B&B Recaps Week of January 1, 2007

Friday, January 5, 2007
On the day of the fashion show, Nick assured nervous Marone board member George that the Forrester Creations event will be a hit. Some reporters pressed Nick and Jackie on why they're now running the fashion house instead of the Forresters, but Nick refused to answer. He then thanked his employees for their work. "Let's put on a hell of a show," he cheered. Nick and Jackie took their seats in the audience as Clarke emerged on stage and kicked off the show. The models strutted the runway in cruise line designs and the audience appeared to be impressed. "I say we've got a hit here," Nick crowed to George. "We've beat the Forresters at their own game."

Stephanie told Ridge that a depressed Eric went on a drive after reading a snipe about his career in the press. Captain Kramer showed up in his white dress uniform. "You look so handsome," Steph lauded. Kramer once again asked if she was sure that Jackie wanted to see him and Stephanie assured him that she did. After they left, Taylor showed up to offer emotional support to Eric but, Ridge revealed that he knew Jackie was a prostitute. Taylor was angry that Stephanie spilled the beans. "How can she do this to me?" she raged. When Ridge defended his mother's actions, Taylor deduced that Stephanie was going to pull something at the fashion show and ran out. Ridge followed.

Stephanie snuck Kramer into a room adjoining the showroom and introduced him to Thorne. Kramer spied Jackie on a monitor during the live airing of the fashion show. "She's still so lovely," he marveled. Stephanie mumbled to Thorne, "And still a tramp." Clarke was surprised to find Stephanie backstage, but he was knocked out cold by Thorne. Nick took the stage where he made a special acknowledgment to his mother. The show continued and a confused Donna came out on the runway, escorted by Kramer. Enraged, Nick leapt on the stage and grabbed the old guy. "Did you know Jackie Marone was his No 1 prostitute?" Stephanie announced over the p.a. system. "That's right... The new owner of Forrester Creations is nothing but a common whore." The reporters immediately swarmed around Jackie.

Thorne and Taylor woke up in each other's arms. He fretted about his dad's depression and she tried to allay his fears. "Unfortunately, the situation is still in Nick's hands," she noted.

As Nick surveyed the Forrester showroom, George, a Marone board member, showed up and reminded Nick that he didn't have a lot of faith in Nick's foray into the fashion world. "You're the CEO so whatever happens, good or bad, falls upon you," George noted. After he left, Jackie attempted to make peace with her son but he rebuffed her. Taylor walked in and defended Jackie. "It's time to put this behind you," urged Taylor. "Let it go.... Find a way to forgive your mother." Nick finally softened and made up with Mom. "I love you and I always will," he said and they embraced. But Nick said he never wanted to hear about Jackie's past again and she agreed.

Stephanie and Ridge salivated over the potential public scandal Captain Jerry Kramer could cause for both Jackie and Nick. Kramer arrived and asked why Stephanie wanted to see him. "This is sort of a surprise party for your oldest and perhaps dearest friend, Jackie Payne," Steph explained, then lied about how fond Jackie was still of him. Stephanie then invited Kramer to attend a tribute she had planned for Jackie. He was surprised that she would want to see him again, but Stephanie assured him it would be a happy reunion. Kramer finally accepted. "This will make a day for her that she'll never forget," Stephanie smiled. After Kramer left, Thorne arrived and overheard that Jackie was a prostitute. Stephanie revealed to him that she was going to use that info against Jackie to get back Forrester Creations. Thorne worried how this would impact Taylor, however Stephanie convinced her son to support their plan.

Stephanie barged into Forrester Creations and warned Jackie to convince Nick to sell Forrester Creations before it's too late. Nick arrived and ordered Stephanie to leave. "Don't say I didn't warn you," Steph muttered to Jackie before exiting. Jackie tried in vain to make amends with Nick. With the Marone board of directors breathing down his neck, he was more worried about the success of his first fashion show.

Taylor arrived at Ridge's house and explained that his mother was frustrated with her. Ridge assured the shrink that it wasn't her fault that Nick reneged on his deal, but Taylor insisted that Marone didn't back out. Stephanie arrived and asked to speak to Taylor alone. When Ridge was gone, Stephanie raged that Nick lied and had no intention of selling back the company. Taylor demanded that La Forrester stay out of it, but she wasn't about to. "That son of a bitch is a thief, his mother is a whore," Steph bellowed. Taylor warned Stephanie not to use that privileged information to get back the company. "You need to be patient and let me work with him a little bit more," Taylor argued.

Stephanie went home and pondered her next move. "If I use this information, I can get the company back," she said to herself. Ridge showed up and suggested they publicly expose Jackie's past, but Stephanie was worried about Taylor's career. Ridge said they needed to track down one of Jackie's johns to do the dirty work for them. Stephanie remembered Jerry Kramer's name. "My God, we've got to find him," she declared. Ridge did an Internet search and came up with Kramer's number. Stephanie called him and lied that they had a mutual friend named Jackie Payne who talked very fondly of him. Steph asked Kramer to come up to her home and he agreed to do so the next morning. After hanging up, Stephanie told Ridge they need to reveal Jackie's secret at the fashion show in front of the press.

As Stephanie was cleaning up after her New Year's bash, she conveyed her concern to Ridge over Eric's depression since he sold Forrester Creations to Nick. Steph hinted that Taylor should be able to get the company back so when Ridge pushed his mother for more details, she finally revealed how she found out that Jackie was a former prostitute. Ridge relished over the leverage this nugget gave them, but Steph didn't want to do anything that would jeopardize Taylor's career. Besides, La Forrester pointed out, if Nick honors the bargain Taylor made with him, then Jackie's past will remain a secret.

"Go ahead and slap me if you want," Nick told Taylor after he pulled away from their kiss. Taylor explained that he was only acting out because they connected on an emotional basis, but not to mistake it for anything romantic. However, Nick insisted there was something "fuzzy" between them. Taylor reminded him of their deal, but Nick didn't want to sell Forrester Creations just yet.

After Taylor returned home. Stephanie called and asked if Nick was going to sell. Taylor said that Nick needed more time and Stephanie thought he was stalling. After they hung up, Steph got mad. "I think he's playing a cat-and-mouse game with her," Stephanie theorized. She then charged over to Nick's house and asked him to sign a contract to sell Forrester. "You keep dreaming, Toots, because it ain't happening," he seethed. Step warned that he made a big mistake.

Jackie barged into Taylor's house and blasted the doc for upsetting Nick. "Now he can't even look at me," wailed Jackie. "Because of you, he's never going to see me in the same way again." Taylor advised that Jackie could rebuild a relationship with Nick but she wasn't convinced.
