roses (her favorite) ready for them. Taylor began to cry and Thorne asked what was wrong. "It's something that I've done," she sobbed. "I just hope you don't hate me." Thorne professed his love but Taylor countered that she didn't deserve the sentiment and prepared to confess.

"Don't give up what we had together," Nick pleaded with Brooke, but Ridge told his brother to buzz off. Bridget burst in and begged for her mom's forgiveness. Brooke asked her warring suitors to leave so she could talk with Bridget. After the guys left, Brooke raged at her daughter for sleeping with Nick. "How could you do that?" Brooke cried but then she blamed Nick for taking advantage of Bridget who then defended him. "He's everything you need him to be," Bridget said and pointed out that Nick was drinking the night they made love. "He's not the bad guy. I was sober, I knew what I was doing." Brooke forgave Bridget and she tearfully left.

Taylor couldn't fight her guilt over her part in the death of Thorne's wife. "How can I take the place of the woman he really loved when I'm the person who killed her?" Taylor posed to Phoebe. The teen didn't think Thorne would ever find out the truth, but her mom announced that she was going to come clean with him. "He could call the police," Phoebe fretted, but Taylor insisted she had to be honest. Thorne called Taylor and asked her to come to the Big Bear cabin with him the next day. After Taylor accepted his invitation, Thorne inspected a small jewelry box.

Eric told Stephanie that Bridget is pregnant with Dante's baby. Ridge and Nick entered and started arguing about Brooke. "I'm her future," Ridge declared. Stephanie advised Nick to accept reality. Ridge returned to the guest house and urged Brooke to put Nick behind him, then kissed her passionately.
