B&B Recaps Week of December 11, 2006Friday, December 15, 2006
Stephanie dismissed Ann's overtures for forgiveness. Ann said she was an old dying woman who would like to be forgiven by Stephanie for everything that happened, but said she realized Stephanie might not be able to do so. Stephanie asked for time alone with Ann. In another room, Pam asked Felicia why she let them in after Stephanie slammed the door on them. Felicia said it was out of curiosity: "What kind of people must you be for my mother to slam the door in your faces?" Pam fretted that Felicia blamed her for not speaking out years ago, but Felicia assured her that she didn't — and neither did Steph. Pam said she blames herself, and explained when her father died and Stephanie left home, Pam felt a responsibility to step in and look after Ann. Pam admitted that what happened in the past can't be changed but hoped that if Stephanie could forgive Ann then they could be a family again. Meanwhile, Stephanie conceded to Ann that she thought it would be easier to pretend that Ann was dead all these years, but it wasn't. The holidays were very hard. But Stephanie felt that Ann didn't give her any choice. Ann offered her unconditional apologies and insisted she wasn't being melodramatic and manipulative when she says she doesn't know how much time she has left. Stephanie said the damage has been done, her children are HER blessing, and Ann doesn't deserve to be part of their lives. Stephanie said as much as she wants to forgive Ann, she can't. Ann pleaded for a chance to make up for her mistakes. Stephanie said it's too late. She can accept her apology but can't forgive her, and asked her to leave. "It's just too late," sighed Stephanie as she leaned on Felicia's shoulder after hearing the door close.
Thursday, December 14, 2006 Felicia complained to Stephanie about Dante's absence. Felicia suggested that Stephanie's abuse is big news and shouldn't be swept under the rug. Felicia said it explained so much about their childhood and how she parented her and her siblings. Felicia said she has new understanding of Stephanie, and declared her hope that she's as good of a mother to Dominick as Stephanie was to her. Felicia told her she should be proud of being a survivor. Stephanie said that Ann is out of her life and said no one in the family will ever have to worry about seeing or dealing with her. Felicia remarked how much Dominick has changed her, and said that as a mother herself she finds Ann's behavior all the more appalling. Stephanie said she realized that she spent 30 years hoping that her mother would eventually acknowledge what happened, but realized that she's never going to change, so she's done hoping. Just then, the doorbell rang. "Hello Stephanie," said Ann, with Pam in tow. Stephanie slammed the door in their faces. Felicia asked Stephanie if she wasn't the least bit curious about what they wanted. Stephanie said NO and told Felicia to ignore the doorbell ringing. Felicia defied her mother and opened the door and invited them in, much to Stephanie's dismay. Stephanie was angry at Pam for Ann's visit. Ann pleaded with Stephanie to give her a chance to talk. Stephanie told Ann to say what she has to say then get out. Ann said she had been thinking a lot about what she said during her visit in Chicago. Ann admitted to what Stephanie's father did to her, and conceded she knew about the abuse. She said she was never strong enough to stand up to John and stop the abuse; she just couldn't. Ann said she's ashamed of herself for her weakness and failure as a mother. Ann begged Stephanie for her forgiveness. Stephanie was speechless (for once!).
Wednesday, December 13, 2006 Eric brainstormed with Thorne and Ridge about their new company. Ridge was preoccupied with the Phoebe/Shane situation (at this point, she was at the police station trying to have the rape charges against Shane dropped). Eric changed the subject by focusing on finding a name for the new company. He also wondered if he could have Jackie talk some sense into Nick. Thorne revealed that Taylor has a plan; she's taking Nick on as a patient. (Is that ethical?) Nick made a shrink joke with Taylor. "You're not happy," she concluded. "You're looking for something and you still haven't found it." "This sounds as though you are preaching to me," the new Forrester CEO accused. "I don't think I really need this. Don't tell me how I feel." "Just talk to me," Taylor insisted. "When I was a boy..." he joked. But then he got serious and talked about growing up with just him and his mother, since his father abandoned them, and how he later learned Massimo was his father. But then he stopped abruptly and told her the session was over. Just like the episode.
Tuesday, December 12, 2006 Nick delivered the bad news to his mother that all of their employees were quitting Forrester Creations. Jackie had more important things on her mind: Nick's love life. (Surprise, surprise.) She advised her son to go after Taylor because he was "ten times the man that Thorne Forrester is." During a session of pillow talk, Taylor dropped a bomb on Thorne. "What if I told you I could get Forrester Creations back?" Taylor inquired. She hoped with a little persuasion from her, she'd be able to convince Nick to give them the company back. Thorne didn't like the idea of Taylor having to spend time with "the enemy." Later, Taylor was pleased when Nick called her and agreed to counseling. After hanging up, Taylor smiled over at Thorne. "I'm going to do it. I'm going to get Forrester Creations back."
Monday, December 11, 2006 Donna paid a visit to Thorne to "clear the air." Thorne suggested maybe she was really there on a recon mission for Nick. Donna denied that she was being used. Thorne insisted that's what Nick wants with her. Taylor returned home, where Thorne surprised her with an official romantic marriage proposal — and a suggestion that they finally set an actual date. Taylor happily said yes, accepted his ring, and the two kissed. Phoebe defended Shane to Bridget, who expressed concern for Phoebe's safety where Shane is concerned. Bridget told Phoebe that Shane sought medical assistance from her at the hospital. Phoebe expressed guilt and remorse for leading on Shane just to get him to testify for her mother. Bridget asked Phoebe to promise her to be careful. Phoebe insisted that Shane isn't a bad guy after all. Shane arrived and demanded to talk to Phoebe. Over Bridget's objections, Shane apologized to Phoebe and insisted that he never meant her or her family any harm. After Shane gushed about how much she had changed his life, Phoebe was sold and she willingly kissed Shane as a dismayed Bridget looked on. Then, Shane fled as Phoebe called after him.
