B&B Recaps Week of December 11, 2006

Friday, December 15, 2006
At Forrester, Nick flashed back to Taylor's comments during their therapy session. Her words definitely resonated. Jackie greeted Taylor in the lobby, and commented that Taylor must like a challenge, given how much Nick likes to keep things to himself. Taylor joined Nick in his office. Nick wanted to blow off therapy and go have lunch on his boat, but Taylor got him to sit down for a bit. Nick recounted his youth and the seamen who looked out for him when he was a young boy. Nick recalled how Frank Payne was a loser whose death didn't affect him, though it left him and Jackie poor. Nick fondly recalled a sailor named Jerry Kramer who had given Nick a pair of pearl earrings to give to Jackie for Christmas. Jackie cried and said she couldn't accept them, but Jerry insisted. Nick fondly recalled how Jerry became friends with them and would come visit for dinner. Nick seemed to get lost in thought. When Taylor got his attention he abruptly ended their session and told Taylor to make the next appointment with his secretary.

Stephanie dismissed Ann's overtures for forgiveness. Ann said she was an old dying woman who would like to be forgiven by Stephanie for everything that happened, but said she realized Stephanie might not be able to do so. Stephanie asked for time alone with Ann. In another room, Pam asked Felicia why she let them in after Stephanie slammed the door on them. Felicia said it was out of curiosity: "What kind of people must you be for my mother to slam the door in your faces?" Pam fretted that Felicia blamed her for not speaking out years ago, but Felicia assured her that she didn't — and neither did Steph. Pam said she blames herself, and explained when her father died and Stephanie left home, Pam felt a responsibility to step in and look after Ann. Pam admitted that what happened in the past can't be changed but hoped that if Stephanie could forgive Ann then they could be a family again. Meanwhile, Stephanie conceded to Ann that she thought it would be easier to pretend that Ann was dead all these years, but it wasn't. The holidays were very hard. But Stephanie felt that Ann didn't give her any choice. Ann offered her unconditional apologies and insisted she wasn't being melodramatic and manipulative when she says she doesn't know how much time she has left. Stephanie said the damage has been done, her children are HER blessing, and Ann doesn't deserve to be part of their lives. Stephanie said as much as she wants to forgive Ann, she can't. Ann pleaded for a chance to make up for her mistakes. Stephanie said it's too late. She can accept her apology but can't forgive her, and asked her to leave. "It's just too late," sighed Stephanie as she leaned on Felicia's shoulder after hearing the door close.

Ridge had a fond flashback to his amorous past with Brooke, but was brought back to present-day when Brooke walked in modeling a sexy negligee for him. The two began to kiss passionately, and quickly made their way to the bed. "You still make my toes curl," Brooke said after they made love. "I'll be your sex slave any time you want, Logan," cooed Ridge in return. During their pillow talk Ridge revealed Taylor's plan to get Forrester Creations back from Nick for them. Later Taylor arrived and explained why she thought she could persuade Nick to give up the company. Ridge told Taylor that Stephanie seems to be getting over what she recalled too well, and asked Taylor for advice on how to help Stephanie. Taylor said the best thing everyone can do is just be there for her and let her know when she starts resorting to her old controlling patterns, etc. Taylor conceded that unless Ann was willing to reach out to Stephanie in some way, Stephanie may not really get the breakthrough she wants.

Felicia complained to Stephanie about Dante's absence. Felicia suggested that Stephanie's abuse is big news and shouldn't be swept under the rug. Felicia said it explained so much about their childhood and how she parented her and her siblings. Felicia said she has new understanding of Stephanie, and declared her hope that she's as good of a mother to Dominick as Stephanie was to her. Felicia told her she should be proud of being a survivor. Stephanie said that Ann is out of her life and said no one in the family will ever have to worry about seeing or dealing with her. Felicia remarked how much Dominick has changed her, and said that as a mother herself she finds Ann's behavior all the more appalling. Stephanie said she realized that she spent 30 years hoping that her mother would eventually acknowledge what happened, but realized that she's never going to change, so she's done hoping. Just then, the doorbell rang. "Hello Stephanie," said Ann, with Pam in tow. Stephanie slammed the door in their faces. Felicia asked Stephanie if she wasn't the least bit curious about what they wanted. Stephanie said NO and told Felicia to ignore the doorbell ringing. Felicia defied her mother and opened the door and invited them in, much to Stephanie's dismay. Stephanie was angry at Pam for Ann's visit. Ann pleaded with Stephanie to give her a chance to talk. Stephanie told Ann to say what she has to say then get out. Ann said she had been thinking a lot about what she said during her visit in Chicago. Ann admitted to what Stephanie's father did to her, and conceded she knew about the abuse. She said she was never strong enough to stand up to John and stop the abuse; she just couldn't. Ann said she's ashamed of herself for her weakness and failure as a mother. Ann begged Stephanie for her forgiveness. Stephanie was speechless (for once!).

Bridget made breakfast for Shane. "Phoebe used to make me breakfast, too," he noted. Then she rebandaged his ribs. Enter Phoebe. He assumed she had the police right behind her, but she didn't. "Does this mean you'll let me back into your life again?" Shane asked. Sure, she said. "I'm going to be the kind of man who deserves somebody like you," he promised. Then they made out in front of Dr. Bridget.

Eric brainstormed with Thorne and Ridge about their new company. Ridge was preoccupied with the Phoebe/Shane situation (at this point, she was at the police station trying to have the rape charges against Shane dropped). Eric changed the subject by focusing on finding a name for the new company. He also wondered if he could have Jackie talk some sense into Nick. Thorne revealed that Taylor has a plan; she's taking Nick on as a patient. (Is that ethical?)

Nick made a shrink joke with Taylor. "You're not happy," she concluded. "You're looking for something and you still haven't found it." "This sounds as though you are preaching to me," the new Forrester CEO accused. "I don't think I really need this. Don't tell me how I feel." "Just talk to me," Taylor insisted. "When I was a boy..." he joked. But then he got serious and talked about growing up with just him and his mother, since his father abandoned them, and how he later learned Massimo was his father. But then he stopped abruptly and told her the session was over.

Just like the episode.

A bloody and broken Shane made his way to Bridget's beach house. He scared the heck out of her, but once she calmed down, her doctor gene kicked in and she patched him up as best she could. Meanwhile, a protective Ridge warned Phoebe to stay away from Shane. "If you see him again, you call the police," he instructed. Phoebe proved to be a disobedient little girl when Bridget called her with news of Shane's condition. Phoebe stopped Bridget from calling the police and assured her sis that Shane wasn't dangerous. Bridget agreed to let Shane stay for the night. Later, Bridget told Shane he most likely had a broken rib and needed it checked. She also warned him to not take advantage of 18-year-old Phoebe. He assured Bridget he'd leave the next morning. When Phoebe called again to talk to Shane, she told him she was getting the charges dropped. "You have no idea how much that means to me," Shane smiled, then told her he planned on leaving town. "I don't want you to disappear," Phoebe pleaded. "I believe in you."

Nick delivered the bad news to his mother that all of their employees were quitting Forrester Creations. Jackie had more important things on her mind: Nick's love life. (Surprise, surprise.) She advised her son to go after Taylor because he was "ten times the man that Thorne Forrester is."

During a session of pillow talk, Taylor dropped a bomb on Thorne. "What if I told you I could get Forrester Creations back?" Taylor inquired. She hoped with a little persuasion from her, she'd be able to convince Nick to give them the company back. Thorne didn't like the idea of Taylor having to spend time with "the enemy." Later, Taylor was pleased when Nick called her and agreed to counseling. After hanging up, Taylor smiled over at Thorne. "I'm going to do it. I'm going to get Forrester Creations back."

At the Marone mansion, Jackie lamented that Nick's takeover of Forrester backfired because Brooke is now with Ridge and Stephanie is free — and still with Eric. Jackie instructed Nick to take a break and enjoy some of the power he's acquired. Nick said there will be plenty of time for him to start dating again. Taylor arrived and offered Nick an olive branch, literally and figuratively. She said she was there to make peace between him and the Forresters. Suspicious, Nick engaged in a verbal tecirc;te-agrave;-tecirc;te with Taylor, who offered Nick her professional services. Nick countered by reminding Taylor of her own differences with the Forresters, and suggested that she's with Thorne out of obligation or guilt. Taylor didn't take his bait and told him she's there to help him rise above his anger. Taylor reminded him that he once helped her; now it's her turn. She offered him her business card and left. Jackie, who was eavesdropping, remarked that Taylor is an interesting gal — one better than any of the Forresters deserve — and perhaps Nick should talk to her. Nick percolated on Taylor's words. He had flashbacks to their past encounters, and her offer ultimately piqued his curiosities.

Donna paid a visit to Thorne to "clear the air." Thorne suggested maybe she was really there on a recon mission for Nick. Donna denied that she was being used. Thorne insisted that's what Nick wants with her. Taylor returned home, where Thorne surprised her with an official romantic marriage proposal — and a suggestion that they finally set an actual date. Taylor happily said yes, accepted his ring, and the two kissed.

Phoebe defended Shane to Bridget, who expressed concern for Phoebe's safety where Shane is concerned. Bridget told Phoebe that Shane sought medical assistance from her at the hospital. Phoebe expressed guilt and remorse for leading on Shane just to get him to testify for her mother. Bridget asked Phoebe to promise her to be careful. Phoebe insisted that Shane isn't a bad guy after all. Shane arrived and demanded to talk to Phoebe. Over Bridget's objections, Shane apologized to Phoebe and insisted that he never meant her or her family any harm. After Shane gushed about how much she had changed his life, Phoebe was sold and she willingly kissed Shane as a dismayed Bridget looked on. Then, Shane fled as Phoebe called after him.
